<Raintalon> »ƑαƖcση"Well, that's good to know." Neb eyed the spot in the river that Volt had blinked in again. Keep the alien away from water, got it. She then only just barely held back a chuckle. "And, no. No. When I said you go back to the second you left your world, that's because time doesn't exist in the House," she explained, "and honestly, it only felt like maybe a minute that you were gone. But there's no time, so no matter how long you think you're here, it just doesn't exist." She knew how it sounded as she said all that. The unbelievable. She remembered that weirdness when trying to adjust the first time. And it was still weird to get used to it all over again.
As Volt continued to answer and converse with Hange, Neb turned back the way they'd been going, scanning the horizon for anything else that could be important. Like more wolves, or whatever the hell else the House had put in here. It seemed quiet, at least for now, and Neb just really hoped the lake turned out to be what they needed to get out. ... As long as that didn't entail going into the water, recalling back to what Volt had just said.

A turquoise-haired girl blinked into the castle behind The Doctor: it was Ononoki, wearing a yellow and red bipart tunic and toting a broadsword. When the time traveler started to move, Ononoki followed her without question, her expression vacant. In fact, there was little indication that she had blinked in at all other than the quiet footsteps from her leather shoes. That is, until one of the moments the other blinker stopped and the doll accidentally poked her in the back with the sword. Thankfully, it wasn't the sharpest point, and it was through clothes nonetheless. Ononoki's lazy reflexes reared the sword back out of the way and she took one step back to avoid a full-on collision. As if hoping The Doctor somehow still hadn't noticed her, a completely unrealistic expectation after being poked with a sword, she kept her mouth shut and her head forward, lowered from the other blinker's perspective.

»ƑαƖcση KDNKFJFJDKDJKD there’s some nuance that makes it slightly less hilarious than that in the show but I am wheezing@ dawn) “Bio...mechanical,” repeated Hange, frowning a little. In theory, they could understand the word, though they’ve never heard it. Bio meant biological, and usually referred to a living organism, and ‘mechanical’ was also obvious, but the two together...well, how would you combine them? They’d never heard of such a thing. Just as they were opening their mouth for another onslaught of questions, Volt interrupted, firing back with a question of her own. “Ah, no, not everyone is human in my world,” they said, brain switching rails almost quicker than their words could catch up. “There are also Titans, who are much larger than humans, usually fifteen to fifty meters in height - they are humanoid, and there is reason to believe that they have some common ancestry, but they are predatory toward humans, and in fact, cause us a great deal of grief. Fascinating though they are - in fact, there are several professors of biology who could attest to - “ (aaaaaaand they’re going to go on forever if they’re not stopped so I’ll stop here and let something happen FCJKFJFK)

The Doctor felt along her back and then said, possibly a bit late, "Ow?" The dress felt a bit torn - not that she cared that much - but her back stung a little. Hopefully that sword didn't have some other universe's diseases that Time Lords could get. Turning, she glanced back at Ononoki and let her eyebrow rise. "Ya got a sword," she said. "Which isn't that sharp." As if a sharp sword should be what was aimed for instead of what she had gotten hit with. "We were heading in that direction," she explained, pointing toward the room with just visible tapestries. It didn't looked that interesting, but at least it should have been acceptable as a place to go. "I'm still trying to find out if anyone else is around," admitted The Doctor. And apparently waiting for people to follow. (Tagging broken before things get to far for Matteo not to catch up. ^^ )

(Oh xD Well.... How about a little bitty titan hiding under a chef’s hat controlling the big one? We need a crossover. Ratatitan ) “Time doesn’t exist?” That answer was deceptively simple. Time was a constant.... except for here, apparently. Volt shook her head but accepted it, for now. She had been doing that a lot recently, both here and in her world. Stop asking questions, just complete the mission: a logic that was universal. After a few moments of Hange speaking, Volt realized she had opened the figurative floodgates. The Tenno tactfully removed her hand from Hange’s grasp and stepped back a little as they continued to speak. At first she was content to let the human ramble, but then... “Wait.” Volt suddenly gestured for quiet, face turned towards the woods. Her voice dropped to a whisper. “Do you hear that?” A rumbling sound seemed to be drawing closer, approaching at an alarming pace. ((Revenge of the wolves??? Something has to force them into the water. dawn <Raintalon> feel free to do what you want with the sound xD )

A moment of shock came over Mallory as she watched Ononoki poke The Doctor with her sword. Once the surprise had dissolved, she picked up her gown again and walked over to the other blinkers. Half of her wanted to ask if The Doctor was okay or try to help her in some way. However, the other half of her wanted to know what being poked felt like. The woman's reaction hadn't been strong, after all. In the end, Mallory decided to stay quiet and stand still, despite her urge to make a comment.

<Raintalon> »ƑαƖcση Neb's ears had twitched just a moment before Volt spoke, but as she quieted Hange down and silence fell over them, a deep frown crossed Neb's face as the noise from within the trees reached her. "Yeah," she answered back, carefully taking a couple of steps closer to the forest.
Her eyes scanned the treeline, brow creased, and one hand flexed at the ready. There wasn't a direct source of the sounds, Neb realized, it was echoing far too much to pinpoint where it was coming from. She held her other hand up to motion the other two stay as they were as Neb risked inching even closer. The sound seemed to halt for just a moment and Neb's ears remained pointed up, straining to listen.
And then it came crashing through the foliage. The hero nearly tripped on her frantic back up, eyes wide as she got a look at not just one, but four large creatures that bore a resemblance to a mix of the wolves from earlier and a bear in its size and muscles. Neb turned quick, teleporting in a flash to reappear next to Hange and Volt. "We gotta move! Now!"

The sword swayed backward in Ononoki's hands with its blade upward, as if too heavy for her to properly control. Her mouth was a simple upside-down 'u' shape of either frustration or concentration, but her eyes did not reflect any emotion, much less the same emotion to match her mouth. "I'm sorry," she informed The Doctor. That's all it was: informing her. She did truly mean it, but it was impossible to tell if this was the case just by looking at her. And of course following the apology she gave an obligatory, "...I said with a posed look." She stepped around the other blinker now, careful to avoid poking her a second time with the sword. She avoided poking Mallory for a first time, too, walking past them both at an almost embarrassed pace to enter the tapestry room. At this point the sword's hilt was upward instead so that her accidental malice didn't cause any fabric casualties.

[[ Living Room || Arlo || dawn ]]
"Yeah..." Arlo hoped so. She didn't want to add to the already too long list of people who'd died because of... whatever this was. She hesitated to answer Rae's question. "Well... I'm not sure that I'd call anywhere on this island 'safe' but I've been here long enough that I have an idea of what to expect and know places to go where I shouldn't be found." She glanced down at her hand as she let go of her necklace. Her gloves were torn and stained with dried blood. She tried summoning some energy, but it crackled faintly over her fingers for only a second before flickering out. "It shouldn't be too long before we're ready to start moving again."

Though Arlo was glad to be alive and blinking again, she had kind of been hoping the House would give her a bit of a break after her last blink so that she would have time to finish recovering- and maybe time to figure out what the heck she was going to say to the people who knew that she'd died- but it didn't really come as a surprise when she found herself back in the House only a couple hours after she'd returned from her last blink. Standing by the doorway, Arlo looked a bit better than last time. Her coat, though still torn and stained like the rest of her clothes, was mostly dry now and she seemed a bit more alert, her gaze darting around at... well, thanks to the House she was just looking out the door at the empty hallway.

(Soooooo sorry for late reply.) Blinking in, Kid fell backwards into the couch. By the look of it, it looked like he'd been purposefully falling back in his own world, that cocky grin on his face and arms spread wide. This his back met the couch and he bounced a bit. "Oof," he muttered. He shook his head and looked around, trying to figure out if he'd landed in a room or just the living room. Living room. Then he froze, looking at Arlo with wide eyes. Very, very hesitantly, he stood up. "Hey," he said. Then tacked on, "You've been here before, right? You aren't an ... alternate version or something?"

(that's ok!) Half lost in thought as she looked out the door, Arlo didn't notice when Kid blinked in at first and froze when he spoke. For a few brief moments her gaze darted around as if she hoped the House would give her some idea of what to say. So much for planning an explanation... She still wasn't sure if she understood what had happened. Finally she turned to face him with an attempt at a smile that failed to hide her uncertainty and nodded. "Hey Kaito," she replied. She glanced away then back to him again, a wave of guilt washing over her as she remembered the last time they'd spoken. "I'm so sorry I... I honestly had no idea- I mean, I'm still not sure how I'm here, I-I really thought that was it."

It was almost a slow dawn of understanding that this was the Arlo that he knew. Whatever she knew, it was going to be alright. Kid stood up from the couch and took several hurried steps toward Arlo before his arms wrapped around her in a hug. He was almost crying in relief. He hadn't expected to see her again. "It's really you?" he could hardly believe it. Then he laughed and stepped away, holding Arlo at arms length, looking her over. "I guess we're even." She'd believed him dead ones (and well, he had been) and he'd believed she was (and maybe she had been and maybe she hadn't). But he didn't care. "I never thought I'd see you again - particularly after your younger self started blinking in." He looked so relieved.

Another perfect day under a beautiful blue sky...
The morning breeze gently blew across the airship's deck, but besides that the world was almost silent. The crew were still asleep below deck, all besides the one figure standing at the ship's bow. His eyes were closed, face an expression of quiet contentment. In one hand he held an ornate cup, the steam rising from it showing it's contents, an expresso made from an ancient species of fruit, were still hot. He lifted it to his mouth and downed some of it, but froze mid-action as the air suddenly fell still.
From all appearances, the new blinker was human. At least, until his eyes flew open to reveal a pair of red irises, letting on that there was more to him then one might first think. When he saw that the deck of the airship had transformed into the living space of a old, rundown looking house, he managed to keep his composure as a slightly confused, albeit unamused expression crossed his features.
The newbie's first thoughts as his head tilted down to look at cup he was holding, was that one of the ingredients he'd used in his drink must have been bad. Considering the care he always put into his brews though, that was impossible. Was this some kind of vision, then?
...No. This felt different. Whatever was going on, it was happening right at this moment and was very real. Finally speaking for the first time today, "W-what is this nonsense?"

Elliot waltzed through the darkness, with his eyes shut. He listened for frantic footsteps bouncing off the stone cold floor. With his sword at hand, he swiped, feeling the tip of his sword impact continuously. One by one, something impacted the ground with a large thud, and for each thud, the footsteps had started to decrease. Now there was only one set of footsteps, as he quickly pursued after. The footsteps stopped, as did he. Standing upright, he positioned the blade, eyes still closed, "disparaître" he spoke out, before swinging the blade, 45% upwards.
He felt the sword force itself through an obstacle, but he never heard the thud. He couldn't help but waver, because of the lack in response. He was certain that the target should be on the floor, but his target was standing across from him. Wanting to see the explanation for himself, he opened his eyes, only to stumble back with one hand over his eyes. With his other hand, he used his recently stained sword to pierce the wooden floor, for extra leverage. He gripped the sword to prevent himself from falling. With his balance restored, he proceeded to slowly open his eyes. Initially, he kept his head down, to adjust his vision. Continuously blinking in irritation, he couldn't help but tighten his gaze from time to time. After the lighting was somewhat more tolerable, he slowly raised his head, still somewhat twitching his eyes in response to the drastic lighting. He had let go of the sword, now recomposing his posture. His turquoise eyes fell upon the stranger with red irises, standing where his target stood only moments ago. Of course.... It made sense-the house decided to not grant him a last laugh. When the stranger standing a few feet from him, spoke up, he couldn't help but shake his head. "the kind that tricksters pride themselves too well."

While able to maintain his composure before, the newbie's face flashed a look of suprise as as a humanoid creature suddenly manifested into existence in front of him. He barely had enough time to take a quick step back as they swung a blade upwards right at him, free arm rushing to protect his beloved coffee cup.
A quick shot of pain raced up from his elbow as the oncoming weapon, thankfully, hit that instead. It managed to cut the the clothing covering the skin and draw open a long cut, although this didn't seem to bother the new blinker as he now placed that arm on the hilt of the sword hanging off his waist, now fully on the defensive. If one caught a glimpse of the wound, they would see the flesh already mending itself together.
Instead of trying to attack again however, as had been expected, the other blinker stumbled back and hid his eyes like he'd been blinded. All the newbie could do was watch with narrowed eyes full of suspicion, as he struggled for awhile, before finally seeming to make it through whatever had just ailed him.
"Those 'tricksters' wouldn't happen to include you, would they?" The newbie replied with an accusatory tone in his voice, not letting down his guard one bit. "What business do you have with me?" Hopefully whatever mess was happening now was only being directed at him, and that the others on the ship were still safe. As long as they were, he could handle things just fine.

The stranger a few feet away seemed restless. Seeing them in a protective posture, furthermore, defensively protecting their tea, he couldn't help but glimpse at his sword before returning his attention to the stranger. The smell of blood was still in the air. At first he assumed that it was from his sword, but there seemed to be another scent standing a few steps away. It took Elliot a brief moment to register the other individual's strange reaction. Now seeing the blood coming from the stranger's elbow, he couldn't help but assume he was responsible for the cause. Intending to apologize, he shifted his body towards the side, "Apologies." He softly commented. The smell of fresh blood was starting decrease, it was a strange occurrence given how recent the wound was inflicted. Nonetheless, he decided against commenting on the observation.
Ellior's pupils seemed to have been responding to the lighting, especially his irritation to the sudden change in lighting. Thankfully, because they were indoors, the time it took to adjust to the lighting was much faster then it would have been if they were outdoors.
Elliot silently jerked his head back, at the accusation. Keeping a nuetral expression, he couldn't help but quickly counter. "I'd be a dead man, before I take on such a horrid task." He turned his head towards the side, to examine the room-it appeared to be the same. Very much like the previous encounter. "I have no business with you." His attention returned to the stranger. "This house, decided to pull you from your personal affairs." His head moved towards the floor, observing his blade, "I too was unfortunately pulled from my affairs."

He hadn't expected his Arlo and the young version to be the same. "Wait, so you were the first blinker ... but were also blinking into the House before you became the first blinker?" He shook his head, trying to wrap his head around that. Time moved in the oddest ways here, he'd always know that, but what Arlo had done was beyond the usual small paradoxes he witnessed day to day. "How?" he wondered. "Well ... the Paradox House ... but how didn't you start telling people what happened or what you already knew about this place if you'd already been here when you were eleven?"

[[ Living Room || Arlo (2) || mintedstar/fur ]] Arlo nodded quickly. She was grinning now and seemed happier than she had in, well, quite awhile. "It was!" She couldn't help but laugh at his question. It sounded ridiculous, and it was. There was no way it should have been possible but as she'd told plenty of blinkers over the years, the House had a very warped idea of what was possible that rarely made sense. "It's completely mad isn't it? All this time..." Finally. She couldn't find the words to express her relief. "Believe me, I wanted to tell everyone everything when I came back for the second- first time, but I was worried that if I did I'd mess things up somehow..." she trailed off, then added, "When I was here then and I found out that an older version of myself had been here before... well, no one actually told me that I was going to die but it wasn't hard to figure out. I always thought that meant I wouldn't come back..." So she'd expected her death because everyone had acted like she'd died... because she'd expected her death to be permanent and had told them all. The more she thought about it the less sense it made, but at this point she didn't really care, she was just glad to be back.

No. It made no sense. Not even a little. Kaito stopped thinking about it before he tried to figure it out further. Then he dipped his head and murmured, "Well ... then I guess we chalk it up to House madness again and move on." He rubbed at the back of his head, sighing. "What and how much has happened since the last time you were here?" This older version of her that was. She looked the same as she had before. How had she survived? Hadn't she fallen from a crashing plane? He seemed to remember someone had been flying the plane as well. "Your friend? Are they alright?" he questioned. "Are you alright?" He had to ask. Even if she looked okay ... well ... he hadn't exactly come back the same person after he had died.

The newbie raised his brows as the unfamiliar man only just seemed to realize what he'd done and apologized. As brief as it was, it didn't seem like a forced reply, and was genuine enough. The tension between them lowered slightly and his grip on his blade loosened by just a bit, but his hand still stayed where it was, at the ready to swing the weapon if things went south. By now, the wound had fully closed up with not even a scar remaining. That was a Primal Beast's accelerated regeneration for you, as while normal weapons might be able to slightly damage them, only extremely special ones could permanently kill them. And that was just the basic Primals, of which this new blinker was not.
"Is that so?" The strange man's retort caused the corners of the newbie's mouth to curl up in a half smile, as he found it amusing. Such a dramatic comeback to a simple question was impossible not to find a bit funny. He could almost hear in his mind how some of the other members of the crew would respond to such a reply, mostly on how you shouldn't be so serious all the time and learn to have fun.
Something he, himself, was still learning to do again...
Meanwhile, there was no longer a warm steam rising from the expresso he had worked so hard to keep safe. Of course, that didn't disuade the new blinker from finishing it off regardless as the other man turned his attention towards the room around them. What came next almost made him choke when he heard it, and he let out an awkward cough.
"This... house?" To any other person, the concept of a building teleporting them inside of itself would have sounded like... Well, nonsense. But for this newbie, the suspicion he'd felt before towards the man in the room with him instead transitioned into something akin to understanding. The pieces began to fall together and things started to make sense, at least from his perspective.
There must have been another Primal hiding in here somewhere, and for whatever reason it was dragging random people into this one particular house. It was also apparently able to hide its presence, as even now, the new blinker couldn't sense it at all. "Since you seem familiar with what's going on here. Am I wrong to assume that this isn't the first time this has happened to you?"

Elliot placed a hand gently against his chest, taking a steady long breath while jerking his head slightly back with his eyes closed briefly. It was a physical way to recompose himself, as he was trying to quickly transition from his previous scenario into the next one. His attention turned towards his sword still pierced in the ground. Some of the fresh blood on the blade was starting to seep downwards.
He placed a hand on the hilt of his sword, gripping it lightly. Almost immediately the sword had started to dematerialize, from the ground up. Lastly, the hilt was vanishing and soon his hand was simply where the hilt once was. Some of the blood had unfortunately stained to the floor, how upsetting.. He thought to himself.
The question further asking to reaffirm the earlier question of tricksters, made Elliot lean towards the right. He paid no mind to the smile-given he knew nothing about the individual before him. For all he knew, the individual standing in front of him either carried strange humor or found something amusing. but what? He thought in slight confusion.
The stranger's next reaction, caught his attention enough to force him to shift his posture. Hearing the stranger cough, he twitched hesitant as to whether the individual was dying or ill. Yet, the rest of Elliot's senses said otherwise. It was evident that the other man was fine, perhaps shocked, given the stranger's physical reaction.
Elliot fell silent, listening to the other individual now. Some of the questions that had risen, brought some points that Elliot failed to explain. He tilted his head slightly, with his eyes looking upwards to recall what he mentioned moments ago, and what he hadn't.
"Others who reside here, call this The Paradox house. A location, as I am to understand, that pulls individuals from different times and places" He slowly proceeded to cross his arms. "This place likes to pull individuals from whatever point in time they are in, to prioritize their attention to this location. As for here." He raised his hand slightly up, which was arm was still resting on the other arm, "Yet as to where here is, we have yet to understand." He now gripped himself.
Shaking his head slowly, he shrugged. "Sometimes, this place requests an audience with you, without considering your ongoing commitments."

The Paradox house? Sounded like a fitting title.
While his previous reaction had been more out of suprise then shock, the latter was a perfect description of his next as the newbie's red eyes widened and his demeanor took on a stiffer posture. The power behind this could reach through time as well? Something on that level was definitely no normal Primal.
The rest of Elliot's description of the house only helped confirm what the new blinker had previously assumed about a Primal being the source of everything going on, which probably wasn't intentional. He closed his eyes and crossed his own arms in thought and tried to figure out where to go from here.
A being with power like that couldn't just be left to run amok, and as the new Supreme Primarch, it was his duty to keep things like this in check. There was also the fact that he just wanted to keep everyone else back home safe too, even if it hadn't already been expected of him now.
"Pretty bold of it to choose me." The new blinker replied with a bit of a smug smile, although he meant nothing ill by it. "Supreme Primarch Sandalphon doesn't just grant audience to anybody who asks for it." Unless they were requesting one of his coffee brews that was. Any hints of hesitation he might have been displaying before were gone, now he was surrounded by an air of confidence.
One step at a time though...
"What about you? Care to tell me your name?" Now that the overarching issue was settled for now, the Primarch was interested in learning more about the other man. He could tell he wasn't human, but besides that he wasn't sure what Elliot was. The fancy garb he wore gave away that he was at least a member of higher rank in the society he came from. He also seemed quite powerful, judging from the strong magic Sandalphon could sense within him.

(Are they in the room yet? I was late getting started but I'm hoping to jump in now. )
