Well, that was different. Juuzou glanced dangerously away from the road to see if the girl was stuck somehow, but there was no visible reason for her to lay in such an uncomfortable position. She looked as though she got dragged into maximum-velocity bumper cars every other day, although her expression almost felt like it was accusing him of doing it wrong. He looked back at the road barely in time and turned hard, narrowly avoiding a kid, a person with long, wild hair and goggles, and a puzzled man with green eyes. “Sit up.” He reached over and tried to tug the girl into a more comfortable position, nearly causing the car to flip over. Then he grabbed the wheel with both hands again as his target fled and he abruptly turned it again, with time going into a wild spin that ended with them facing the opposite direction and squealing back the way they’d come. “Wheeeeeeeee!” He shouted at the top of his lungs, to anyone who happened to hear him. Then he slammed his foot down as far as it would go, shooting straight towards a solid wall.

The girl in the yellow galoshes looked faintly dizzy after being thrown around. She didn’t move when he asked her to; no one here was her master, and only Kagenui could ask anything of her and expect results. But she did put in a bit of effort when he pushed her closer to a sitting position, and she managed to stay in the seat without holding onto anything. Her turquoise pigtails fluttered harshly in the wind, as well as the cloth of her hat. Her expression remained hollow and blank while they barreled toward Aizawa, apparently not worried about hitting any of these bystanders. She was complacent with Juuzou’s fun, and more than willing to accompany him on this joy ride. But when they ended up on a course for a wall, going at full speed, something must have triggered in her. Without saying a word, she both stood up and leapt at the same time, the frills in her dress flowing wistfully with the movement as she grabbed Juuzou under his arms and pulled him from the miniature vehicle. She moved as though the other blinker were weightless; there wasn’t so much as a tumble, but instead her galoshes landing delicately on the floor and her hands lowering so that his feet met with the surface in front of her. After her hair settled, as well as her skirt—every ruffle fluttering into place—she returned her hands to her sides and stared at him with her expressionless gaze. “Be careful,” she said, voice monotone.

Juuzou’s small body tensed as he felt himself being scooped up, and his knife was clutched in his hand before he’d made the decision to reach for it. He managed to stop himself from stabbing at the girl, though only barely, as he realized he wasn’t being attacked. In fact...was she trying to rescue him? He hadn’t actually intended to crash them into the wall. Well, okay, he had, but he'd been planning to grab her and leap out into another car before they actually collided. He was actually slightly offended that she’d thought he was that pointlessly stupid. Reckless yes, impulsive of course, but he did at least have some basic survival instinct. As his feet touched the ground however, he forgot to feel insulted and craned his neck to look behind him at the car, just as it slammed into the wall with an crash like a clap of thunder. Deep cracks appeared in the front and sides, and wheel went flying over their heads, and the main body ricocheted and spun backwards twice before falling over on its side and giving a last little pathetic burst of energy. As soon as the girl let him go, Juuzou darted over to the wall and brushed his fingers over the surface. Which was...completely unharmed. “Look at this.” He waved the odd girl over to join him, partly because she’d just attempted to save his life and partly because he didn’t think anyone else was paying any attention to him. “There isn’t even a dent. If that didn’t do it, it’s going to be pretty hard to find something that will.”

The girl in the yellow galoshes watched Juuzou as he seemingly contemplated striking back with his weapon, but she did not react to it or recognize it as hostility. She had merely acted like a robot that had enough programming to keep him safe from the crash, before returning to her slow, meandering state. The crash reflected in her eyes as she unceremoniously looked on. The dust that puffed up from the wreckage seemed to float around her while missing her completely, as if it decided not to dirty her in particular. When Juuzou stepped forward however and seemed to be showing her something, she followed him by stepping forward and tilting her gaze downward. He was right—there was no sign that the crash had even happened, when looking at the wall. “Ah. You are a good detective,” she said, even the congratulatory words flowing out of her mouth with no real bravado.”...I said with a posed look.” She stood back then and looked down at the Juuzou who stood between her and the wall, her hands settled on the ruffles of her dress and the turquoise bangs that framed her face falling forward slightly. “Do you want me to destroy the wall?” she asked simply. It was as though saving him from the potential crash had been her first task, and now she was making assumptions that he wanted more from her. Even putting that aside, while the question was quite passive and coming from the mouth of a dainty doll-like girl, she seemed completely confident that she could demolish the wall with ease.

Myrnin hadn't actually thought Hange was going to harm him, but that hadn't stopped him from being wary about the new situation. He took a step back, but it wasn't because he was nervous but because he was very close to the other blinkers. This was when Rowlin took his hand and shook it. Myrnin looked at the hand, confused, and not understanding why it had been shaken. But he adjusted well, head tilted in a very Myrnin-like fashion. That was to say it was just a bit too large of a head tilt. He glanced at the hollow rocks, trying to understand them as something other than what he first assumed. Then he looked up at Hange, looking nervous. He could see himself reflected back by their 'eyes'. But he was curious to see what exactly Rowlin meant by these hollow rocks - cars - being fun. He was interested in understanding why, but he didn't want to impose on anyone. Hange watched Myrnin process the situation, as curious about him as he was about the bumper cars. The boy reminded them of themself when they were that age - a little nervous, wide-eyed, curious about everything. ”I’ve been told these things are called ‘bumper cars’,” they told him, standing up and leaning over the door to look inside. Carefully, as they weren’t eager to end up stuck again. “We have no equivalent in my world, so I can only tell you so much about how they work - they do seem quite entertaining to operate, though.” They opened the passenger side door and grinned down at the boy. “Would you like to try?”

The small version of Myrnin seemed to suddenly get about six octaves more excited and his voice match. "Yes!" He hopped a little on his heals, taking a step forward and then a step back. He was already grinning - and the grin was the most Myrnin thing about him. It was too wide, something slightly odd even on a child's face. It also seemed, if possible, a bit unused. But the small boy stepped another step forward, hand on the hood of the 'car' and trying to guess how it have moved. "Does someone have to push?" he questioned. He hadn't seen anyone pushing, but maybe he'd made a mistake. He glanced to Hange for guidance, chewing on his lip out. The 'car' was smooth under his hand, unusual and not at all rock like. It was also just a little cool. It was unnerving but also very, very cool. He wanted to know about it very badly, but Hange had said they didn't know. Disappointing ...

Despite the Bumper Car crashing, and a brief misunderstanding tt seemed like the girl and Jouzou were having a fun time. It did strike him as odd that the wall was unharmed despite the obvious impact. Furthermore the girl offering to detonate the wall, just what kind of offer was that? He couldn't help but briefly cross his arms with a smirk of amusement, Those two are obviously going to get along... He couldn't help but assume. Eitherway his attention redirected to Myrnin and Hange who seemed to be in the process of Bumper Car engagement. Hearing Hange's explanation followed by the boy's step by step reactions, Rowlin couldn't help but laugh. He rested a hand along the top of his head as he laughed, just appreciating the moment. He took a moment to lean along the side of the bumper car after the boy had seated himself. "Thankfully these things move themselves. All you need to do is help it by steering the wheel." He pointed towards the steering wheel adjacent to Hange. "Then using the pedal on the bottom right, you can go. The one on the left is used to stop." He next indicated to the boy. "Using your feet, you alternate or use both feet to stop and go." He smiled his eyes beaming with excitement. "The goal is to bump around with other riders, or you can just drive around for fun." He added now leaning away from the car. He a took a few steps back, standing close to the nearby bumper car. With a wave he smiled, "Amusez-vous bien!" He wished the two fun.

It was cool - the two blinkers were one hundred percent in agreement there. Hange had to admit, they were dying to get under the hood - they didn’t understand how it worked, either. Though they could guess that it was similar to 3DMG technology - steam or gas powered probably, and most likely a gear-based internal system, from the fact that the pedals made the wheels spin. They grinned, tiny Myrnin’s excitement highly contagious. “No pushing,” they told him, climbing into the passenger seat. “All you have to do is push down on the rightmost pedal there, and it goes. Left pedal to stop, and that wheel there is how you choose where to go.” They were, of course, just repeating what they’d managed to figure out in the past hour or so. They’d never seen one of these things before today.

Juuzou reach out and gave the wall gentle push, as though he expected that to somehow work where the impact of a speeding car had failed. “Investigator.” He corrected the girl without looking at her. He doubted his training was helping him much here anyway, since so far he’d concluded only that things didn’t make any sense. Her next words caught his attention. He looked over his shoulder at her, his red eyes narrowed as he searched her expression - or lack of - for any clues as to how she planned on accomplishing that. The fact that he couldn’t see any possible way for her to succeed clinched it for him. “Okay,” He agreed, stepping out of the way to give her a clear shot at the wall.

(He has a way of doing that to people ) Relief flooded Kelsier as the noise began to die down, and he could tell he’d picked the right way to run. It had been hard to tell when it was that loud where it was coming from. As his pewter died down, he lowered the vampire as gently as he could and then sat down himself, breathing as deep as he could in an attempt to not hyperventilate while he caught his breath. “Don’t mention it.” He said dismissively, waving a hand with a bit more drama then strictly necessary. “I thought for sure you were going to go deaf. What was that?” The last part was rhetorical, as he didn’t expect Maladict to know anything. He glanced around as though whatever it was might come striding out of the trees and explain itself. Maladict hadn't been too sure he hadn't been going to go deaf either. He tried to resist the urge to rub at his still painfully ringing ears. It made him wish for a cup of coffee, just to calm down a bit. But he pushed the urge away. "I have no idea," he admitted, not getting rhetorical too well. He was adjusting the strap on one of his boots. It was more of fiddled with it, because it really didn't need to be tightened or loosened. "Well ... I have one idea ... but I'm sure you noticed it better than I did since you seemed less effected." He allowed a slightly pained expression to cross his mouth. "It sounded like a horn. I haven't heard one very often, but still ... it did." If you amplified the sound by about a hundred. "Do you have any theories on why there would be ... that ... in a forest?" Kelsier hadn’t noticed, but once Maladict pointed it out it seemed obvious. ”A horn....” He mused, a puzzled frown creasing his sharp features. The only reason he could imagine a horn being blown in a forest had to do with armies, something he hadn’t considered being here until now. He glanced around the huge trees surrounding them, peering through the unfamiliar green, but the only colors he saw came from the wildflowers. “Not any good ones.” He answered grimly. ”I don’t know what’s common in forests specifically, but if this was in my world I would think an army was announcing itself nearby.” He paused, flaring tin to see if he could hear anything else happening deeper in the forest. His pewter was low, which was bad, but he had one more vial of metals he could use if things went downhill.

Very close... He was hoping that all the topics would be dropped. However, there was relief hitting Elliot as Myrnin replied on his willingness of the action. He refused to show the relief externally but unfortunately it was his heart rate giving it away. On the other hand Myrnin's change in tone changed, had he offended the individual to whom he was conversing with? Unfortunately it wouldn't have been the first time, but to be talked back especially by a vampire. A first... but I am not against it... He looked at Myrnin's eyes , as he was provided with the advice. It was new information, but he would make sure to remember it. "I appreciate the new found knowledge you have shared today." He tried to make up for his earlier remarks. "Ah so they act given the situation?" Elliot replied after about a minute of silence. "Pushing the situation to act or impose, it must be nice, doesn't it?" He raised a curious brow. "To feel when you desire without much repercussion. Surely you must find appreciation in emotions." He softened once again. Shaking his head at the question rebounding at him, "Among the elites there are a few who are said to bear pure blood which traces back to our origins. Those with original blood are according to legend, able to tap to a power yet to be discovered. However, in order to tap into it we must cast away the little humanity we carry. Emotions, physical attachments, and anything which can tie us to our reality." His gaze grew distant. "We are feared and envied by our own people, because of our upbringing. At the same time, those with original blood who decide to carry out a normal life... well.." He closed his lips releasing a rather uncomfortable hum. "They are deemed disgraceful for shaming their family. They become outcasts, and later are hunted down for going against the order of society." He slowly shook his head. "We are forced into a life we may disagree with. Yet if we go against it we are deemed taboo among all classes." He crossed his arms tightly. "While everyone outside the circle of Origin blood carries the freedom to smile, and regret; we do not carry that freedom to which many consider a given." His voice softened. "According to The Queen, my abilities are a small sample of this fairy tale. A story to which I disagree but she is regrettably right." He paused opening the palm of the hand he had on top of his crossed arms. "If we allow emotions to sway us, we become disconnected from our abilities." (I ... took ... so long to reply I'm so sorry. DX ) There didn't seem to be anything to say to that because really, Elliot might have learned things, but Myrnin couldn't really said he'd gone out of his way to say anything important. All this just seemed ... like common knowledge to him. He wasn't sure how he felt about helping Elliot. If he'd wanted to. His head tilted a bit, this way and that, at Elliot's suggestion he should appreciate the freedom of emotion. He had neither thought about doing that before nor had he really ever seen a reason to do so. Why? It wasn't a luxury. If he went out of his way to appreciate it than he'd always be in a constant state of appreciation and what fun was that? Was it that usual for Elliot that the vampires of Myrnin's world had feeling? And then he got his answer and completely froze, every part of him becoming dark, heavy ice shards in his gut. His eyes had grown a bit wide, his hand midway through a gesture as he'd been about to speak. But instead he'd zeroed in on everything Elliot had just said and it hurt. Because that was him. It was an ability gained by different fashions - by birth instead of age - but it was still the same. Elliot's next words were a blur, a muddle of syllables which Myrnin strung together but didn't connect for a very, very long time. Then the vampire cleared his throat ... and cleared it again, since it felt like sandpaper. "I ... I see. And ... and how do you deal with this?" His voice sounded distant, even to him.

The girl in the yellow galoshes didn't seem to register his correction of her wording. There was no way to tell if she would use 'investigator' instead of 'detective' next time she was prompted, so Juuzou would just have to wait and see. When he looked her way, she gave no indication as to how she planned on destroying the wall. She was allowing him to assume she could do it, just like one would assume a hammer could strike a nail; she had expected no second thoughts to come up. Thankfully for her, he did take her seriously enough to back up a few paces, and as he did so, she backed up with him with one arm extended across his front to show him that, well, it needed to be a bit more than that. Once he was sufficiently out of the way to her liking, she walked forward a few paces again, facing the wall with her blank expression. But she didn't get close enough to drill into the wall. She didn't pull anything out from her clothing that might suggest she had a weapon or a tool. And she didn't ball up her fists, either. Instead, she raised her right arm at an angle. She drew her left foot back slightly as if about to make a baseball pitch, and a flash of light emitted from her all of a sudden. "Unlimited Rulebook," she murmured the conjuring words in monotone. "...I said with a posed look." It was as though C4 had been triggered against the wall in front of where she stood. The already-wrecked bumper car was shattered into pieces and sent across the room, and the doll girl seemed to be swallowed by the fiery explosion that consumed a third of the room in that split second. Several nearby cars rattled tensely with the blast and slid a few feet across the shaking floor. Finally, when the moment had died down, the smoke and dust ebbed, and she was left standing there unscathed with her fluttering pigtails. She emerged in Juuzou's direction, as if walking into a portal of visibility, and revealed that her expression had not altered one bit. "Sorry for the noise."

Myrnin had been about to ask either Rowlin or Hange something as he got in the car and started looking at the pedals but this was cut short when half the room decided to explode. While it was more noise than destruction (only things near galoshes girl had actually went BOOM) this was still something which Myrnin wasn't used to. One second everything was quiet - or only as noisy as the other blinkers made it - and the next there was too much noise, too much light, and small bits of things were either flying through the air or crashing into each other. Myrnin flinched, gave a swift, high pitched scream, and dived into Hange's lap. Yes ... he was small enough for this, since he was only about five or maybe a stretch to seven. Either way, reservations toward either Rowlin or Hange evaporated in the face of this less destructive and more loud explosion. Hange and Rowlin were suddenly 'safe'. In fact, they were probably the only islands of safe that Myrnin found himself having now the rest of the room had become so uncertain. He found himself crying a little. Which was bad. You weren't supposed to cry. Crying got him yelled at by his mother or kicked by the other boys in the village. Crying meant he was a child and he couldn't act like a child. But the feeling of panic and like he was on an unsteady boat rose up and tossed his insides around until he wasn't sure which way was up. He gripped Hange's coat, not willing to let go or be pried away. What if something else exploded? What if something happened? He didn't think he was going to be okay ...

Hange’s instincts and training leapt into action before they had time to consciously realize what had happened. They grabbed Myrnin(not difficult, since the boy had just jumped onto their lap) and flung themself from the car, landing hard on their back and pressing the small boy to their chest and as they stayed as low as they could behind their makeshift cover. Stay still. Stay still. Stay still. After a few moments had passed, and a second explosion failed to follow the first, they slowly straightened up, letting poor Myrnin out of their vice-like grip and peering carefully over the side of the bumper car they’d taken shelter behind. Myrnin didn’t let go, so they ended up sort of pulling him with them. Well...that was unexpected. It seemed that odd title girl had just blown up half the room. They heard a sniffle, and looked down, startled to see the small boy trying to hold back tears. It seemed he’d been frightened by all the chaos - uncharacteristic, for the vampire who was always ready to cause his own brands of chaos. But this was just a young, inexperienced version - one who hadn’t learned to conquer those fears yet. Sitting back down against the side of the bumper car, they gently steered his chin a little to the left so he was looking at them instead of the destroyed room, then gave him a reassuring smile. “There, there, don’t be frightened,” they said, hoping they were doing this right. They really hadn’t the slightest idea how to interact with children. “Look - the explosion’s over. No one is hurt, everything’s alright.”

(It's a go time.) "Hey, at least you didn't break anything yet." Joey smirked witnessing the act that would be later called second hand embarrassment. He himself found little to no difficulty in climbing the wall it hadn't come to mind to the other blinker's skills were overlooked. Just as his mind lingered on the subject the teen found himself about to smack into one of the rides. Swiftly did he shift his body leaning a rusted, smiling duck placing his arm as if he had meant to do that. "Spooky?" His confidence saved him when requested to find a generator of sorts giving Matt an affirmative nod. "Please, this is going to be light work." A playful grin snuck into the corner's of his casual smirk. Generators, generators...those hunks of metal stuck out like a sore thumb, not like the place was brimming with power sources either. The hooded figure got onto his feet in no time shooting his companion a thumbs up before leaving him in the foggy grounds. GO TIME) Oh, so he was a braggy type, was he? Matt shook his head, smirking, as Joey slowly disappeared into the fog to search for a generator. Moments later, the wind picked up a little, and a particularly strong gust caused the ride Matt was next to to shiver and creak, old construction struggling against the weather. The creepy sound was also a great reminder that he was now totally alone. “You’re not scared,” he muttered to himself, shifting his posture so he stood a little straighter as he continued to fiddle with the controls. “Nah. Definitely no reason to be nervous in a situation like this...I mean, I’ve been in way worse, right? Not gonna get creeped out by some old beat-up...” He paused, squinting hard, as he thought he heard some sound in the distance. “Okay...so that was probably the wind too,” he said, mostly to convince himself. “Yep. Definitely the wind, and not anything else that could be coming to get us...” He wasn’t scared! He just wished Joey would hurry up and come back. But for unrelated reasons. Not cause he was scared.

Juuzou obediently allowed himself to be adjusted, trusting that since she was the one apparently demolishing a wall, she was the one who knew how close a human body should be while she did it. And it was a good thing he had. The explosion seemed to turn the whole room upside down, the force of it knocking the investigator off of his feet and into a nearby car. He hit it at an angle and flipped over it, landing hard on his back with it between him and the explosion. The impact knocked the breath from his lungs and for a moment he couldn’t move as he struggled to breath, his eyes stretched as wide as they could go as he stared straight up at the ceiling. Then he coughed and sat up, ignoring the complaint his ribs were making about the movement. He had just got to his feet and started towards the wreckage as the girl emerged, deadpan and completely unharmed. He could feel the laugh building in his chest before he let it out, loud and overflowing with glee at the destruction. He ran towards the wall and stopped at the edge of the smoke, feeling the heat dry his skin even from here. Had it worked? He was dying to find out, and as he looked over his shoulder to see where the girl had gone, his wild, childish grin gave him a slightly deranged look. “What are you?” He demanded, though not angrily. More awed than anything, the same way he’d been when he met Salsa.

He wasn't a soldier. He was, however, living in a country always at war. This wasn't a strange assumption. "Yes," he murmured. "So would I." He looked back at Kelsier. He didn't think investigating the sound was a good idea, but he asked anyway. "Do you think we should check it out? Or should we avoid it?" He slowly brushed off his shirt (or the fancy equivalent) and looked around. His hearing had come back with only a faint ringing now. "There might be something more important around here ..."

The girl in the yellow galoshes surveyed the room with a plain look. It seemed like everyone was all right, even if the child from earlier was crying. Even with how emotionless her demeanor was, checking on everyone’s safety seemed to be the normal course of action after such an explosion. Her head turned to follow Juuzou who darted toward the wall for a look, and her body trailed lazily after. “An apparition,” she answered. “An artificial one. Something like a summer research project by a group of bored college students.” She said the words as if she were reading them from a slip of paper labeled ‘if anyone asks what you are...’ “Ononoki Yotsugi,” she introduced, “...I said with a posed look.” When the dust finally cleared enough that they could both see the wall, she started to raise her hand again just like before. “If you want, I can try again...”

(YEET)
If his calm swagger hadn't been moved yet than surely nothing could, this weird place had nothing on the Ormond Resort. While the old, torn down resort had lost some of its charm that his parents brought up from time to time it would be like a second home to him. All the while what was he doing out here in the thick fog? Oh, right, generators. Stupid House. Fuzzy guy. His time had been spent finding the power source it made his scoff at the difficulty of the find. After nudging his foot against a structure the fog had been moving against he prodded the metal structure once again. There was no point in getting Matt's attention at this rate he moved on making contact with the generator. The seemingly physical device felt alarmingly colder than it should be yet Joey pushed on sliding his fingers across the hardened knobs and sliders, his attention disrupted at a white spot slinking in the corner of his eye. "Give me a break." He whispered under his breath, now twisting both hands around the various attachments inducing a deep rumble coming from inside a machine. Satisfaction flickered across his features. Pleased with his handy work he stood up as he felt a force of strong wind brush against his arm accompanied by sparks flying from the generator - dropping dead as if on cue.

Matt, meanwhile, was getting bored. Sure, he was still trying super hard to convince himself that he wasn’t even slightly freaked out, and that was hard to do when the noises were getting harder and harder to explain away as the wind or the creaking of machines, but all that had been going on for a good ten, maybe twelve minutes now. And Joey still hadn’t come back...had he found a generator? Or something else? He leaned against the wall he’d fallen over, sighing and pulling a cigarette from his pocket. He couldn’t light it, of course, but he could still chew on it, which was...better that nothing. Come to think of it, he probably shouldn’t have let the newbie go off by himself...damn, he really was a failure of a tour guide. “Hey, Joey?” he called, listening to his voice echo around in the gloom. “You around?” What answered, instead of his companion, was a distant noise...one he swore he recognized from somewhere. Wasn’t that... Nah. That would be a stretch, even for the House.
