Vincent | Loop Room | @/mint Vincent smiled to himself at Arthur’s cold response; not actually providing a limerick for the poor, confused bloke. He took a few silent steps closer to the kitchen counter as he continued to ignore the alchemist, running his palm over the clean surface and craning his neck slightly to check and ensure everything beyond it was, at least, somewhat familiar. There were a few branded bottles and supplies sitting out that read as they were meant to, and things seemed orderly at first glance. He didn’t find peace in the uniformity, however, and shifted so his back was to the counter as he looked over the entirety of the room. The television was off - sitting useless as a thin glass plane with a darkened tint - and his scarce belongings sat undisturbed. He said nothing for a moment, studying Arthur, and his reaction to the prompt to keeping moving forward. His expression was dark, but his eyebrow arched at the other blinker’s critical tone. He didn’t enjoy being complacent with the House’s expectations either, but he hadn’t anticipated for Arthur to be his company for a bit of experimentation. Fortunately, he could adapt. “Alright,” he said while heaving himself up to sit on the counter top, “if you’re not having fun, what do you suppose we do?”

“Yessssssssss,” said Myrnin excitedly. He’d paid attention in rapt detail to Kelsier’s explanation about the use of his metals and how much he could Push an item. It made him just that more interested in … well … everything. He stepped forward to help with the mixture though, taking a spare spoon up and scrapping it along the inside of the bowl. Once he’d done that, he took up one of the roof pieces. He thought it was probably the part that joined with the other. He pointed to it with the spoon. “Want to do that side?” he asked. He wasn’t completely sure which side to cover in frosting, but he was willing to bet it had to do with the tile pattern on the piece. He was willing, in this case at least, to apply the frosting how it was supposed to be (according to some arbitrary rule of ‘supposed to be’). In any case, if he’d applied it to the reverse side, it wouldn’t look as cool if some of the house was the correct way round when they put it together.

Hange | Museum room | strider ®Hawkpath® |Hange wasn't surprised to see that the two strangers were already growing attached to, or, at the least, empathetic towards, the House's approximation of a human. It was quite natural. They themself felt no small amount of empathy for them - if they were to be cruel to Quincy, they knew they would feel it in their own chest. If they were to physically harm them, they knew the pain would reverb through their own body. But feelings and facts - those were separate things entirely. They were fairly certain the House generated people were just puppets, so although emotionally they felt an aversion to harming them, they would not hesitate to do so if it became necessary. Not that they really had thought through that possibility - this room, so far, was fairly docile. "Yes, very good," they agreed, moving to step alongside the others as they followed Quincy to the next section of the museum. So many interesting things...a shame they didn't have the time to properly examine them all.

Watari | weighing options | ®Hawkpath® strider |This situation was extremely hazardous, that much was made abundantly clear by not only the corpses, plural, on the floor, but the state of the building they were in. It was old - not maintained. It looked like it had been abandoned for years - how many, it was difficult to know, but suffice to say that he was very surprised they had made it to a floor without the elevator breaking down. They certainly couldn't risk getting back in it, even if they were able to get it running. "The front doors are a floor down from us, and the stairs appear to be blocked by quite a bit of debris from the floor above," he noted out loud, his own voice low and quiet in a way that carried well, but only for a few feet before it began to taper out. "It would be unwise to attempt to clear them, and even more foolish to risk using the elevator. However, since we are on only the second floor, it may be safe to attempt to simply jump down from this height." He paused, assessing his options. "Please do not go too near the debris, but if anyone sees a heavy, solid object that could be used to break a window, would you please point it out to me?"

Joon-I | Living room | @ anyone |
"C'mon, stop complaining."
Joon-I reached out to smack her sister in the head, reaching for the creamed corn she was pushing away across the table. "We don't have - "
Then, she froze, as the table underneath her hand was replaced with the smoother, polished surface of a different table.
"What the hell..." she hissed under her breath, pulling back and reaching for -
It was gone. Her hand slipped to her knife instead, which, at least, was still there. Clutching it between her fingers, she slowly began to stand up, knees bent as she tried to keep a low profile until she had an idea of what was going on.
Be. Quiet.

Min-Jeong | living room | Joon-I, Omera, Jung Seok A tired woman followed soon after Joon-I with a sigh. "Both of you need to..." She stopped in the silence, her eyes immediately searching out her children in the sudden room change. Joon-I was within reach, but right before going for her daughter something flashed in the corner of her eye and Min-Jeong instinctively dropped beside the nearest object that happened to be a couch.
Her feeling for her trusted weapon came back empty and she clenched her jaw. That wasn't good. She didn't know if Joon-I had seen her, and Min-Jeong carefully leaned her head out to take in the scene as her eyes widened slightly. A man was on the other side of the room, and a woman - did she see that right? - had appeared in front of her. Min-Jeong was without any proper weapons, but that wouldn't stop her if she needed to protect her daughter, so she stood before the woman could react and gestured out for Joon-I.
"Who are you?" She asked, her voice commanding, if not a little shaken, as her gaze darted between the two strangers.

| Jung Seok | Living Room | Joon-I, Omera, and Min-Jeong | Jung Seok took in the room- clean(ish), lit, mostly empty. A girl with a knife was crouched by the table, and a woman was standing. It didn't make sense. He had just been in the raft. Mere moments ago. He'd heard of folks losing sense of time in stressful situations, but surely that wasn't him. If he was going to get himself and Chul-min out alive, he had to keep his head. "I could ask you the same thing!" Jung Seok shot back. She hadn't been there a moment before. Unless... she'd been behind the couch? As the room seemed to contain a trio of humans... it was unlikely that danger was too close. But he wasn't going to let down his guard. "Where is this place?" He reached towards his waistband, gently resting a finger on the satellite phone. He didn't want the others to see it, but he was reassured by the fact that it was there, unaware that it didn't work in such a place as this.

Omera | Living room | Min-Jeong, Joon-I, Jung Seok
Omera didn't flinch quite as badly when another woman appeared. It seemed people just appeared in this place, which she took in stride for the moment. The question, however, was what was this place?
The woman, who Omera immediately realized to be the girl's mother (or at least guardian), addressed her directly. Omera stood up from the couch slowly, hands where Min-Jeong could see them. "My name is Omera. I am no threat to you," she said quietly. Her gaze flickered to the man, who responded aggressively. She took a slow step back, not trusting that this interaction wouldn't break into a fight. All of these people looked battle worn- the mother and daughter more than the man- but she didn't doubt that he could handle himself from the way that he spoke.

Joon-I | Living room | Min-Jeong, Jung Seok, and Omera |
Joon-I's eyes darted around the room as two, then three people appeared - appeared??? - and her grip tightened around her knife, her knuckles whitening as she held it firmly, ready to fight if it became necessary. Her eyes moved quickly from one, to another, to....
Mama.
Relief washed over her as her gaze landed on a familiar face, standing up from behind the couch. She moved quickly, watching the other two to make sure they wouldn't make a move while she was distracted, and lined up next to her mother, looking cautiously between the other two now that she had a moment to breathe. There was one man - he was yelling at Mama, he seemed scared - and a woman, who seemed less ready to fight. Maybe she would be on their side. That would be good.
"Mama, my weapon's gone," she said under her breath, figuring this might be relevant in case this ended up in a fight. It wouldn't be good if Mama was relying on her for cover fire and ended up out in the open with no protection. "I only have my knife."

Min-Jeong | living room | Joon-I, Omera, Jung-Seok Min-Jeong's hand brushed against Joon-I's back when she reached her, feeling just the smallest bit at ease to have her daughter by her side. She tensed back up when the man yelled, and she narrowed her eyes in his direction.
This woman - Omera - was at least smart enough to make herself less threatening, though she seemed too calm. Did she have the answers for where they were? "I'm Min-Jeong," she replied back. "Where are we?"
Her head tilted down when Joon-I whispered to her, and her hand found purchase around the girl's shoulder. "Mine is too," she muttered back. But good girl, she thought when Joon-I revealed she at least had a knife. Min-Jeong tried to imagine where hers had been - probably left on the counter after settling to eat.
And then her eyes focused on the man as his hand moved in an all too familiar way towards his side. "Stop there!" she shouted at him, her own hand tightening on Joon-I, poised and ready to pull her to safety should it come to that. Min-Jeong had no leverage to order him, but she hoped her voice was enough to take control of the situation. "Keep your hands up."

| Jung-Seok | Living Room | Min-Jeong, Joon-I, Omera | The woman- Min-Jeong- and the girl appeared to be mother and daughter, while neither of them seemed to know the other woman- Omera. She didn't know where they were either. With all of them in what looked like the same situation, the best thing to do would be to avoid startling each other- to avoid getting into a fight. Wherever they were, their best bet was to stick together. For now. Jung-Seok raised his hands, satisfied with knowing the satellite phone was still there. He made eye contact with Min-Jeong and splayed his fingers out in a placating gesture. He slowly lowered one hand and placed it on the ground, meaning to push himself to a standing position, but he kept a careful eye on Min-Jeong to see her reaction.

Omera | Living room | Min-Jeong, Joon-I, Jung-Seok
Omera took a sharp breath, closing her eyes in a quick, silent prayer as Min-Jeong shouted, seizing control of the room. She kept her hands up, palms out as her mind raced. It didn't seem like any of them knew where they were. Opening her eyes slowly, Omera kept her gaze on Min-Jeong but studied the room through her peripheral vision. It seemed to be someone's house. It was much more spacious and well furnished than her hut on Sorgan.
How was she going to get back to Sorgan? The thought came to her unbidden. She had to get back. She had no doubt that the village would take care of Winta should she vanish, but her heart twisted at the thought of leaving her daughter alone. If they had just appeared here, was it possible they could simply... appear back home?

That was her scary voice, and, as it worked on Jung-Seok, a tiny, triumphant smile flickered across her face. Ha. Fell for it.The smile disappeared as he moved to get up, and she left her mother's side, striding decisively across the room and grabbing his shoulder, aiming to shove him down again. "Uh-uh," she said firmly, knife still ready in one hand. "Mama. Help me check him?"

Min-Jeong | living room | Joon-I, Omera, Jung-Seok Min-Jeong's fingers flexed at the empty air when Joon-I moved away. She kept watch of the man as he surrendered his movements, satisfied for the moment. Her gaze flickered momentarily back to Omera. The woman hadn't answered the question, and seeing her expression now told Min-Jeong that it seemed like she didn't know either. Which wasn't good, since it meant being trapped in an unknown place with two strangers who could be unpredictable.
Joon-I's voice brought her back out of her thoughts as her daughter took charge of the man. She regarded Omera with one last once-over before joining Joon-I - it was most likely that Omera didn't live in Korea, even if her use of the language sounded good, so it was just Jung-Seok to worry about immediately.
Min-Jeong stopped in front of him and braced against her legs as she leaned forward to get a better look. He was surprisingly more cleaned up than most they came across, however she knew from experience that meant nothing in the long run. "So? You been bit?" she asked, deciding to give him a chance to explain himself before forcibly searching him for any marks.

| Jung-Seok | Living Room | Omera, Joon-I, Min-Jeong | A peninsula full of zombies and a 12 year old with a knife is my biggest threat right now. Jung-Seok thought to himself as Joon-I marched over. He didn't complete his motion to stand, keeping the one hand on the ground for stability and the other raised to placate the kid. He moved to shrug her hand off his shoulder. He knew why they were cautious. But he didn't appreciate being bossed around. "No!" He protested immediately, his voice hard. He'd seen how anyone with even the chance of infection was turned on or left behind. He'd done it himself. He raised his arms, turning them over to show his jacket- free of marks, rips, or blood. He angled his head, brushing back some of his hair to show an unbloodied neck. "I'm clear." "My name's Jung-Seok. I haven't been back here since- since the outbreak." He told the group.

Joon-I | Living room | Min-Jeong, Jung-Seok, Omera |
"Annoying..." mumbled Joon-I under her breath. That explained a lot. This guy was from one of those nicer places across the ocean that Grandpa was always talking about.
"Welcome back. Enjoy your stay," she said, her tone lilted in a sarcastic customer service voice as she did a lazy mock curtsy. Then, she snapped immediately into ignoring him, confident that her mom had him under control. She walked across the room to the calmer woman - Omera - next, looking her over and trying to get a hint of what she was thinking. "So. Are you from across the ocean, too?"

Min-Jeong | living room | Joon-I, Omera, Jung-Seok With the most obvious places clean she knew it'd be just about impossible to hide any other bites, and so she had to admit he was fine. For now. Though Min-Jeong did almost wonder about giving Jung-Seok a hard time, however it really wasn't the place to be doing so. Perhaps if this had been in the familiar streets of the city and not in the unfamiliar confines of some rundown house.
She relented and backed up, giving him space to finally stand if he so wished. She'd already announced her name with Omera, but she gave the courtesy back to Jung-Seok. "Min-Jeong." She watched out of the corner of her eye as Joon-I became disgruntled and marched over to Omera. "My daughter's name is Joon-I." Now that she stood somewhere in the middle to bridge the gap of the group she felt confident enough to keep her daughter within her sights as she finally let the tension she'd caused ease up.
Min-Jeong very much understood that 'here' for Jung-Seok meant Korea and not the literal 'here' that they were all in. "Well you won't find it any better than when you left," she warned. Though curious for the reasoning on returning, she moved on as it definitely wasn't the priority. "So then none of us have any idea how we got here--" she crossed her arms in her observation, still guarded, and sighed-- "or even where here is."

| Jung-Seok | Living Room | Omera, Joon-I, and Min-Jeong | He narrowed his eyes at the girl's mocking as she turned away. He'd had to come back. Or at least he'd felt that he had to. She was young. She didn't know how the outside world worked, he thought defensively. Because she's been stuck in a living hell for the past four years, most likely. His conscience murmured. Everyone who hadn't gotten out had been facing for years what he'd faced for days. As she stepped back he pushed himself to his feet quickly. Jung-Seok nodded once as Min-Jeong introduced herself and her daughter. He glanced over at Omera, curious as to how she would answer Joon-I's question. She seemed just as confused as they were, if not more so. Jung-Seok was hesitant to reveal the exact details of why he had returned. After all, he knew that the boat would cast off with the truck, no matter who was inside it. But if his story was vague, it looked like he had a way out. Which meant that the others would be likely to help him. "After four years... how many are even left?" As the tension between the new group eased, Jung-Seok could take in the details of the place they now found themselves in. A few gaslights, a couch, a table and chairs. A bookshelf- which would probably be the quickest way to figure out where they were. He stepped towards it and picked one up at random, not seeing any titles. "Eh?" He murmured as he paged through it. It was completely blank. He picked up the next one and flipped through the pages. All crisp white, untouched.

Joon-I | Living room | Min-Jeong, Jung-Seok, Omera |
Joon-I narrowed her eyes at the unfamiliar use of the word "system". Did she mean place? Like continent? She hadn't been to China - maybe they spoke differently there. Or maybe she was from the United states, even? Her Korean was pretty good for an American, though.
"I'm from here," she answered slowly, unaware that 'here' was, in fact, no longer where she thought it was. "Korea." She paused, trying to remember the word she'd used for 'place'. "What...system are you from?"

Min-Jeong | living room | Joon-I, Omera, Jung-Seok Min-Jeong just shook her head in answer. There were definitely more survivors than Jung-Seok was probably expecting, but aside from the militia it was a rare occurrence to find another living person - especially any that would welcome someone back.
She kept watch of him as he moved about the space of the room before casting a glance at Joon-I and Omera, to which she nodded in affirmation when Joon-I relayed where they were from. Visible lines formed around her mouth with a frown, and Min-Jeong gripped her folded arms a little tighter. "I think you're right," she agreed with Omera in a murmur. She'd never seen such a place like this anywhere in Korea; the architecture just didn't fit - and it didn't make sense to her how they'd end up here with someone not even from the same country.
Jung-Seok's utterance caught her attention, and she took a few steps closer until she caught sight of the blank pages of the books. She felt her brow creased as she slipped one out herself to leaf through. "Not even any titles?" She turned the thick hardcover over in her hands, running her fingers across its spine and front that stayed smooth.

| Jung-Seok | Living Room | Omera, Joon-I, Min-Jeong | "System?" Jung-Seok repeated the word, not understanding her question. As Joon-I and Omera spoke, however, the conversation drifted back to the question of where exactly were they. Not in Korea, Omera had ventured. "If us three were just there... It can't be too far." Jung-Seok reasoned. Unless... something bigger was going on here. Something that defied logic. They had to find a way back, and soon. He had to get back to his team. He didn't know if they could handle the mission on their own. And if they could, he'd be the one left behind. "Nothing." He answered Min-Jeong as she paged through a book as well. He kept a wary eye on her movements. While the tension had defused somewhat, it still hummed under the surface. "I could understand if they were empty notebooks or printer paper, but bound books?" He'd never heard of anything quite like that, except for maybe some avante garde art piece.

Joon-I | Living room | we know who by now |
"I don't know where that is," said Joon-I, beginning to get frustrated by the consistent miscommunication. "Is the Outer Rim in China? America? Japan?"
She scoffed at the second bit of her statement, hardly believing what she was hearing. "Right, and we traveled across the ocean in five seconds. Of course this is Kor - "
She stopped dead as her mother spoke up, agreeing with the other woman, and, although it was hard to notice as she kept her composure well, she went a bit pale. She also stopped talking, looking warily between Min-Jeong and Omera, Jung-Seok forgotten for the moment.

Min-Jeong | living room | apocalypse gang + 1 v confused lady The momentary distraction the books offered was soon gone as Omera revealed what she meant, and after taking a second to process that information, Min-Jeong spun back to face her and Joon-I's way. "Eh, wait, are you saying you're from outer space?" Even as she forced the incredulous words it still made it hard to take as fact. Really? Somewhere not Earth?
But all that was interrupted when Min-Jeong had her heart lurch once she brought her eyes back to her daughter, able to easily see past Joon-I's composed exterior. "The three of us were also in one moment going through our day like always, and in the next we've ended up here without any memory of being taken or leaving," she shot back at Jung-Seok. She had hated to admit the agreement out loud, but to her it was becoming more apparent that something really wasn't right here, especially now added with Omera's supposed origin.
She came to Joon-I's side to place her arm around her daughter's shoulders again, and made eye contact with Omera. Despite the disbelief of the situation, she still immediately felt the honesty behind her words. "I understand. I have another daughter too," she said, somewhat confused if she should yet feel relieved that Yu-Jin hadn't been forced into this, or anxious to know if the youngest was safe at home. So she very well understood Omera in that regard.
And Min-Jeong, of course, had noticed the door on the far side of the room before, but over the last four years it'd been quickly learned that you didn't barge out of just any door you saw. There had to be planning, protocols, to ensure everyone's safety. Still she nodded her head in its direction. "We should check that it's safe first" she announced for everyone. "And hopefully whatever's on the other side gives us more information than this room."

| Jung-Seok | Living Room | Joon-I, Omera, Min-Jeong | Alright, he'd officially lost it. Jung-Seok squinted at Omera. She looked... just like a regular human being. Not an alien. And yet she said the planetary system as casually as one would reference the subway system. "That's how it was for me too- one moment there, then the next, here. But..." Jung-Seok shook his head as Min-Jeong, not sure if he was actually disagreeing with her or just rejecting the idea of what this place was. He turned and placed the books back in their correct spot on the shelf as he sensed the moment between them that he was not a part of. They shared something by virtue of each having a daughter, someone to look out for. Something Jung-Seok truly hadn't had since he'd left his sister and nephew in that ship belly. Leaving through the door seemed like the next obvious step. But as Min-Jeong said, it would have to be done carefully. His weapon gone, he was practical unarmed. Jung-Seok pulled a multitool pocketknife from his pocket, but how much help that would be he wasn't sure. "Our best bet is to open just enough to see out, then force it closed if there's any out there who go for us." He said aloud, but he glanced towards Min-Jeong to see what she thought. After all, she'd been dealing with this much longer than he had.
