Oooo! Are you planning on planting some things? My father gardens. Yes I plant flowers and perennials. I have tulips and daffodils, hostas, Iris, hyacinths, and plan to plant Zinnias, and Vinca and Portulacas. My husband plants a veggie garden and raised some basil, tomato and pepper plants to be transplanted once the weather allows up so plant an outdoor veggie garden. We still have a month to go. Rule of thumb here is to never plant before memorial day and it still holds true even after 30 years of living here. If we dare try and plant veggie gardens before memorial day, we risk them getting nipped or killed by frost. What really bothers me is so many of the gardening sites, catalogs and such have moved us to Zone 6, and its a big mistake. Even after 30 years, if I plant something that cannot grow past Zone 6, it will die over winter. No exception, because we were, are, and apparently will always be Zone 5!

W-wow. That's almost taller than our house plant. o.o LOL and we have an Orange tree a friend sent as a tiny seedling that is about 2 and a half feet tall but has to stay ind side until its warm enough to stay on the deck in summer. But hubby's veggie plants have taken over the kitchen and we still need to wait 3 weeks for frost danger to be past!

We go to the apple orchards and then make apple things with what we get. Apple sauce, Amish-apple-pudding, apple crisp, and a lot of other stuff. It's very yummy.

They are all good. Darwin went for his annual check up and shots and is doing fine. 19.2 pounds now at 4 years old. He may ad a pound or two more before full maturity at years old.

I think he's fine. We just got back from vacation, so I haven't seen him today. That is good. My neighbor's cat that I look after while he's away working has fatty liver. Poor guy stopped eating a few days ago (of course over the weekend) and I took him to my vet this morning. There is a chance we may lose him.

That's great! I hope it stayed that way and he continues to get healthier! Vet had him stay as he's having appetite troubles White blood cell count is very high indicating some infection so they have him on abx and fluids. He may be there for a couple more days.

My fingers are crossed and sending well wishes! Thanks, but sadly as I feared the high white cell count indicated cancer which the doc was able to feel on his last exam. His jaundice was worse. So on Saturday June 2nd, Zephyr joined Star Clan.

Yes a good day! LOL Got excused from jury duty early today and had a chance to untangle some threads in my next book, and even had time to read and catch up on a few fics, thanks to the rain that keeps me out of the garden and yard.
Transplanted a 3 ft tall Tuliptree yesterday and we hope it lives, but it could not stay where it was. My 38 yo Tuliptree I raised from a tiny two-leaf seedling (sprouted in 1981) I transplanted by the driveway in 1986 has been tossing seedlings now for years!
Last time I had Jury Duty I was working on NEW BLOOD. Sometimes I really miss dabbling in that world! Have a new tale started, but it is sitting on the back burner while I untangle and restring the threads in my EYES IN THE DARK scifi work.
I'm still around and kicking!
Hope you've been well!

That tuliptree is older than me. o.o It's older than most of the people I know.
How's the scifi series going? All the plot points getting worked out?
I'm currently working on three projects to some extent. A fantasy-romance, a third book in an urban fantasy series, and then the third book for Sky of Shattered Stars. While also plotting a mythology twist on my own time - working on plotting a co-story with Sapphire - and then working on a semi-original work with a fantasy choose-your-own-adventure.

You sound like me when I was young! All sorts of projects going. Good thing about sitting at Jury Duty is I did work out the kinks in a couple of threads of chapters I am writing out. Its the third book in a trilogy. The Tuliptree is named Sunrise. If I can get pix in here I'll do it. So far I can't unless I upload to Imgur or the like.
