Finn’s heart leapt at the look of the loot and he took it with what he hoped was a grateful nod. “Of course, my lord, I would be most pleased to serve you.” He wasn’t above laying it on a little thick and Ravage seemed to him the type of person that would appreciate the attention. Being King Saber’s right-hand rat had to be tiring considering that the King didn’t seem like the sort to care about his friends….or share limelight. “I’ll do my best not disappoint you.” *No,* he thought instead cheerfully, *just rob you blind.* (Finn is the best though XD ) Ravage smiled. This new recruit was calling him 'my lord' already. He liked him. Hopefully he wouldn't try to betray him like his last lackey. Although, he did have fun punishing the fool. And if the new recruit caused any problems, he knew where the nearest cliff was. Despite thinking of this, Ravage asked, "What do you fight with, boy? I'd like to know your fighting style so that I may compensate for your weaknesses in battle. And perhaps get your weaponry sharpened while we're in town."

(Haha poor winter! That sounds super miserable, especially the hot road trip part xD I'm hoping that your hotel or wherever you stayed at least had a/c!
I love writing the story together, I hope you guys are having as much fun as I am with it! ;D )
Jag wasn't sure if Vince would follow him or not. He knew he was making a rash decision, but it was in his lineage to attack first and ask questions later. After all, it worked well for his father. He hoped Vix wouldn't be too angry with him. Jag arrived at the edge of the forest; he could see the town's buildings through the trees. He transformed back into his anthro form, which was his preferred form, and pulled his lion mask onto his face. First he would visit the guard barracks, then Ravage. It was dark outside now, and Ravage would be suspicious if he didn't show up soon.

(I camped in a relative's yard and where that was was on the coast so it was nice a cool there, freezing in the mornings but I'd rather be cold and be able to warm myself than be hot and not able to do anything about it XD. And me too.)
Vince caught up with Jag as soon as he stopped at the treeline, and stood beside him. "I'm gonna sneak through town and get to me shop, so that I can grab what belongings I left behind. Where might I meet ya fer later lad?", he said and asked. (Oh man, I can't stand the cold! Not even a little bit XD It's been pouring rain here for days, glad you didn't get any of that!) Jag jumped when Vince appeared beside him. "Vix, you scared me!" After he composed himself he added, "I hope you're not mad at me- I know this is rash, but my mind's set. And I'm going to the guard barracks. Let's meet in the middle, at the tavern?"

(Oh sweet, and yeah, a suggestion would be nice lol) (Hmm.. well currently all my characters are busy, but Jag and Vince are going to probably be at the tavern soon. Or you could stick him wherever you like! Maybe he was just entering town from the forest?)

Jag was glad to have Vix by his side- he was noble, just the kind of man Jag hoped to be. After Vix strode away, Jag strolled into town, trying to look inconspicuous. He'd prefer to not run into Ravage just yet, if he could help it. The guard barracks were luckily right at the edge of the forest, so he didn't have far to go. He slipped through the doorway. None of the guards were sleeping. A few of them were gambling, while others told stories. A pair of soldiers in the corner were discussing their armor and how dented and rusted they were becoming. Jag didn't waste any time. He pulled his mask off his face. "Brothers," he said, loud enough to catch everyone's attention. "I would like to call a meeting. There is something very important we must discuss." Some of the soldiers groaned out of annoyance, but most of them turned to listen to Jag, which was more interesting than what they were currently doing.

(aaaand time skip! Because it's boring rp'ing by meself and a dozen npcs ;'] )
Jag left the guard barracks. He placed his mask back on his face. He walked hastily to the tavern, eager to meet up with his friend. Upon entering the tavern, he did't see Vix anywhere nearby, so he grabbed a seat at a table in the corner of the room. While he was waiting, he ordered several plates of meat. He didn't care what kind, so long as there was a lot of it. He was starving after the long day of dragging Vix through the dirt, visiting a secret base to armor up, and talking to his fellow guardsmen.

(Well I would of RPed with ya more but I was so drained from the trip that as soon as my head hit my pillow in my own bed again I was out XD.)
Shortly after Jag had arrived in the tavern, another figure arrived covered in a long hooded cloak that was just an inch or two shorter than his own height, and the hood was pulled over his head. Strapped to his back was a bow and a quiver of arrows, along with a sword and dagger on his waist. He looked around until he seemingly spotted Jag and hurried over to him, sitting at the other side of the table. He looked up and lifted the hood a bit to reveal multicolored eyes and the face of a fox. It was Vincent.
"Did I keep ya waitin' too long laddie?", Vince asked. (No problem! I know that feel man, haha! Btw your writing is phenomenal, daaang!) Jag looked up, halfway through a bite of some unidentified meat. As soon as he saw Vince, he realized how loud and noticeable he must have been. "Not long at all," he answered quietly, in attempt to make amends for his poor attempt at stealth. "Got lots of meat if you want some." He motioned to the giant pile of food which placed on the table next to them. "I talked to the guards. I did my best. But they really were never too close to me from the start. I was still able to get a few on our side though! Thankfully for us, the others are too scared of Ravage to go anywhere near him, so I doubt they'll rat us out." (Rat puns X] )

(Phones make typing so hard help) Sterling looked over at the two newcomers, pulling his hat down so as to hide his features. After all, as a human he was wanted. He silently fixed the two with an appraising stare, resting a hand on his sword in case any trouble were to arise. (Lol the phone struggle is seriously real! ;P )

(I honestly don't have much trouble with posting on a phone, just a more likely chance for typos XD.)
(Also thank you, I like writing when I have the freedom to write what I want and even write fanfiction. I currentry have one going for its 18th chapter and each chapter is at least 2,000+ words.)
"Ay, didn't I tell ya laddie? There isn't anything worth being a guard fer Saber other than the pay, and some I think might even have the job just so they're a little more protected from Saber's wrath than others. But they don't care 'bout chya laddie, none of em ever did or will, they're about as dark-hearted 'n twisted in the head as the king 'imself", Vince told him, partly keeping his voice low so no nearby eavesdroppers would hear him, or those that knew his voice would know it's him and turn him in to Ravage or Saber. He looked at the food Jag had and had to admit to himself he was hungry, which the meat did look inviting. "Well, I suppose we can't fight on an empty stomach, ey lad?", he said with a shrug and helped himself to some of it. It'd been a while since he had a meal like this, his earnings from the shop were split three ways, which was keeping up the shop and his inventory, helping the village folk that needed it, and himself. He didn't mind if all he got for a meal was bread and oil with a drink of water or wine on rare occasions, as long as he knew his job was done and those he helped wouldn't be going hungry one more day. Then he remembered the little girl that called him Vixer, and he wondered how she and her family, as well as the others he tried helping daily, would get along without him if he couldn't stay in the village any longer. And a single thought occurred to him.
"Ya do realize laddie, that after we take out Sir Tailwhip that you'd be as wanted as I am if not more, and the village would no longer be yer home", he whispered to Jag, using a nickname for Ravage in case someone caught what he was whispering.

Ir squwaked after the pair, flitting through the trees and into the town below. After a short visit with the guards, which went along the lines of 'no sir, nothing to report', she quickly starting circling above, waiting for any sign of trouble, blinking as the air blew over her eyes. She watched as her compatriots entered a tavern, and coasted down onto its sign post, ruffling her feathers. This would be a perfect spot for surveying, in case something foul decided to show its face. What I do best, Ir thought bitterly, and scratched at the wood beneath her talons.

(Ohh I wanna read it!! ) Jag previously had trouble admitting to himself that he had few friends, but recently he had come to terms with it. Vix was a good friend, one of the few he could trust. Jag found it funny that just a few days ago, he had tried to kill him in a rage. "You know, Vix, I kind of figured that might be the outcome of our actions here. I'm just surprised nobody has tried to arrest me yet, after that stunt we pulled earlier! I can't say I'd fancy going to jail though. You ever been arrested, Vix?" he asked, before taking another bite of food.

(Are ya a fan of Naruto and the NaruSaku ship? That's what it's about)
"Nah", Vincent shook his head negatively. "But I've seen the jail cells to know what it's like in there. Trust me laddie, it's enough to make out here look like paradise", he said. "I've not been wanted befer either, I've always managed to stay out of trouble enough to avoid gettin' a bounty placed on me head, but I suppose there is a first fer everythin' ain't there?", he added with a slight chuckle at the end. He thought a little more, before speaking again. "When ya fightin' Sir Tailwhip, be sure ya avoid his tail, that's his main weapon", he told Jag.

(I actually don't follow that series, I don't know anything about it! Sorry xD )
Jag remembered when he was young and his father told him that he once escaped a prison with his bare jaws. Jag sighed, wishing he was anything like his amazing father. "Right, the tail," Jag answered halfheartedly. His mind was still on his father and his amazing strength.

(Ah, then it'd probably be a hard story for you to follow XD.)
While Jag was silent, Vince sensed a pair of eyes burning through him, but it wasn't a bother. He looked straight at the one staring at them with a cold glare, blue eye fully visible, brown eye partly covered by the drape of his cloak's hood. This young man seemed a bit scrawny to Vince despite his height, he knew Jag was a brute fighter and together the two of them would probably outmatch the young man. He gave a snort and looked back at his table partner, ignoring the stranger's gaze. And as if Vince read Jag's mind, he began to speak. "Ya know lad, I had heard the story of how yer father broke from the jail with nothin' but his own strenth. He was a great guard, who unfortunately came to fear Saber and did as he was told, includin' kill others he was ordered to. You could be somethin' better if ya don't let Saber control you, ye've got the potential 'n the heart, ye've just gotta realize right from wrong", he said.

Jag shook his head quickly. "My father was a great man, he only killed those who were hostile against him!" Jag's father was the best of the best, and Jag wanted nothing more than to be exactly like him. He wanted to get stronger and find his father, so that they could be an unstoppable duo- father and son! He assumed his father was out protecting the kingdom somewhere. "I'll follow his example, I'll figure out what's right!" He slammed a fist on the table. "Say Vix, what were you looking at a moment ago? Is someone spying on us?"

(Would Vince know Jag's father killed his?)
"Whoever he was he just left, but he seemed more intimidated by us than like a spy of Ravage's", Vince said. "Speakin' o' which, when we goin' after ole Tailwhip?", he asked. (I don't think so) Jag- "Well I have to report to him any minute now, or he'll suspect me. Either we can jump him then, or we can organize something with the few guards that are on our side."

Ir glared at the dog below her, clicking her beak in protest. Lousy mutt, Ir thought, narrowing her eyes and making a rude gesture with her talons. She tried to peer into the window of the tavern, and spotted her two acquaintances conversing quietly at one of the wooden tables. The grime covering the glass of the window obstructed the view, and she flitted to the windowsill to get a closer look. Nobody seemed to be bothering them, so she returned, relieved, to the signpost, and to glaring at the dog below her.

(Mk then. Just thought I'd ask cuz I was gonna have him say something about it but if he doesn't know then he won't say a thing.)
"The sooner the better lad. And I'd rather not get any others involved with takin' 'im out, in case Saber sends assassins after us. Best it be just the two o' us dead than an entire unit", Vince said. "However", he said as he perked his ears at the sound of the barking outside. "We will leave out the back door of this place, I have a feelin' we'd run into poor luck if we left out the front", he said, then waved a paw in the air to draw the attention of one of the waitresses. "Dawn, we need ya lassie", he said but in a polite manner, to which the one called Dawn walked over.
"What is it Vincent? I thought you left town?", the woman said in almost a whisper as she leaned in.
"Through the hind paw", Vince said, in code. But Dawn understood his code talk and nodded quickly. Vince stood up and gestured to Jag to follow, as she lead them through the tavern and to the back of it where not many others knew about, and unlocked the back door for them. Vince turned to her to speak. "Thanks lassie. Here", he said, giving her a sack of gold like what he usually did to help her out. "Take this 'n make sure ya never saw us here. As far as any of those that cater to Saber are concerned, I'm dead and he's still a guard", he said, nodding his head sideways towards Jag when he mentioned him. Dawn nodded in gratitude as she took the sack from him gently and watched them leave out the door.
"Be safe!", she said to them just before they were too far, and hastily closed and locked the back door, hiding the gold Vince gave her and returning to the front to continue doing her job, acting casual as if nothing happened.
