@battlingfear - Yeah, it's so irritating! I know it, use it all the time, could tell you what it means, everything except the word itself, haha

@battlingfear - Omg, that always sucks. Then you have to come up with a different word, and you don't like it but deal with it

@battlingfear - Fantasy, mostly. I also like sci-fi and horror, but I'm not so good at horror. I like comedy too much XD What about you?

Same. I have been reading AVoS, and it has been alright. Better than what it used to be like DotC was very well written.

@battlingfear - Yeah, it does, lol
Bramblestar's Storm, Ravenpaw's Farewell, Tallstar's Revenge, and the first AVoS (but I stopped until I finish Bramblestar's Storm for obvious reasons)

prophet honestly I enjoy the weirdness of it as well. An adaption of opera with Chicago alley cats with political undertones and a narrative vaguely reminiscent of Don Bluth movies, The Lion King, and Warriors isn't something you hear everyday, which in turn makes people interested. (And it all ties together at the end in a nice way) It's honestly based on my own childhood nostalgia, which is why it's set in the mid 2000's, has components of the things I mentioned earlier, and why I find the motivation to update it every Sunday. Although for a nostalgia-based thing it's a bit dark...

@redheartofriverclan - Yeah, it does indeed turn heads, lol. It doesn't even sound like it would work, like you're making it up, but then you read it and it makes sense somehow, haha. Childhood nostalgia is a huge motivator. I actually have a story floating around from my own childhood that I might be interested in reviving... Look at you, inspiring others XD

honestky I think it works because the magic flute is a pretty basic story so it can be squashed and stretched as much as possible. it can go any which way, so I took it as the bizarre combination of things I described above. So now it has become a feline fantasy with a political message at its core, of all things One nice thing about doing an adaption, though, is that I can kill characters now instead of having to keep them around because the librettos said so lmao I'm glad I've managed to inspire people with my strange opera cat hybrid!

I decided that in Mozart operas the characters are not proportional to the actions they take (usually) and the trauma induced on them, so I made it worse for all of them to make things sound more clear and for the plot to flow better. The Magic Flute in particular doesn't seem to take a lot of its own subject matter seriously that's all I'm sayin

@redheartofriverclan - I've kinda noticed that, not that I've seen a lot of them. Sounds like a good plan. Well, it's kinda comedy anyways.
Oh, I got to go to work now. I'll be back in a few hours

yeah the switches between comedy and drama are...jarring at times, so I blend the line to make things more consistent and somewhat darker. Also it gives a bit more character depth, and of course I'm a sucker for that. It's why the comic relief characters become more serious than they are in the operas- I'm simply trying to blend the lines and make things a bit grittier.

That sounds much cleaner and less all over the place as operas can tend to be XD I like darker themes, too. They make a rounder experience, and personally, I just hate the feel-good, sap fest in almost all stories :3 Making it one cohesive piece is probably challenging, but definitely worth it for the reader (me) and probably you as well

I remember on the old forums the longest thread I had was thirty pages. That was an rp thread, though. I'm surprised it went for that long, it had about four of us and it then dwindled down to me and one other person. Do any of these names ring a bell? Fuzzytail13 Gingerheart343 Stormlynx
