"I believe you're not in the position to be asking questions young lady." Brom chastised her. Uriah cringed, hoping Brom would keep his temper in check. Maybe there was some way he could help out.

"I am under trial aren't I? Am I not allowed to ask questions at my own trial?" She challenged. Of course she should be allowed to! Hopefully that's how it worked here as it did in her country. Now that she thought about it, was Uriah really even behind this? He has put his life on the line for her. Maybe...but she can't just yet. Let's see how this turns out.
(I think Arabella should be sentenced to death and then Uriah starts freaking out, rescuing her at the last minute before she actually dies.)

"No." Brom replied. "In fact you are not. Now I'll give you one more chance to answer before I decide that you're not worth the trouble." Brom said, hinting at his impatience. Uriah looked at Arabella, pleading with her to make up something. Punishments weren't good, they normally meant death.
(I like it XD.)

Great. Just her luck, if she answered his question correctly, could mean death. Most of the surrounding countries viewed her kingdom as a threat. If she answered with a lie, who knows if that was the answer he wanted? She thought long and hard about it. Realizing Brom was growing extremely impatient. He can wait a few minutes, it's my life after all... she thought to herself. Then again, if she was released, it would mean Brom's life if Arabella's kingdom decided to attack after learning she was imprisoned there. Not a bad choice either. She bit her lip and answered the truth, she didn't know how he would respond if she answered with a lie, he might sense she was lying. She took a deep breath and answered, "I'm from Eldin's kingdom." She replied. Hoping that maybe Brom had some connections with this place, and decided to not kill her.

"Eldin's kingdom." Brom let out a laugh and turned his back to her. "Well isn't this just a pleasant turn of events." He looked at her again. "You're a spy then. Eldin kingdom would want nothing more then to know the weakness of my father's kingdom and right when were at the brink of war. Wonderful planning on your Kings part, but I daresay very foolish." He looked at the Discipliner. Uriah felt his stomach sink. Arabella had been lying to him. He glanced away from her, closing his eyes. "Take her away, we will have an execution in the morning. She's too valuable to turn loose." Uriah panicked, his eyes growing wide. Arabella was a liar but she didn't deserve death. "Wait Brom-" "Silence!" The prince growled. "You better get out of my sight before I give you the same fate as her." Uriah could see the prince hurt by Uriah's supposed betrayal. He glanced at Arabella one more time before shaking his head and heading for the throne room door.

(Sorry! I've had a really busy day!)
Arabella felt her heart sink to her feet when she saw heard she was going to be executed in the morning. However, that didn't come close to the feeling of Uriah being disappointed in her. He wasn't behind this. He wanted to speak against it. How could she be so untrusting? Uriah was genuine, and she was the monster. Arabella wanted to help Uriah reach his dreams of leaving this wretched place, to find hope for the future one day. But in the short time they had known each other, she crushed that. The guards that stood by the door took her back to the dungeon once again. This time she didn't move slow or try to fight it. Death should come to her now, she deserved it. Arabella practically sat down where she was and lifted her hand on her own to be locked up. The guards were dumbfounded, no one willingly let the them lock someone up. However, they put it aside and left like usual. For one of the few instances in her life, Arabella felt teary-eyed. She was never a very emotional person, but now, with Uriah's disappointment, that hurt more than the sharpest of blades that could kill anyone. She held herself together for a while, but she couldn't hold in much more. She let a few tears roll down her cheeks before quickly wiping them off. Arabella was torn, she wanted to blame herself for all of this and say she shouldn't have gotten attatched to anyone, but at the same time, she wanted to be with Uriah. Arabella just sat against the wall, almost limp with her shoulders sagging and head against the wall. For the first time in her life, she didn't know what to do.

Uriah walked outside and glared at the sun then at the ground. He ground his teeth and kicked a pebble across the clearing. Was it possible to have your heart broken by betrayal? It had to be. He let out an exaggerated breath, letting his anger simmer slowly. Why would Arabella lie to me? Then again, why wouldn't she? He had so easily wrapped around her finger, he shouldn't have been so trusting from the start. He was a servant and that's how he would be treated. Freedom was imaginary, he would be stuck here for the rest of his life. No one would miss him when he left. His thoughts cleared slowly. Arabella didn't seem like she had done it on purpose, but then again, maybe she had been trained to become an expert liar. She had fooled him. He stared at the dungeon coldly and decided he needed some answers for himself. The servant walked toward the dungeon, his steps fueled by anger and hurt. The guards let him pat easily, no one really cared about a servant going to visit prisoners, what harm could he possibly do? Uriah was practically a dead man anyway. Brom felt betrayed by him and that trust might never return. He walked down the step and met with the guards in front of Arabella's door. They took a long while to convince to let him talk to her, but eventually they gave him permission to go into her cell. Uriah pushed the door open slowly, looking for the girl that had betrayed him.

Arabella heard footsteps coming towards her cell. She straightened up, not even sure why she bothered. Arabella would have stood up, but her head still hurt. She breathed breaths so shallow it was hard to tell she was even breathing. She moved her hair out of her face, even as a prisoner on death row, she didn't want to look like she just came off the street. Even though she did in a way. Arabella looked straight ahead to the other wall in front of her, it was still hard to see, as there was hardly any light in the dungeon. Was it a guard coming to make fun of her? Brom maybe to change her punishment to torture? She didn't know. But she knew that it couldn't be Uriah. He would never want to talk to her again. However, he should understand that what she did was for her country that she takes pride in. If she didn't have a mission and just went to visit the lying would have been non existing.

Uriah emerged from the doorway, easily spotting Arabella since she was alone in her cell. He closed the door behind him, not wanting guards to listen in to their conversation. "Why did you do it?" He asked, looking at her from across the room. He almost couldn't look at her, but he forced himself to, if only to see her reaction.

She felt dumb asking this question, but there was a lot that she had done, "Do what?" She asked. Arabella still sat up straight. Even though it was just Uriah. But that was the reason wasn't it? She didn't want him to see her in a broken down state, that would he humiliating. She kept her back straight and tried to look for him in the dark. She saw him outline, but not much more than that. *why don't they ever put lights in here?* if she was going to be executed, why not make the last few hours of her life enjoyable?

"Why do you lie to me?" Uriah tried to keep the hurt from seeping through his voice, it was harder then he had anticipated. "I trusted you, a lot, actually. Did that mean anything to you?" He asked her, trying to keep his face out of view. His eyes felt like they were beginning to water and he didn't know why.

Arabella wanted to cry but held it back somehow, "If I wasn't sent to do what I had to," she wiped a tear as it just started to roll down her cheek, Uriah didn't need to see her cry, "I wouldn't have lied to you...I-I..." she didn't finish what she wanted to say. Not sure how he would take it. Arabella wished he was free, free to make his own desicions, free to live where he wanted, free from this place. She wished him to be free as he deserved it more than she. If Arabella had to die for Uriah's freedom, she wouldn't hesitate to do so. He was different from the others men in her country. Although they did respect her and didn't try to take advantage of her, she was never interested in them. Nor did she think she would ever be intrested in anyone. But Uriah was special. It wasn't love, she was only 17, but he was different all the same

"Why didn't you just tell me?" Uriah said in a pained voice. "Did you think I would have abandoned you? I don't know if you noticed, but I picked you because you were different not because I cared about your past or hidden secrets." Uriah paced pack and forth. "I actually was ready to be free. I actually had ambition and now....it feels like my souls been ripped in two. I shouldn't have believed I could get out of here." Uriah rambled, letting his frustration come out. The years of a servant had left most of him crippled from emotion and now he was back to square one. "The only thing I had that was even close to a friend is gone now. Brom won't see me the same....and well you..." He stopped. He didn't want her to die, but what choice did he have in that matter?

"I wanted you to be free! You deserved it! I deserve this to happen to me." She felt sorrowful, with a tear or two coming down now, with Arabella quickly wiping each one off, "I lied to you, betrayed you, took advantage of you! Do you think I don't deserve this? To be locked up and sent to my death? I do deserve it Uriah!" She felt angry almost that he didn't understand that she did, "You feeling disappointed in me though, hurts more than any way they could possbily kill me. I just want you to know that before you dismiss me as heartless!" Her voice shook when she said this. What she said was true. She cared about Uriah and still does, but that doesn't mean that because of what she did it doesn't mean she didn't trust him

Uriah let out a long sigh as her words ground into his head, breaking down most of his anger. He let his back slide down against the wall until he was sitting on the floor as well. He ran his hand over his face. "My freedom wouldn't look half as bright if you were gone." He sighed. Uriah close his eyes and swallowed before opening them again. "I'll get you out of here, okay." He said. "I don't want you to die, I know there's good in you because I've seen it. Brom doesn't know what he's doing."

Arabella turned her head to look at another wall, "No, he does know what hes doing. I was sent on this mission to get information about neighboring coutries and mark down towns that would be useful for his takeover. If he killed me he would be protecting his father's country. I can't blame him." She turned to face where Uriah was sitting, "Why free me though? I doubt you would come with me again..." she still felt like crying, even though the most climactic part of it all seemed to have passed. Even if she did die, it wouldn't affect other people anyway. She had her brothers sure but they would get over it soon enough, the king would just send another scout, and Uriah would be better off without her anyhow.

"You're right, I wouldn't." Uriah answered, convincing himself for the time being that's what his answer would be. Uriah looked at her. "You're still a good person Arabella, you just mess up. Maybe a little worse then before, but that doesn't mean you should be dead. We all make mistakes. I make them all the time." Uriah shook his head. "This kingdom holds too much hate and they don't see any good, but I do. I know you're not heartless like Brom thinks. I'll get you out, I promise." Uriah stood up and walked over to her and leaned down. Uriah kissed her cheek quickly and then turned to leave. "Goodnight, Bella."

(Aww...I love this rp!)
Arabella put her hand gently up to the spot where Uriah kissed her. She held her hand there for a few moments, even after he left. Uriah was sweet, and she did want him to come with her, but she cam understand that he decided not to. She would do the same. However, even though she knew she was going to die soon, she smiled. Not a large grin, but a soft smile. Why did she do that to him? Arabella almost wish she ran into someone else instead of him, and broke their heart insted of Uriah's. He was important to her, even if she did make it out of here and never saw him again, she vowed to never forget him. No matter how far away they were physically, he always be with her.

Uriah didn't sleep well that night, in fact he didn't sleep at all. The plans that ran through his mind were considered treason. There wasn't much other way to get Arabella out though. He got up and dressed, hoping to repair what he could with Brom. The closer he was to the prince during the execution the better. He shoved the knife he carried down in his boot and headed toward the palace. He hoped this worked, or he was a dead man.
