I wouldn't match them, and Avis and Lux are definitely my favorite on that list
I'm also fond of Fabian and Dexter
Aelia sounds pretty too

I looked up the few I suggested,
Lyco - wolf Aelia - solar (feminine form of Aelius, which means sun) Livia - olive
Also looked up Cassia, which means spicy cinnamon X3
It would be really cool if we could match their mutations and/or personalities to their name meanings.

Faline is latin and means "like a cat"
and Fauna was the roman goddess of animals

That's cool ^^ I'll try to find some for the girl that relate to cats.
Edit: Faline is pretty! I'm going to glance around and see if I can find anything else to consider, too, since Fabian and Faline might sound a bit odd/matchy together.

So this is what I have for Ariella's appearance (below). I don't think if will be too similar to Korbyn, since you said he will have dark hair.
Long, straight, hair that reaches her mid back. It is light blond in color but still far from platinum. Her eyes are light hazel with equal parts green and brown, and her skin is fair. She stands quite tall at 5'7".
I might add a few distinguishable marks, but other than that I don't think as much detail is needed in books as there is in roleplaying ^^.
Edit:
Full Profile (wip)
Ariella Meadows 17 years old Long, straight, light blond hair that reaches her mid back. Usually left down and unstyled. Hazel eyes that are equal parts brown and green. Fair skin 5'7" She always wears a small gold locket with an acrorn engraved on it. It is a family heirloom that was given to her by her father when she was young. She doesn't smile easily, but it is usually do more to sadness, fear or uncertainty than seriousness. She is a good planner and enjoys researching, also knowing her way around computers and books well. She is very social and intuitive, which she sometimes uses to be manipulative or get someone to reveal something/good at smooth talking. She also hates to be alone and likes to have someone to share her thoughts with. She is not very trusting and is always cautious and stubborn, never fully agreeing to something and rather saying "maybe" or "I guess." She highly values rules, justice, fairness and truth and very much dislikes change. She is very dependable but easily attached.

Korbyn Johnson 17 (senior at his high school, turns 18 in the book) male 6'2 jet black hair that's slicked back (not as much as a greaser tho) he has light blue eyes that seem to always sparkle with mischief his eyes wrinkle up when he laughs, he runs his hands through his hair when anxious or stressed he has a beat up braided silver colored bracelet he always wears (his sister's who died while being experimented on, she's two years older and was named Lux) he's an orphan (parents gave him and his sister up) and lives with a foster family that barely pays attention to him except to give him the basic needs he is very intelligent and inquisitive and good at figuring things out/problem solving just like a raven but he is also mischievous and sometimes a bit cruel as well
this is a rough draft and subject to change

sure, lets start with the high school, what do we want to call it?
city, suburbs, country?

River Valley High, Long Beach High School, North Sandelwood High School, or Acadia Academy if we wanted to make it a boarding school?
As for place, I'm not sure. Since people would be experimenting on kids, suburbs seems unlikely. It would probably make the most sense for it to be in the country, but it would also make it harder for characters to run into each other outside of school, whereas a city would make it a more common/easy occurrence. Although since they're both old enough to drive and if it were in the country, there could maybe be one place in town that all the high schoolers went to hang out, etc.. What do you think?

Okay, I can do that, although I cringed at Maximum Ride, because while the plot is really good and the characters fairly developed the writing is lacking imo So we need to come up with a general idea for it, do you want to talk characters or plot first? It doesn't have as many sensory details as many other books, and I think that was intentional by the author. I'm assuming you guys are going to make something that's similar to Warriors in the way that it's written(about twenty-five longish chapters and some details). Definitely not purple prose or bare-bones. I'd also like to note that I haven't finished the series yet, I just stated that to give you some sort of premise of what I want to do so you could reject me. And, since I think you're doing some sort of romance, I'll leave.
