Lilacsong held the door open. "What did I say? Did I insult you somehow? Oh, and by the way, I'm outside, beebrain." Moonsong tried to control herself. "Yes. You are insulting me and other cats, who, personally, I don't think they deserved it. So you can get off my property now, Lilacsong." She tried to close the door again to lock the she-cat outside, struggling against the death grip she held it in. Lilacsong laughed. "No one will ever know about this. You'll be too scared to tell anyone. They always are. " Lilacsong walked away, still laughing.

Moonsong slammed the door and sank against the floor, trying hard not to scream. She knew that Lilacsong was right. She knew she wouldn't tell anyone. And that was the worst part. Because she knew she was responsible. She had caused this nice she-cat to turn sour. "Stupid, stupid," she muttered, punching the floor with every word. "You should have been kind. You should have been opening and welcoming. Now look what you've done." She took a deep breath, trying to calm down. You've ruined everything.

Tigerstorm took a breath as he approached the next house Thornspark had mentioned. Moonsong... #6... He cautiously knocked on the door, hoping not to see another cat holding a knife. He waited patiently, hoping for a kind answer.

Moonsong kept her head down as another knock sounded at the door. "Go away," she mewed, her voice strangled. "I don't want to talk to you anymore."

"S-Sorry! Didn't mean to disturb you..." He called, taking a few pawsteps back. Moonsong heard the voice, and immediately felt terrible. It wasn't Lilacsong. It was someone else entirely. I just keep messing things up today... She buried her head in her knees, trying to hold back her emotions.
Behind Tigerstorm, a car pulled up on the street. Out popped a reddish-brown she-cat, carrying a small bag. "Thanks, Ms. Yarrowheart," she called cheerfully, practically bouncing down the path. "I'll talk to you later, okay?" As the she-cat reached the porch, she finally noticed the tom waiting there. "Oh..." she mewed, disappointment flooding her face. "Is Moon out doing something?"

I'm not sure if she's busy or not..." He meowed, wondering what was right to say. "Er, I was trying to meet her, if you're going to wonder why I'm here."

"Oh, I assumed you met her," the she-cat said, brushing off the tom's discomfort. "Or at least were trying to. This doesn't seem like a bad neighborhood." The she-cat walked up to the door, giving 3 quick knocks followed by two long ones. "Moonsong!" she called, her voice full of excitement. "Guess who's here!"
Moonsong's head snapped up at the sound of the familiar voice. Gently standing, she carefully opened the door. "Jasminetail...?" she asked, disbelief filling her voice. "You..."
Jasminetail smiled, her whole face lighting up as she drew Moonsong in for a big hug. "Oooh, I missed you so much!"

Tigerstorm stepped back and watched the two with a soft smile on his face as he watched the two. I guess I'll let them have peace... "I'll be going then I guess."
