The۞Moonsong۞Cottage

As you stroll down the street, you finally reach your destination. #6 Misty Echo Lane. The house looks simple enough- a pale blue one-story with white shutters and a dark grey roof. There's even a little garage next to the house. A gravel path leads up to a small white porch cradled between two massive willow trees. As you knock on the sturdy wood door, a tall bookish she-cat quickly answers. "Oh!" she stammers, caught off guard. "Are you here already?" She ushers you inside, hurriedly cleaning up some stray papers. "Welcome," she says, "to my cottage."

۞The House۞
۞Living Room۞
Through a short hardwood entry hall lies the living room- the main room of the house. It isn't boxed off by walls, instead a few steps lead down into a carpeted depression in the floor. The 'room' is in a large semi-circle, and takes up most of the house. The only pieces of furniture left in this room are two ragged couches that nestle perfectly into the round edges of the depression and a large oak table where a TV once sat. There is a glass sliding door on the right side of the table which leads outside to the back porch.
۞Dining Room۞
To the left of the living room, there is another open expanse. Although there is still no furniture to speak of here, Moonsong has decided it will become the dining room. There is space enough for a long table and several chairs in the area, which has all hardwood floors. At the bottom of the room is an open arch leading into the closed off kitchen.
۞Kitchen۞
The kitchen is walled off on all sides, except for the archway from the kitchen. It has several built in counters and cabinet lining the walls, all made out of the same dark wood as the floors. There is a sink built into the counters, which are made of white marble. There is also still a refrigerator on the left side of the room, but for now it is completely bare. There is a space for an oven, but it is empty now. All the cabinets are also empty.
۞Bathroom۞
Down a narrow hall on the right of the living room on the left of the hall is the door to the bathroom. This is the only bathroom in the house, and as such has a tub/shower and toilet. There is a white marble sink, similar to the one in the kitchen, but much shallower. There is also a small medicine cabinet above the sink, with a mirror on the door. The whole room is still covered with a thick layer of grime, but hopefully Moonsong will be able to clean it out soon.
۞Bedroom۞
The entrance to the bedroom is on the right side of the small hall. It's a rather large room- probably the third largest after the living and dining rooms. The bed is still intact, made out of a sturdy fake wood. The old sheets were filthy, but luckily sheets were one of the few things Moonsong thought to bring. The bed is now decked out in brown and blue sheets with a large quilt on top. There is also a small table in the back of the room, which Moonsong has converted into some sort of study by putting her laptop there. This room is the only other room besides the living room with carpet instead of hardwood.
۞Backyard۞
Out the glass door mentioned before is a large white porch in the form of a semicircle. There are few pieces of white plastic furniture scattered around a stone firepit in the center of the porch, but other than that the porch is empty. The yard itself is grass with a few empty flowerbeds rimming the fence. Moonsong plans to fill these up with flowers as soon as she can.

۞The Residents۞
۞Moonsong۞
Moonsong is a younger she-cat of about 22 years. She is tall and lean, and has silver-grey fur with pale tabby stripes. Her eyes are dark green, and radiate a kind of cool wisdom you wouldn't expect to see in one so young. Moonsong is the kind of cat who would rather sit at home than go to any social event. She's sensitive, and easily overwhelmed by her emotions, so while she may seem quiet on the outside, those in her inner circle have a much different perspective. She is a self-proclaimed introvert, bookworm, and nerd, and has very few close friends. Or rather, had. You see, Moonsong just moved here. She left most everything she had behind, only bringing a few of her belongings, and her pet ferret, Drea. She's hoping to find a new start in this city- although she's quite fine to stay cooped up in her home for now.
۞Drea۞
Drea is a small ferret of about 4 years. She has been with Moonsong her whole life, ever since she found her abandoned on the side of the road. Drea has brown fur with darker spots around her eyes, and her eyes are dark brown. She is quite welcome to visitors, and loves to climb all over you.
