Paloma just hates when guys flirt with her. Mainly because she's been around men in the Marines for so long that she's just gotten tired of it)
Paloma had all of the Marines stand back "Get around to the other side of the fire so he has nowhere left to run" she said before turning back to Rod "Now tell me what was so important that you had to interrupt my day by causing an explosion" she said

"I told you the reason," Rodas replied with a smirk. "Maybe you should start listening when someone talks." He let his eyes wander, scanning for a way out. So far, it was through her or the fire. Neither one he liked.

"They didn't push me like that!" Rodas protested. "I would never blow up a nice place over a little shove." He grinned. "I blew it up because they named me and attacked. And since you obviously don't seem to know my face, let me introduce myself!" With a flourish, he pulled off his hat and dipped into a low bow. "Kano Rodas, m'lady."

"Well, don't be signing me off just yet," Rod smiled, still low in the bow, eyes watching Paloma. Suddenly, he stood, pulling out a pistol with his free hand and firing a shot at the marine's leg. His pistols weren't ordinary, they fired seastone bullets.

The bullet hit her leg as she wasn't prepared for seastone bullets. She let a curse out before drawing her swords "Don't think that that would be enough" she said

Rod placed his hat back on his head, freeing his hand to pull out his cutlass. "Never is!" He exclaimed, his voice light. He watched her, letting her make the next move.

"You must be new around here, to not recognize my face," he replied. "And yes, I am. The name Raiden ring any bells? Your captain seems to think he can allow his pirates into my waters." Shuji didn't have any response, he just gulped. "Well if it makes you feel any better you won't be dying today. In fact, I'll do you the favor of returning you to your captain." Raiden looked over to Masaki. "I'm going back to the ship, come on back if you're done here." ~~~ *ᴿᵃᶤᶰᶜᵃˡˡᵉʳ*: "You can say that again," Kyoden agreed, glancing to Kuina. Fortunately the walk to the town wasn't too long, and soon the buildings' forms were taking shape. It was still rather dark, comparable to twilight on a clear day, but the lampposts provided ample light to traverse the streets. "This much fog is terrible for my hair..." Scarlet muttered as she reached back to put it into a ponytail. Kyoden rolled his eyes. That's what she was worried about? "Well anyway looks like we're here," he said, stopping under a lamppost. "Everyone looks... really fancy..." There were quite a few people moving up and down the streets, all dressed in Victorian styles. Quite a few had umbrellas, either held over their heads or hanging on an arm, and few seemed to notice the small group of pirates at first.

"Well, now I simply feel underdressed," Kuina stated, looking at the scene. Glancing at her brother, she continued. "Think they got anything in black and yellow?" This earned her an annoyed look from her twin. Still, this place kept getting weirder. Not to mention there was no way they weren't going to stand out.

Paloma launched herself forward, her katanas scraping against the walls in the alleyway. She brought one of her hands up before swinging it downwards to try and cut Rod's arm
Masaki smiled "I'm done here but are we just taking him? Or the whole crew?" He asked "Because I'm not sure if we can feed that many men"

Rod raised his cutlass just in time to parry. He could feel her strength, forcing himself to coat the blade in Haki. He pushed himself backwards, allowing himself room to fire the pistol at her, though he still made no move to aim in a vital spot.

Paloma immediately coated her blades in Haki as soon as she saw that Rod was able to before their swords collided "So you're not some rookie then" she said as she blocked the bullet with her katana's blade. She wasn't going to get hit a second time easily

Rod smirked. "A rookie with a 120,000,000 bounty is going to be some rookie," He replied, twisting around her and putting himself between her and her men. At least now he didn't have fire at his back.

"You mean how he ended up the Pirate King?" Rod pointed out, dodging to the side. The blade caught his coat and tore it, distancing himself more, Rod studied the coat, growling. He hated it when his clothes were torn.

Cursing under his breath, he dodged and blocked the bullets. Rather than attacking Paloma, he turned and attacked her men. They at least were easier to fight, and he just needed to maim them enough to fall them rather than kill them.

Paloma rushed towards him. There was no way she was going to let him go. "Stand your ground and fight" she said before the other Marines drew their swords and started to rush Rod

*ᴿᵃᶤᶰᶜᵃˡˡᵉʳ*: Scarlet looked down at her clothing and nodded. "Yeah, I'm feeling a bit of that too. The tears in my pants also really help... I think Kyo might fit in the most out of any of us," she said with a laugh. "Whatever. Let's just hurry," Kyoden muttered. With a moment of hesitation he walked up to the closest person, a young man who looked no older than himself. "Pardon me, sir!" he called out. When the young man turned around he continued. "My companions and I are looking to replenish our supplies, can you direct us to the closest market?" The man looked over the group with a raised eyebrow, clearly very tempted to just turn away and ignore them. However he exhaled and pointed down a street to the right. "Right this way," he said before walking away. ~~~ Lioncl: "We're just taking this one. The others are being left to float with the current," Raiden said, ignoring any protests from Shuji. He then glanced down at the younger man and looked as if he had tasted something bitter. "As for you, it's time for a little nap." He wasted no time in delivering a shock to Shuji, just enough to make him pass out in his arms. Shuji was then tossed over Raiden's shoulder and the two returned to the ship.

Raiden shrugged and let out a low chuckle. "I like to keep them guessing," he said, referring to the now abandoned rival pirates. Once back on his own ship's deck he called for someone to bring out a chair and one promptly arrived soon after it was sought after. Raiden slung Shuji over his shoulder and sat his limp body down in the chair before tying the younger man;s ankles to the legs of it. Shuji's wrists were then tied behind his back. "Now we wait till he wakes up."

Rod growled. He didn't like being completely surrounded. His off-hand holding his pistol, he fired round after round at the men as he used his sword to block attacks. None of the bullets were aimed at any vital spots, Rod's goal being to maim them and run.

Paloma gritted her teeth as she Drew her swords and coated them in armament haki."Everyone stand back. I'll finish this" she said as she walked forward. She was ready for him to shoot at her. "Now you've made me mad. First you set off an explosion that put innocent civilians in danger and next you toy with my men. You are not leaving this island without a pair of cuffs on you" she said

"I don't remember putting innocent lives in danger," Rod protested, raising his blade and pointing a gun at her. "I happened to have only risked the lives of your men. Though, as for toying with your men, I'm guilty as charged." He gave a grin as he fired the weapon.

"Then you must be stupider than you look. The explosion ended up bursting through the building which then caused debris to go everywhere. Plus civilians do go in and out of the building usually for numerous reasons. To report crimes, to report a pirate sighting, to see their husband or wife" Paloma said before swinging one of her swords at Rod
