Mackenzie was by far the worst procrastinator she has ever known, she was still panicking internally about the trigonometry homework she still had not completed that was due that day. She even woke up at 0400 to try and get it done but then she fell back asleep as she was working on it in bed, only to wake up to her actual alarm at 0600. She was a mess to say the least. On the inside anyway, not on the outside. She was very self concious and was very concerned with how she looked, so Mackenzie refused to leave the house until she looked her best. Or at least decent.
Her hair was straightened, but curled in slightly as her hair was so thick it can't stay stick straight. But it was a good thing, it added volume. She wore a thin Adidas brand long-sleeved shirt with jeggings and black converse, nothing fancy, but it was school, who needed to dress up? If Mackenzie could, she would go in her pajamas. Maybe, if they weren't ridiculous.
But aside from the mess she felt like she was, Mackenzie decided to walk to school. She usually drove or at least took the bus, but it was a nice day outside. Well, nice to Mackenzie's liking: overcast, light cool wind, no humidity. Which was rare for a state like Texas but late winter and earlier fall days were always enjoyable. She turned the street corner, heading closer to the school, but with how everything was going today she found it unsurprising that she rammed into someone.
Well, at the time it was surprising. She was almost knocked backwards due to the weight on her back that is her backpack but she was able to dig her heel in the ground and only stumbled a few paces back. "Oh wow I'm so sorry! I didn't see where I was going. Are you alright?" She asked the person, he didn't look too much older than her, perhaps they went to the same school but she never noticed him. If that was the case she would certainly feel awful

As Jaxon had rounded the corner to head in the direction of the school, at least he hoped, he felt a sudden impact. The impact hardly moved him, however, he quickly discovered that this was due to his size compared to the girl he had collided with. Jaxon almost asked her if she was okay, but he stopped himself as he looked her over. She looked to be about his age, even though she looked rather small. I'll probably go to the same school as her. Best not to make friends or bring attention to yourself. He reminded himself silently. "I'm fine, thanks." He kept his reply short, although he glanced over her one last time to make sure she was okay, before turning back in the direction that he was heading.
Jaxon had learned quickly how to avoid people and not make friends. Especially when he had been landed with a family like the one he had just been stuck with. He gave with place a month tops.

I just edited an old character of mine, so it turned out longer than expected... oops, I guess.
Nieve Hana Watten // female // 22
ᵒ ᵒ ᵒ Nieve is the baby of the family. Being the baby means being spoiled, constantly, which certainly shows in how she acts. It also means getting away with things her older siblings could never dream of doing. She's constantly yearning for travel, for stories and for adventure. Like many in her family before her, she wants nothing more than to make memories, and breaking rules to do so is no problem. The fact that's she's so easy to like certainly doesn't hurt.
ᵒ ᵒ ᵒ Nieve is a whirlwind. She's kind, yes, but she's inconsiderate. She does what she wants when she wants, sticks to her opinions ruthlessly and argues without attempting to hide her passion and anger. Quick to strong emotions - whether they be something as warm as love or something so brutal as hatred, she's never more than a step away from an outburst.
ᵒ ᵒ ᵒ Nieve is quick on her feet, sharp-witted and quick to come up with solutions. However, she lacks wisdom, so her solutions are often double-edged or fall apart in the long term. Nonetheless, she's not afraid to make suggestions. Outspoken and lively, there's not one conversation you can keep her from.
Nieve is quite tall, standing around 5'10", something only amplified by her great love for heels. She has a willowy frame, with a boyish figure and long, slim limbs. Where others' slimness is from being toned, something that'd make them surprisingly strong, Nieve simply has no fat or muscle on her bones. She's elegant and lithe, moving with a dancer's grace. She tends towards loose fitting tops and skinny jeans, but she also has a great appreciation for dresses and skirts.

Hannah Draper- Hannah is 23 years old. She comes from a family of 3 brothers, so has developed a strong ability to speak her mind and be heard. She has a strong sense of humor, quick wit, and excellent people skills. All of these attributes helped her land a job at the popular local radio station as an anchor. While she is not well known, her improvements to the show have attracted many listeners to the station. Throughout all of this, Hannah has kept a humble attitude.
Hannah has long brown hair that she usually keeps curled. Her eyes are bright green and always lined with just enough makeup to enhance her natural beaut, even though she isn't the type of girl to stand out in a crowd. Hannah stands 5'6" tall and has small build. She is not fat, but not muscular either. She prefers to wear a pair of skinny jeans or leggings, a nice shirt, and flats.

Mackenzie was sort of irritated by his rude actions, in the way he didn't ask if she was alright back or even a 'didn't see you there' would suffice. Apparently it was too much to ask of some people. She tried to not let it get to her, even though she knew it would be in the back of her head all day. When he started walking again though, that was when she was questioning if he went to her school or not, maybe he went to Randolph High School? No that wasn't possible, then he wouldn't be living in this neighborhood if that was the case. "Hey, if you're headed to Brooke Point, it's this way." She told him with a small smile, trying to be friendly despite his rude actions. Maybe he was just nervous? Whatever he was, Mackenzie would try to not judge too quickly, even though the tattoos and nose ring sort of already gave him a trouble maker vibe. Hopefully that wasn't the case.
But she felt like she would find out soon enough. Brooke Point was the smallest school in the county, with only 380 kids give or take a few. Meaning she was sure to see him again. Everyone knew everyone, so a new kid would get quite the reaction, seeing as there weren't many kids to begin with.

Jaxon stopped at her words, embarrassment rising in his stomach. He pushed it away before turning around. "Thanks." He muttered as he headed back that way. He was a little frustrated that now it seem like he would have to walk the rest of the way to the school with this girl. Not only because he would get lost otherwise, but because he couldn't go another way without being completely rude.
Jaxon shrugged his backpack into a more comfortable position onto his shoulders. Part of him felt bad for being so short with the girl, especially when she was being so nice to him. He couldn't help it though, it would be harder to leave this place if he ended up with a friend.

Hannah was on her way to a local concert. It was late, but she had to get a great segment for the next day. She was hoping to get a moment with one of the bands that were playing, but she wasn't so sure that would be possible. She also wanted to talk to the club manager about getting a booth set up for the radio station at their next event.
She had settled on a pair or skinny jeans and a flowy dark blue shirt. She had a small notepad and pen in her back pocket in case she did get a moment with the band. Her hair was falling in soft curls down her back as she made her way into the club.
There was a lot of pressure from her boss for this night to be successful, but that was never a problem for Hannah. She walked with a radiating confidence as she handed her ID to the person at the door and entered the club. The lighting was dim and dreary inside, but the music was already blasting and people were dancing on the floor. Hannah made her way over to the bar to listen to the music in peace.

Things were finally taking off for Nieve. They were really taking off. Six months ago, she'd struggled to get a small town gig that paid enough for a glass of water wherever she was performing. Then, one of the Peytons - arguably the most famous family in the country - had shared one of her songs on social media and she'd blown up overnight. It wasn't local fame, either, it was fans waiting outside venues and enough autographs to make her wrist ache. She'd even been recognised outside of an event, once, something that marked the best moment of her life. So no, she wasn't on tour. Not yet. But with labels fawning over her, trying desperately to one-up each other, she thought it wouldn't be long.
Today, she'd been asked to play a set at a club just outside her hometown. She'd accepted eagerly - it paid well and would get her some much-needed exposure - which was how she found herself standing with the live band, having a hurried last-minute chat about the performance. And then, almost before she knew how, she was singing and they were playing. She looked out over the dancefloor, amazed that this many people were here and enjoying themselves and the music.
The set was over before she wanted it to be. She embraced each of the guys in the band for a short few seconds, exchanging laughs and smiles as she went to leave the stage, wishing the next performer luck as she went. She stopped by the foot of the stage, reaching into the bag she'd left there to drain a water bottle, then half of a second one. She sighed, closing her eyes for a few moments to relish the moment.
( I wasn't sure, but I ended up figuring that this would be the first time they met, so that's what I went with. hope I wasn't entirely off! )

Ian Archer- Ian is 24 years old. He stands 6'2" tall. Ian is skinny, with a slight layer of muscle. He has messy brown hair and wears thick rimmed glasses, even though he only needs them for reading. He believes that it helps him look less intimidating and more intelligent. Not that he needs to look any more intelligent than he is.
Ian was a top students all through high school as well as in the college classes he had taken. He had graduated from an engineering school nearby at the top of his class. His parents had been extremely supportive of Ian his entire life. Even when he didn't take the high paying engineering job that he had been offered after high school, they were still extremely proud of the technology job that he had accepted for a computer company in town.
Ian's thick glasses make his light blue eyes pop ever so slightly more than they would without the glasses. Ian's main goal with his outfit choices was to blend in. He often settled for blue jeans and a pollo or flannel tshirt.

(Its perfect! I have no super set plans for this rp!)
Hannah couldn't help but sway slightly in her seat as the band ended. She took a sip of her drink, a cherry limeade. She watched as the singer hug the band members and exit the stage. She kept her eyes trained on the singer, looking for her first chance to swoop in and ask her questions.
Hannah crossed her legs to wait patiently. She was good at the waiting game. Even if she had to wait until the singer was about to leave the club, she almost always got the information that she wanted. She finished her drink before standing from her bar stool and beginning to cross the dance floor and head for the singer.

Mackenzie started walking back once he was next to her in the direction of the school. "No problem, I would hate for you to be late. I know I wouldn't be very happy if someone just let me move in the wrong direction." She smiled again and then looked down at the concrete below her feet as she tried think up a conversation starter, or maybe just an introduction of sorts without it sounding formal. And Mackenzie hardly said anything formal to the new kids. If she said anything to them that is. She prefered to keep her distance as to find out what kind of person they were before introducing herself properly. "What's your name? I don't think I've seen you before." She shouldn't have said that though, maybe he wasn't new and would get offended...God she needed to stop worrying about everything and everyone.

Jaxon kept his eyes straight ahead as they walked to the school. He would have been content to walk in silence, but it didn’t seem as if this girl was going to let that happen. Jaxon hesitated when she asked for his name. He didn’t exactly know how to reply to her.
“Jaxon. I’m new and I won’t be here for long.” He kept his reply short and answered what seemed to be pushing her curiosity, whether he was new to the town or not. He kept out the part about being in foster care, at least for now. He had begun to grow curious about her name and her story, but he didn’t allow himself to ask. It wasn’t worth it for him to try to make a friend.

Nieve started walking, eyes closed still. That, unsurprisingly, proved to be a mistake. She crashed right into a girl, causing her to drop the bottle in her hand. She jumped back, startled, eyes flying open. "I'm so sorry," she said, reaching down to pick the bottle back up. Her bag, thankfully, was still in her hand so she slipped the bottle into it.
"Really," she continued, sounding genuinely apologetic, "that was totally my fault. I didn't get any on you, did I?" She sure hoped not. The last thing she wanted was to deal with a messy throwdown over some spilt water, much less one she'd caused herself. "Can I make it up to you somehow? Buy you a drink, maybe?"

Hannah caught herself from stumbling back into anyone else. "Oh my goodness! I am so sorry!" In her rush to make it to the singer, she had run right into her. She dabbed gently at a spot of water that had landed on the bottom hem of her shirt. "I definitely need to watch where I am walking." Hannah had already plastered a smile to her face and was nothing but friendly. After all, it was only water, it wouldn't ruin anything. "No need to make up anything! It was totally my fault!"
"My name is Hannah, by the way." She held out her hand to the singer with a smile. "Hannah Draper." She cut right to the introductions, ready to get her questions answered and get home.

Mackenzie was a bit surprised to hear that, he seemed as if he was on a schedule of sorts. She couldn't really think of many possibilities as to why someone would move soon. "I'm assuming you have military parents? That's neat actually, my mom is retired Air Force and my step dad's retired Army." Her parents retired when she was about 13 or so, which was good timing, it left her to complete middle school in one school and then finish high school with the same class and do AFJROTC without having to transfer credits. Her eyes widened slightly as she realized she forgot something quite important when it came to meeting new people. "I should probably introduce myself, I'm Mackenzie. But everyone calls me Kenzie, but I won't make you call me that. You don't strike me as the nickname type Jaxon." She was tempted to make a nickname out of Jaxon just to tease him a little but she wasn't sure how close of a friend someone is supposed to be before they start teasing.
