Auransky brokenSally's eyes follow the paper and shrugged. "I don't see how a paper bird's going to help anything. But I've got nothing better to do." She could tell from the smell in the air that the fire no longer was spreading and the smoke hung lazily in the air, dispersing into the unmoving air. The crane made no move to speed up when it was noticed. Sable was getting bolder when using his paper spies. Sally looked over at Snake. "Can we actually start walking now?" She turned to look at Lelouch mid-way through that and tapped her foot impatiently.

@bolderpelt Oliver paused every now and again, but gave the Master very little time to catch up. The vampire grumbled about this, but didn't run at full speed either. He'd just needed to move outside of a normal human's capacity. He felt trapped, slow, and clumsy when he had to move at normal speed. The vampire had also felt that by running he could somehow stop thinking. His head hurt with all he had to deal with and understand. Finally, after another couple of minutes of running, he stopped at an intersection. A 'path' stretched left and another right. Oliver waited for the Master, still. He wasn't breathing hard or showed any signs he'd been running. "I want out of this place," he said, half to himself. Something moved behind him and he turned, expecting the Master. "You took-" he started, but stopped when he saw that nothing was there. He cast a glance around, but saw nothing out of the ordinary. But he hadn't imagined it.
-- No, those couldn't be here... Those what? wondered Myrnin, as the stray thought flickered into his head. "What? Why?" he asked, hurriedly backing away from the shadows by the pile. He was half distracted by the thoughts that weren't his own. This hadn't happened since three years ago. He frantically tried to think of something, anything, that would distract him. That person hadn't been him. He didn't want that to happen again. Oliver was the only one that stopped me from hurting Claire and her friends. But he's not here. No one is here to help. Except for the Doctor, that was. Should he say something? Or was that shadow worse trouble? (I just wanted to cause problems for Myrnin...)

The Master was still a good ways away when Oliver saw whatever it was. He knew nothing about it, and as he came sprinting around the corner to the aisle that Oliver was in, and down to the next intersection, he asked, "What?" He could see the distress on his face, slowing to a walk as he neared the spot where the movement had been. "Have you winded yourself?" he mocked, a shark's smile forming as he walked forward to stand a couple of feet from the vampire, hands shoved into his pockets. He was breathing deeply, but didn't even seemed flushed, or sweaty. Running was the only real sport back on his home planet, or had been before everything had gone to crap. Everyone had done it, boys and girls and everything else alike. It was hard to forget something that had been nearly bred into you. "Or did you see a ghost?"
---
Was he reading his mind? The Doctor didn't say anything though. If Myrnin was, he might hear that, and he might say something about it. That wasn't his biggest worry, however. "Those moving shadows, they remind me of this thing from my universe, called the Vastra Nerada. They hide in shadows, each flesh. Think of them as piranhas, but invisible ones that hide in the dark, you know? Well, no, you probably don't, but the air eating your flesh is not pleasant. Just, uh, stay away from them. They have trouble moving outside of any already casted shadows."

@bolderpelt Oliver ignored the Master for the most part. "Be quiet will you?" he muttered. He turned around in a circle, slowly, eyes taking in everything before moving on. He didn't like that he felt like something was always behind him. "I don't know what I saw," he said. "A ghost might be a possibility, though not my world's type." But he didn't think it was a ghost, even the type the Master was talking about. Ghost in Morganville were vampires that died. Well...close enough. They were failed vampires, that had died within Founder's Houses. Oliver was one of the few who had ever created a ghost and it had been by pure accident. It had caused problems later on, but had ended up the starting point that had changed Morganville for the 'better'. At least for vampire-human relations. A mirror caught him eye, finally, and he frowned. Because what he was looking at in the mirror wasn't his reflection. "If I say anything," he started. "And you make a vampire joke..." He pointed to the mirror. "What do you see if you look into that?" Because what Oliver was seeing wasn't his reflection. As in, it wasn't there. Vampires of Morganville did have reflections, so why was his missing?
(I've got no idea where this is going...I'm making this up as I go along. ^^' )
--
Was he reading his mind?
Myrnin whimpered a little. He hoped it sounded like he was thinking about these Vastra Nerada things and not the actual reason. Worse things happened in the back alleys of Morganville than shadow piranhas, but the vampire pointed down at the shadow he was casting as well as pointing to the one the Doctor was casting. "What about these?" He took his hand out of his pocket, with the glowing thing. It cast enough light to blot out most of Myrnin's shadow. "Is the logical thought here, light, that is, the way to keep them away?"

mintedstar/fur and Auransky: Aizen took a good moment to observe what the interior of the hall and room looked like. He took a step around Kid and then took a few more steps into the hallway, effectively answering the thief's question. After taking another moment to further look around at things he continued down the hallway without so much as a glance back at Kid. Perhaps it was his complete confidence in his own abilities, or the somewhat familiar surroundings, but the cells didn't seem to bother him. In fact, a wide subtle grin had stretched across his face.

"Yeah, of course," The Doctor said, like it was common knowledge that you beat shadow creatures so simply, "shadow plus light equals, you know, no shadow." He shrugged, looking down at his own shadow nervously, and seeing there was only one of them, let out a sigh of relief. Sometimes, the creatures would latch onto your own shadow, creating two of them, and then, well, devouring you very quickly and painlessly. At least it wasn't too, too bad.

"Standing around will get us nowhere, but then again going anywhere other then this museum isn't an option, is it?" ((Sorry for the short post)) mintedstar/fur Kuragehime It still hadn't occurred to Akira that someone other then Igor the owner, or the wardens had wandered into the room. Well at the moment it was just him in that one cell at the end of the main hall staring at the ceiling from his bed. The scene of Akechi shooting him to death in the interrogation room replying over and over again. If we realized sooner, would it had made a difference? If Akechi was left to die.... would that have made another difference? He took slow long breaths, seeing as he would lay in that cell for the rest of eternity. Igor said it wouldn't be so bad, the four of them in the velvet room for the rest of time. Except... Igor and the wardens can go out, he couldn't. ANd so he closed his eyes in utter regret. ((Oh I forgot to mention the velvet room has a theme too. Something to hopefully bring the room's description to life(ish) knowing all the context, and understanding why you (M.C) is there it brings the eeriness of reality. Especially during all the bad endings which can occur since the very start.))

Kuragehime Auransky Kid followed, finally letting the door swing closed. He was starting to get a really bad feeling about Aizen. Kid was pretty good at telling when someone was hiding their true emotions. He was a little slower as he walked down the cell block. The almost silent sound of someone breathing reached his ears in this quiet place and Kid bristled. "Someone's here!" he exclaimed, looking around. He was almost sure that hadn't been Aizen.

broken and Auransky "I've only ever been in an art museum," admitted Sally. Though, that had only been a brief visit and had been on Watch business, so it hardly counted. "Though I'm sure I'll remember, even if I left now." She looked around as they followed the paper crane. Small items were starting to turn up along the walls and the vampire could tell that they had been put there by people who only half cared what was happening to them. But this was still the hallway and she could see the double doors to the museum just ahead. Why were all these random items here? -- broken, @bolderpelt , Kuragehime , tinybreeze , Lark Conan just nodded, understanding a little better. [[ okay! ]] Oliver hadn't stopped smiling, but he turned to look at the mirror again. His face became blank and back in the non-mirror world something moved just out of sight. Oliver blinked, turning back to look at the Master, the usual frown back on his face. "Sorry?" he said. "What did you say? I wasn't paying attention." He implied in the tone of his voice that the Master wasn't worth the time of paying attention. The collar, even though it was clear Oliver had heard the Master's words because he had looked at the mirror, didn't strangle him. Oliver at least seemed back to normal, scowling at the Master. -- "What'd you do about these things back in your universe then?" asked Myrnin, attention swiftly turning to the shadow to the Doctor left, trying to get more light in that direction. With his free hand he rubbed the place just above his eyes. "Uh, depends on what you mean by okay." His eyes scanned the nearest pile, looking for any unusual movement. "It never was in perfect condition to begin with, so probably not okay. But, yes, I'm reading your mind...help?" The last part held some fear. He didn't want to hurt anyone. Especially since the one in most danger was the Doctor, who Myrnin was starting to consider a friend. And the fact that if anything happened to him these shadow things were probably going to get Myrnin.

Crap. "I think we should step away from the mirror," The Master suggested, reaching out and wrapping a thin, but surprisingly strong hand around Oliver's wrist, face stony, "I know this might be hard, but trust me for twenty seconds." He began to pull, not sure if the vampire was about to gut him like a fish or not. Really, he didn't care too much. He was already dead, so then he'd just be more dead. That couldn't be too bad, right? He just didn't want to mess with whatever was clearly moving around in that mirror, and making the sour vampire act like a loon.
---
The Doctor pulled the screwdriver out of his pocket, shining the light on the shadows to his left too, and they retracted back some more, closer to the pile. He was still pointing when his hand found Myrnin's shoulder, and without even looking at him, he told him, "I can help." And with that, his palm pressed to the side of Myrnin's head, and his vision left him. For him, it was like jumping off the stairs, and as he entered Myrnin's mind, it was like landing, his "knees" bending underneath of him as he stood up, looking around. Dark. It was like that, before a person actually agreed to open their mind to another's. He waited, after a moment calling, "Myrnin?"

mintedstar/fur Kuragehime Akira herd footsteps approaching, this slightly caught his attention. Probably just the guards, trying to scold me and tell me of my pending execution.. Yet the male voices caught him off. He turned sitting up from the bed, then turned his head out towards the desk which sat in front of him. There was Aizen, and he was speaking to someone else. His eyes scrolled out to see another figure, a rather well manored dress figure. It seemed familiar, like that of a thief's outfit. Yet who they were was not of his concern, rather how in the world did they reach the world between dream and reality, mind and manor. He stood up slowly, fighting the weights which weighed him down, and slowly dragged himself towards the edge of the cell, he gazed out blankly in silence for a moment before moving his lips to speak, however the shock was too great so he found himself unable to say anything.

He didn't know what to think of him. Possibly there was something more about him than met the eye, but Conan couldn't pinpoint it.

mintedstar/fur ((We'll wait for Kuragehime ?)) Akira looked back and forth between the two, his silence filled with thoughts within. There was many questions, and these two weren't helping one bit. Where is Igor... or the wardens for the matter? His eyes gazed out towards the edge of the rooms, then to the table before the two again. He nodded silently then looked back down at the chains which gripped his wrists. "I'm okay here.." He softly replied, "This place is the world between mind and reality after all." He softly stated. "What happened to any of us in reality, it makes no difference. While we suffer, we do not feel it here. Instead we find tranquility in the depths of the unconscious." He sighed, he really had given up. That shot to the head really happened, and Akechi got away with it. Akechi won, the phantom thieves were going to be plucked out of the picture, one by one. And it was all that backstabbing high school detective's fault. These thoughts though surging his frustrations, were deep within Akira's thoughts. His expression remained spacious, and blank as his usualness which hid many secrets in the living.

(We'll wait for Hime. And wow. That makes it sound a lot like Kid's world. XD These two are going to be interesting when they know each other's history.) (Gah! My computer ate my reply to Stranger Things...twice! >.< Well, the first time I hit cut instead of copy, but I'm still blaming the computer. )

mintedstar/fur (*insert other tags here* ) "Quote. I'm a robot, in case you didn't know," he said. Conan probably figured out the non-human part already. The injuries from the shrapnel weren't bleeding, after all. Quote crossed his arms. "You seem rather young for a detective..." Perhaps it was a small hobby?
