Rudy blinked back as he ran back the way they came. And yet there was a reality to consider, the way back was too far. They'd be goners, they were going to be goners. "Just run for now!" Rudy cried out, glimpsing behind the two to see the wave of black abnormalities moved in ways that defined reality. Individual, maybe they stood a chance, as a group, they were clearly gonna drown.
The black sea, or scribbles, no distinct shape, form or cause. Alone annoying to look at, but together a large body of water that moved in ways that could be argued as not possible.
Rudy looked around, there was nothing and they were still running back the way they came. But now that the wave was at equal level, it seemed to be gaining momentum. He looked around him, the peaceful brightly colored world was still colored the same, not disturbed by this anomaly. He took out his lucky chalk from his pocket, he had tried previously to do this in other rooms to no avail. But right now, hope was good as any. He reached out as far as he could, drawing a circle big enough to jump through, at first nothing.
he shook his head, and tried again drawing into the air, hoping something would happen. Nothing....
"Oh... come on!" He pleaded, reaching out in front of him once more full of determination. He drew a circle in the air , with hope and optimism. It seemed hopeless, and yet third times the charm. The air specfically where he drew , became a literal circle in the air, with light illuminating around the edge. The sky in between the circle too soon illuminated.
"C-Conan!" Rudy cried out stopping. "Let's go through here!" he adviced. If things worked like in Chalkzone, they would only need to jump, and close it from the other side. "don't ask, just jump. We need to get out of here!"

<Raintalon> "I don't know," said Newt, looking at the ring with less intensity than Mei. But he was well enough versed in the ways of material possession to know that the ring was probably important to someone. The only issue was ... who? It felt like anything here could be important. Anything here could be a way out, a way forward, or a way back. It was just a matter of figuring out which it was. Then there was the fact that this ring might belong to someone. Or maybe even belong to Sable. That in itself was an odd question to think about. "What do you think we should do with it?" he asked. He assumed they should keep it. He didn't think he should point it out, since he had no intention of leaving yet ... but what if it was one of the ways out of here? mintedstar/fur it's been over a month since you replied I'm so sorry KFJDKDK) Mei paused, considering his question. She frowned, turning the ring around in her hand, feeling the same dull ache of pity, and curiosity, for whoever had lost it. Had they been a miser, attached to it simply for its sale value? Or had it been an heirloom, passed down from person to person? A wedding ring, maybe? “I’m going to try to find who owns it,” she said finally, looking up from the ring to fix her gaze on the bridge of Newt’s nose to give the illusion that she was looking him in the eye. If he was surprised by her decision, he wasn’t alone - she’d hardly known the words were going to come out of her mouth at all. “Do you want to try, too?” she offered, still fiddling with the ring as she spoke. “I can go on my own, if you’d prefer.”

ᴄᴏɴɪ﹣ғᴇʀᴏᴜs: Ignis Scientia trudged down the silent hallway, the only sounds being his footsteps on the carpet and the occasional thunk if he happened to accidentally kick or brush against something. He mostly tried avoiding any contact with the items on display, as he'd had a few unsavory encounters with them, but sometimes it was unavoidable since at this moment he was very deep in thought. Ignis already knew this place was strange and functioned beyond the limitations of reality - or at least the reality he was used to - but the man of science was puzzling over the fact that his former travelling companion had completely disappeared without sign or warning. He was conversing with them one moment but then in the next, they had vanished. Ignis heaved a sigh and rubbed at the wrinkles forming between his eyebrows, finally looking up to try and push the questions form his mind. He looked up just in time to catch slight movement in his peripheral vision. He pushed his glasses up on his nose and looked to the side, raising an eyebrow after laying eyes upon a snake making its way through the debris.

KuragehimeArin blanched as she got another plume of dust in her face. Eugh - whoever Sable was, they obviously didn't do cleaning. (Ha, now she was an expert on clean? Getting out of a forest could do that to someone.) And evidently none of the occupants of the 'museum' (whatever that was - was it some kind of tavern?) cleaned their rooms either. Alright, the first thing she'd do when she got back to her room was to give it a good dusting. If she was stuck in here for a bit, she might as well keep it clean. It wasn't as if her life was at stake now. The snake gave a hiss of laughter. This entire 'not being chased to death every day' - that, she could get used to! She continued bumping into random scraps on the floor, rustling wrappers as she went. Her slithering wasn't quite skillful yet - ugh. Hopefully no one had noticed her.

Spinel followed the Count, surprisingly taking her time instead of bouncing ahead or something. Her gaze flicked around every few seconds, trying to take in every detail of her surroundings. “Gee, I guess.” She shrugged absently, letting her thoughts wander for a quick moment. Truth be told, she was already aching to get back. What were the Diamonds thinking? Did they miss her? She was already missing them a bit. Say, what if they forgot about her? The gem felt a small pinch of panic, before brushing the thoughts away. She shouldn’t make assumptions - of course they would miss her. ‘Course. She stopped a moment later, glancing over the vase with a slightly curious expression. The gem nodded slightly in response, before asking in a blunt sort of tone, “What’s it do?” (It's cool! <3) Kuragehime The Count stared at Spinel for just a passing moment before covering his mouth with his hand as he let out a delicate chuckle. "This vase? Well, it can do a few different things," he started. He reached out and delicately traced his gloved fingers along the smooth surface, eyes widening a bit when it appeared that the design seemed to ebb and flow with the movement of his hand. Shaking his head he brought his train of thought back to answering his companion's question. "Some argue that a vase like this is just for display - to set atop a pedestal like this for one to gaze upon and appreciate from afar. Or, you may fill it with water and place a bouquet of flowers inside to brighten up a room or cheer up a loved one," Saint-Germain went on, a gentle smile coming to his face. Spinel listened almost quietly, rocking on her heels slightly as she glanced at the Count steadily. Her gaze moved to the vase with a small raise of her eyebrows, however, as the Count’s fingers traced along it. She wondered if she could change the design- maybe put a small hello on it? That would be interesting. “D’you think there are flowers here? What types?” How would a flower even be able to grow in the museum? Where would it get sunlight? Then again, it wasn’t as though the Garden had much sunlight, and plants thrived there for a while. The gem continued, a slightly intrigued gleam entering her expression. “Or water? Maybe there’s a fountain somewhere or somethin’?” (Sorry it took me so long to reply!)

<Raintalon>Huh? Newt hadn't expected that reaction at all, she was right. He looked at her, hesitating. She wasn't meeting his eyes, but then again, he wasn't trying to meet hers. He couldn't read her. She was offering someone help without even knowing who they were. She'd done the same for him. Newt wasn't sure what to make of that, but he nodded slowly. "It might lead me to what I need," he said softly. "I don't see why I couldn't come along. If ... if that was alright." His eyes shifted over Mei with hesitation. "How do you purpose to start?" He wasn't even sure where they were. How would Mei go about finding someone?

His breath was coming in gasps and he kept having to hold it to remind himself that he didn't actually need the air to breath. Or whatever this place had if it wasn't oxygen. Rudy had been doing something with chalk, but Conan hadn't been paying attention until he had called out. It was only then that he turned around and hurried back to where Rudy was standing. Miraculously, there was a circle in the air. Something that he had done with his chalk, no doubt. It was an escape. Conan didn't have time to ask questions, like Rudy said. He didn't like trusting something he didn't understand, but he jumped. He just ... jumped. (Short reply, whoops.)

mintedstar/fur(Hey! It's been a while- so sorry! How have you been?) KuragehimeRobin nodded, her face growing grim for just a moment. "Unfortunately fighting is something I've grown accustomed to," she sighed. "Hopefully it won't come to that too often." With a quick glance around before hurrying a few steps to catch up to Snake, she followed him down the hallway. "You've gotten close? What do you mean by that?" Snake slowed for a minute, glancing at the striped snake on his shoulder. He nodded slowly as he listened to the hissing before speaking. "Oh, well we've found clues around when we were in a group, so we kind of assumed we were getting close to finding what we needed," he translated. "So we have an idea of what we're looking for, says Emily."

(Oh my gosh, I know! It's pretty difficult to get things to a tutor too.
If you ever need/want me to look over anything, I will!
Also, I have no idea what platform your school uses, but mine has Canvas and there's this thing called NetTutor that's really helpful. I don't know if that's offered for you. Of course there's always the free addition of Grammarly, which helps with the basic grammar stuff.)

I think it does! Because I remember that it was co-hosted by Blackboard! I'm just not sure how to get there with your formatting.)

He figured it was, and now that that was out of the way the next big question was whether it was 'just visiting' like him or if it was spawned by the museum. Always one to rather be safe than sorry, Ignis unsheathed one of the daggers strapped to his side. He hadn't been in this museum for very long, but even still he had encountered his fair share of strange occurrences and sounds.

"Oh, I suppose there may be a possibility of flowers existing in this space. Perhaps in another vase in another hallway... or, we could strike gold and discover a room with an entire field inside," he said with a lighthearted chuckle. He quickly glanced up and down the hallway. "As for water, I thought I heard what sounded like a stream just before I met up with you... but I have not yet been able to locate it."
