Alice took seat about three or four feet away from Erin on a different rock, as they seemed to be scattered here and there. She made sure to sit in a modest way, one that would be appropriate for a lady who was wearing a dress. "I don't know what princesses you have been around then. I'm a lady, not a rich brat. Although, it's not just princesses you know. I've seen a couple of very prideful princes that I've had to dance with other eat dinner with." She informed Erin. Some princesses were rude, and some weren't. It merely depended on how they were raised, same went for the princes.

Erin nodded as he listened, he didn't try to come off saying all princesses were like that, it was just with his luck it would be someone like that. "I'm sorry to have come off like that, I guess I had figured that with how things go for me you'd have been like that. But I'm glad you aren't" He said as he gave a smile, he really was happy she wasn't some snob who expected everything to be done for her. "Can I ask you something? Have you ever heard of the stories, between our people?" He asked curiously. The stories were few, and very old. But they were still around and he figured it would be a thing that would be appropriate to bring up at some point. The stories were more of old times when they were equal and lived in unison and there were no problems. He didn't know them by heart but he was sure he could find a book about them when they had gotten back to the house. It would be something they could go over together, it would be cool to see how it would change how they saw each other

Alice thought for a moment before responding to Erin. She focused her attention on the other side of the river, face emotionless, "Well it's sort of odd to describe it. I was told stories, of a kingdom who used to live deep in the woods, away from most people's eyes. That they were filled with evil beings and cruel people who were greedy and had dark hearts. One day, they came into my kingdom and killed off many of our people. My ancient kingdom had very little soliders after the attack, so to fight back would be suicide. Instead he sent up a prayer, and the next day, the evil kingdom was flooded. It killed everyone there, and afterwards, once the floods receded, trees and plants of all kinds started to come up; making a barrier between my kingdom and the other one if they ever turned up again." Alice was starting to get the idea that this was that wicked kingdom, but with less evil people. However, they were obviously cruel enough to not be heard from by her lands. If this was the kingdom the story spoke about, she couldn't say she would be surprised. Or were the places reversed?

Erin listened to Alice intently, he loved hearing the stories but that wasn't at all what he expected or remembered. "The stories I had heard were of a peacefu time. Before any disagreements..... or wars." He stated as he looked into the water, trying to imagine what it would have been like. Clearly if there was a war, or at least a battle, his side must have lost. Look at where they lived, and the struggle they were going through now just to survive. He didn't want to argue the point so he didn't say much after that, he wanted things to be in good way between the two of them, and talking of a bad time between their people might lead to arguing, which I'm sure they could agree neither of them wanted. After a couple moments of silence he looked over to her, "Alice, I need to say sorry, I had thought you would be the worst person to be around, if I'm honest. I thought you were going to be rude and anything but polite, but you've proven me so wrong, and I appreciate it." He said and gave her a smile

The stories were going to be different, she knew that. It wasn't hard to imagine why, considering their cultural differences. But the question was, which story was right? She would like to believe it was her's but who knows. It must be another one of those things lost to history, changing each time it was passed down if ever so slightly. Alice wasn't going to talk about it though, it made her want to go home again, or grow slowly angered. She wasn't about to do that around Erin. "Well, I'm not going to be rude towards someone who has treated me with kindness despite the current situation. That's why I don't like your brother." She gave a small smirk. But Alice was neither fond nor looking for a quarrel with Ethan.

"Cut him some slack, he's not known how to be like me, we were raised almost separately until our parents... left, yeah they left." Erin said, clearly they hadn't just left. He was still in denial about the fact that he hadn't seen them since he was young. "He didn't get to learn manners from my parents like I did, he was raised with another family, one that wasn't so polite. I wish I could teach him differently but it's already stuck in his head to be the way he is." He gave a shrug before shaking the thought "but we shouldn't talk about such sad things" honestly he didn't like to talk about that kind of stuff, it didn't help him in any way, he struggled with things enough as it is.
(We should get things to me more up and not so sad?)

(We could have them walk down the river more and then the whole thing of her pushing him in? He'd take it as a joke for sure and then they could go on with that)

Alice could understand why he didn't want to talk about that anymore, but obviously he wasn't coming up with any ideas to change the subject, so perhaps she should. Alice moved closer to the water, and moved quite a bit closer to Erin. "Have you ever swam in the river before?" She asked, a playful smile on her face. She fought hard to keep herself from going red when she realized how close she was to Erin. But that won't be for long, the river was only about a foot away. If that. "Can you swim, I should ask." She corrected herself.

Erin smiled as he looked at her, she clearly had something on her mind so he intended on figuring it out "I swim here most times I come, yes" he said and looked her up and down trying to figure out what she meant, there had to be something seeing how her face had went red. "Why?" He asked curiously afterwards before biting his lip. The last thing he would expect was for her to ask if they could swim considering what she was wearing but he didn't rule it out as an option

{Of course he wouldn't rule that out} "that makes this easier then." Alice grinned and she leaned towards Erin, almost like she was going to kiss him - she would vomit if she ever had to - and without hesitating, put her hands on his shoulders and pushed him backwards into the river below them. She grinned as she watched him fall back. Once Alice heard the satisfying sound of Erin hit the water she started laughing, the first time she's done that here as well.

(Well she'll be swimming regardless xD)
Erin was confused as she approached, unsure of what she was planning. As she got closer he raised an eyebrow "you don't think I'm going to-" he was cut off mid sentence when she pushed him, that was somethinf he hadn't expected from her, surprisingly it wasn't. As he hit the water he tried to catch himself as soon as he could and stood up after a moment of being under water as he came back above he gasped for air as he wasn't ready to go under. After catching his breath he began to laugh and looked over to her shaking his head "ohhhhhh man ypu made a mistake" he said as he climbed out of the water. He walked towards her slowly with a devilish grin on his face, clearly coming to get his revenge. As he got close he wrapped his arms around her waist and slung her over her should and made his way back towards the water

Alice had stood up when he came back up for air, and continued laughing until she saw Erin start to come towards her. She raised an eyebrow this time out of confusion as to what he was doing. "Why is tha-" She asked before getting cut off when he picked her up by her waist, "Hey!" She asked with a smile and giggled at the same time. "What the hell are you-" her question was answered though when he dumped her in the water and went in with her. She couldn't help but let out a shriek and when she came back up, she took in a large gulp of air. Her short hair was tangled now and in her face. Alice pushed it away from her face and looked at him with disbelief before she started to smile again

Erin laughed as he dove into the water with her slung over his shoulder, before he could went under he took a deep breath. He came back up moments later laughing hysterically. He splashed her with water before running his hand through his black hair to get it out of his face. "I told you, you messed up" he said with a chuckle before letting himself sink so far as the water reached his neck. The water was cold but not too cold, just enough to keep you cool.

Alice ran her hands through her hair multiple time to get it out of her face, and at least somewhat organized. Although it didn't seem that the latter of the two was going as planned. "You can't tell me you didn't enjoy it." She chuckled before splashing water back at Erin since his face was low enough to hit with water. If he had been standing, he would have been too tall. "You know it's funny." She smirked before using her hands to try and ring out her hair with her hands, though that wasn't doing a whole lot either.

"I can do nothing but agree," Erin replied with a smile "it was very nice, and quite funny." He added with a laugh "but, the funniest part was your face just before we went under" he joked with a smirk. He was happy she pushed him in, it made things better for them, not so sad. He was without a doubt very grateful for that. "But thank you, Alice, for... pushing me in the river" he laughed after saying that, as it sounded very funny to say.

{It's all good} Alice rolled her eyes in mock annoyance at Erin's comment about her initial reaction. She wasn't a fan about those sort of comments, but she wasn't about to act offended by it. Being in the water though, did lighten the mood a lot. And Alice was glad she came up with the idea. Her favorite part was when Erin thought she was trying to come in for a kiss. If she truly was, she would have been more subtle about it, to the point he wouldn't even had known what happened that lead to it. "Maybe you were the one who got hit on the head." She teased Erin, remembering their earlier conversation with Ethan.

"I'll admitt, you got me good." Erin stated with a smile "I totally thought that you were-" he stopped mid sentence, his face a bright shade of red. He didn't know if she wanted to make it look like she was leaning in to kiss him, and the fact that he thought she might genuinly kiss someone like him made him feel even more embarrassed.

{My God she's oblivious} Alice gave a small chuckle along with a small smile. "That I was going to kiss you?" Her smile turned to a broad grin revealing her white teeth. "What, did you want me to?" She asked, obviously joking. She didn't think he had any feeling towards her, besides that she was nice and polite, and somewhat fun. But he was that too. He must have been embarrassed to think that someone like her was going to kiss him. Even if he seemed to deserve a nice girl, she obviously wasn't the type Erin was looking for. If he was even looking.

(It suits her though xD)
Erin instantly went red, in some weird way he kinda wished she would have but that would only ever happen in his dreams, if that. He knew she was joking but it still made him embarrassed. "No totally not." He said and shook his head childishly, though his facial expression was quite serious. He was trying his best to make it look believeable althought it was very much a hard lie to believe

{At least I'm doing something right lol} Alice couldn't suppress a laugh when he spoke. His bright red face was probably the best part. It was either the water, or he was embarrassed by the thought of kissing her. "Am I that bad?" She asked, still teasing. She wasn't very concerned what his answer was, they were supposed to make fun of each other in a friendly way. Alice stopped laughing and seemed to think critically before nodding when head, "I probably am." She smirked, so Erin could see that she was merely joking about her conclusion.

(That's for sure lmao and sorry I had to bus home)
Erin, hearing her laugh, didn't get any more confident with himself. He listened as she talked and smiled but wasn't sure of himself. "Well I wouldn't say you're... bad." He said and glanced at her "I'd use a different word, but I'm not sure what that would be." He explained with a smile, his face regaining it's normal colour." He knew she was joking, but he figured it might be nice to say to her, hopefully make her smile at least. But he wasn't too sure

{It's fine } Alice scooped some water in her hands, and made it into a sort of cup before squeezing her hands together and aiming the water at Erin's face. She grinned as she did so and then put her hands back at her side, "You're sure I'm not 'bad'?" Alice chuckled as she started to circle around him in the river, trying to be prepared for him if he decided to tackle her for her antics.

(Cool thank ya ) Erin sorta growled at her taunting, "I'm not so sure now" he said with a wink before splashing water towards her a few times, only acting as if he weren't going to go after her and tackle her. But maybe after the fourth or fifth time he decided to lunge in at her, but the water slowed him immensely.
