(We could skip to the next day? But we should have something happen between them that makes things different you know? Like if we have something that makes them become friends or something to make them closer. If that works for you? Make it harder for him to follow orders from his leader who I'll bring back in at some point to make some drama)

(Maybe if she showed a sort of compassion towards him? Or like tries to befriend him? That kind of thing. He cares too much about those close to him so it would help in the meantime lol)

(For sure yo ) The next day Erin woke up he immediatly got dressed and made his way to the house Alice was staying in. The way they had left things off yesterday made him weary of what he were to say or do while she was around. He knocked on the door, signalling he was there before he opened it up and made his way inside. He hoped things would have settled between them "I hope you're hungry because I was told to make you breakfast" he said with a chuckle as he went towards the kitchen

Alice had not gone upstairs to bed last night. It was paranoia that prevented her from doing so. Instead, she fell asleep on one of the chairs in the dining room. It was the most uncomfortable place to sleep in, and she wouldn't wish it upon anybody. On top of that, Alice didn't get much sleep either, she was surprised she got any to be quite honest. However, Alice was a light sleeper and woke up once she heard a knock on the door. It would be hard to make herself lot dignified with no means to do it, so she just smoothed out her hair and stood. She was expecting it to be Erin, and was quite right. "Oh, thank you. Is this only for today or no?" Alice hoped it wasn't, she no idea how to cook anything in the first place.

"Well, your royal highness" he began as a joke "I'm told to be looking after you like I do my kid brother so whatever you may need I'm to help you as much as possible" he said and gave a polite smile "what would you like for breakfast?" He then asked as he got the cooking supplies out of the cupboards and placed them on the stove

it made sense in a way, she can't do much herself. Alice had book smarts, not street smarts. As most royals do. So for her to be taken care of like his brother, whom she assumed was about the same age as her. He looked about the same age anyway. She wasn't sure whether to take that as a compliment or not so she decided not to comment. Alice did give a small smile though, something Erin had not seen on her face yet. "I'm fine with anything really. Whatever is easiest for you." She offered.

"Honestly, I'm not good at picking a food" he said with a laugh "so eggs and hashbrowns are the first thing that came to mind so I hooe you're okay with that" he said and smiled back. Seeing her smile seemed to get rid of the tension a bit between them which he thought was nice "did you sleep well?" He asked knowing she probably didn't sleep much at all but figured it would be nice to ask

Hasbrowns a small eggs...not her usual breakfast. Her meals were often lavish and made by fine chefs, that will definitely be one thing she will miss. Along with her bed, clothes, jewelry, dog, family...and everything else essentially. Erin's question pulled her out of her daze and she blinked a couple times to refocus. "Not very well. If I'm being honest." Alice rested her chin on a fist, yawned, and closed her eyes. Though, she wasn't really asleep in the chair, only resting.

"I'm sorry to hear that" Erin answered as he started to peel potatoes. "Did you use the bed? Or fall asleep elsewhere?" He then asked curiously "oh and my brother should be around today so be prepared. "He's a bit more that a handful" he said with a chuckle. Once he finished peeling he began dicing and then cracked some eggs and began to cook them on the stove "I know you're probably used to more well put together dishes but I'm not exactly a exquisite chef myself" he said with a smile

Alice sat up quickly once Erin spoke again, and she appeared more alert than a few moments before. "I fell asleep out here. I didn't like the prospect of going on the other floor." It meant less escape routes if something were to happen. And while in the castle she was high up, she didn't have to worry about bandits or other criminals breaking in. Well...at one point anyway. At the mention of Erin's brother Alice let out a small sigh. He was quite rude yesterday, and wasn't exactly going to say she was pleased to see him again. Perhaps he would get his act together today. "Oh, you're fine. I'll just have to adjust." She implied to his cooking skills. Alice cleared her throat, "is your brother uh normally rude to others?"

"Honestly, him being his age, he just wants to be funny you know?" He said and shrugged "I'll make sure he figures himself out today so things aren't so rought between the two of you" he added and gave her a smile before he went and focused on cooking. As soon as he was done he put it on a plate and laid it in front of her and smiled again "I hope you enjoy" he said and took a seat by the table. The food wasn't anywhere near as good as she would be used to but it still had a good taste and was cooked well enough

Alice looked down at the food before her and picked up the fork next to the plate to eat small bites at a time. Even as a hostage she would not lose her princess like qualities, which included her table manners. She crossed her legs underneath the table, one over the other like how she normally sat and mixed certain foods with others on the plate according to her preferences. "Thank you. To both things I mean." Alice will hope that he fulfills his promise to keep his brother in check. Erin's brother isn't any younger than Alice is, yet she could keep herself in check. Perhaps it was because he wasn't raised in a castle like she was. "So how long have you been doing...this?" She indicated his whole kidnapping job. If that was even his job. He could just be doing it this once for the money.

"Of course, I'd like to keep things well between us... well as as good as they can be considering" Erin said with a sigh "well I've never done anything like this, if I'm honest. See I just do what I can to help me and my brother Ethan survive. I was approached the other day and offered food and a house once this was over if I were to do what I did. Sadly, you were who I was to take. I don't mean to be offensive saying that but more it's unlucky you are who you are. But seeing how it is I'd like to try and keep things calm between the two of us you know?" He finished speaking as Ethan had came in the door
"Hey Erin!" He said cheerfully as he came in. "Oh... you're still here." He said almost sounding surprised almost sounding saddened to see her still there
"You watch your mouth, Ethan." Erin chimed in quickly "she deserves as much respect as you and I, don't forget that." He said afterwards to the younger
"I'm sorry" Ethan apologized almost instantly, knowing he would need to listen to Erin without hesitation.
"That's better" Erin stated, the cheery tone of his voice coming back

Alice knew it would be essential to at least try and stay on her captor's good side most of the time. He might just sympathize with her and help free her. Though, she wasn't sure if he would fall for that. Erin may feel bad, but obviously not bad enough to put her before himself and brother. Which made sense. She was going to reply, but that was when Ethan came through the door. Alice kept a glare from narrowing her eyes and merely clenched her jaw slightly as she kept her gaze focused on Erin. At least he reacted, it showed he was making an effort more or less. "Thank you." Alice nodded in acknowledgement. "But back to what you were saying: I understand your reasoning for doing what you did, there was a great reward for it. But it must have rubbed your morals the wrong way did it not?"

Ethan disregarded their conversation as he walked over and took a seat "did you make me some?" He asked with a smile.
"Not now, Ethat." Erin snapped quickly "I'm talking to someone." He said before turning back to Alice. "Yes, of course it did. I didn't have a choice though, we need the rewards we'd be getting out of this." He said with a sogh before he sat down as well and looked over to Ethan again "grab a plate and serve yourself, I wasn't hungry anyways."
Ethan got up quickly with a nod of his head "thank you" he said quietly before going and grabbing some food for himself and sitting down again. He begun to eat quietly, it was the only time he was ever quiet so Erin had known to value it at this point.

Apparently for some, the reward outweighed the moral factor when making a desicion. But if she was as desperate as Erin was, she supposed it was understandable, and was almost horrified she found it to be so. "I see." She paused for a few moments before speaking again. "If it is to the both of our benefit that we act..." she tried to think of the right word, "civil towards one another, then I believe I can agree with that."
{>.< sorry, it's short. I'm busy}

(No worries ) Erin nodded in agreement, what she said was very true and it would help the both of them if they were civil. "You're right. I'm sure it would help a lot" he said and gave a polite smile "Are you kidding me?" Ethan asked with a laugh "I doubt you'll get along with my brother." "Give it up" Erin responded, his face going red. Ethan was right, Erin never really had people around that he got along with. More just people he'd need to work with. "You know I'm right"

Alice had enough of his little brother at this point. He was rude, obnoxious, had no filter whatsoever, and never seemed to help the situation. She didn't glare, but it was obvious she was angry. "If you have nothing to say that will be of use to anyone, then don't say anything. I would assume you of all people would know when to speak, and how to. Considering you're related to this man." She motioned to Erin. Ethan was certainly less thoughtful about his words than his brother. And although they were different ages, he should know when to speak especially when they are in the financial situations they are. It would be in his best interests to know what to say if he planned on helping Erin earn any money.

"You should listen to her, Ethan. I'm doing this for us and you know that, don't make it harder for me and maybe I won't be so tough on you" Erin said sternly as he looked at Ethan
"I'm just being honest, you don't have friends, right? There's gotta be a reason." Ethan replied quietly hoping for the best.
"I have no excuse, you're right. I might not have friends but I have to look after you, that's hard enough as is, adding friends would be a little much." Erin replied before looking over to Alice "I'm sorry about my brother, he's a little wrong in the head"
"Hey!"

Alice held back a laugh at Erin's comment about Ethan's wellbeing. She knew he was only teasing, and assumed his brother knew too, but it was funny nonetheless. "I don't think you're wrong." Alice played along. She smirked as she said so, figuring that was the best way to keep things lighthearted. "He looks a little funny too." Alice grinned, the first time either of them had seen her smile. Hopefully they didn't think poorly of it.

Ethan sat there pouting as they made fun of him, arms crossed.
"I'm pretty sure he hit his head too much as a kid, actually I know he did. It was my fault" Erin teased before looking at Alice. Seeing her smile was nice, he felt better and like it wasn't exactly like he had kidnapped her, more they were friends. Not to mention he thought she was very good looking, which didn't help him at all.
"Whatever." Ethan said, his face scrunched up clearly angry at the two
"I'm sorry, did we hurt your feelings?" Erin asked with a smirk on his face

Alice was still smiling until she saw the angry look on Ethan's face. She went back to a more calm expression and cleared her throat. "My apologies. I seemed to have gotten carried away." She messed with her food some more, not exactly eating, but decided not to leave it there either. At least she was doing something. Hopefully Erin wouldn't find it disrespectful, that was the last thing she wanted to do while being held captive.

"No need to be sorry, Alice. He'll be alright" erin reassured as he rested his arms on the table.
"I hate you." Ethan responded. He clearly wasn't serious, he was more infuriated at the two for making fun of him.
Erin cleared his throat and glanced down at Ethans food "if you aren't going to eat it I will" he said to Ethan, who quickly begun eating quietly again, the look on hos face went back to normal as he ate. He was just happy to have food to eat again.
"Alice, maybe we could go for a walk soon? I'm sure you'd rather not be pent up in here all the time" he offered, his voice shaky. He wasn't used to doing things with another person so asking her to walk with him, alone to make things harder for him, was weird.

Alice didn't respond to when Erin said she needn't be sorry. She should be sorry, it wasn't her place to tease him, they weren't friends. And only friends should tease one another in that way. Erin's proposal to go for a walk though did cheer her up a bit, and was quite greatful to hear the offer. She did not want to be locked up in this cottage for who knew how long. "Yes, that would be quite nice actually. Being stuck in a cottage is much different than being stuck in a castle." Because in a castle, at least you had things to busy yourself with.

Erin was glad to hear her respond well to the walk. He knew she'd most likely rather go on her own but he wasn't to leave her side, no matter what. Honestly he thought a walk would be nice, maybe they'd connect better and be able to consider each other something other than what they were, which he still didn't like.
Ethan didn't say anything, just listened. He figured he should listen and be polite but that was something he wasn't good at, so he kept his mouth shut. He would either go with them or follow from afar, he saw something different about Erin while he was around Alice and he didn't like it.
