(I'll excuse Aurora from the kitchen in the next post :3 Alfonse was last running off to remove the demon spitballs from his clothes and rid himself of the germs.)

(It's fine Qtip! Hope you had fun!)
Mason nodded to him. He didn't pick up any sort of amusement or excitement from him, mostly cause he wasn't paying attention so much as he usually would be. "I'm a little surprised this place has objects that I can recognise." He said with a small chuckle.

Alfonse stood in the castle's bathroom, scrubbing his suit with a mixture of soap and water. He had borrowed an outfit of clothes, yet again, so he could clean his suit. As he cleaned, he cursed the demon child in a rather intellectual manner.

(I'm my own party ) Peter returned the magnifying glass behind his back and chuckled, "Yeah. So, were you born a mutant?" He asked quite bluntly. Pandora was still on the hunt for the weapons. The castle knew what she was up to and kept moving and hiding the room from her.Aurora politely excused herself from the kitchen. She was getting worried about Catori. The wolf was acting unusually standoffish since all the people had started showing up. Aurora was afraid that the wolf thought she was being neglected.

Immediately after Aurora had exited the kitchen, Ferra caught sight of her. "Hey!" she called with a small wave. "Um... I need to talk to you about something. It won't take long."

Aurora halted at the 'hey' and turned back to Ferra. "Sure. What is it?" She asked with a smile.

Mason recoiled back at the sudden question. "E-excuse me? Wh-what do you mean mutant?" He asked the boy. He wasn't a mutant. Maybe. He didn't know really what he meant by mutant. His feathers? If so 'mutant' is a very strong work to use.

Nervously, the girl rubbed the back of her neck. "I know it isn't really my place..." she started. "I was out meditating in the woods earlier, and this animal approached me. I'm not quite sure what he would call himself. His name is Kiba, and he didn't have a home. He looked really hungry, and I could tell he was lost. so I brought him back. I didn't sense any bad intentions from him, though. He's relatively young, and didn't have any sort of family or home. In fact, I had to explain to him what family and friends are."

(Peter's going to make a lot of people uncomfortable with that thing, and it'll end in him seeing something so bad he'll scream and toss it.)
Peter frowned, "Hey, I didn't mean anything bad by that. I'm a mutant too, see?" He lifted himself up from the floor a few inches, hoping that wouldn't freak the feathered guy out too much.
(I can totally see Ferra bringing home little lost animals at least every week. XD)
Aurora tilted her head slightly in confusion, "I don't have any problems with that. I'm not going to turn anyone - or anything - away unless they're dangerous."

Slightly relieved, Ferra relaxed and a smile formed on her lips. "I know it must be stressful, having all these people and animals show up suddenly, out of nowhere." She frowned. "It's almost as if a group of people are purposely sending them here through the use of some sort of advanced technology that we don't have use of here."

Aurora nodded in agreement, "Yeah, it's really strange... but I'm dealing with it. As long as everyone is respectful of my home and don't cause me or anyone else any kind of trouble... It'll be fine. I'm just worried about Catori. I'm worried she thinks I'm neglecting her. I haven't seen her around much." She frowned.

"I'm sure she's just bothered by all these strangers showing up." Ferra gave a reassuring smile. "I'll help you find her if you want, though."

"You're probably right. She's always been a little timid. Especially around noise." To Ferra's offer, Aurora returned the smile, "That would be great. Thanks. She normally stays in and around the garden, but she wasn't there the last time I checked."

"Maybe we could go check again?" Ferra suggested, "She's probably just hiding out somewhere." At that, Ferra began to amble towards the door of the castle. "Come on, we'll find her." (I gotta get some rest, I'm about to DIE. good night, guys. )

Aurora followed after Ferra, anxious to find her beloved wolf and make sure she was alright. She'd have to question her, and let her know that she wasn't deliberately spending less time with her.
(*screeches* noooooooooooo ok goodnight ^_^)

(Good night Qtip! Also so sorry for my spoof!)
Mason tilted his head. "But what do you mean my mutant? If you mean cause we have special abilities, wouldn't that mean everyone here is a mutant?" He asked him, still rather confused about his question. It was sudden that's for sure.

(It's ok. I had to poof to, to switch to my laptop.)
"No, mutants are normally humans that have been altered somehow. Usually either through genetic tampering or naturally mutated genes. I'm not sure how many actual humans or human mutants live here now, but there are plenty of non-humans."

Mason nodded, now understanding what he meant. "Oh I see then. In that case, no I'm not natural born." He said then shook his head. "Well I was born naturally, but the feathers and the wings...you can thank the greediness of humans for that part." He explained to him.

"Gee, I'm sorry to hear that... I was technically born with my mutations, but they didn't develop until maybe a couple of years ago, and I guess you couldn't call it natural either. Basically, a scientist was trying to create super soldiers illegally, and when the government found out and tried to stop him, he aerosolized the serum above the city. Only a small percent of the population were affected, but a lot of kids were later born with mutations." Peter explained. He wanted to ask if there were any justice done to the people that made Mason that way, but he decided not to. He could tell it was a sensitive subject.

Mason nodded as he listened. "Don't get me wrong, I like being a crow, it's just the scientists were monsters..." That brought up Amari again. She was taken from the labs by one of the scientist. She thought he was saving her, until she was tortured by him. He wouldn't even let her have a name apart from 'little monster'. He couldn't remember the labs himself but he had heard enough to know it wasn't good. "Two years though, so we're mostly treated equally to humans." He said with a shrug. "What was it like where you lived? I don't think you came from Earth, but you say you're human?"

Peter paid close attention to Mason as he told his story. To his question, he responded, "Yeah, I'm human but I've never been to Earth. I was born in this world, but on a different continent. Arcadia was... great. Or it used to be. Most would call it a utopia, but it was recently taken over by a dictator. For some reason, he seems to really hate mutants. He claimed they — we — posed a real threat to everyone else and started having all of us rounded up like animals. Whoever wasn't imprisoned was executed. The public wasn't really aware what was happening, I think. But my brother had a job somewhere in the government, and warned me what was truly going on. I didn't want to leave... but he finally convinced me to."

"No matter where you go there are always people who hate things hardly out of the ordinary. And they have no problem with killing them." He said, looking down angrily, his arms crossed. He looked up at him and tilted his head. "Do people not stop to think we're still human?" He asked, though it was more of a rhetorical question.

Peter looked uncomfortable, but agreed wholeheartedly with Mason, "I guess not." He mumbled unhappily, "I miss the way things used to be. Until our current leader, nobody really cared that there were mutants. There were a few that didn't like us, but the general consensus was mostly positive. Then, I recently found out that these problems exist here as well. Though, most of the hate is restricted between elves and werewolves, at each other. Humans and other species of this continent seem to get along decently." He shrugged, as if the mention of such creatures were casual and nothing out of the ordinary.

"Mine's the opposite. We started off as the hated. We were the victims of murders, torture, ra-kidnappings and everything else." He stopped one of the things he was going to say, but he probably got the point. "Now things are getting better. We're about all equal now. Of course though there are still problems like how hybrids can have kids with humans but not each other. I could explain why but you probably don't care." He said and tilted his head. Elves? Werewolves? This place sounded like something from some fantasy story book. He then chuckled in his head. He didn't actually chuckle out loud though. "All we need now is dwarfs, hobbits, a wizard and dragons." He said, then frowned slightly as he figured he had no clue what he talking about. "Sorry, it's just a book from where I live. Lived." He corrected himself quickly. He then tilted his head, deciding to try and change the subject. "So uh, how did you know what I was?" He asked him.

"Heh, funny that you should mention dragons. "Peter smirked at his mention of a few of the creatures. What would Mason say to living among them, and having a werewolf for a leader? To the question, Peter held up the magnifying glass, "This." He held the lens in such a way as to allow Mason to see the faint red aura around Peter, "It looks like an ordinary magnifying lens, but it actually shows the true form or nature of people and creatures. Just one of many of my cool toys." He bragged.
