(I was waiting to see if Hawkpaw would be back on, but I guess she had to go.
Quick question, is Mason by definition a mutant? It kind of seems obvious, but I've got a reason for asking.
Sorry you feel bad Qtip ): Just take your time, and hope you feel better soon)

(Hmm, yeah I think you could call him that. What's the reason, unless it's a surprise.)

(My character Peter has a special device that reveals what someone's true species is, and mutants glow a faint red when you look at them through it. >:3 It won't always be immediately obvious what a particular creature is, but he'll always be able to tell a difference between regular humans and everything else. Though with Mason, it'll be obvious he isn't normal. But he won't know he's actually a mutant until he looks through the lens.)

(All of mine are open except for Aurora. Catori is just a wolf, and Mason has already had a run in with Pandora, so Peter would be perfect to RP with. He's got a lot of other neat gadgets too. I wish I had them.)
After plucking what appeared to be a fancy magnifying glass from his bag of gadgets, Peter returned his satchel to the hidden spot in the bookshelf. He tested the lens on himself, just to make sure if was still properly functioning, then raced away downstairs. Regular humans appeared normal, but human mutants appeared surrounded in a faint, glowing red color. He was curious to see how other species appeared through the lens.

(No, not at all! Kiba had already taken off on his own, if memory serves me correctly. My wolf character, Catori, is over in the vegetable garden if you want to have him interact with her. But I'd suggest keeping him away from Pandora for a while. I think I last had her looking for the weapons vault. Let's all hope she doesn't find it. XD)

(Sure, go right ahead! ) Catori sat in the garden, intently scratching at her shoulder with a hind paw. (If I ever have trouble deciding what to have her do, I just copy what one of my dogs are doing. Heh)

(Ah he's so cool Peter.XD) Mason padded through the halls of the castle slowly. Everywhere he want reminded him of the mansion where he came from. His heart ached to return to where he came from, but he didn't think there was actually a way to do so. He would never see his friends again. Even worse, he would never see Amari again and that was nearly too much for him to bear. She was the one to give purpose to his life. He had to stay alive, for her.

I wish I could do that but my dogs don't really do much.)
Kiba was walking around the castle, taking in all the new sights and smells that surrounded him. Kiba smiled and said," Man so many smells of creatures I have yet to meet this place is truly a sight to behold." Kiba then walked into the garden and began to smell the air which was filled with new smells. As Kiba was sniffing the air he caught the scent of a wolf and decided to follow it towards its source. After a few minutes Kiba came across Catori and just looked at her.

(Poor Mason. I know what it's like to be homesick.)
Peter descended the flight of stairs that connected the first and second floors, turned and nearly walked right into Mason. Thankfully, he managed to avoid colliding, unlike the first time he'd encountered the feathered guy. A grin broke out on the young boy's face, "Hi again! So, how do you like it?" He held the lens behind his back, for now.

After a few minutes Kiba came across Catori and just looked at her. (Most of the dogs around here are lazy, but mine is pretty animated usually.) Catori continued scratching for a moment, then stopped to gnaw on her paw. When her gaze traveled and she noticed Kiba standing there, the wolf paused with her hind paw still between her teeth. With an awkward snort and shake of her pelt, Catori stood to her paws and sniffed the air, warily watching the unfamiliar animal. His scent was reminiscent of a wolf, but it was also distinctly different. Catori realized he smelled like two animals at once, and she stared at Kiba quizzically, as if thinking 'what are you?'

Kiba smiled and walked over to Catori and then said," Hello there I am sorry for staring at you miss but it is not often that a run apon one who slightly resembles myself, my name is Kiba by the way." Kiba then bowed his head to show his respect for the female wolf.

(Sorry for the slowness; I'm tending to the dogs.)
One of Catori's ears swiveled back and her nose twitched upon hearing Kiba utter words. It wasn't the speaking itself that surprised her; the wolf herself was able to speak while in the vicinity of her home, but her understanding of language was simplistic and the wolf normally only reserved her two-legger words for Aurora. This was the first time she'd ever communicated this way with another animal, and the first time she'd encountered anything remotely similar to a true wolf since she was a young pup. The she-wolf snorted again and her tail wagged once, "...Catori." She finally introduced herself.

Kiba smiled and said," Well it is nice to meet you miss Catori." Kiba then began to circle around the she wolf and asked," So might I ask what you are and who is your creator?" Kiba asked this because he had never meet a wolf or almost any other type of animal that wasn't made by his creator so this was a new and exciting experience for him

(hiya! ^.^)
To Kiba's first question, Catori answered that she was a wolf. But to his second inquiry, Catori uttered a confused sound and tilted her head at Kiba, "...cre-a-tor?" She wasn't entirely sure what that word meant.

Kiba shock his head yes and said," Yes a creator you know the one who made you. Why do you ask were you now made by an alchemist like me?" After a couple of minutes it then hit him and he asked," Or do you come from this family thing that Ferra told me about?"

Catori's eyes narrowed in deep contemplation, "...fam-ily..." The wolf had been taken away from her pack at such a young age that she didn't even remember them. Actually, she couldn't remember anything before her life with Aurora. Did that mean that Aurora was her creator, or more than likely, her family? To Kiba's questioning, Catori finally answered, "Aurora is family." Yes, that had to be it. Aurora was her family. She had to be. After all, the wolf had seen the girl transition into something like herself a few times. Catori didn't understand it, but had quickly grown accustomed to it.

Kiba gave a quick nod and with a frown said," Well it seems that i am still the only one who seems to be without a family." Kiba then sighed for he wanted a family to call his own ever sense Ferra told him about the wonderful thing during their journey to the paradise he found himself now. Kiba then sat on his haunches and asked," Anyways do you mind telling me what this part of this huge cabin is called?"

Catori seated herself as well and looked sympathetically at Kiba. She'd always felt like something was missing. Sure, she had Aurora, but it wasn't the same as living among her own kind. To Kiba's question, she glanced over their immediate surroundings and back to Kiba, "Gar-den?" She'd heard Aurora call it that a couple of times.

He held the lens behind his back, for now. (Sorry for spoofing!) Mason recoiled from him as he just appeared in front of him from around the corner. As soon as he did he blinked to push back the tears that had started to form in his eyes. He quickly smiled to him and shrugged "It's good actually." He said to him. "Could do with a light clean, but maybe that's just me." He chuckled slightly. That was probably just Amari's cleaning habits getting into him.

Catori was startled by the sudden contact. She stared at Kiba again in a quizzicle manner. Usually, Aurora was the only one that lay a paw - hand? - on top of her head. Was this some kind of normal physical interaction? The wolf wasn't entirely sure. She'd have to test it later on another person, or animal, and see how they reacted to it. She just hoped they wouldn't bite her for it.
(I dunno. Maybe he'd see an aura of her holding a scyth? Anyone is free to have their character seen basically any way you want, but I'm guessing the lens will normally show something pertaining to the character's true form or nature. If they are any kind of shapeshifter, it will show their other form(s). I'm still figuring it out though.)
(It's s'okay ^.^)
Peter frowned slightly. Had he been about to cry? He decided to spare him any embarrassment and pretend he hadn't noticed. At his comment, Peter shrugged, "Eh, maybe. Aurora usually does most of the cleaning." And by 'most', he meant 'all'.

Mason nodded. He saw a lot of similarities between Aurora and Amari. They both were the lonest to stay at the places, they both lived at a large abandoned house that was a refuge to others, they both cleaned and looked after those places. "I should meet this person sometime." He said, then tilted his head. "So what are you up to?"

(Ha, even the names are vaguely similar. Vaguely.)
For a moment, Peter looked like a child that had been caught up to no good, "I'm just... uh... Testing out my magnifying glass." He shrugged again and held up the device, peering through it at Mason with an absentminded expression, Oh! Interesting... Upon seeing the red glow, Peter suppressed a smirk.
