Aurora rested a hand against Kiba’s shoulder, as though in preparation to hold him back from Damocles. “Sword? What sword?” (I’d laugh if it was a red one with gold dragons)
“Taking anything without my permission is stealing.” Loki retorted with a grump huff. Theft was very serious, and one thing that he did not tolerate under any circumstances, not even with his own family.
‘Adrian’ paused. “I… I don’t know. I was asleep, and when I woke up, I was here. I can’t remember how I got here…” ‘He’ stopped to shake 'his' head, wearing a thoroughly confused expression that seemed out of place on a cub.

“Well, we should go get it after we’re able to leave.” Aurora decided, standing to her feet once more. “If it’s left out there for too long, the rain could ruin it.” She was also interested to see what kind of sword would just be laying deserted in the woods.
“I don’t really feel much like myself…” ‘Adrian’ admitted with a sigh. 'He' looked up when someone knocked on the door.

Loki’s features darkened and he strode up to look Morgan right in the eyes. “I do not believe… that you wish to know the answer to that question.” In his eyes was a dire warning, but a hint of a smirk played on his face. After speaking with Hela, he had several ideas on how to make Morgan behave.
“Why don’t we go check, and see if the barrier is fixed?” Aurora asked. She hadn’t any idea that the barrier was accessible once again, and still didn’t understand how the magic worked.
‘Adrian’ stumbled back, gazing up at the figure in the doorway with widened eyes. “Who- What… How?” The cub started over to the teenager, as though totally freaked out to see him. “Summer, that’s not me.” ‘He’ declared.

A young boy with bright blond hair slowly walked up to the clearing. He had a feeling that this was where he was supposed to be. It took him a very long time to find this place, it was actually quite hard. He truly hoped this was his last stop, every time he found one of them was like a nightmare.

(Sorry for the poof, I was letting my phone charge back up) “It is?” As if they didn’t believe it, Skaldi waded through the garden, vegetation tickling the child’s ankles as they brushed past. Skaldi tentatively extended a hand at the far edge. Unlike before, there was no longer a tangible force keeping everyone inside the meadow. A pleased grin crossed Skaldi’s face and they turned back to Alice with a shout. “It is fixed!” With a happy skip and a bounce, the young huldra returned to the cat-girl’s side and followed her gaze. “Have you went there yet?” Skaldi asked, pointing up at the roof. Peter kept close to the bird’s side as they ascended the stairs, ready to catch him at a moment’s notice if he slipped or started to fall. “Alright, um…” The boy bit his lower lip and studied Ibis, trying to determine his center of gravity so he’d have some idea how to carry him, without any strain to Peter’s back or injury to Ibis. “I’m going to come behind you and put my arm around you, to make things a little easier and keep you from falling.” He figured, with Ibis’ timid nature, it would be better to announce his plans first so that it wouldn’t frighten him. “Oh… but who would do something like this to me?” ‘Adrian’ whined again, ‘his’ small ears turned back against 'his' skull. “Not until… whatever that is out there is fixed.” Aurora answered with a sigh. At least no one was trapped outside of it. That would have been immeasurably worse, what with the predators that lurked in the forest. Loki ran his hand through his hair again, issuing a soft sigh. He wasn’t quite sure what to believe, considering that Morgan occasionally kept company with Pandora. At least she seemed more preoccupied with the werewolf pup. “I will… adjust the shield around to allow the three of you. The entry is located on the stairs connecting the third story to the roof,” he paused, eyes narrowing specifically at Morgan, “However… there shall be no more theft.” "O-okay.." Ibis said, grateful for the help. He continued up the stairs, making it almost 3/4ths of the way before crying "I-I can't go any farther... It hurts..." he said, pastel purple tears starting to splatter to the steps below. |

Loki couldn’t help the scoff that left his mouth, although it wasn’t meant to be mean. “Birth-day? What use do we have of those when we live forever?” His eyes were teasing as he asked the question. He knew that people of Earth celebrated the day of their birth, and knew now that Morgan was hidden there for part of her life, so of course she would have adopted some human traditions. Still, he didn’t see the point in it himself.
Pandora, for the moment, remained trapped in the form of a baby black bunny. At this point, she feared that she was doomed to the form forever. The last time the trickster had transfigured her into an animal, it hadn’t lasted as long. She never considered that the length of time may have had something to do with the reason Loki changed her in the first place. Telling Raja what she had, had been a very unwise idea.
“Oh, yes!” Skaldi gave another enthusiastic nod. “There is another garden there! It is small but growing.” Indeed, following Cloud’s advice, Aurora had taken the steps to planting a separate, larger garden on the castle’s roof to make use of the space. Most of the plants had yet to reach maturity, but it was beautiful and pleasant nonetheless.
After stopping momentarily to check on the condition of Berserker, Aurora proceeded after Kiba. She doubted the barrier would have reversed the problem so quickly. Still… It was worth checking out.
Peter sighed. He was afraid of this. “I’m really sorry, I know it must hurt. I…” The boy paused to lightly bite his lip, pondering the situation. If only his brother was here. He was sure Icarus would have no problem helping to lift the creature. “Alright, try to keep as still as you can. I-I’m going to try to pick you up. I’ll be as gentle as I can, but try not to panic, so I don’t drop you.” After a few calming breaths, Peter carefully wrapped his arms around the lower part of Ibis’ body and used all of his strength to lift him. He was… surprised. Ibis didn’t seem to be as heavy as he’d anticipated.

Ibis looked up at him. "I-I'm not too heavy, am I? I'm sorry..." he asked, as he gently wrapped his wings around Peter's neck. Despite feeling so sickly and cold, his body temperature was still a bit higher than a humans, so he was radiating warmth from the soft feathers around Peter's neck.

Morgan rolled her eyes and sighed. She wasn't surprised by Loki's answer. "Just... whatever. Not like you'd care about it either." She muttered and went invisible again, though this time to hide her slight disappointment and tears. Sometimes she really hated having been raised on Earth.
Runa blinked utterly confused, "What's a birthday?" She asked while standing up.
Raja just shivered because he didn't have good memories of other's birthdays. |

The warmth was a little surprising, though Peter supposed a lot of animals gave off extra heat. It was certainly the case with Adonis. “No, you’re fine. You’re actually not as heavy as I thought you’d be.” Peter very carefully ascended the rest of the stairs and headed for the infirmary. Once there, he gingerly sat Ibis on a bed. “Lay down and rest if you want. I’ll look around and see what I can find to help you with.”
Aurora shook her head at Kiba’s words. Honestly, there were much better ways of testing the barrier than with someone’s skull. She hoped that Berserker would be alright… As she went outside, Catori finally got up and hurried after her and the others.
Loki could feel the hurt rolling off of Morgan’s words, but he hadn’t a clue how to handle it. For an immortal, there was little point in celebrating one’s birth literally every year. Not only was it pointless, but he saw it as a tremendous waste of time, and a little silly. “It’s a human tradition. On Midgard, the day of one’s birth is celebrated every year with much noise and sweets and reveling.” An eyeroll accompanied his explanation to Runa.
“What… What kind of spell? It’s not going to give me a second head or anything, is it?” ‘Adrian’ looked a little worried. (Gonna wait for Cam’s reply, lol)
