Peter noticed that Cosmos was acting... well, strange. At least in comparison with what he'd saw of the bird so far. He turned to Alice with a frown. "What's going on with him? Is this normal?" The boy asked as he watched the bird fly around while making loud chirps.
Aurora paused by the entrance to the kitchen and peered in. At first, she assumed a bird had flown in through a window and found itself trapped; until she zeroed in on the bird's appearance and realized it was unlike any bird she'd ever laid eyes on.
(Well Morgan, now that you're thinking about it, they kind of have to. At some point. XD)
Hannah cast one last glance at the castle before leading the three into the woods. The sun had dipped a little lower in the sky and the light was no longer streaming down from overhead. That was good, but it also meant there would be less light left. "I'm not coming back till tomorrow, and it's going to be dark in an hour or so. Several have pointed out how dangerous the woods are, so I mean, if either of you want to stay behind." She let the offer hang. "I shouldn't have slept so late. Sorry about that."

"Hmmm," Alice walked over, tapping her chin. "Cosmos is usually quite hyper, but he's only really acted like this if he sensed something was happening." She shrugged as if it was no bother. "Last time he acted up like this was back on earth during a solar eclipse. So I'm sure it's not a big deal." She turned her head towards the entrance of the kitchen, where Aurora was standing, smiling in greeting.
Cosmos stopped middair and looked at Aurora for a moment, sensing no danger from the girl he flew off again and stared out one of the windows; as though he was expecting something to happen outside. The bird could feel it, in the unstable air.

"God my mom would like I have a fever with how nice I am being to people I have started calling friends." She thought and accidentally shared the thought with Hannah and Lachy. "Let's just get to your RV contraption before any creature finds us." She added aloud. |

Lachy followed after them with a smile. When Hannah spoke he shrugged. "Ah it's okay, don't worry about it," he said happily, then tilted his head. "I'll stay, but only if you're sure it's no problem," he added, blinking. When he heard Morgan's comment in his head, he chuckled, but didn't say anything. Obviously she hadn't meant to actually share that thought with them.

“I see… Hopefully it’s not anything bad.” Peter heard the light shuffling of someone very quietly stepping into the room and turned his head, “Hey, Aurora.” Peter greeted with a smile. His earlier, almost sour, demeanor quickly dissolved when the teenaged girl entered the room. They’d known each other the longest, and were essentially adopted siblings by this point. “This is Alice, and her bird is Cosmos.” The boy introduced.
Aurora blinked and tore her gaze away from the brightly colored spectacle flying around the kitchen. “Hi, Peter.” She dipped her head at Alice and Cosmos, “Nice to meet you. I’m Aurora.” (I’m about 90% sure that Alice and Aurora haven’t met before this point, but if you remember differently, I’ll edit my post.)
Hannah merely gave a shrug and a nod to what the two of them replied with. She ‘heard’ what Morgan said but decided not to comment on it. Since Fenrir was the girl’s uncle, that meant that Hela was probably her mother. How very interesting. Hannah was in full agreement to what Morgan said about getting to safety before a creature found them. The memory of the fleshgait-like being was still fresh in her mind. She suppressed a shudder. Of all the types of monsters, it had to be that one. She glanced over at Lachy, “No, I don’t mind either of you staying. I’ve got spare beds for guests. I’d offer my room to one of you, but my animals stay in there, and they can get a little noisy at night. Especially the rodents,” She paused to take a breath, “It’ll be a little cramped compared to the castle, but at least there’s electricity.” She found herself thankful, for probably the one thousandth time, of investing in a pair of decent solar panels at the start of her travels. A brisk wind caught her neck from behind and a chill traveled up her spine.

Alice nodded briskly when Peter introduced Aurora. "I'm Alice. It's nice to meet you." She greeted in a polite tone before her gaze locked on Cosmos. The bird was definitely acting rather different, his chirps started to sound like a screech of alarm. The bird's gaseous body was emitting an omnious glow and it seemed to be trying to grab the three's attention to something. But what? The bird could sense the surroundings begin to cool
(I'm pretty sure they havent met before X3 though i could be wrong XD)

"I've always had them. Why I've always disliked going into any situation that might involve fighting alone." Claudia said softly and chuckled. "But lately the visions have just been of my baby boy. The main reason I know it's a boy. And he is always ready to protect this castle and everyone inside it. Even Loki." She added and sat her tea cup down.
(Eek!! Im sorry! I didnt see this post until i was reading back XD) Athena let out a sigh, she knew being immortal meant that she will see the passing of those she knew; but it still made her heart ache. She suppressed a smile, "It's heartwarming to know that he will be ready to protect." She raised a brow when Claudia mentioned the trickster. "Loki? I'm sure I've heard that name..." The Goddess began to think, she has heard a few rumours of other gods and goddesses of other myths. But very rarely, the gods and goddesses on Olympus didn't really mention other mythologies often. |

She asked to quickly clarify what her confusion was about. As for sleeping arrangements she'd probably just shift into her wolf form and sleep on the ground with Aura.
"Norse pantheon dear. He is known as a trickster god." Claudia explained softly. |

Lachy slowly nodded. Okay then, we'll he knew the forest wasn't safe, so he'd stay. He then smiled. Of course, the pets. He was interested, excited even to see her variety of different pets. If he could of course. Even if it wasn't for the pets, he wouldn't take her offer of the main room. He chuckled slightly. "Electricity. I bet that's nice to have," he said jokingly. He didn't comment on it being cramped though. He'd lived in a caravan with three other people for two years, and he'd gone on multiple camps where he slept in one tent with five or six other boys. He never got bothered by tight spaces.

(Sorry for the late response. My laptop fried and it’s been hard to keep up with just a phone.)
Aurora walked over to the bird. She only had experience with keeping a wolf, and when Catori acted that way, it usually meant she needed to be let out. “I think Cosmos wants to go outside.” She suggested.
Something about the bird’s behavior was really beginning to make Peter nervous. He wished he had some way of contacting his brother, and the thought brought a frown to his face. As overprotective as Icarus was, why hadn’t he made sure they would have some means of communication for whenever Peter came to the castle? It didn’t make sense. Peter was brought out of his thoughts when Aurora presented the question. He shrugged and looked to Alice.
Far above the castle, an invisible energy began to circulate in the sky. The clouds began to spiral around like a whirlpool. Lightning cracked along the edges. A small opening began to form at the center, slowly growing in diameter, darkening in color until it was pitch black.
“I have two solar panels on my roof. They collect energy from the sun and convert it in a way that gives my RV power. It was expensive, but worth it.” Hannah explained to Morgan, “And yeah, it’s very nice to have. A lot of the places I traveled to didn’t exactly have a place to plug into. Somebody recommended a generator, but those are really noisy and use gas. Solar panels are better for the environment anyway.” After a lengthy walk, the RV finally came into view. It rested in an empty clearing, a fraction of the size the one the castle was in. The large, black Arcanian ship sat on the opposite side of the clearing. To anyone that didn’t know better, it almost looked like a triangular UFO. No doors or windows were visible. Though they were essentially neighbors, Hannah and Icarus kept to themselves and usually didn’t talk to each other. She was still convinced that he was an alien.
(Ok, Dark. We can do the plot as soon as you get back.)

She did learn a lot the few years she had been in human school, just with everything that had happened after she has turned 10 made it easy to forget those first years of her life. |

Lachy couldn't help but laugh. "We used a generator when we travelled, I hated how loud it was, but it became white noise soon enough," he said. He wouldn't really recommend having to drag a heavy genny everywhere. He then smiled. "Though it is handy when you have some rather...troublesome neighbors," he added, jokingly giving an evil laugh.

"Oh," Athena said with a simple shake of her head. "I should of known." She tapped the table with a finger, stating. "Apollo did tell me before I left that there might be other... higher beings if you get what i mean." The Goddess responded with a chuckle. -- "Maybe," Alice nodded, although Cosmos wasn't like any other bird - perhaps some time outside might do. "What do you think Cosmos?" She turned to look at the bird who was still letting out chirps. After a moment without a response, Alice capped the bird between her hands to stop it from flying off. "Oh come on, I'm sure it's nothing dangerous." Though a question of concern did rise, what exactly was the bird suddenly so panicked about? (I imagine Cosmos' origine form to look similar to this:  Size comparison wise, i would say one of its feet/talon is about the size of an adults head XD Also, itll look slightly different when controlled by the restrictors.) |

“Oh? I bet that was fun.” Hannah said with a slight laugh. There were plenty of times in her life in which she had very noisy, super annoying neighbors. She wondered how they would have reacted if she’d ever fought back with that particular brand of noise. A smirk came to her face as she recalled a ‘music war’ she had once. The neighbor kept switching between explicit rap and death metal, and she fired back with very loud dubstep. She won, of course, and the neighbor ended up turning his music down. She’d never lost a music war. After fetching a key from her pocket, the RV’s door was unlocked and opened. The nearest light was flipped on a second later, and she moved aside to let the others into her home. The RV was neither messy nor immaculate. She kept it reasonably clean, but didn’t think it necessary to keep everything perfect. A steady scratching noise came from her closed bedroom door.
Aurora felt no sense of danger from the innocuous looking creature, but Peter was growing increasingly nervous. He knew how potentially dangerous Cosmos truly was. There was really no telling what the bird was doing, or why. But perhaps… it might be safer for the castle residents if the bird was outdoors, rather than indoors. The boy cautiously tread over and opened the nearest kitchen window. “Maybe he just wants some fresh air or something…?” Peter said with a shrug. It sounded dumb when spoken outloud, but it was the only thing he’d managed to think of.
(Pretty!)
(Wolf: There’s something big about to go down in the clearing, and people will be hurt. You can either have your character join in the fight, or keep him inside the castle where he’ll be safe. I have a few characters he could interact with inside.)

"I think maybe he needs a little more space to fly about?" Alice replied to the other two, looking down at Cosmos. The bird tore it's gaze from it's owner and had a worried expression on it's face. Alice turned towards the entrance of the kitchen, as if she was going to walk out. She then turned, to see if any of the two were going to follow.
Several moments after the portal tore open in the sky, cosmic dust slowly seeped out from the void like opening. It densed and swirled, forming a swirling vortex of ionized gases.

Athena perked up curiously. "That's strange... do you think you know what they might mean?" She asked, tapping her chin lightly.

Aurora agreed with what Alice suggested about the bird. After plugging a fruit from a basket, the elf girl decided to follow her. Out of curiosity, Peter did the same. Little did either of them realize what they were about to walk into.

Once Alice reached the outside of the castle, she walked out - her back was turned to the swirling vortex high in the sky, she didn't notice. Cosmos suddenly began to freak out and let out a high pitched shrieking sound, but still sounded somewhat like a bird whistling.
The vortex of dust stirred, changing colours from reds to purples to blues and even greens.

Aurora was the first to notice the swirling vortex of colorful space dust. She stood, totally transfixed by the sight. It was breathtaking and unlike anything she had ever glimpsed. She had no idea that there was any kind of danger.
Peter noticed Aurora staring upward at something and followed her direction. Upon noticing what was falling from the big hole in the sky, he blanched. “Uh… Alice?” He nervously pointed up at the swirling cosmic dust. It suddenly dawned on him that this was very, very bad. He recalled what the book said and his eyes went wide. They had to get Cosmos away from it. The boy raced toward the bird in an attempt to capture it.

Dannie, who had mainly stuck to being outside, hasn't noticed the object in the sky but instead he was watching the people who had come outside with a glimmer of curiosity in his eyes. He carefully approached them and decided to see what the oldest of the group was looking at and looked up final. He did find it unique butt something about it seemed wrong.

Before Alice could react, Cosmos let out a screech as it was suddenly pulled out of the air by Peter. "Peter! What was that fo-" Alice exclaimed before turning to see what Aurora was staring up at. Her eyes widened in awe and fear and her mouth gaped. It couldn't be... could it? But here, why now? She didn't seem to notice the person nearby.
A few moments after Cosmos was captured by Peter, the bird shreiking fell dead silent; as though nothing was alive anymore.

Peter stared uneasily at the bird in his hands. "Cosmos? Are you alright?" The boy asked, an edge of fear coloring his tone. He didn't want the dust reaching the experiment, but he also hoped he hadn't accidentally harmed the creature in his effort to restrain it.
"What is that?" Aurora asked no one in particular, her eyes never leaving the shifting, swirling space dust. It was both beautiful and haunting. Should they be alarmed?
