Here we are! Smokey Feather Ashen "Ash" Debochos
This young man stands at 5'5, with darker olive skin that's clear of any sort of scarring or blemishes. He's more or less thin, but not so much as he could be called slender. Long arms attached to wide, but small shoulders. As far as his muscles go, Ash had a fair amount. Neither muscular or bare, probably enough to go just past lean. To match his darker skin in a mane of long, dark ivory hair that goes well past his hips. Usually he'll keep it tied back in a ponytail, or even braided in a bunch of tiny braids. He prides himself on the upkeep of his appearance. The only things unappealing about the darker male are his eyes. Or his lack of them. Having a pair of blue-grays upon birth, but Ash's father removed them as soon as he left his mother's womb, a family tradition. The Debochos Family removes the eyes of their newborns so they can't see emotions or souls, and be affected by humanity. Yet, each and every one can... sense. Ashen usually wears shades or bandages to hide the sockets while in human form. While taking animal shapes, he's unable. For other clothes, he'll usually wear a t-shirt, jeans, jacket and a beanie with his half of the yin-yang symbol on it in the shape of a koi fish. And his hair will be put into one long braid. Around the massive set of land owned by his family, Ash likes to wear casual robes or simply walk around in just pant, with most of his hair down except for a portion held up in a smaller ponytail.
Ashen is that kind of individual who much prefers smaller crowds and activities, always managing to get angered or annoyed when dealing with huge numbers of people or attending massive events. When he does talk with others, it's with a smooth, almost velvety voice. Preferring to watch and assess others in social activities, it's on the difficult side to start conversation with him if you aren't apart of his family. If you do, he's rather unwilling to go into too much detail. However, if you manage to get close to him, he can prove to be quite relaxed and accepting. Ashen does keep some things from his family though, like the fact that he's gay. You're expected to produce children if you're inheriting a whole clan, a position he doesn't want to lose just yet. Still, he loves his family and cares for them fiercely, like any leader would his people. And, he fits the position perfectly, only needing to inherit the title from his father. Extremely smart, a born strategist, he knows how to run whatever group he's put in charge of. It leaves little time for him to have fun or experience something entertaining. On those rare occasions one sees him having fun or being playful, it's something you'll never forget. As said though, it's rare, because he usually ends up being the mother that cleans up after the messy children. Tired and annoyed. To summarize, he's a grump that means well.~~~~~ cιnnaмon roll Aurion (Pronounced like “Orion”) “Auri” Gwynn
Auri, as far as looks go, can often be described as slender and delicate. He isn't very tall and is fairly short, standing only at five foot three. With little to no muscle, he's thin and lean, and is as light as a feather. He has rather small hands for a man, narrow hips and a heart-shaped face. His lips are thin, his nose and ears small, but his eyes are unusually, almost shockingly, wide and round. They're the most noticeable part of his face, being a vivid golden brown and framed by light, long eyelashes. Auri’s hair is actually a dark, reddish-brown, and although most people believe it's dyed due to how different it is from his lighter eyebrows and eyelashes, it is natural; he keeps it just a little long, curling just beneath his chin. It's a wild, curly mess that he often tries too hard to tame. His skin is as pale as snow and covered in freckles, except, oddly enough, for his stomach. Auri is extremely self-conscious about it, but he sports a rather noticeable gap between his front teeth, so he often tries not to show them when he smiles, which is very difficult, since he tends to have rather toothy grins. Auri loves wearing baggy clothes, especially sweaters and hoodies, particularly a red one he's had forever and refuses to throw away, no matter how many holes it has.
Auri is a little timid, at first glance. He's easily intimidated by others, especially when they are taller than himself, but he has a hard time keeping his mouth shut and often causes trouble because of it. He's talkative, but speaks in a rather quiet voice, unless he's laughing (his laugh is surprisingly loud); he isn't shy, exactly, but more socially awkward. He’s calm and doesn’t have much of a temper, though he tends to lose his cool under pressure or when stressed. Playful, tricky, clever and compassionate are also words that describe him well. He loves jokes and goofing around, is incredibly intelligent, but most of all, he loves to help others. Not mention curious; his curiosity is another cause for all the trouble he gets into. Auri can be a little too trusting and naïve. For someone so smart, he's careless about who he trusts. He likes to believe everyone should be given a chance. He can be quite sensitive, too, as well as emotional (and he certainly does not cry during sad movies).

》Ooo, that could work. And maybe they come from two different families of gods/deities who've never gotten along much? Maybe they went to war once/betrayed each other/have extremely different values/etc. and that's why they don't get along. I love plot discussions. :3《

cιnnaмon roll(I like that idea ;v; Maybe they're the most powerful out of their families, like children of the corn prophecy? Their parents want to use them to make their respective families the ruling class of the world, so they're constantly trying to one-up each other or butt heads?)

》Pfft, children of the corn. xD
I'm really loving this idea. So two god/deity families who hate each other, with our characters being the strongest and best of them all. Sounds great to me. I'm assuming their powers will be opposites, like light and darkness, considering the Yin x Yang title.
Also, where would it take place? And how would it start off?《

cιnnaмon roll(For powers, yes they'd be opposites, or at least somewhat. Shapeshifting will be a given for both. However, I'd prefer they'd take to their symbol. Yang would take form of animals with a white body, black eyes and a black dot on the forehead. Yin would take form of black animals with white eyes and a white dot on the forehead. For respective powers, here's some that will be exclusive to Yin. Maybe you can build off of this?? ;3 ~Shadowmancy ~Necromancy ~Geomancy (earth manipulation) ~Cyromancy (ice/water manipulation) ~Audiomancy (sound manipulation) ~Telephathy ~Enhanced senses, speed and strength (More will probably come into play as the rp goes on, but this is just what first came to mind ;v; As to where it would take place, would you mind something modern?)

》Oh, I love the shapeshifting details. It sounds so cool.
As for Yang's powers, I'll try to keep them as directly opposite as possible and I'll probably think of more:
- Photokinesis (Light Manipulation) - Pyrokinesis (Fire Manipulation) - Healing Abilities - Clairvoyance (Slight Future Sight) - Aerokinesis (Air Manipulation) - Enhanced speed and hearing
-Regeneration Modern day is perfectly fine with me. C:

》I hope this is okay! Sorry it's a little long.《
{{ The sun was blazing in the bright blue sky, not a cloud to block any of its harsh rays. It was an inferno outside, so hot that, even from close up, the heat waves from the pavement and parked cars were clearly visible in the air. There hadn't been any rain in days, nor did the forecasts call for any within the next week, and it was starting to show in the way the plants had begun to wilt.
Auri, unlike the majority of the town's population, didn't mind one bit. He was crouched to the side of a restaurant building, scraping out dirt with his hands to form a tiny little hole. There was a wad of dirt in his lap, just a hint of green peeking out through it. "It's hot, hot, hot," he hummed very softly to himself, digging a little longer before collecting up the dirt wad. It was a tiny, wilted little flower, almost dead and pathetic, its petals fallen off. "But you're gonna be alright, alright? Because Auri's gonna take good care of you, of you, yes he is.~" Patting the dirt down, he cupped his hands around the flower, humming. When he moved away, it was a beautiful pink lily, in full bloom.
In a neat row across the sides of the building, as well as the two buildings down the street, there were neat, little rows of plants in bloom everywhere. Flowers, shrubs, trees, you name it. The other side of the street was dead and barren, though, as Auri hadn't quite gotten to it yet.
Auri dusted off his knees, wearing khaki shorts, a blue tank top and a wide-brimmed straw hat, though strangely, no shoes. He stood up to admire his work and couldn't hide his smile. "All my lovely flowers, such lovely flowers," he sang quietly, then strolled leisurely to the road, looking both ways cautiously. It was a habit he didn't need, but it had rubbed off on him. He'd live if a car hit him, but it would still hurt. His parents were going to be furious when he got home-----they thought he was in his room, studying, though he'd left hours ago. Auri was tired of practicing and studying.
You have to be better than him. You can't let him be better than you. He was sick of hearing, at least he'd heard enough for today. Making sure the plants were okay in this drought was much more important, hands down, no matter what they said. }}

cιnnaмon roll(It's fine :3) Of course there was to be no rain there. His father commanded it, deciding that the humans didn't need his clouds that day. Clouds were water, after all. And poor Ash wasn't allowed to make any of his own, even though he had the power to create catastrophic storms to shame the brightness of the scorching sun. Oh, what he'd give to sit out in one of his mother's rainy days. She specializes in calmer weather, while he and his father were experts in killer storms and tsunamis.
Deciding that he'd had enough of his father's complaining, Ash left the massive Debochos property, heading out to the common town. Dressed in casual wear, with his favored beanie, the shorter figure had made a trip into the busy area, ivory coils tamed to a large braid and shining a little under the sun's glare. Looking around, he could sense the death of plants, smell their despair as they wilted and died. Snorting softly, he pushed his shades up his nose slightly as he passed by it all, only slowing when he heard a voice among the busy town. Hearing it many times prior was what caused Ash to recognize it at all. Turning his head, his brows bent slightly as he picked up on the vibrating aura of Aurion. The eyeless male couldn't recall all of the countless times his father said whatever negative comment about the other individual. Having nothing else to do, Ashen followed. And, he made sure to touch that lily as he passed, sapping up its energy as it decayed so much that it turned to dust.
After another minute or two of walking, he finally sped up to catch up with Auri, saying as he slowed again to keep pace "Helping a few lilies and daisies is below you, isn't it?" Shouldn't such a being associate himself with much more challenging tasks? Watching (as much as an eyeless being could) the other do such things was amusing, almost increasing his degrading thoughts of Aurion, brows bent in thought. It wasn't like the plants would last long even with the revival, in the monstrous heat radiating from the sky like heaven's fire. Briefly glancing up, his shades glinted in the sun as he picked up on the flaming vibes. Too bad he couldn't see squat. Looking back down, his head tilted as his "gaze" turned to Auri yet again. He'd reached again and allowed yet another plant to crumble under his rather gentle fingers, saying as he pulled back, rubbing plant dust between his fingers "I thought you'd be back at your Happy Farm. My mother tells me you have prison wardens for parents." Scratching his chin, he awaited response, Ashen having nothing else, or better, to do. Plus, as much as they butted heads, Auri was sometimes the only sane (but annoyingly happy) one around.

{{ Death. Auri felt the tiny flare of life fade from the lily before he ever saw Ash, before he had even spoken. He felt it like a stab to the gut, the way it just-----disappeared. Like it was never there to begin with. "It is not below me," Auri hissed quietly, watching in a mixture of irritation and sadness as the plant crumble against Ash's hand. "Plants are as much living as you and I."
He reached out the ruined plant, trying to heal it, but it was too far gone this time. He couldn't bring back the dead, even if it was just a plant. At least, he had never really tried. Necromancy was Ash's territory; the very thought of it unnerved him, he who cherished life so much that he would spend his time saving plants from a drought. "Leave my plants be, Ash. They've done nothing to you."
As for his parents, he would never use the term prison wardens. It was a bit too harsh. They were strict and old-fashioned, was all, and they wanted the best for him. Even if it didn't always feel like it. "My parents believe rules should be followed, not spat upon," he replied, sticking his nose up. "At least mine are not heartless heathens."
"Now begone with you. If all you came to do was destroy my friends, I'll have none of it." Auri crouched back down, continuing his attempt to revive the other plants, this time doing more than one at once. They sprung to life, sprouting leaves as green as emeralds and petals like rubies and sapphires, so vivid and lovely. }}

cιnnaмon roll "I really doubt that," he said with a raised brow "Plants are nothing compared to even a human. You and I? Each of us will grow to dwarf the population of China." He couldn't hide a small, dry smile as he sensed Auri's distress over the dead plants. "Sometimes I wonder how loud the sound will be, when you pull your head outta your a**." When response of his parents came, Ash tilted his head "Rules are not such if your parents already have you on a leash by your nads," Ashen said simply, crossing his arms over his chest. When the other insulted his own parents, "Yin" went quiet. However, his anger was not absent. Every plant within a mile radius wilted and died as his brows furrowed deeply, nearby people pausing to wonder what was going on, as they all started throwing up and staggering. Even birds dropped from the sky in their death.
Crouching so he was level with Auri once again, he spoke lowly "At least I didn't actually pull out an insult, jughead. Surely your parents can repair you if I rip off your ears, hm? Or cause that handsome face of yours to rot something awful." He reached a hand, and flicked Auri on the side of the head, before snapping his own fingers. The plants then sprung back to life, but not nearly as well as Aurion earlier restored them. "Yang" could put them back to such a state on his own. Also, the people nearby seemed to recover, but were spooked and shocked from what they'd been put through, all squabbling around and yelling about going to the hospital. Still watching Auri, Ash merely stood up and crossed his arms over his chest, informing "I've got nothing else to do, so you're stuck with me for now, flower-loving fool."

{{ "Without plants, there would be no people. Without people, our existence would be meaningless," Auri countered, his face flushed a bright, angry red. Such-----such vile, filthy terms Ash was fond of using, the kind that made Aurion's face go hot. He had never been able to swear well; it always sounded unnatural and out of place on his tongue.
But that was nothing compared to what Ash had just done. Auri made a choked noise when the plants wilted, when the humans coughed and heaved, reeking of sickness and death. He instantly regretted his choice of words, and even as Ash restored everything to a decent state, he was still horrified. He had barely flinched when Ash struck his forehead. "Leave them alone! Do with me what you will, but do not be cruel to them," he cried, leaving Ash's side to tend first to the people. He could feel their illness washing over him, foul and bitter, replacing it patiently with something sweeter and brighter. The plants took less time, more full of life now than ever before; sadly, he could do nothing for the birds, who died long before they hit the ground. "Bored or not," Auri spat, shaking and stressed, adjusting his hat with trembling hands. "I do not wish for your company. Go bother someone else, so I may love my plants in peace."
Auri hated being in Ash's presence for many reasons, but this was the biggest one. He was cruel to all the things Auri loved; he didn't hesitate to cause them pain, even when they were innocent. It was so-----so absolutely and completely infuriating. He could never keep his cool around the other deity. It was pretty much impossible. Auri took a couple deep, steady breaths, then headed off down the road, arms crossed with an unhappy frown. So much for enjoying his evening. }}

cιnnaмon roll"Do to you what I will, hm? If only," Ashen spoke with a single, dry laugh. When Auri complained and whined, he couldn't help but frown. The frown was also contributed to by the people recovering. What a pity. It would've been nice to feel them suffer. Sighing, he changed shape. His skin darkened to fut, nose becoming muzzle. And telepathy helped too, to keep his preferred form away from human eye. Now walking with Auri was a massive ivory lion with a white moon on his forehead. Those famous white eyes were lacking though, replaced by white stains on te fur around his sockets like tear trails. (Here's some of what he'd look like x3) "I have no one else to bother," the lion spoke with that smooth, semi-baritone voice of his, muscles rippling beautifully as he gracefully stepped in pace with Aurion once more.
"You dislike my being," Ash stated the obvious "If I could comprehend the means to change that, I really would, but you must understand why I can't." The eyes. His eyes, which his father still had on display with the other pairs of all his family from the beginning of their time. If Ashen dared even get close enough to touch the display case, he'd be severely punished. It was forbidden for the Debochos family to have their eyes. Seeing humanity would make them weak to the charming nature, make them not want to handle their death and keep balance. It sounded dumb in some ways to others, but the family didn't care. They couldn't miss what they never remembered having. Ash sighed, tail swishing a few times as he went silent again. A minute or two passed before he continued "I bet what your family has told you makes you not even consider doing more than tolerating me." Of course each family has told vile and horrifying lies about each other to their spawn, so they'd want to hate each other. Ash disliked Auri's family greatly, of course, as he assumed Auri disliked his own.

{{ Auri hardly reacted to Ash rejoining him in the form of a majestic, lovely ivory lion. The king of all the predatory cats here on this little planet he called home. Though he much preferred the cheetah, as quick and swift and lethal as it was stunning and absolutely breathtaking. Still, despite the pleasant choice in forms, he barely glanced at him. Perhaps to save himself from the sight of those missing white eyes, the mark of the Debochos family. It always made him shudder. "I do not enjoy your company, that much is true," he mumbled, remaining as he was. Shifting was something he did rarely, for he loved resembling and mimicking the appearance of humans. How beautiful he found them, he could not describe. "But it is because of your lack of compassion that I dislike your being. You do not need to see to feel it."
Aurion's family was far from perfect, far from being without any flaws. But they were not the same as Ashen's, did not share his sense of meaningless pain. "They have told me of your cruelty. All you ever bring is despair," he answered, looking up at the sky. The further they walked, the more it smelled of decay. Tiny flowers sprouted where Auri walked, however. He was playing some form of hopscotch, the flowers forming lovely patterns. Doves and kittens and people. "How you have no love for mortals. No mercy. You punish them unjustly and severely. Why can you not love them as we do? They are beautiful." }}

cιnnaмon roll "Indeed you do," Ashen corrected "If you are of my bloodline. Being born with such blood and abilities already hinders our capacity to even feel compelled to snile. Without eyes, none of us can see the souls we handle. Can't see the beauty you claim they have. Can't see their smiles, their grief. Their love. We simply can't mimic it like you can, Aurion." That was true, whether the Debochos family liked it or not (which they did.) If they weren't blind to humanity, they wouldn't want to enforce death, and humans would just do as they wish, think themselves even higher than they already did, false gods.
"Mortal souls are limited. They'll only live not even the tiniest fraction of our lives," Ash said simply, looking ahead "Why can we Debochoses not love them? They are flawed. Evil. Incompetent. Vile. Impure. Naive. Insolent. Primitive. They're obsessed with sex and drugs, and kill each other every day. Even my family doesn't do that. Aurion, they are the most disgusting and vicious creatures I have ever seen, and you know that's true, even if I didn't use such harsh words." Silence claimed them again for a moment before he continued "It is their destiny to wipe themselves out, they're so bloodthirsty. A species with such intentions deserves to be taken away. It is the job of my family to punish them, as no one else will, because we're the only ones who can see the truth behind their charming veil."

{{ "Sight is not everything, Ashen. It is not," Auri insisted stubbornly, persistently. He would love them whether he could see them or not. "Can you not hear the beauty of their hearts? Feel how precious their lives are, how sweet they smell and wonderful their laughter can be? Why must you limit yourself to only the beauty you can see?" The Gwynn family had raised him to treat all living things woth great care, to handle them with gentle touches and warm words, for they were fragile. They were taught to find the good in everything, the loveliness, to look past all the mistakes. It was not easy, but it was far from impossible.
Ash's words struck Auri straight through the heart, like a sharp knife in the back, because the truth was often like that. Painful and unpleasant. He found himself frowning, lip quivering, as much as he tried not to let it. "Their lives may be short, but they burn bright," he whispered, picking up his pace. This conversation made him upset and unhappy, both of which were hazardous, though in the opposite way of Ash's anger. The wildlife was growing rapidly, so thick that it was soon to become a jungle, the grass up to his knees. "We are all flawed. Even you and I. I know they are corrupt, they are greedy, they are violent-----but not all of them are. I brought a little girl into this world and she was precious. She was tiny and cute and perfect." Auri's volume was rising, just a little, his voice strained and rough. He stopped and turned around, fists clenched. "And five years later, you stole her away from her parents. What had she done? Tell me, Ashen, what did she do to deserve it? Or the boy who drowned in the lake? The man who died in a fire? Not everyone is evil!" }}

cιnnaмon roll "Hearing and smell mean nothing in comparison to sight. Your precious humans are damned to an early death without eyes, and scorn themselves for it. Become bitter." He snorted, shaking his feline head as he continued "I can hear their insults and cries of vicious intent. I can feel their hate and dark thoughts of murder and violence. I hear and smell better than you, so I'd know. For every good thing you manage to conjure up in their defence, I can think of two bad things." The Debochos family raised Ashen to know about what humans simply were. Vicious animals. They were not humanity's creators, but they were in charge of their punishment. Their consequences. Bad souls deserved punishment. Humans deserved punishment."Their so-called brightness merely secures what they deserve," he decided "With their brightness, comes their unneeded preening, displaying and boasting. And so we snuff their light and put them in their place." The lion sighed when the grass grew tall. Not fond of that, he changed shape again. Tall, long legs stepped forward, easily towering above Auri as an ivory Shire horse. White dot on the forehead, but again lacking eyes, only those white stains coming from the sockets as tears. (Here) Walking with the same grace, he spoke "She was going to develop cancer at six, and die anyway. She felt nothing when that car hit her." That little girl... Ashen could still remember her wide eyes as he warped her fate, the car zooming in and smashing into her fragile body. He remembered talking to her soul, remembered her asking where she was. No answer was given, only him taking the little girl to the gates of heaven, himself not being able to go. Only the Gwynn family could access such realms. And the boy... er... Ash wasn't going to admit he did that for "fun." Sighing, he said "I never said they were just evil. They're weak and slow. He deserved death if he couldn't get out in time. Survival of the fittest is the motto of the human species, after all.""Defending them does nothing to sway me," he decided flatly "They're much too damaged to ever seem appealing to me. Monkeys are more civilized than them."

{{ Auri could defend them for ages, and he had before, but no matter what, he knew he could never change Ashen's mind. Could never open up his heart and make him feel what Aurion had been feeling since the day he'd been born, wrapped in love and warmth and the sweetness of joy. He could not make him love, for love could never be forced, only given. Love was the one thing in existence that could not be achieved through evil or malicious means. "But to dwell on those dark things is to live in misery," Auri said weakly. "It's better to look past it." Auri felt small, insignificant, in the shadow of Ash's new form, though he did not back down and did not flinch.
Cancer was one thing Aurion despised with all his being, such a horrendous disease. Such an awful curse. "I held her in my arms when she was born," he whispered, tearful. He would not cry in front of Ash. He wouldn't give him that satisfaction, didn't want to hear his teasing. "And the way she laughed and smiled at me was the best thing I've ever felt. Humans may be doomed, but until you've experienced something as pure as that, you have no right to speak." Auri wiped viciously at his face with his dirty hands, eyes stinging and smearing mud across his cheekbones. Curse his stupid emotions for making him weep like he was still a child. No doubt Ashen would mock him for it.
"And this is why I hate speaking to you," Yang muttered, sniffling quietly. "All you ever want to talk about is death and sin. Go away and torture someone else." }}
