Adelaide glares at him, hating that he just had to bring it up. She stands again, slowly walking up to him and raising up to her toes to get right in his face. "I don't appreciate such a condescending tone." She tells him, her accent rather thick now.

Viktoriya followed his meaning except for not recognizing any of the animal terms he used except "wolf." She could assume that he was drawing some kind of predator versus prey connection though. Once she had pieced together his meaning, she found the information fascinating. "How you became shifter?" she inquired.

Adelaide looks like she's fuming at this point, almost growling as she quickly steps away, not wanting to get in trouble for hitting him. "I didn't ask for this!" She snaps at him.

"Nothing, I've done nothing." Adelaide stands with her back to him now, she wonders if they tell the soldiers anything because this one seemed so ignorant. "I was taken away from my family, taken from my older brother, who would do anything to protect me and because of that, that's why I'm here." She doesn't realize that she's been rubbing her wrist the whole time, right where a faint scar happens to be. The girl looks over her shoulder, glaring at him still. "What did you do to get yourself stuck in here?" Not meaning her cell, but the RedKingdom base in general.

"You're stuck." She says it simply, like she already knows this. "Loyalty aside, if you ever did want to leave they wouldn't let you. I'll assume your a good soldier; let me guess, your father was also a soldier and you were conditioned to think this way growing up because he was your biggest influencer." Adelaide gives a chuckle, shaking her head. "You're all the same, almost everyone who works here has that same story."

Andrew briefly wondered how Adelaide knew the stories of other RK soldiers. Had she made these sorts of conversations routine? "I'm here because I want to be, not because I have to be," he snapped. "And anyway, I have a good life here. You could have too, if you would have joined. They would have taught you how to harness and use your shifting abilities."

((So, Rainy. It is very possible to leave the RK, and Adelaide definitely did something to end up a prisoner. Maybe she simply was careless with her shifting and made her neighbors nervous, or she instigated some sort of confrontation which was used as an excuse by the RK. They don't take you unless they have reason to believe you're a threat.))

Louis edged his way towards the window and looked out at the sky. The hawk in him was beginning to get nervous from being inside for so long. "I don't know," he replied honestly. "I'll probably stay for as long as it's safe, until people start to notice me. Then I'll look for somewhere new."

(gotcha gotcha. but in Adelaides mind of course she thinks she didn't do anything wrong, as far as she knew she was just taken in because she was a shifter and not because of something that she carelessly did. Which was probably her and her brother just messing around and shifting whenever and wherever)

(Hnnng I might lower her age to make sense with the timeline of the war and ideally how I want her life events to pan out with it. So might lower her age down to 23(if that's alright) and say she was captured when she was 14 or 15)
Adelaide could feel the tears forming and she bit the inside of her cheek, hard. She didn't want to cry in front of this soldier, she didn't want to appear even more weak. "Home." Her voice is shaky. At this point she didn't care about the war, she didn't care about sides, she just wanted to be with her family. Unfortunately, there was no escaping the war.

Adelaide was about to ask why he cared, but he was asking her about it and no one really asks her about it. "Colmar, France." She says quietly, seeming to be less defensive now.

Andrew relaxed a little, seeing that Adelaide seemed to have calmed down a bit. "I've never been to France," he said. "Is it nice there?"

(Colmar is close to Germany, so it's very possible that's the base they're in)
She's backed up until she's leaning against the wall now, staring at him. Adelaide gives a gentle sigh, running a hand through her hair. "It's beautiful, especially in the spring when the flowers begin to bloom." A small smile tugs at the corners of her lips, her gaze casting up to the ceiling. "I miss the smell of them, always so sweet."
