(Assuming this is where I put the form) User Name- Tangleclaw Name- "Cato" (Simon Killian) Age- 33 Gender- Male Birth Country- United Kingdom Looks- Tall, thin and gaunt, with piercing blue eyes, Cato is hardly a prime physical specimen, but makes up for his lacking strength with incredible cunning. His garb is a white lab coat over a simple black shirt and trousers, with black boots, and his blonde hair is short and neatly kept. Personality- Ruthless, cunning, and thouroughly underhanded, Cato heads up what remains of Infinity Circle, an organization dedicated to the creation of 'enhanced humans', either with or without the use of Shifters. Cato is a firm believer in the use of technology as his greatest weapon, making extensive use of drones, automated units, and satellite systems to spy on and eliminate his enemies wherever they hide. He is dedicated to his cause, and will go to any lengths to achieve his goals, regardless of whatever the RK or WK may do. SS or Human- Human RK, WK, or Ignorant- RK Philosophy-wise Past- Cato, along with Manfred and Thorne, his closest allies, formed Infinity Circle in the wake of the third war, although the organisation is far from its former glory, with most of the members either dead or imprisoned. Other- While an independent power, Cato and what remains of Infinity Circle are known to work with RK in several areas, given the organisations having similar outlooks. Think of Cato as a contractor they hire for their dirty work.

((A person!
Normally it would be fine to start Rping without approval, but with the introduction of something like the Infinity Circle it's good to run it by the veteran members first. I myself am fine with it, particularly if the organization is more or less disbanded, just so things don't get too crazy with the human enhancements. Also, as far as connections with the RK, the RK would definitely keep very close tabs on their experiments and the enhanced people that may result from them. We'll see what Dawn thinks when she gets back, but for now you're good to go. Welcome!))
Schreod ran a hand down his face. "Were they RK as well?" He was vaguely aware that he might be being invasive with the questions, but at the moment he didn't particularly care.
Kurt drew Destiny slightly away from his chest and looked into her eyes. He was vaguely aware that she'd said something, but her words echoed almost noiselessly in his ears, and he blinked uncomprehendingly. Finally things started to come back into focus, and his instincts kicked in. "I'm going to keep you safe," he said, and turned right around, lurching to his feet to head back to the panic room.

((Hm, on reflection, Tangle, I'm gonna have to correct you on the outlook of the RK—experiments to enhance people is pretty contrary to what they're normally about. They're all for understanding shifters as well as they can so as to keep people safe from them, and teach them how to use their power safely and productively. For them it's all about control and security, and if they're endorsing such a program as the one you describe, it's to make sure that things don't get out of hand.))
For a long moment he just scratched his bearded chin, eyes distant. "If one of them had betrayed your trust," he said slowly, "and gone to join the WhiteKingdom... what would you have done?"
Kurt held on tight, determined not to let go until she was safe. Memories tickled the back of his mind, but he refused to give them the time of day, fearing that if he turned his attention towards them even for a moment, he would be lost to them. Destiny needed him.
The dust was beginning to settle a bit, and he knew what that meant. Heart pounding, he picked up speed—and his foot caught on a large chunk of tile protruding from the floor. He managed to twist his body on the way down so that he landed on his back, clutching Destiny to his chest and covering her with his arms as much as he could. For the briefest moment he simply lay there, winded, and realized that the ceiling he was staring at was crumbling above him. He released Destiny and pushed her along the floor, shouting, "Move!" as he himself began crawling forward, desperately trying to get out of the range of the debris. Destiny was almost entirely clear of it, and so was his upper body, but when the ceiling did come down, it landed straight on his left foot. An unearthly scream tore out of him, and he forgot how to move, forgot how to breathe, forgot everything but the pain.

Archer shook his head. "None of them would have betrayed me," he said. "Two are dead, and one is who knows where. We all shared the same outlook. Why would we betray each other?" Or at least that's what he thought. For he knew, there was no reason for anyone to betray him, unless he had angered someone who wanted revenge. That was more likely than his surviving brother to turn on him.
~*
Destiny cried out when Kurt tripped and fell, pulling her down with him due to her grip on his shirt. Tears streamed down her checks. She couldn't stop them. Everything was being destroyed around them, and the smoke was making it hard to breath. All she wanted to do was curl up and hide from it all.
Yet she couldn't do that. Kurt pushed her from him, sending her stumbling a few steps forward. The girl obeyed him and ran a couple of feet forward, but then she stopped. She had no idea where to go. Shaking, she turned back to look at Kurt at the same time the ceiling collapsed. The scream that filled the air was enough to terrify the young girl into freezing in her place. It was a good minute before she rushed back to the man.
"K-Kurt!" she shouted, stopping next to him. Destiny knew she needed to get help, but where was help? She barely knew her way around the place by herself, she never cared to explore without a guardian around. The smoke and crumbled walls only made it more difficult for her to navigate her way through the halls. "K-Kurt, are you okay?"

((Yes, go ahead! Just keep those parameters in mind. I tweaked your form very slightly to reflect them.))
Schreod waved a hand impatiently. "Yes, but supposing they did. Supposing you never expected them to turn on you and yet somehow, they did." Then again, he had never had that much confidence in Felix; his weakness was pretty obvious from a young age. But he had certainly never expected him to go full-blown traitor.
Kurt could hardly hear. Enormous black spots crowded out most of his vision. He saw the screaming faces, he heard the explosions and the rain of gunfire, he felt blood drip from his ear. But somehow through it all, he was able to make out Destiny. Still there. Still in front of him.
"Leave me," he choked out.

Archer studied the man beside him for a moment. Then, after a sip of his coffee, answered, "Supposing one of them did betray me, I'd guess I'd be crushed. Like I said, none had a reason to betray any of us, so if one turned out to be lying for whatever reason, I wouldn't be happy about it." He took another sip of his drink, letting his statement hang in the air. "I'm guessing something like that happened to you?"
~*
"B-But I don't w-want to," Destiny said. The girl was scared. Had she had someone to keep her running after Kurt had pushed her forward, she might be in the panic room by now. However, she had let herself stop, and the young girl was too afraid to start moving on her own. "k-Kurt, w-we have to g-go. Y-You can m-move, r-right?"

Schreod wouldn't exactly describe his emotional reaction as "crushed," particularly since he'd found out about this several years ago. It was just that now his brother was right here, in this building, in his imprisonment, and he wasn't entirely certain what to do with the situation. "My younger brother," he said after a moment, "was always the black sheep of the family. When he was eighteen, while I was in combat, he was bitten by a shifter, and in his delirious state, kidnapped and taken to the WhiteKingdom. I heard about it a month later, but he was beyond tracking. He was gone. Eventually we came to know that he had well and truly sided with the people who had changed him and taken him against his will." He rubbed his chin. "We have him in custody. Him and the girl who took him away. I've just spoken with him and his apparent conviction is clear. I am unsure how to proceed."
Kurt couldn't hear her. The ringing in his ears was too loud. He tried in desperation to pull himself forward, but whatever remained of his foot stayed solidly in place. He couldn't even feel it anymore. This was not a good sign.
He was still conscious when a dart filled with anti-shifting serum came from the settling dust and entered Destiny's arm, and when the heavy footsteps of many soldiers filled the air, but just barely.

Archer listened silently, nodding his head when the man finished. "Sounds like you're in a rough position," he muttered. Though he had given up trying to search for his remaining brother, he still felt a loyalty to him. "I wish I could tell you I understand your dilemma, but I'd be lying."
~*
"K-Kurt!" Destiny continued to shout in between fits of coughs. She shook his shoulder, calling his name and trying to get him to move. A few minutes later, she felt a sharp pain in her arm. She cried out in pain, her hand flying to the spot on her arm to knock away whatever had hit her.
(We can wait with Nichole until later if you want.)

User Name- *Nightwhisper Name- Faith Harper Age- 28 Gender- Female Birth Country- England Looks- Faith stands about 5'8", her frame light. She wasn't strong looking at all, but that didn't mean she was defenseless. Her blonde hair fell just to her shoulders, and bright hazel eyes seem to show her every emotion. Freckles dusted the bridge of her noise and cheeks. Personality- Faith is a kind girl, but she won't take nonsense from just anybody. She's the kind that will make friends with a certain type of person, or anyone who shares her point of view. Anyone else will have to work hard trying not to annoy her. She's patient, but to a certain extent. So long as you're being honest with her, Faith will be more than happy to help you and listen to your problems. Yet if she figures out you're lying to her, then she'll just flat out ignore your existence. SS or human- Human How you became a SS- RK, WK, or ignorant- Ignorant Past- Faith grew up in a family who tried to have as little to do with the RK and WK as possible. They neither helped nor hindered either side. It was something that she still tries to live with the same state of mid as her parents. When she was eighteen, she moved out of her parent's home and got her own apartment as she attended college. Other- Faith is a pretty fairly know photographer. She travels the world whenever she can, taking pictures of the landscape, both untouched land and land suffering from the aftermath of the war. She doesn't go as far as risking her life, though, in order to get good pictures.

He shrugged. "Even so, I'd like your opinion. I am concerned that he may have undergone some form of brainwashing while he was with them, but at the same time I wouldn't be entirely surprised to find that he really had done this of his own volition. And then there's the girl... Given the option, the possibility, I would have him back with the RK. But if this cannot happen, he must be treated like any other war prisoner. In the short run, what do you suppose ought to be done with the two of them? I think the first step is to try to better understand their true perspectives, but I doubt they will talk to me."
Four men armed to the teeth entered the room just then, guns at the ready. They lowered them upon seeing that the room's only occupants were a small girl and a nearly unconscious man, but they wasted no time in descending upon them, grabbing up Destiny and pulling Kurt none too gently from the rubble. Blinding pain flared up once again, and finally consciousness was truly lost.

"Getting to know their true perspectives might be the best thing to start out with," Archer agreed. "If your brother was brainwashed, then there may be a way to reverse it. However, if he changed his point of view because of the girl, that's a whole other thing to deal with. If we can get to girl to see our side, then maybe things won't be too bad, but then there's the risk of her becoming a spy for the WK." The man reached up to scratch the back of his head, thinking. "It's a though decision either way. Who's in charge of their keeping?"
~*
Destiny only saw the men as they rushed towards them. Her eyes widened in fear, not knowing where they had come from. She tried once more to get Kurt up, but to no avail. So she then instead tried to cling to his shirt as the men pulled her away. Again, her attempts were in vain as she was carried away, and she could only watch as Kurt was pulled free of the rubble to be brought with her. Maybe they were help after all? But the suits they wore weren't like anything she had seen before.
