well, we can't do PineClan because someone already has that... but here's the intro
intro
On a cliff of a large mountain, a group of cats sat around each other murmuring in hushed tones. From a nearby pine forest a tall, red she-cat emerged, head bowing in respectful greeting. As she entered into the group, the other cats silenced and watched her with interest. "Well, what was I brought here for?" she asked in a gravelly voice. The cats looked to each other as if seeing who would speak first. It was a few more moments before a large ginger tom with stars in his pelt stepped forward and cleared his throat. "Grousestar, my old friend, it is good to see you again. I have to put this as bluntly as possible: the gods are warring." Completely silence fell over the cliff. Not a breath nor a piece of prey scurrying among the undergrowth was to be heard; it was ominous. The red she-cat, Grousestar, looked as confused as a newborn kit. "That hasn't happened in many seasons, Yelloweyes. Are you sure that this is what is happening?" "Unfortunately, yes. We do not know why; we do not have the answers." Looking almost mournful, the tom stepped back into the ranks of the original group. Before long another starry cat took his place speaking to Grousestar, this one a gray she-cat. "Dreadstar... I... I haven't seen you since I received my lives. Where have you been?" the red cat asked quietly. "That does not matter, Grousestar. You must look into the mountain to understand the gods. A soul there is old and has remained for generations; it knows the Great One," Dreadstar said before padding away and fading into nothing. Looking bewildered and shocked, Grousestar whipped her head around to face Yelloweyes and the rest of the cats. "What is going on, Yelloweyes?" she growled lowly. The tom only shook his head and touched his nose to hers. "You will save the clan, Grousestar. You will keep them safe..."

rules
Level of Roleplay BogClan is not a free or casual role-play; it is, at the least, a semi-advanced role-play. This means that you cannot type out one-liners most of the time. Just scraping by is three lines, but as long as you can type three or more you should be fine. Use descriptive words and emotions in your posts; make your character have thoughts; personify your character. Don't make them not have a brain.
Activity This is one of the most important rules for me. My friends and I have worked very, very hard on this clan and we do not want it to die out. I'm saying that you have to be on at least twice a week for a pretty lengthy period and actually role-play -- not just chat. If you will be gone for vacation, are grounded, or can't get on for some matter or another, please notify myself or one of my moderators ahead of time. I understand that people have lives - believe me, I do. I have training to do, a job, friends, and vacation, so I'll be gone often - but I'll still be on at least four to five times a week.
Metagaming I have been on the forums for a while and haven't seen many cases of Mary-Su's and Gary-Stu's lately, but just in case you are thinking of making one here - don't. There is to be no spotlighting, power-playing, or god-modding in this clan. You get two warnings for doing it before you are deleted from the clan.
Limits I will not put up a set number for the amount of cats you can claim, but please don't claim to much. I fully reserve the right to take some of your characters away if you are not role-playing them enough or if you have an excess of characters. I will put up a limit if it becomes too much of a problem.
Plagiarism All of the work here is original. If one of the members of the clan catches you using something here, they will know to report you right away. Wildsong and myself worked very hard to make this clan and we will not tolerate any instances of plagiarism.
Mentors & Special Positions If your cat is the deputy, medicine cat, medicine cat apprentice, or is a key cat in a plot, you must be on quite frequently. There will be no exceptions. If you are not, you will be removed from the position or plot and be replaced. If your cat is a mentor to an apprentice, you really need to be on a lot. If you are not on enough, I will reassign the apprentice to another person, so think heavily on your choice of claiming a cat that is a mentor.
Spamming You're allowed to ask a person back to another role-play, of course, but you cannot post links to that role-play. If you are a member of the clan you are allowed to post links, but not that often. If it happens too much, a moderator or myself will confront you about it.
Forum & Ghost Rules This is going to be a really short rule. If you break one of the forum rules or one of the top ghost rules, you will be deleted from the clan and reported immediately.
Complaining Do not complain if I give a special position or mentorship to someone before you. Also, do not complain if things do not go your way in the role-play. That's just whining and acting like a toddler. It is not acceptable.

landmarks
The Great Arch - The Great Arch is located in the southwestern part of the territory and is where the cats meet with StarClan. It is a naturally occurring limestone arch. In ValleyClan mythology, it is believed to have been carved out by the goddess U'na.
The Dead Forest - The Dead Forest isn't actually dead, it just consists of mainly bristlecone pine trees. Good hunting can be found here and this is also where apprentices are given one part of the specification tests. Hawks are known to nest here so it is dangerous for small cats to venture into the Dead Forest. It is located in the northwestern part of the territory. It is very sandy and dry.
The Reflecting Lake - At the center of the territory is the Reflecting Lake. It is bordered by a large pine forest on one side and large cliff on the other. Here is where cats can play and relax, though it is a bit of a walk from the camp to the lake. Lots of fish live in the lake so there is good hunting to be found here as well.
The Grasslands - At the westernmost part of the territory is a large section of grasslands. This area is extremely safe and rich with prey. Hunters train their apprentices here until they are ready to move on to more dangerous areas.
The Great Peaks - To the north of ValleyClan territory there are many large mountains which create the basin that the clan lives in. In these mountains there is a tribe of cats that are considered to be closer to the gods than any other cats. Only in times of dire need does the clan contact them. They have never been known to come down from the mountains.

territory
ValleyClan takes up residence in Great Basin National Park, though this is before many humans lived in or around the park. Only Native American tribes sometimes pass through their territory but they do not try to harm the cats. Covering most of the territory is a large coniferous forest. There is a lake in the middle of the territory and another lake on the eastern part of the territory. There are many strange landmarks that the cats say their gods created. There are many small mountains in the territory, though not many cats like to scale them. In greenleaf the territory gets very hot, especially in the bristlecone pine forest, and in leafbare it gets very cold.
prey
- water shrews - marmots - beavers - voles - rabbits - bats - weasels - mice
predators
- coyotes - foxes - porcupine - bighorn sheep
sacred animals
- elk - badger - hawk - jackrabbit
plot
"You must look into the mountain to understand the gods. A soul there is old and has remained for generations; it knows the Great One." Many sunrises have passed since Grousestar received her prophecy from her former leader, Dreadstar. Since then StarClan has not walked her dreams. Dead jackrabbits have been found in the territory, seemingly killed by hawks. The same has happened with badgers being trampled by elk, and then there have also been elk found dead in odd places. Something bad is happening with the gods and none of the medicine cats nor Grousestar know what is going on. To be able to save the clan from imminent destruction, Grousestar has to figure out a plan - and quick.
