I'm poofy too, I'm doing an essay outline rn I think we should figure out the clan system, then the plot, then if it'll be claim-a-cat or not and while we're doing all of that one of us could make a poll asking the WCF if they would rather have a create a cat or claim a cat clan

awesome! I don't know how I want to split this all up. maybe we could have just hunters and fighters, or we could have all four specialized groups. I definitely want medicine cats that specialize in a specific set of medicines and then a head medicine cat. yes, we are uwu

I think that only the medicine cats and the leader should have a strong connection to the gods/StarClan, same as in the books. maybe they find a jackrabbit killed by a stoat or something like that and that causes infighting among the warriors

a lot of infighting in the clan and maybe representatives from each group going to the tribe we were talking about. the tribe could be seen as closer to the gods due to their location and/or how they act(they could be more religious). the reason for going to the tribe could be to receive spiritual help and guidance from them

Gammu, the jackrabbit, lends swiftness to a cat's paws. He watches faithfully over the hunt and ensures the catch of good prey. Just as he gives swiftness, he can take it away and with it the promise of a good catch.
Kinii, the hawk, watches over all with her infinite wisdom. She is the goddess of medicine cats and oracles, as she also gives the gift of foresight.
Adku, the elk, deals in family affairs. He is the god that ensures good relationships and strong bonds. He is honored as the First God or the Great God as the clan is a family.
U'na, the badger, is the goddess of protection and motherhood. She gifts mothers with their kits and watches over them through gestation and birth. She watches over battles and protects strong warriors. She is also the goddess of relationships(family, friends, mates, enemies, etc.)

After being apprenticed, cats are put into a path. It may be based off of their skills; maybe because they requested it. Choosing a path isn't final. They are mentored by a cat in the rank they are placed in- hunter, guard, scout, or medicine cat. Apprentices learn skills from all ranks (except medicine cat, unless they are one) during their training. Each one has different skills, meaning every cat will fit into one. hunter- Hunters make up the most of the Clan. They are well-rounded cats- but, obviously, best at hunting. As the Clan gets larger, hunters have more work to do- they are all the Clan relies on for meals. guard- Guards are strong and know how to fight. They are responsible for defending their Clanmates, and may be the first into battles and frequently placed around the caves for defense purposes. scout- Scouts are very small and lithe. First into unexplored or potentially dangerous territory, they must be quick thinkers- and runners. Due to having extensive knowledge of the territory, they also deliver messaged back and forth. medicine cat- Medicine cats heal their Clanmates. With such a large range of cats comes a larger range of injuries- they seem to always be busy. However, each cat is trained in one skill more then the others- from wounds to birthing to collecting and identifying herbs. Each rank has a head. The head is almost as powerful as the Clan's deputy- problems go through them before higher up. Heads are chosen carefully and appointed by the leader for being exceptional in not only their rank, but having at least common knowledge of all.
