I just hung up with her and I'm typing replies now! Maybe we should do some training and have them bond a little more and mingle with the group during it and then send them off to war sooner than they were all expecting?))

(Also I think I'll be on a lot tomorrow so that's good lol)
Jackson smiled at her and shrugged a little, as if it was a casual promise to make. "Only if you promise to stick around and go with me. You have to feel the waves it your ankles." He really did want to go to the beach with her, he missed it and felt that not having ever been was a crime that needed to be corrected. However, he also felt that if she expected him to be there by the end of this war then he needed her by his side. The thought of her not making it out, lying still and cold startled him more than he cared to admit and he kept the though suppressed so he wouldn't hint to her his true fears. Luckily, if any of them were likely to survive if was her, angels were tough and couldn't be injured easily, not like humans who were easy to make bleed. "Maybe if you're really lucky and the waves are right, I'll even teach you to surf." He said, tone still more playful thank his inner fears and concerns for the future.
Arielle hoped he was right, battle was gruesome and she was trained to handle it with superiority and professionalism, but there had been times when she hid herself away to grieve for those lost and what she had seen. She hoped desperately she could protect Malik from that, she would do everything to keep him safe anyway. Despite his physical appearance being taller and overall more athletic she was quick and more lethal than anyone assumes until people would begin to drop like flies in battle, her knives in their backs. "Hmm, I'm not really sure, I hadn't thought that far ahead since I wasn't certain if you would even want to teach me." She laughed a little and curled a strand of her hair around her finger thoughtfully. "Maybe scenery, like trees?" She asked, her green eyes fixed on him with curiousity,
Wells nodded slightly in agreement, he would still have her test weapons, but he was fairly sure she might be talented with some type of a gun. Like a bow, the users aim had to be precise and thought out and one did not have to fire close range. "I don't mind." He reassured her then laughed a little. "Yes we eat, but not like most humans. More natural foods and many of us our vegetarians." He explained. It wasn't necessary for angels to eat or sleep often to maintain energy, their body's didn't shut down the way humans did, which made his insomnia less tolling on his body although a restless mind was never good.

Angelique listened to him speak about the beach, pleased that she finally figured out something her Chosen enjoyed greatly. It was obvious by the tone of his voice, how eager he looked, and the strong feeling of excitement that surged from their Mark. Going with him certainly sounded like a pleasant idea, it was just a matter of how long the war would be. She had decided that thinking that only one of them would make it out alive was a stupid thought. Because in the end, they'd both escape unscathed. They had to. She had heard stories of Angels whose Chosen passed away, madness taking over their minds after being left alone. She vowed to herself to make sure that he'd still be breathing by the time the war was over. Not just for her sake, but only because she couldn't stand the idea of failing her Chosen. "Surfing, hm?" She mused as she removed her gaze from the ceiling to peer over at him curiously. "I never understood why humans find it amusing to ride along the waves. Is it similar to flying? If so, then I completely get it."
At her suggestion, his eyes brightened with excitement and his whole body seemed to light up. "That sounds good to me! Typically, nature is more of an easier topic, y'know? It doesn't really move all that much, so hopefully you can get the hang of it pretty quickly. On the battlefield, there's definitely going to be nature surrounding us. So when we have the time, we can always work on that. Does that sound okay?" Malik questioned, almost unable to contain his excitement. He spoke rapidly, as if he didn't have enough time to convey all his thoughts to Arielle. Sure, the prospect of going into battle wasn't supposed to be met with such vigor and cheer, but Malik wasn't like most people; he lived on the borderline of abnormal. And now, he had Arielle going into war with him. He had someone who enjoyed the same topics he enjoyed, he had someone to draw with, someone to talk to. So, overall, heading into war didn't seem all that bad. He wasn't alone, that's what mattered.
{{ that idea sounds good to me!~ }}

{{ I dig I dig }}
Carly's mind hadn't completely left the realm of combat. For the record she was never really into action movies or adventure flicks. Growing up in a dramatic household nested in a dramatic neighborhood had lent her plenty of both genres but in the real life. Actual war-like fighting didn't appeal to her, but she knew this was her calling nonetheless.
She couldn't help but snort at Wells' comment. "Vegetarian? I find that hard to believe. All of you are so built. Ever heard of protein?" She took off her flip-lops and replaced them with sneakers before taking her jacket off, ready to roam the building. It was odd to her to imagine the place was inhibited by non-humans, but she knew she'd get used to it quickly.

Jackson shrugged a little, he didn't have much of an answer for her question since he wasn't sure what flying was actually like, or if anything could really even compare to being able to fly freely. "I don't know, it's the closest I've been to flying." He loved adrenaline, but surfing was so much more than a rush, it was freeing and relaxing as much as it was a thrill. "Humans do a lot to try and mimick what it's like to fly, but we never really get it right, it must be amazing having your own wings." He said in awe. Jax used to want to fly away from his responsibility as a Chosen and his future. He wondered what it must be like to actually just spread your wings and fire away. Angelique said angels never got to have much fun either so he wasn't sure if she even got to use her wings just to fly for fun.
Arielle liked seeing him lit up like that. His excitement was contagious and had her feeling ready to learn what made drawing so special to him and how he was so skilled at it. "It sounds wonderful. I cannot wait to learn." She smiled brightly at him. She wished they didn't have to go to war and he could just teach her in a better environment where they both could be happy. She realized that she was happy though. Despite the war, Arielle felt whole with her Chosen, with Malik by her side she wasn't alone and she could do anything. She would protect him.
"Some of us find it disturbing to eat something created to live on earth, we don't need nutrients in the same way that you humans do, we train everyday for years, that's why we all look like your best athletes." Wells replied, he was doing his best to explain, but earth was very different from life in Heaven. He waited for her to finish getting ready, he wasn't used to life on earth either, but it was something that had always interested him. He was scholarly and loved history, both of his people and of those living on Earth, both had been through quite a lot and although humans liked to perceive angels as perfect with no problems, they had experienced loss as many humans had.

{{ i'm working on a new character for Lilith, Ghost!~ }}
"Flying? It's.. It's great, really." She admitted, her tone slightly sheepish. "It's like.. You feel as if you can just get away from your problems and you never want to come back down. Eventually, you get tired and have to. But the rush.. It doesn't go away for hours. And you're just in your own little dream land. It's difficult, really. We're only supposed to fly when we have to, y'know? It's exhausting and even the strongest Angel can only fly for twelve hours. The speed is wonderful, we can travel around the world in minutes. But.. We're not allowed to use it for our own enjoyment. It's a shame really." Angelique was almost taken aback by her own eagerness in talking about flying. She shouldn't be talking about something her Chosen couldn't do. She brought her knees up to her chest and hugged them tightly, resting her chin on them. "I'd love for you to experience it, honestly. Perhaps there is some way." Because he deserved to feel the rush as well, right?
"We could start sometime soon." He suggested with a hopeful smile, "We don't have to wait to go onto the battlefield before I start to teach you. Maybe we could put aside a little time after we have a training session? It would be a nice way to relax our sore bodies, to calm down our energized minds, and to focus our attention to something less.. violent." Sure, Malik was excited at the thought of training and practicing with Arielle; he wanted to show his Angel what he was made of, that his large body stature just wasn't for show. And he was intrigued to see what she could do, she was an Angel after all, their stats must be off the charts.
{{ that sounds good to me, Win! c: and don't worry about activeness, we all have busy lives~ }}

Carly waited by the door for Wells to be ready to go. "Just like humans huh..." The phrase felt odd on her tongue. For some reason in her mind she had the idea that Angels would be beings with entirely separate needs and wants than humans. She had even expected them to be like beasts, as crazy as it sounded. "Sorry if this is a weird question, but do you have family?" Carly didn't want to ask about Angels in general this time, she wanted to hear about her Soulmate. She had shared a little piece of herself when speaking about her father, but she wanted to know about him too.
