I should post. I'm going to have Lilith somewhere]
Lilith had felt a bit left out so she left the group to go read. Finding a book, the little angel settled herself down on a couch and began to read. However, thoughts would keep her on the same sentence as she wondered where her Chosen was. Would they be a boy or a girl? Would they think she was pathetic because of her appearance? Would they baby her? Lilith didn't know and she wanted to. She set the book down and closed her eyes, soon drifting into a nap.

{{ I switched to my ipad because I couldn't handle it oops }}
Angelique grinned sheepishly, the corners of her lips seeming to lift whenever Jackson was in her sights. Huh, she'd have to get used to the feeling of smiling. It made her face hurt, but not in a bad way. Jackson was the cause of her grin, there was no wrongful meaning behind it. She had been one of the tough Angels, her face as blank as a marble statue. Sure, she showed emotion here and there. But was it heartfelt? Probably not, she didn't feel emotions as strongly as she currently was. All that time and effort in putting up a tough facade, wasted. "That happens often." She confessed, taking her lower lip between her teeth as she glanced up at him again, their eyes locking. It sent a slight thrill running up and down her spine. "I'll probably have to teach you some vocab for our conversations to run smoothly.." Her voice trailed off, uncertain.
When she took both of her hands and placed it around his, his heart lurched. Malik had the sudden desire to pull her close, to lessen the minuscule distance that was already between them. He desired to know every inch of who she was, to understand every piece of her very being. But he had to control himself, he couldn't be too up close and personal, could he? At her assessment of their Mark, he scoffed in disbelief. He had immediately noticed the amusement in her eyes and played along just as enthusiastically. "Alright? It's just alright? Darling, I don't think you understand. This Mark is magnificent, brilliant even." He sniffed, clutching at his heart with his free hand in mock pain. "What a preposterous idea you had, calling our Mark simply 'alright.'"
{{Ghost, if you would like me to, I'll pop in a character for you to interact with until you could roleplay with Weary? }}

In astonishment, Carly peered down to view the symbol that had appeared on her left hand. She looked up and let a small gasp to see a matching one appear on her Angel's collarbone. Suddenly, things felt right. Maybe that little physical sign was needed to set her mind at ease. Wells' soft tone forced her to look up at him. Blushing, she pulled her hand away and busied herself with the backpack straps dangling from her shoulders. "Yeah, I'm good. Just a new feeling, that's all." '
She looked at Jax and Malik, seeing they were busy with their own Angels. The two appeared to be much more, well, invested in their bond already. A little doubt returned to her. She felt an attachment to Wells immediately, but the desire and closeness that was displayed in the other Chosen's eyes wasn't relatable to her yet. Is there something wrong with me? The Latina shook off the feeling after a moment of pondering. She was aware that she wasn't warm and cuddly. Even to an Angel, her soulmate, it would take a little getting used to before she could show affection. She was about to step into her new room when she stopped short, realizing she was unsure of what the next steps were. "By the way, what do we do now? This was nice and all, but I feel like this little ceremony isn't the only reason we're here."

((Haha I'll probably be up for a while since my friend just sent me a creepy clown video just to ruin my night so I don't want to sleep))
Jackson felt the need to shiver under her the gaze of those piercing eyes, not in a bad way, but almost with excitement. He had a feeling she didn't smile often and he felt incredibly fortunate to receive a part of Angelique that she likely sheltered. He wasn't used to this feeling. He didn't have trouble with emotions per say, but it was difficult for him to ever feel truly known by those around him, even his family he felt disconnected with often. It was always unsettling to him, he found it easy to listen to others and learn about them, but it never seemed to be reciprocated. Now he felt as if he didn't even need to speak, Angelique saw him. If she wanted to she could likely see his whole heart laid out for her. Fears, desires, what made him angry, happy. She would know, and he would know her true feelings. It was both alarming to think about and thrilling. His eyes returned to look down at her as she glanced at him again and he couldn't suppress a grin. "That would be interesting. Better than learning French."
Arielle felt compelled to inch her way closer as she pretended to examine the mark on his hand more deeply. She now stood next to him nearly, but still a little ways in front of the tall human. Her eyes rose back to Malik as he spoke, his enthusiasm to play along delighted her, despite how childish it may seem to the other angels she adored playful banter and Malik was quickly proving he did too. A match made in Heaven. she thought to herself ironically. "Oh? Well when you put it that way.." She ran her index finger over his mark thoughtfully. "I must say it is fairly wonderful." She said, the smile she had been holding back quickly found it's way to her pink lips as she nudged him teasingly with her shoulder.

Wells nodded in understanding. It was new for him too. Despite being several hundred years old he had never felt such strong emotions towards someone. He wanted to know everything about Carly, the little things that made her happy, pet peeves, how to calm her down if she gets upset. "It's new for me too." He stated the obvious. He wasn't sure if it would comfort her at all, but he thought she should know even being an angel they were experiencing the same new feelings together. Her next question surprised him and he wasn't certain how to respond. They would likely train together, the Chosen would get to know and trust each other like a team. Then war. The thought sent shivers down his spine. Wells didn't particularly enjoy violence, in fact it was very off putting to him which was partially why he preferred such a long range weapon. But he would do whatever he had to in order to protect Carly as the fought. "Most likely train together. See what works best and what doesn't. Then we go to battle." He explained.

For some reason, Carly felt hesitance in her heart that didn't seem entirely, well, hers. She could feel her own emotions, but in addition there seemed to be a new presence in her heart. It was as if a second soul resided in her. She almost craved closeness to it: the good, the bad, the ugly. As someone who never got along with her family members or even significant others, this was new to her. But she couldn't deny the fact that she liked it. The reassurance from Wells that this was new for him too also aided her. She took a deep breath in and smiled warmly at him. "Glad to hear it. I guess I knew what I was destined for with this mark," she examined her ring finger, "but I definitely didn't expect anything like this."
Ah. War. That was the zinger. Carly had the feeling in her gut whatever came next wasn't pretty, but that confirmation for some reason didn't bother her. She examined Wells more closely. Beside the fact that he was dashingly handsome, he looked built and ready for whatever force could be against him. This gave her some peace of mind, but examining her small frame, she knew she was inadequate. She still had her strong, toned legs from a lifetime of soccer, but she knew as far as weapons went that would be no help. "Gotcha. That training will definitely come in handy."

(( Night Viti I'll probs still be asleep by then who knows but I'll reply when I get up! ^^ Aw I'm sorry Falcon that's annoying! I'm glad you're both cool too! <3 ))
Wells sighed and rubbed the back of his neck. "No, it's all very different. It'll take getting used to, but it'll be okay." He promised her. As an angel they had been taught about being Chosen at a young age. He knew his responsibilities and the importance of the duty in addition to all the history it held. Wells loved history. It sat heavy in his heart that angel and human history wasn't entirely pleasant. He hoped to change that, to creat a brighter future for the human race and keep both species at peace. So being Chosen was an amazing gift, one that was deeply important to him and still held that importance. Now though, Carly was in the picture and her life was his to protect. He would do whatever necessary to keep her safe.
"The training will help us figure out how we work best together and where we fit in the overall mission." Wells explained to her. Carly was not only beautiful, but she was in great shape which he knew would help her through combat exercises. Despite her size, fierce warriors could be smaller, Angelique and Arielle were good examples of that. Not all skills lied in who could throw the hardest punch. Wells fought well, but he preferred his bow or to strategize if given the opportunity. Each angel had a different weapon. Arielle her knives, Angelique her sword, Bain his guns. Humans were no different and Wells was confident Carly would find a weapon to suit her. "Have you trained with weapons before?" He asked curiously.

Carly believed Wells' every word. Being a usual skeptic, it was comforting to know her life was tied to another's, however celestial, and that he could definitely handle that responsibility. Even an Angel was new to this experience, and they had known exactly what was to go on since... Who knows when? She knew the future looked tough, but with her own Angel and the other soulmates she had seen so far, she believed they could handle it. There were even more pairs yet to be discovered as well, and the thought left her empowered.
"Ah, training as a team. I like it." Carly moved back to grab her duffel bag after her reply. Continuing to speak, she moved toward her room and propped open the door. She assumed her Angel would follow as they continued their conversation. As much as she wanted to get at least slightly settled before touring the building, her initial attachment to Wells was still in full and she wanted to stay near him. "Weapons..." She started opening drawers and figuring out where each thing would go. "I don't have experience using them, but I didn't grow up in the greatest area. Violence isn't new to me."

Wells followed after her his gait slower as he entered her currently plain room. With Carly's personality he was fairly certain it would be decorated in no time. He leaned against the doorframe as he watched her work on unpacking each of her items and giving them new homes. He was glad she was willing to work as a team, it would be crucial for the Chosens to work together if the were going to win. He frowned ever so slightly at her mention of growing up around violence. The thought of that ennerved him, but he wanted to know more about her life without prying. "I'm sorry." He said genuinely. "When we train, you'll figure out what suites you best."

Carly pulled out some photos of her and her papi. There weren't any frames for them. She preferred to pin them to the wall where they were easier to see. She investigated them, warmth filling her insides. She didn't know when she would see him again, but she knew she'd be fighting this war for him. Mantenerse a salvo, she thought wishfully.
Climbing on her bed to put them on the wall, she listened to Wells. "It's okay. It's all I know, and I think it's made me tougher. It'd be hard to battle if you had soft skin, eh?" She grinned at her photos and then sat down on the edge of her bed. "Damn. I can only wonder what I'm going to be useful with. Sure I've gotten into some fights, but nothing like this."

"Agreed." She murmured, her tone of voice light and somewhat cheerful, pleased that he wasn't put off with the way she spoke. Seeing as how Latin was all that the Angels spoke in the Gates of Heaven, she was surprised that the language wasn't taught to the Chosen. However, she wasn't paying attention to the second part of his sentence, too transfixed in the way that he easily accepted her. But now, her interest was piqued as her mind caught up with her thoughts. "You speak French..? If it makes things easier, we could always communicate in that language. I don't really know how fluent you are, but we're taught as many languages as possible since our Creation. Y'know, since the boundaries of Bonds are limitless." Angelique explained, not knowing what to talk about or do, really. Small talk wasn't something she excelled at, that was something the other Angels were better at. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed Wells walking away with his Chosen. Hm, good for him. It was at this time that she realized that her hand was still in Jackson's, and wasn't too sure if she should pull it away or not. It was nice, to be quite honest. His hand in hers reminded her that she wasn't alone anymore.
Malik laughed when she finally agreed with him on the magnificence of their Mark, nudging her back gently with his elbow. She was tiny compared to him and a small part of his mind yelled at him to protect her at all costs. He was pretty sure that he strength was greater than he could ever imagine, but that wouldn't stop him from trying to make sure no harm came to her. She was an Angel after all, a magnificent being that had no imperfections. Her smile was contagious, a drug that he needed to keep on living. Malik couldn't help himself from grinning back when he saw the smile that danced across her face. "Glad to see that you finally agree." He mused, a gentle expression on his face at the Angel by his side. Realizing that them and other Bonded pair were left in the room, he shifted from side to side awkwardly,"Should we move to a less crowded place?" He whispered to her, his gaze questioning.

Wells watched her affectionately hang each picture, her feelings for the person in her photograph obvious, it was somebody she missed and loved. Judging by her expression and the age of the man in the photo it was her father. He was glad she had someone back home to care for her, he could only hope her father was in good health and safe. He was sure where she grew up did make her stronger. Whatever she had seen and dealt with her her life would build her up to be ready for what she would see in battle. He wasn't sure he would have that same sort of shield to protect him. "It could be anything. I prefer a bow. Angelique uses a sword, Arielle throws knifes. Dylan has daggers, Bain guns. There's a variety you'll learn." He explained.
((Working on Jax and Arielle sorry for disappearing!))

Jax nodded a little bit, he felt bad for not knowing much Latin, but he really felt that a good amount of what they learned wasn't entirely very helpful preparation for the bond. Latin was minimal, mostly roots and bases and he had been taught French at a young age by his mother. He wasn't phenomenal but he could speak fluent enough. New York wasn't a great place to practice French. "I do, I mean I'm not amazing at it, but I speak it." He explained, he didn't want to give her high expectations, especially with her impressive array of languages. "What languages do you speak exactly?" He asked her curiously. It was easier to feel insignificant next to a celestial being, but somehow Angelique didn't make him feel too pathetically inferior. He just wanted to know more about her and her life. "We could go to my room if you like? It's not anything special though." He warned.
Arielle shrugged slightly and grinned "when it is pretty amazing. Maybe the best I've ever seen." She said teasingly and pointed her nose, as if she thought of them above all the others. It was a joke of course, she cared for all the angels she had met. His expression warmed her, even if her heart was slowing down his gaze still sent it into a fluttering pat against her chest. At Malik's expression she nodded in agreement, it seemed like the other Chosen split off to get to know each other elsewhere and get into possible deeper discussions. Finding your soulmate left a lot of catching up, each of them wanted to learn about each other. "Where would you like to go?" She asked him.

Carly could feel Wells' understanding of her love for her father. She smiled a little to herself and then scooted over in case the Angel wanted to sit. Do they sit? she asked stupidly to herself. She had no idea how "human" these beings were, but she wanted to be friendly anyways. She eyed him looking at her and the photos and sighed. "You could probably guess I wasn't an easy kid. My papi and I were never very close, but I still love him. He's my dad after all." The Latina considered what Wells told her about weapons. All of them sounded like they needed arm strength and quick reflexes, only the latter she had developed. "Hopefully you can help me out then. I'm best at kicking, running, and climbing, but I don't know what kind of combat that could entail." She gave pressed her lips together, thinking.

The Soulmates began to pair off, so Dylan knew his fun was over. He gave the remaining Angels in the hallway a wave and then released his wings, turning on his heel to walk away. The emptiness was beginning to settle in. He couldn't help but feel left out at not finding his Chosen yet. At the same time he knew he wasn't alone. There were other Angels who had not yet find theirs either.
Speaking of, after walking for a while, he came across Lilith napping. He watched her for a moment, jealous of her peacefulness. He was nothing but a ball of energy right now. He sat down beside where she was laying, hesitating on whether or not to wake her up.

{{ just lemme know if you would like me to, Ghost. Have fun!! ^^ I miss having dinners with my grandparents. }}
"It's a fun language." She mused, tilting her head to the side. "Every word just flows together nicely and makes you sound as if you're singing, but you're just talking." She gestured for him to lead the way to his room. It couldn't be as bad as hers, really. The Angels rooms were somewhat empty and bare except for the basic necessities they had back up in the Gates of Heaven. Each room had a balcony, much to her glee. She would have access to the sky and the air. It was somewhat reassuring, being able to stare up at the clouds and know that her Family was above her. She was so lost in her thoughts that she answered his question with a "hm?", snapping out of her reverie. "Oh. What languages? We were taught all of them, so.. 6,500, maybe?" Angelique shrugged, as if it wasn't a big deal. "They were forced into our head, day after day ever since we were old enough." She pursed her lips at the thought, not fond of the Higher Forces' teaching techniques.
He chuckled at her actions, pleased that she agreed that theirs was most likely the best Mark. "We can go to my room," he mused,"But I promise you, it's slightly messy." Malik shrugged, starting the way towards his chosen bedroom. Yes, his room was a mess, but that was a part of who he was. And the purpose of the Bond is to show your Angel every bit of who you were. Introducing Arielle to his room was as if he was introducing a part of himself. Ever since he had arrived weeks ago, he was dead-set on decorating his room. It wasn't complete, but it was getting there. Glancing down to see her by his side was soothing and satisfying, all at once.
