Hello! My name is Stormsong, and I am new to the forums. I am looking for a role play partner. I am flexible with theme, but I generally enjoy having a romance in the story line. While I usually play the female, I am willing to play two characters with one being male and one being female.

Idk if you've gotten involved anywhere else yet, but I hope you like it here! Also how are you??
On another note, I'd be totally happy to do an RP with you c: do you have any preferences alongside those already stated?

Thank you for checking in on me! I was a member of the old forums before it got reset, so this place feels like home. I don't have any other preferences really; I'm pretty flexible.

No problem~ And ah yeah, I feel that spiritually. I know it's been a while but I'm still kind of upset the old forums were shut down. Also, same, I'm pretty much up for anything rp-wise

It feels like a foreign country, and it makes me sad that I could be talking to my old best forum friend, and I would never even remember. I feel like that would make a fantastic role play- ctually. Two people from an old chat room or class room are torn apart and given different identities and slowly remember each other through a series of concidential and identifying quirk such as a topic or certain characters/

It does. I've only been able to find a couple of people cause we joined here pre-deletion And yes, that'd be so interesting to do! I'm totally down for that

So what kind of character do you usually role play? Do you have any favorites you reuse from rp to rp or?

I usually end up pulling my favorite traits from past characters and putting them together, though I have a mild preference for role playing guys over girls. Although I can do just about anything to fit a plot

That works out well because I prefer playing girls over guys. It's been a while, so I'll probably being playing around with a few different character traits. Do you like fae role play ?

Honestly same - it'll help to feel out what works. And yes, I love fae role play, although it's been quite a while since I've done it so I might be a bit off

What if we mixed in a fae theme into the rp? Maybe a character was raised in the fae realm, but was hidden in the humans realm and lost all of their memories after an evil presence started targeting their specific species. Then, years later, one of the remaining fae of that evil species catches the magic trace of the species they had tried to eradicate. The evil fae waits for the perfect time to kill the unknowing fae who has lost their memories and assumes that they are human, but the evil one ends up falling in love, and gives back the targeted fae their memories by accident one night which leads to a complication in their relationship. The fae is forced to trust the person they have come to hate when a new threat arises. Something like that.

Ohhhh yeah, that sounds really fun to do. The secondary threat could perhaps be a (likely small, albeit determined) group of humans who recognize the existence of fae and want to eradicate them, or something else??

I like that idea. What else should we discuss?

Okay c: mm, I think the only thing that's left is who wants what part, where we're starting, and possible fae abilities??

Oh yeah! I almost forgot that the far are a diversely depicted race. What book series would you say closely matches you idea/ what kind of abilities do you normally associate with the fae? I'd like to have the "human" character, but what would you prefer to Rp? Later on, I think we should also add hunter characters from the human cult you mentioned, and I could fill in there unless you want to. I'm fine with anything.

Gosh I haven't read anything with the fae in it for a while, although I was briefly part of a group with a fun concept. Basically what they went with was that every fae child was born with a unique nature scene depicted in their irises, bright and filled with movement if you looked close enough, and the scene in their eyes hinted at the ability they possessed. That's lowkey the only one I clearly remember, but if you wanna go with something else it's totally cool with me. And that's cool! I honestly wanted the evil fae c: I have a couple concepts for them. And then if you want we can both fill into the human cult unless you'd like general control over them.

I like the evil fae idea too; I was thinking of the human cult for a threat later on in the story. I'm in love with eye patterns, so that idea sounds perfect to me!

Actually! Could the power of the evil fae be metal? I was thinking that that could serve as a motive for them to be taking over. They found they were stronger than the Royal fae, and they wiped out the Royal Race to prove their dominance. The Royal power should be what I wonder..... Maybe Light? I totally spaced out >.< I'm sorry.

Ohhh yeah! And it's fine don't worry about it. We can work in the Royal power when it comes up. Also, I'm so sorry, but dinner is done and I'm starving but I'll be back in a bit!

That sounds great! Hm... I guess I'll work on a character design. My only issue is what the eyes should look like since I don't have an ability picked out yet. I was thinking Michiko Tanaka "Michi" for short She's a 5 foot 3, 125 pound girl who just turned 18 years old, and she is attending college in Chicago as a psychology and music double major. As a child, she was raised by a kindly grandmother who just recently passed away from a mysterious illness. She dresses in all black, and is either wearing sandals or no shoes whatsoeverever. She was shunned by kids as a child because she just seemed different, and so she grew up rather antisocial, but she has a heart for helping people she inherited from her guardian, and she often helps others without thinking about the ramifications for herself. For all that, she is a bit prickly, and she tends to keep to her self. Having forgotten most of her memories, she usually has terrible nightmares of menacing beings wielding iron chains, and so she is usually up all night and only sleeps when she is too tired to dream, and wakes up often to avoid REM sleep where the night mares occur. She has anxiety and always believes she is being watched or followed- which is only made worse by her addiction to hot chocolate. She hates make up, and never wears jewelry due to the odd rash that develops whenever she has metal touching her skin. She is terrifying of the dark, and she can't swim well. When she isn't writing poetry, she is in a musical room away from people playing guitar or singing music in Irish or some other language. Her hair is a sunshine blonde naturally, but she dyes it black and keeps it cut to just above her neck in a cute little pixie spike style. Despite being slender, she has no grace, and she often falls over her own feet. She hates how she looks- especially her eyes, and so she shrinks unconfidently into corners. She is incredibly sharp, and graduated at the top of her class, but she has little to no common sense.

Ohh I like her! She gives me animal vibes, or maybe water abilities? Something that's kind of subtle that people would underestimate. Or maybe shadows. Or, if you have any preferred abilities I can make a scene for you? Meanwhile, I have to get my laptop to type properly Lolz.
Orion Bain is 19 years old and majoring in graphic design with a minor in music. While raised in his own realm, his family had been what many would consider abusive. It was all verbal, however, leaving no physical scars, but a scar on his inner person. Overall, it shaped who he was, gave him his motives, a reason to become who he is. With fair olive skin, he stands at 5 foot 9. It's somewhat clear he's been in his fair share of fights. He's broad shoulders and has a decent build. His hair gives way to a pleasurable warm, honey brown color, showing with a somewhat golden hue in the sun. His curls are easily tamed, always doing what he needs them too after a quick run through with a comb. Although, this could also be because he's got the sides and back cut too short to need any actual management. Overall, he looks rather intimidating. A 'fight you on sight' kind of intimidating. Orion's eyes display a subtle yet beautiful scene. Upon initial look, anybody would identify his eyes as hazel or grey in color. Well, the humans would, that is. Those who look long enough, however, know the truth of his eyes. The hazel in his irises appears mostly green with hints of brown, however, the pigment stays towards the edges in wonderful twists and coils of vines and undergrowth of the forest floor. Delving toward his pupil, vines and leaves slowly give way to stone that houses the finest ores of iron. The iron appears as streaks of silver among dull smoke and ash colors, occasionally darkened by the shifting shadows of the surrounding foliage. Any fae would be able to tell the scene of his eyes, and maybe make guesses at his metal powers, but the humans? They remain clueless or become entranced if they get a long enough look.
The fae's personality only somewhat matches his looks - he's closed off and hard to know when you first meet him. He really isn't one for initiating conversation and is usually terse when other try to speak with him. Normally, he'll answer questions in the shortest, most direct way possible, and generally avoid giving seemingly unnecessary details. So really, he's the type who will say 'you didn't ask' if he knew about something, but didn't tell. Orion is usually calm, none too keen on putting his emotions on display. One will really never know how he's feeling if he can help it, though often his eyes betray him. Not one to be angry - or show it, anyways - it'll be easy to tell when he's been pushed past his limit. You'll know because he'll actually raise his voice, or it'll turn physical. Besides this, he's a good listener and gives out decent advice if you manage to get close enough to him. Alongside this, if you really do manage to get close to him, you'll come to find out that he's super into cute things, would probably do whatever you asked him too at this point, and enjoys hugs a lot. You'll also discover his amazing array of facial expressions and his love for dance.

I'm glad! I was thinking that maybe she should have a light ability so that she can bend light waves and become invisible, as well as bring lights to dark rooms since it scares her so much, but darkness could also work out well. I just got a laptop today, and I love not having to type on my iPad keyboard anymore. It makes me so happy, especially being writer, not being slowed down by lagging keys is a blessing.
