|| Taya ||
Taya tried to smile, although it was quite hard to when the person she was talking to seemed to have the same cold, plain expression painted across his face. Maybe he was trying to be nice, by the way he commented positively on her name. ''Thanks, nice to meet you too,'' she replied, ''and thanks, I guess.'' Was saying her name was interesting a compliment? Well, it could only either mean she was a weirdo or unique, and when she thought about it, they meant the same thing, really.
She had never really thought of her name as interesting. She'd met a couple of other people named 'Taya' before. It wasn't a rare name by all means, but wasn't as common as a name such as 'Sophie' or 'Megan' was. But even though it wasn't very special, it had a nice ring to it, in her opinion.
|| Luke || Luke stared in puzzlement for a moment, before replying to Ryker. Where had he heard the surname 'McAllistor' before? He was sure he had heard it...he was positive he had heard it. For a brief moment he decided he once had met someone with that surname. After all, it didn't seem like a very exotic one, but then he remembered. His parents had told him about a family by the surname 'McAllistor' before. A Death Eater family. Apparently they'd been close friends with Voldemort throughout his years of power. One of his most reliable people to ''get the job done,'' as his father had told him. At the time he remembered he hadn't entirely known what that had meant, until one of his elder sisters had told him. They had been one of many families that worked for the powerful, evil wizard. Could it be that this kid was a blood relation? Luke wouldn't be surprised, if he was honest. He didn't seem like the nicest person to come across, but some people just didn't make the greatest first impressions. Maybe he was having a bad day. Anyway, McAllistor didn't sound like an extremely rare surname, and even if his parents had worked for Voldemort, it wouldn't be his fault.
''Nice to meet you, Ryker,'' Luke replied, ''my name is Luke.''
He held out his hand, slightly hesitant at first, but then shook Ryker's hand.

(LOL oops my bad xD I know my characters I promise xD)
Lyra grinned as he shoved her a bit, she was more of a boy than a girl in all honesty. Then again she was the only sister out of her brothers. The new baby didn't count so, she was the only girl still. "Your not trying for seeker?" The girl was a bit shocked, but that meant this was her chance to step on and take the spot. The year before that Lyra had played keeper, is was fun, but she had always wanted to be a seeker, her mom was a seeker when she went to Hogwarts and the ginger haired girl had always wanted to follow in her mothers footsteps. The girl grinned at the compliment, " Ya think so?" Her head tilted to the side a bit, "Well, I have to training pretty hard and my mom was a seeker, so hopefully that carried over in the genes she gave me." The girl laughed softly, "I'm going to train my tail off till try outs too in case some hot shot newbie comes outta no where. Gotta be prepared." She nodded once and grinned at him.
Leo laughed, "Lyra is the same way, only she is too clingy, has been since she was little. Our mom said she was glued to my hip basically. Like my little shadow." The boy shook his head and chuckled, "Siblings are annoying but in the end I guess I love her." the red haired boy laughed again, "Glad you like the name, Froggy likes the name too huh?" His eyes moved down the frog in his lap who croaked twice in response. "Ya know sometimes I swear her understands me." He rubbed the back of his neck and laughed nervously, "Of course I don't really think that is possibly though there are nothing in books that prove otherwise right?"
The boy wasn't much to make conversation with someone, but when he did he was good at it. A trait that ran in the family he guessed. His sister was good at talking too, she never seemed to stop actually when he thought about it. But he didn't mind, that much at least. " Ya know it's kind of cool, my sister is a Gryffindor fifth year too, she's the one always getting in trouble for playing pranks on people." He rolled his eyes, "You'd think with a prefect brother she'd be a little more, behaved right?"

"Oh my gosh my sister plays pranks on people too, and she's always arguing with the teachers!" Amalthea said in surprise "Maybe it's having Ravenclaw prefects for older siblings that's making them so badly behaved. People expect us to be the same, too. So they either have huge expectations of Ingrid or terrible expectations of me, depending on which of us they met first. "That's totally weird. Maybe our sisters should meet. They'd probably get on really well, or burn down the whole school or something."
It did genuinely sound like their sisters would get on quite well, actually, when she thought about it. They did seem surprisingly similar, and she was quite surprised. She guessed it was just their age, they were acting up. And maybe it was just what happened when a Gryffindor girl had a Ravenclaw prefer for an older sibling. She couldn't really say, to be honest. But it was definitely interesting.

|| Luke ||
''Yeah, I'm a second year,'' Luke confirmed, aware that it didn't make him seem very important. Second-years were only twelve or thirteen, and Ryker seemed quite a bit older. ''What year are you in?'' he asked, out of curiousity. Luke wasn't the best at guessing the ages of other people. To him, anyone above third year was an older kid, and from then onwards he didn't bother with what year they were actually in. But by the way Ryker looked, he could easily tell that this guy was not around the same age as him. He was far too intimidating for that.
They turned a corner and Luke looked around him, and shivered as a gentle gust of wind passed. He noticed the great castle come into view, which was a clear indication that they were really close to the end of the journey now. Luke looked behind him and could just about see the rows of boats in the lake, full of small first-years. Tia would be there right now, and he briefly wondered if she had made the effort to talk to someone, or if she was being her usual self.

"I've got a Cleansweep eleven! I just got it brand new for this year, saved up all my money for it." She said flashing a big grin. She was obviously very proud of her broom. The blue eyed girl looked very pleased with herself and her new broom. "You'd help me? That'd be awesome! I'd love that." The girl said clapping her hands together once a huge smile across her face, it was clear she was more than thrilled to have him help her out and teach her, that and talking about the broom she had purchased herself was a big point of pride for her too."I think its pretty good for what I need it for, it can hit seventy in ten seconds! It cost a lot of money, but it was worth it! But we should train today if we have time! Once we get there ya know." The red haired grin grinned once again she was too happy right now but she couldn't help it.
"Really?! That is so odd!" He said his eyes going wide, her theroy wasn't too bad. The two had a lot in common maybe that was why they acted out, having older siblings you were expected to live up to was a big deal. ore so when they were siblings that were so highly respected by the professors and adults at the school. "Maybe its a bit hard to live up to our example I mean i think I would grow tired of living in someone's shadow as well I guess." Leo nodded maybe Amalthea was right. He looked like he was thinking for a moment then he looked at her and grinned.
"I'd kind of like to see what trouble those too would be getting in if they were paired together, though I don't think the other students would be in very good shape. The level of pranks those two would pull would be point deduction worthy, or worse expulsion worthy. Or they would jut be minor pranks on each other and their friends. Just more often than normal. Hopefully it would be option two." Leo said nodding as he spoke. "Who knows maybe they would mellow each other out. Use all the pranks they had on each other and die down for the rest of the year. Friendly competition sort of thing."

Paxton & Theresa ;;
"Ah," Tessa nodded lightly and leaned back. "Yeah, no, I only have a few Ravenclaw friends and none of them have younger sisters. Most of my friends are Hufflepuff or Slytherin."
"Mm," said Pax, still barely glancing to the two. In fact, it was almost like he was making an attentive sound out of habit - Tessa gave him a bemused look and elbowed him lightly, but was kicked in the leg in return. A miniature kick fight ensued, which Paxton won when Tessa gave a sharp ow.
"Anyway," the sister gave a sharp glance to her brother and returned her gaze to Ingrid, smiling lightly. "It's nice to meet you."

Cyrus ;;
He dipped his head lightly and looked away, now unsure of what to say. His fingers linked and unlinked, and he picked absently at the skin around his nails.
From the corner of his eye, Cyrus could tell that they were almost there. Almost to school, where he'd survive this year and then move on. That was all that mattered. It didn't matter, really, if he made friends now; it wasn't as if they'd stay in touch. He'd heard stories about how people said they'd be together forever and then suddenly, bam. Real life. He didn't feel like going through that.

( okay !! ) Zacharie ;; An odd gaze was firmly on the Thestrals, watching them without any inkling of emotion on his face. They were, as far as Zacharie was concerned, a fact of life. If you saw death, you saw one of them - he was well-aware of this, and so when one of them glanced back at him, his only reaction was to raise an eyebrow in response. It snorted and shook its head and went back to possibly grazing, or washing its leg. One of those. Clearly, it was bored of staying still for so long. Solomon, always out of his carrier, sat next to him with his head resting on the edge of the carriage, watching people go by. The cat was large enough that many mistook him for a wild cat of sorts, and he could not blame them. It was highly likely that, due to the very faint (almost invisible) markings on the black tom, the tall ears and the long legs, he was a Savannah. Margot often went on about how he was obviously closer to Serval than domestic cat; but hey, those were minor details that he didn't particularly care about. "Sol," he warned, "get down." Lazily, the cat's mismatched gaze flicked to his owner, and he exhaled slowly. In a very graceful manner, Solomon moved his head and jumped down onto the floor of the carriage; though this did not do much, as he could still just about see over the side. He sat patiently by Zacharie's feet, and thumped his tail. Yes, agreed the Slytherin in his head, tilting his head to the side, I'd like this carriage to get moving too, but that's not going to happen until someone else appears.Tori entered the carriage, only pausing to stare at the Thestrals, once again admiring the beauty of the creatures, not at all unnerved about the fact that you would have to see someone die in order to see them. Death was simply a fact of life, although painful and hard to understand. She glanced at the Slytherin, not able to fully remember the boys name. Salem let out a small squeak, seeing the other cat, leaping off of her shoulder and over towards the spotted cat. She was much smaller, not much bigger than the size of a six month old cat, her black fur puffed out slightly as she looked curiously at the other feline. "Hi, do you mind if I sit here?" She asked, voice rather quiet now that she had to speak to another person. The Ravenclaw didnt wait to hear the response, sitting down quickly, Phillip still in his cage, the cage on her lap and briefcase leaning against her left leg, the thing trembling slightly again.

Zacharie ;;
The massive cat looked towards the newcomer and her cat, and stared blankly, one ear twitching. Solomon would've left the carriage, but Zacharie's legs blocked him from doing so and so he simply leaned back and tilted his head back. It was often that he was mistaken for a dog solely because of his size; but upon closer inspection, it was quite obvious that he was a cat. His eyes narrowed to slit and he gave a low huff.
Zacharie, on the other hand, did not change or adjust his expression even when the girl appeared. His gaze flicked to her and he stared momentarily, wondering why she'd asked when she was just going to sit there anyway. People were weird. They just...they didn't make sense, they weren't things that could be solved. So, he simply shrugged in a rather delicate manner and turned his head.
"Of course," he replied, accent as thick as ever. One day, he'd focus on lightening it up, but for now he was quite content with how it was.

"Alright. Well, whats your name??" She asked, picking up her own black cat, who let out a mewl of protest, looking over at her with spiteful yellow eyes. "Don't you start with me," She warned, keeping the kitten like creature in her lap, hands clasped around her furry chest, before returning her gaze towards the boy. Admittedly, she was terrible with names and faces, not that she couldn't remember them if she tried, she just never quite made eye contact with people, usually stuck in her own mind, but she was certain he wasn't in her grade, for she was fairly familiar with those. She scratched Salem behind the ears, the black cat closing her eyes halfway in contentment at the treatment as she tried to make small talk, her eyes glancing over to the windows and studying the Thestrals and the hustle outside before returning them to the boy, unable to keep her focus on him.

Zacharie ;;
With an elegant movement, Solomon climbed up onto the seat and watched the scene go behind them, ears perked forward and gaze focused intently. Briefly, Zacharie glanced at him and snorted, before his unnerving gaze returned to the girl and he stared at her blankly. His mouth was a straight line, his eyebrows unmoving; overall, save for the faint rise and fall of his chest, it was almost like he was a statue.
"Zacharie," he said, after a few moment. "And yours?"
Of course, Margot had pushed him multiple times into trying to put up with conversation, and so he did so. He wasn't great at small talk, he didn't particularly enjoy it. It wasn't really anything interesting to him; too basic, too generic, too easy for most people. He didn't like it and he didn't find it easy.

"Victoria. Well, most call me-" Her voice cut off, watching as Salem squirmed out of her hands and next to Solomon, let out a loud mewl, trying to get the much larger cats attention as if she where a kit. She shook her head before frowning, trying to remember what she was saying. "Well, most call me Tori." She told him, eyeing her cat cautiously, clearly not trusting her. Salem had the tendency to try to make friends with animals who didnt want to make friends with her.
