Tori had finally found a compartment to settle down in. The Ravenclaw didn't say much to the others in the compartment, instead she curled up and fell asleep for awhile, Salem pressed against her chest. She only stirred when the carriage shook, and she peered outside, seeing the Thestrals. She smiled momentarily, enjoying the, in her eyes, gorgeous creatures. "We're almost home," she said out loud, in an almost drowsy voice, hand on her suitcase that never left her side. It shook slightly in response to her comment, but she paid no heed to it. (She can be in anyone's compartment really)

( okay !! )
Zacharie ;;
An odd gaze was firmly on the Thestrals, watching them without any inkling of emotion on his face. They were, as far as Zacharie was concerned, a fact of life. If you saw death, you saw one of them - he was well-aware of this, and so when one of them glanced back at him, his only reaction was to raise an eyebrow in response. It snorted and shook its head and went back to possibly grazing, or washing its leg. One of those. Clearly, it was bored of staying still for so long.
Solomon, always out of his carrier, sat next to him with his head resting on the edge of the carriage, watching people go by. The cat was large enough that many mistook him for a wild cat of sorts, and he could not blame them. It was highly likely that, due to the very faint (almost invisible) markings on the black tom, the tall ears and the long legs, he was a Savannah. Margot often went on about how he was obviously closer to Serval than domestic cat; but hey, those were minor details that he didn't particularly care about.
"Sol," he warned, "get down."
Lazily, the cat's mismatched gaze flicked to his owner, and he exhaled slowly. In a very graceful manner, Solomon moved his head and jumped down onto the floor of the carriage; though this did not do much, as he could still just about see over the side. He sat patiently by Zacharie's feet, and thumped his tail.
Yes, agreed the Slytherin in his head, tilting his head to the side, I'd like this carriage to get moving too, but that's not going to happen until someone else appears.

(Ooh, okay, lots of people have free charries. Well I have two charries so I could have one with one of Skul's charries and one with Ink's?
I have a fifteen year old griffindor and her sister, a seventeen-year-old ravenclaw so if either of you have a preference as to which charrie of mine you want to RP with that's fine)

|| Taya ||
Taya nodded as the other guy stated his year. She had guessed that he'd either been a year above her or a year below her, most likely above, and she'd been right. Usually, if Taya spoke to anyone, they were a few years younger than her. Somehow the younger students were much easier to talk to...less intimidating in a way. ''Nice name,'' she muttered when the seventh year told her his name. Was she meant to say that? Was it the social norm to comment on someone's name once they had told you it?''I'm Taya,'' she added, as they turned a corner. It wasn't a very interesting name, unlike Cyrus, but she liked the name. In fact, she'd always adored her name - it was one of the few things she actually liked about herself.
|| Luke || You forgot? Luke thought doubtfully, rolling his eyes behind the Slytherin's back when he unraveled his victims, using another spell and wand movement. It was incredibly hard to believe that he'd simply forgotten that they didn't unravel themselves. Judging by the way this older guy acted, he seemed to have known exactly that if he hadn't unraveled the Hufflepuffs himself they'd be stuck there until someone else helped them. Somehow this guy didn't seem like the sort of target Luke would choose for one of his and Tia's pranks.
''What's your name, anyway?'' he said quickly, in a rather sour tone. Better to keep the conversation rolling, and in a direction that wasn't picking on random students for the fun of it.

(Alright, I'll do a starter for both and you can each just pick one. I don't mind which of your characters I get either so you can just pick)
Amalthea Lux
Amalthea, the seventeen-year-old Ravenclaw prefect, was pacing the train to seek out an empty carriage. Her sister, Ingrid, had wanted to go and sit somewhere different. Probably embarrassed by her big sister.
She was quite shy, and so she entered a quiet carriage, with barely any occupants, and seated herself silently, brushing a piece of blond hair that had escaped from her braid behind her ear, hating the feeling of her fingertips grazing the acne on her skin as she did.
At first she didn't speak to the other occupant of the carriage, too nervous to greet them. She might have been the prefect but she was quite anxious when it came to social situations and she lacked confidence in herself.
-------
Ingrid Lux
Fifteen-year-old Ingrid had also settled in a carriage. She had seperated from her sister, trying to avoid her. She wanted her older sister to get more used to being in social situations without Ingrid to aid her.
Ingrid was considered the prettier of the two sisters - she was taller and curvier and she lacked the acne and glasses her sister possessed. Her blonde hair was cut into a pixie cut, marking her out. Everyone knew the mischievous Ingrid from her blonde pixie-cut and cheeky smile.
"Hey," Imgrid had greeted the other occupant of the carriage as she settled in, being much more confident and outgoing than her sister. "I'm Ingrid Lux, I hope you don't mind me sitting here"

Cyrus ;;
Well, being praised on his name was something that brought Cyrus pride, but he still didn't smile. Instead, he flicked his gaze to the girl again and angled his head to the side. Perhaps it was his version of a smile, but something about him warmed and changed so that he wasn't quite so cold.
"Thank you," he said. "It's nice to meet you, Taya. You have an interesting name."
He'd never met anyone called 'Taya' before - though maybe that was because he'd been kept to family circles. Either way, it really was an interesting name. He hadn't lied about that.

Paxton & Theresa ;;
When a girl who seemed to be younger than them entered the carriage, the twins exchanged glances before they looked to the girl. After a moment, Tessa grinned and leaned back, elbowing her brother in the side only momentarily so that he wouldn't act so rude.
"Hey," she greeted, "don't mind at all. I'm Tessa."
"Pax," he said, without any bothering of stating his full name. He was smiling, of course, because he almost always had that mischievous smile, and it was a relief to Tessa that he had gotten over his bad mood from the train. Then again, maybe it was because he had ditched her.
Either way, Pax shoved his sister over lightly so he had a bit more room, leaning against the side of the carriage and watching as the Thestrals began to move. His sister could not see them, but he watched them with keen eyes and a raised eyebrow - though nothing was truly readable on his face.

Inky, maybe Nate could be in the same carriage as Lyra?)
Ryker easily slipped his wand into a pocket before eying Luke for a little bit. "My name is Ryker, Ryker McAllister." He said, saying it slowly, and watching Lukes face when he told him his last name, since his last name was very widely known, his parents were vicious Death Eaters during Voldemorts time, as well as his grandparents, and most of his close relatives really. He offered Luke his hand to shake. "What's yours, might I ask?"

|Nate|
Nate had been laying his head against one of the windows on the train, half asleep for basically the whole ride, but he woke up instantly when he realized how long they had been on the train, and that he started seeing some familiar features. "We're almost there, guys." He said to the others that were in the cabin with him. And sure enough, as soon as he said that, the train came to a slow halt. Nate smirked slightly. "How did you know that?" One of them asked with a chuckle as they started to gather their things. "Magic." Nate answered simply with a smirk, as the other guys rolled their eyes. Nates group then split up as they went on different carriages that their friends were on. Nate climbed onto the nearest one and settled down on the seat, laying his head back as he looked up at the sky.

Amalthea had looked up, a little surprised to have somebody talking to her. That surprise faded a little when she saw it was the other Ravenclaw prefect. Of course he would want to get to know her - they'd be seeing a lot of each other. It made sense.
"Oh, hey," she smiled, knowing that a smile often his nerves when you were shy like her "Yeah, looks like we'll be seeing a lot of eachother. I'm Amalthea. Amalthea Lux. Good to meet you"
She glanced to his pet - she hadn't been able to help but smile when the creature had climbed on top of Leo's head. It has put her at ease a little, she had to admit. Amusing situations like those always helped her feel a little bit more relaxed.
"That your sister?" she asked when she caught sight of a girl glaring at Leo "She doesn't look too happy"
-----------------
"Nice to meet you guys," Ingrid greeted the twins with a little grin "I don't recognise either of you. What are you, sixth year? Seventh?"
All she could tell was that she didn't recognise them from her own year. She only generally recognised older students if they were from her own house, and neither of these two were in Gryffindor, or even her sister's house, Ravenclaw. So that certainly didn't aid her in being able to recognise them. But she had to ask - she would feel rude if she didn't find out which year they were in. Besides, this was a long train ride, why not try and make some polite conversation to pass the time a little bit?
Pax especially seemed to be quite a little bit like her. Maybe she was wrong, but he had a mischievous smile like her. Maybe he was a bit of a trouble-maker too? She couldn't tell yet, but she knew she would know within a few minutes of conversation. She always did. She had a knack for recognising similar personalities, and she was getting something from this boy.
They both seemed nice enough, anyhow, and she was happy enough to spend the train ride with them. Why not? She couldn't think of any better company, apart from her sister, but she had ditched her for good reason and Ingrid wasn't about to give in.

Paxton & Theresa ;;
"Sixth," said Tessa lightly, "you're, uh, fifth?"
She didn't seem entirely sure of this, eyebrows pulled up. Honestly, she was terrible at remembering the ages of those who weren't in her house. Hufflepuff were close-knit, in her opinion, and when it came to other houses, she...couldn't care less, as gentle as she was.
"She is," Pax confirmed idly, squinting thoughtfully at the Thestrals as they began to move along. The carriage jerked momentarily before it steadied and began to head up towards the castle, and he listened to the sound of the carriages around them. "Imagine that, you forgetting someone's age."
"She's not from Hufflepuff, it's not my fault," she retorted, lightly kicking her brother's foot. "And you're no better. You can't even remember Slytherin ages, so stop that, hypocrite."
A single eyebrow raised and he huffed with what could've been amusement, glancing briefly at Ingrid before refocusing his gaze ahead. He was dimly aware of Tessa's foot connecting with his from time to time, and he made a vague effort to kick her back.

Leo rubbed the back of his neck and he smiled, laughing slightly. "Yeah, that is Lyra, my younger sister. She is mad cause I ditched her." He laughed again, "I just figured it would be best to make new friends and let her talk with her friends ya know, push the bird out of the nest so to speak." The ginger haired boy smiled softly, "Its a pleasure to meet you." He grinned again, the smile the matched his sisters almost exactly. "This," He paused holding the toad up like he was Simba in the Lion King. "This, is Froggy the toad." As if the toad knew the drill he croaked, but shortly after began to wiggle in his hands. Quickly Leonard brought his hands and the toad back to his lap before the sneakly little bugger got away from him again.

"Ah, the younger sister drill," Amalthea responded with a knowing smile "I know it well. I've got Ingrid. She's fifteen and in Gryffindor, and she's totally embarrassed by me. So as if being in totally different houses wasn't enough seperation between the two of us, she's insisted on riding in a different carriage today. So that's probably the way she's going to be all year. She's a nightmare, that one, but I love her to bits."
When she was introduced to the toad, she couldn't help but laugh a little when he told her the name of the creature "You called your pet toad Froggy? Ingenious. I really like that."
Amalthea was generally to nervous to give even genuine compliments, so giving fake compliments was impossible. So if Amalthea complimented you, you could guarantee that she meant it, and you could take it as high praise indeed most of the time, especially coming from someone as shy as she was.
----------
"Yeah, I'm fifth." Ingrid responded "And don't worry, I forget everyone too, so it isn't a big deal. I only know the people in my house and my sister Amalthea's. She's in Ravenclaw."
So these two moved out of the social circles of both girls, in neither the house or year group of either girl. Interesting. It only meant more opportunities to meet new people, which Ingrid couldn't say that she minded, to be honest. She loved meeting knew people, even if her big sister didn't. It sometimes made Ingrid really upset - she often couldn't make any friends for herself because she was either spending all of her time with her sister or in class. She spent more time trying to convince her sister to make friends than she did actually trying to make friends of her own. Which was kind of sad, now Ingrid came to think of it. Not that she minded too much. She loved her sister, and she had a,ways accepted that her sister was shy and that she would need Ingrid's help in some things. But hey, hopefully right now Amalthea was making friends of her very own, without Ingrid's help.
