for the curious: this is still open, although my activity may be spotty as i'm back at school. shoot me a pm or post here if you're interested and don't mind a partner who can't always reply promptly.
heyo, everyone! I'm flo. i'm always looking for opportunities to find more rp partners, so here i am, throwing out a bunch of plots in hopes someone will be interested in them! i'll likely add more later, but i feel like these are enough for now. here is some quick info about me:● my schedule is always a mess, so often i won't be quick to respond. i apologize for that. i do, however, prefer long term roleplays, so i tend not to disappear.
● usually my posts are multiple paragraphs and range from 200 to 600 words, although i'll match post length if you normally write more than that. i would appreciate someone who can give me something to respond to. your posts don't have to be incredibly long as long as i can reply to them!
● your character's gender and orientation doesn't matter to me and lgbtqa+ ocs are welcome! romance isn't the focus of these plots, so our ocs don't need to be compatible. if you want to add in an aspect of romance go for it, although my character won't reciprocate unless our characters have chemistry.
● most of these plots are intentionally open-ended, so duplicates will not have the same characters with the same motives doing the same thing. fell free to plot additional things with me! i love working with people to come up with plots. ALSO: if you really want a certain plot but it's full, hit me up and we'll figure out how to put a different spin on it.
● when suggesting plots: i'm open to most things, but i prefer there to be some sort of action from the get-go so it doesn't turn into polite conversation and feet shuffling a few posts in. currently, i'm most interested in supernatural/fantasy/sci-fi plots (in that order), since that's where my ocs tend to fit in best. i'm wiling to deviate from this, but those are what i tend to do best with and where i have the most fun. the only things i'm unlikely to do are certain shows/movies/books/etc. i have little to no knowledge of, something that i can't see making a particularly interesting roleplay, or something with subject matter that makes me uncomfortable. if your plot goes along with a piece of media i may have heard of it, so just ask! if i have not, you can attempt to explain it to me as long as you don't care that i might not be spot-on in my portrayal of everything. also, if any of my suggestions bring up subject matter you'd rather not write about, let me know so i won't bring it up in the future.
do i wanna know?
With a powerful combination of substantial wealth and ruthless ambition, Muse A is no longer surprised when opportunities to gain power present themselves. For most of their lives, they have always known exactly what to do to make the most of any situation. If they continue to play their cards right, the fortune of their family and an unprecedented amount of social influence are guaranteed.Muse B was born into poverty and could see no easy path to the life they wanted, so they learned to make their own luck. They fought their way almost to the top, and now only one thing stands in their way: Muse A. The two had similar goals and might have been well-matched rivals in a different situations, but Muse B couldn't seem to escape Muse A's shadow.
Then Muse A shows up at Muse B's apartment one night without warning and begs them for a favor. They need money. Muse B manages to gather the funds after a few quick calls to people they had helped out on the past, and Muse A pauses just long enough to ask that the meeting be kept confidential before leaving with the cash. Once Muse B has some time to consider just how unusual the situation was, they realize the cash was negligible when compared to Muse A's fortune. So why the need for panic?
The fact Muse A had stooped so low as to go begging for money would be quality blackmail material; the motivation behind the action would certainly reveal secrets better left undisturbed. Muse B could effectively destroy their opponent's career with a well-placed word. But something keeps them from doing it. Maybe it's a sliver of moral decency, or perhaps it's the knowledge that having control over Muse A would allow them to do almost anything. As it stands, Muse A is indebted to Muse B, who is unwilling to mind their own business now that they know their opponent is hiding something.
it's time to run, it's time to run
The kingdom of Tueberis has been at war with an adjacent kingdom, Caedaris, for little over a year. In the beginning, no one was concerned. Border disputes were common in the region; generally, battles would be fought here and there until one kingdom relinquished its claim on a stretch of moorland or a river, and the problem was solved. A series of bad harvests have left everyone in the region with little food to spare, and the threat of famine has sent both sides scrambling to secure more land. Everyone is growing uneasy as armies are organized and plots to assassinate significant political figures—even royalty—are revealed. The king and queen of Tueberis decide to send their child, Muse A, to Adrudith, a kingdom in the North who has agreed to protect the heir to the throne. Muse B, a bodyguard who has been tasked with protecting the future ruler, accompanies them. There are miles of land between Tueberis and Adrudith, few good roads, and plenty of danger. The journey would be difficult with a pair of skilled travelers, and Muse B’s extensive training can’t make up for Muse A’s complete lack of experience. Muse B just wants to do their job and see the royal arrive safely at Adrudith, but that might be challenging, since Muse A wants to be the one giving orders.

kings among runaways
Muse A is a disillusioned young adult who flees their comfortable life and all the expectations that come with it, deciding life on the street is a better alternative. Muse B is a practiced theif who has no trouble taking care of themselves. They’ve seen firsthand how horrific life can be and know how easy it is to wind up dead in a ditch (or worse) when you’re trying to survive on your own. They take a liking to Muse A, although no one is sure whether they take them under their wing out of kindness or to get some sort of personal gain. For a time, everything is good. Muse A enjoys their newfound freedom, and Muse B finds that there are benefits to having a companion. Then the authorities begin taking notice of Muse B’s unsavory activities, and everything goes downhill. Muse B is desperate not to be caught and can’t risk Muse A being a liability. But this game isn’t fun anymore when lives are on the line, and Muse A finds themselves longing for the security of their former life and can’t understand why Muse B won’t let them go home. (Hint: It’s because having a prestigious person (such as the runaway heir to a large estate) begging for a criminal to be spared might persuade a judge to not require an execution.)

you and i are monsters
Muse A has been cursed, through no fault of their own. It’s just one of the things that happens when your parents don’t listen to a witch’s warning. During the day, they transform into a creature that is truly terrible to behold. Understandably, this has made life difficult for them. They were abandoned at a young age by parents who believed it was the kindest solution, effectively left for dead. But they were found and taken in by a fae who swore to protect them from the cruelty of humans. Some years later, they meet Muse B, an amateur witch and the only human to have spoken to them in years. Instead of being horrified by the curse, Muse B is interested. Curses are never perfect—there’s always a loophole to be found. Perhaps Muse A isn’t destined to be a monster. And, as a witch, Muse B understands how much to hurts to be treated like a freak for circumstances that are beyond your control.
There’s only one problem: the fae that has raised Muse A believes that humans are the monsters, not cursed beings. They want Muse A to have nothing to do with humans, least of all Muse B, who wants to steal them away and turn them into a human permanently.
