Eclipsesky shook his head sadly "Not really, so we're really going to have to keep our eyes sharp." he mewed, cursing that he hadn't been older when the clans had been here previously. "If you see anything that vaguely looks like a herb... please tell me or Dawnshadow." he mewed to the two warriors.

Thistlestalk nodded once more "I will let Cedarstar know. May Starclan guide your rebuilding as well." he mewed before leading the patrol away back towards their home. Once further away from the clan he turned to his clanmates with a smile "Let's go home!"

Poppyflame smiled and stood up, giving a light purr, “I wonder if the clan has gone back to camp yet.” She mewed, turning towards the entrance.

Stormfury purred, thankful to be going home. "I'm not sure...it's hard to tell if they would've gone home yet or not. We might as well go through Fourtrees, it's on the way."
Stormfury nodded in agreement, thankful to be going home. "The smoke has been clear for awhile now." he said, glancing towards the pine forest. "Why don't we go back to camp?" suddenly his heart sunk at the thought of what would await them. Was there even a camp left to go back to? And he would have to tell Cloudscar about Swallowfeather. A lump rose in his throat and he swallowed it.

Breezefoot just rolled his eyes at the warrior. “You’re being selfish. That’s not true now come on.” Dawnshadow followed after her mentor. “Do you know where to find them outside the territory?” Dashclaw scoffed, his voice a low growl as he followed after the patrol. "As if you would know." |

Fawnspots glanced back and forth between Breezefoot and Dashclaw. Whatever had happened to get Dashclaw back to moor-runner status, he clearly wasn't very happy about it. Trying to put on a positive air she dropped back to padd along next to Dashclaw.

Wolfstep padded along with the patrol, shaking out his fur as he tried to focus on their task and remove Dashclaw's bad mood from his mind. They had a job to do.

Eclipsesky padded back into camp, satisfied with the small bit of herbs the patrol had found. He quickly padded over to Stagpaw to check on the apprentice, he had to prepare for moonstone tonight. "Stagpaw?" he called quietly.

"Stagpaw?" he called quietly. Stagpaw had been awake for a while, sitting silently and simply staring off. When the tom approached he turned his gaze toward him, his eyes focusing after a few moments. "Oh... hello Eclipsesky." |

Dawnshadow followed her mentor and despoiled her herbs in the pile. She then went to grab a little ginger they had found before going to look for Swiftstar.

The lithe tom looked away from the medicine cat, staying silent for a while before he forced himself to his paws and gave a nod. "I'm better, thank you Eclipsesky." Moving away from the tom he stopped by his leader, his eyes shining with determination. "Sir, there's something I wish to speak with you about when you have the time." |

He couldn't afford to have a coughing attack now, not when the clan needed him. "Yes Stagpaw?" he asked when the apprentice addressed him. "I have some time now, if you would like to talk"

"I have some time now, if you would like to talk" "I was out of it for a bit sir and I'm sorry for that. As you know I came from a land away from here and had run because of a fire that killed my family. What I did has stayed in my mind for a long time and, with your permission, I would like to journey back to my original home, find the bones of my fallen family, and give them a proper burial and vigil." (I also had an idea that he has a sister who survived and he finds her and brings her back to the clan. Of course I want to clear this all with you first.) |

(Jekyll this kind of thing should probably be brought up before the conversation happens. Swift would be pretty stupid to let an apprentice go on a quest on his own. You could perhaps have the sister find the clan and join if that's okay with Fire.)

Swiftstar's ears twitched in surprise, and then confusion. Taking a moment to think he furrowed his brow and began to speak
"Stagpaw, I understand that your family means a lot to you, and to every cat in this forest. However when you joined WindClan, you agreed that this clan would be your family and you would protect them at all costs. Now you're saying that you want to leave WindClan, right after a devastating fire no less when we need as much support here as possible, to go back to the family you left." He paused for a moment as if thinking, then shook his head slightly. "I'm sorry Stagpaw, but I cannot let you go off alone, and especially not when your clan needs every paw here to help rebuild."

Stagpaw's eyes had a flicker of sadness pass through them before he steeled himself and gave a firm nod. "Yes Swiftstar. But once we have recovered I will ask you once more. I do not wish to leave the clan, only to go and give my family the proper burial they deserve. For now I'll try to find some prey for the clan." With that the tom turned and padded away from the makeshift camp the clan had settled in, his jaws open to catch any scent of prey.

Swiftstar nodded, watching the apprentice walk away. He couldn't let the apprentice go on his own, no matter the time of year, but he understood how important family was. He tapped his tail against the ground and frowned slightly. It was something for him to think on.
