Bloodrose (Skip to when Manse's shift is over? :3) ((Sure ^.^)) When his half hour was up, Manse grabbed his coat and bag and headed over to Kai's table, glad to see the author was still there. 'Where you off to then?' He asked, smiling at him warmly. 'I live a few blocks over that way.' He pointed in the general direction, before meeting the authors gaze to wait patiently to see what he'd do.

Bloodrose Like the first time, Kai had zoned out. When Manse left earlier, he'd taken up a blank piece of paper and started writing where he remembered leaving off. After a moment or two, he looked up at Manse with that lonely blue eye of his, smiling a little. Moving to collect his things, and going to say sorry to that waitress, he said as he came back "I don't have anywhere in particular I need to get to, so I have time. We can head to your place, since it's closer, if you don't mind terribly?" It was an innocent, friendly suggestion. Plus, Manse still had Kai's story, and he'd want it back before the day's end. The author would make copies though, and give Manse that so he could finish. Once Kai was ready to go, he looked at the other male again, making sure he was ready too.

Manse felt a vague jolt of worry; had he cleaned up? He never got visitors so didn't feel the need to clean much. 'That sounds great.' He replied, tugging on his coat and pulling his bag over his shoulder, leading the way outside. He walked at Kai's side, glancing around the dark streets; traffic had slowed considerably, one or two cars passing them every ten minutes or so. He glanced up at the moon, noticing it was waning, then looked back at Kai. 'Where abouts do you work?' He curiously asked. 'Are you a professional author?'

Bloodrose"I'm not professional," Kainder admitted "I don't want my stories published, as they're mainly just for me." Everyone usually had something negative to say about his books, so why publish them officially? To answer about his work, he answered, brushing some hair out of his eyes "I make my money off a candy and tea business I own, as weird a combination as it sounds. Work on my own time, mainly at my house, so I get to write when I want." Looking up at waning moon for a second as well, then looked around. He laughed a little, deciding "You're one of the rare people who doesn't have anything to say about changing my story or anything negative about it either." He waited a moment before asking "So, what about you? Do you have any hobbies outside of your actual job?"

𝕊’𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕖 (I'd rather it be dropped than have it go on when we're not both %100 motivated to rp x3 It's honestly okay if that's what you prefer) 𝘨𝘰𝘭𝘥𝘦𝘯 𝘴𝘶𝘯 (Cool x3 Any plot suggestions, or do you want to go ahead and build one with me?)

( for some reasong I'm really tempted to have this set in the late 18-hundreds/early 19-hundreds. I don't know where it came from, but it feels like it could be pretty interesting. I'm cool with a modern setting as well though, if that's something you'd prefer. )

𝘨𝘰𝘭𝘥𝘦𝘯 𝘴𝘶𝘯 (I've yet to try an rp in a specific earlier setting, but I suppose I can give the early 19 hundreds a go. I just will be a little slow in adjusting to it. Is that alright? ;_; If you no likey idea, you can say so.)

He waited a moment before asking "So, what about you? Do you have any hobbies outside of your actual job?" He listened intently as Kai spoke. 'Candy and tea isn't a strange combination.' He mused. 'In fact id say it's quite a nice one.' He smiled, turning a corner and heading down the street, blowing warm air into his cupped hands. 'I volunteer at a nearby dog shelter, and I'm training to become a veterinarian at the practice a few streets over.' He said, waving his hand. 'I like running, and I've got a band going at the moment; I'm the singer. Oh, and I have a volleyball team too.' He smiled widely. 'We almost made it to nationals last year.' Manse looked down at Kai. 'Do you play any sport? Did you do any at school?'

Bloodrose"I'll admit, I love animals, but... dogs, wolves, canines in general scare me," he admitted, looking down "I had an incident with a... dog, when I was little." When Manse gave more information about himself, he listened curiously. "You're so much more active than I am," Kai decided. When asked if he did any sports, he answered "I don't do any sports now, but I used to wrestle and run cross country when I was in school." His uncle, who was his legal guardian when he was younger, told him he needed to stay fit. Kai didn't mind though. Looking around as they walked, he ran a hand through his soft blonde hair, something he did when nervous or uneasy. He was feeling a little spooked, remembering something. However, he eased up a minute later, saying "At least you're really social, probably do well with people, being around them a lot. I get shy when someone just asks me for the time!"

'I feel more comfortable when I'm part of a pa- friend group.' Manse replied, his word-transition so smooth it was barely noticiable that he'd stuttered. 'I actually own a dog.' He then said, looking warily at Kai. 'She's a huge sweetheart though, and still a puppy, so she can't hurt you in the least. Maybe I can help you with your fear through her.' He smiled warmly at him, turning a second corner onto his street, heading towards an average looking apartment block. 'I'm sorry I don't own a house.' He then nervously said. 'I can't really afford it right now- and I don't have a roommate.' He chewed his bottom lip and began to make his way up the stairs to his flat.

𝘨𝘰𝘭𝘥𝘦𝘯 𝘴𝘶𝘯 (Same, same x3 Well, go ahead and get started? I'll have something up soon) Bloodrose"My knowledge of myths seems to drive a bunch of people away," he said, frowning slightly "So I don't get the opportunity to get to know people a lot, and they eventually find out about my stories anyway." Kai hesitated when Manse mentioned a dog. A puppy though? It would still make him uneasy, but the author could manage. When they turned the corner, he decided "I can... try. A puppy isn't too scary..." Even though puppies grew into big scary dogs. When Manse apologized, he said with a frown "You don't have to apologize, it's okay. Even though I make good money, I live in an apartment too. I can't take care of a regular house to save my life." Kai also had a spoiled Sphinx to take care of, as well as two small businesses to manage, things needing to be bought.

Kai also had a spoiled Sphinx to take care of, as well as two small businesses to manage, things needing to be bought. Manse relaxed when Kai said he lived in an apartment as well, smiling at him with relief. 'I feel a little underwhelming sometimes, as if at my age I should be in a better place than what I am.' He took off a necklace he was wearing, the pendant actually his flatkey. He slid it into the lock and carefully opened it, glancing around to ensure nothing strange was lying around, before he walked in. Almost immediately a needy whine rose up from the living-area, and he chuckled to see his tiny border-collie puppy's nose stuck through the bars of her cage, her two little paws outstretched between them and desperately pawing at the air. 'Awh, baby, did you miss me?' He cooed, walking over to the little thing and releasing her from her confinement. She released a gently yip and stretched her body up his leg. He scooped her into one arm, as she was small enough for him to do so, before walking cautiously over to Kai. 'Kai, this is Bonnie. She's nine weeks old.' Bonnie wriggled slightly, before he turned her onto her back and she lay limply where she was, minute stub of a tail wagging ferociously at her new visitor.

BloodroseKai looked at the little dog. She was cute, but dogs were dogs. Still, he managed to say "Hi, Bonnie." Even managed a nervous smile. The author looked up at Manse, saying "At least she's trying to be friendly. I just... need to work up to it. I'm use to my cat, Juliet. Sometimes I think she actually discourages friendship." She was mean to everyone but Kai, or hostile at least. Looking down at Bonnie again, it took a lot of his courage to ask "Can I... hold her?" Start small, right?

'Cup her butt and lie her on her back against your arm.' Said Manse, intent to keep his baby safe before giving her to him carefully. She barely moved at all, appearing to sense Kai's nerves, her soft plushy fur warm against his arm. She blinked bright blue eyes up at the author, stubby tail still ferociously wagging a tail him. 'See? Harmless and adorable.' Manse grinned, before cleaning up his apartment a little, humming under his breath as he adjusted the pillows on his sofa and cleaned away a few empty bottles of pop.

BloodroseKai did as told, holding the small animal gently, so he wouldn't drop her. His lonely blue orb looked down at Bonnie's bright ones. Feeling a little proud of himself, he smiled down at the border-collie for another moment before his head turned to watch Manse clean a little. The smaller man said as he looked around "This place isn't so bad. I like small homes, more than big ones." When Kainder was young, he pretty much lived in a cardboard box. So anything was better than that to him. Looking down at the puppy again, he asked curiously "How long have you been living here?"
