((I'm actually going to start this really mundane at first and have my dude work in a restaurant or something ahaha))
Manse muttered under his breath as he quickly pinned yet another order to the cork-board behind the bar, half-running to get to the kitchens as he heard the insistent tinkling of the bell as the chef called for him. 'Like a dog,' he thought to himself, feeling a spark of annoyance at it. He slid into the kitchen and swept up the plates that he needed, marching back out and putting on a charming smile; approaching the table he was waiting. He handed over their food and then repeated his previous actions as the bell tinkled again.
Once all of the food was out he began to clean tables, swiftly putting everything back into its place and ensuring ye restaurant was running as smoothly as it always did; especially with him on watch. Sure that the orders were finished for now, he retreated to the bathroom to relieve himself and take five, running water over his face and then sighing as he looked up at the mirror. He locked gazes with the grey-eyed man in the mirror, and untied his hair from its bobble to comb through it with his fingers.
Messy, as usual.
He swept it back again and tied it into a neater bun, washed his hands, and dried them under the hand dryer, trying to ignore the ache in his feet and legs. Once done he took a deep breath to calm himself, and dived back into work outside.

𝕊’𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕖 (Sorry for bad starter ;_;) Parks. Parks were always good. Horace liked parks. Parks meant people, and people meant those tasty delicacies called souls. A smile split his brown-skinned face, as he took a walk through the open spacing, the nighttime moon shining down on him. He saw a couple taking a cheesy walk under the night sky, easy pickings. Horace felt claws sliding up under his nails, drool spilling from his mouth. No! No, was what he told himself, returning to normal. Hurting humans was bad. Horace felt his belly rumble, hungry for souls though. The male watched a squirrel running by. Horace crouched, holding a hand out. Graying smoke left his glove covered palm, the squirrel taking one sniff and coming toward him. The dazed animal looked up at Horace, who smiled before grabbing the squirrel. The poor thing squealed as the life was sapped out of it, falling apart. A white wisp slid from its mouth, and Horace smiled as he licked up the small treat. However, it wasn't enough. He needed a massive amount of small souls to satisfy his hunger, or one human soul. Horace didn't hurt humans anymore though... so he sighed. Yawning, he pushed up the shades on his face a little. Even though it was night, he used them to hide his eyes. Maybe there was food somewhere else. Human food helped sometimes. Horace reluctantly left the park. It was hard, to ignore his hunger. He wanted to be good though, so he needed to deal with it. Scratching his chin, he shook his head and sped up his pace.

Bloodrose (It's bad, I know ;_;) Kainder was busy. Very busy. He was busy writing a book. About what many people liked. Monsters, hunters, and fantasy galore. He, in fact, was an author. One obsessed with fantasies and alike. He worked on them a lot, currently on his third book. Sad part was, he refused to get them published. Kainder, Kai for short, wrote his stories for himself mainly. Loved studying about such lore. His real job, actually, was making candy and teas. Yup. Had a small business going, and made good money off of it because he was stingy with his recipes. Anyway, back to present. Kai was lugging a draft he had along with him. He decided to work on it a little as he went out to eat, alone as usual. The slender young man picked out a restaurant a friend recommended to him. Writing as he walked, he pushed the door open with his shoulder. Ooh, yes, the dragon should eat the queen! His eyes lit up as he wrote it out, graphics and all. Briefly did he look up from his work. The restaurant being one where you seated yourself, he found a table to sit at. As he waited for service, he went back to his draft, writing away. Kai blinked, telling himself "How stupid of me! Dragons only die by sword forged in their blood! He can't be poisoned by her!" He erased his light writing, rewriting. Now, he totally forgot he hadn't called anyone over, just sitting there hunched over. His blonde hair was on the shaggy side, with blue eyes to match. Well, his right eye anyway. He kept the left of his face covered with a bandana, for reasons hidden. Kai shrieked when he realized something again, throwing his pencil. He cringed though, when it hit a waitress, who glared slightly before picking up the pencil and taking it back to him. Don't blame you! Authors could get very excited and emotional! Kai smiled shyly at the woman before simply going back to his writing, saying to himself as he scribbled "Yes, yes, I will grant you the sword, Lord Edmund! Dragons are mean, even though they're sooo awesome!" He was a grown man, yet he was acting like some fangirl who was writing about her crush. Well, Kai was in love with mythical creatures, so...

((He reminds me of myself when I get an idea for my own books ahaha!!! I once yelled right in the middle of sixth form and I got so many strange looks, I was so embarrassed))
Manse couldn't help his gaze being drawn towards the new customer, struggling to keep his expression neutral and not laugh as they shrieked and flung a pencil at his co-worker. He gathered his energy and dug out his order-pad and pen, before walking over and tapping lightly on the table. 'Hello, sir, are you eating today?' He calmly asked, flashing him a handsome smile as he readied his pen on the page. Man; Manse simply couldn't wait to get out of work tonight. 'We have a few specials on tonight, if you're interested.' He added, straining to not allow his curiosity to try and look at what the male was writing.

BloodroseKainder literally ignored Manse for about thirty seconds, because he was too absorbed in his writing. However, he eventually looked up, visible blue eye widening a little. Kai had that terrible habit of staring, especially if what he looked at immediately caught his interest. When he finally realized he had been staring, he looked down with bright red cheeks, saying "Erm... what are your specials?" As he waited on an answer, he glanced down at his story. Not wanting to risk the waiter seeing any of the contents, he scooped up the papers and stacked them, only page visible being the "cover" that he drew, which was a small dragon facing off against a big, furry canine, that stood on two legs. A werewolf. Kai made it one of the villains though, because werewolves scared the crap out of him the most, even though many would agree that there's much worse creatures to read about. "What drinks do you have?" He found himself asking, even allowing his hand to eventually hide the cover. Manse probably thought he was a weirdo, talking to himself and throwing things. Kai wanted to go back to writing, but he was hungry too... maybe he should've stayed home and eaten his own merchandise. He wouldn't be cherry-faced and embarrassed right now if he had.

Manse noticed the cover and his lips tugged upwards at the corners with amusement. His anatomy was strangely precise, and he felt a weird nervousness run through him as he locked gazes with the author. 'Steak and red wine; rack of ribs, lamb shanks.' He listed their specials. 'It's meat night.' He said, smiling charmingly, wanting him to hurry and choose already. 'And you can have any drink you wish, sir. We have wine, rum, gin, ale, vodka...' he continued to list, before patiently waiting for the customer to give his answer. Manse couldn't help but wonder what this author was writing about; whether his book was any good; whether he had any idea of what the creatures he was writing about were like.

BloodroseKainder thought for a moment before placing hi order, medium rare steak with red wine. After ordering, he suddenly got another spurt of muse, deciding to just resume writing, muttering something about wolves and silver. And, for the second time, he found his pencil flying out of his hand as he squealed in sudden joy, throwing his hands up. And yes, it almost hit the same waitress again. He paused though, coming back to reality and seeing Manse was still there. His blue eye held that embarrassed look, and he muttered as he looked down, grabbing another pencil as the woman decided to keep his first "Sorry. An author gets into the story, you know?" After that, he was too shy to say anything else, completely shutting down, an arm curled around his papers to try and keep it from view. However, some of it was visible. A scene of the story being the dragon devouring the human queen, sharing her with what was most likely that werewolf on the cover. Then, it was written that the wolf's side was pierced by a silver arrow, yet it was poisonous all the same. The classic scene of men against beast was being written as Kai sat there, hand moving quickly as he wrote out the fate of the characters, soon forgetting to keep his story hidden from view. Back to remembering that he was still in public, talking to himself and making random faces of excitement.

Back to remembering that he was still in public, talking to himself and making random faces of excitement. Manse had struggled not to jump and then burst out laughing at Kai's second outburst, grinning at the waitress and handing her the males order to pin up, rather interested in the strange character that had come to the restaurant today. He noticed the writing and silently began to read, nose wrinkling up at the characters 'sharing' the queen, and then he felt a phantom pain in his side as the werewolf was shot, and poisoned. A shiver ran up his spine. 'Why is the werewolf the bad guy?' He eventually asked, curiously sliding to sit in the seat opposite the author. 'Wolves are very social, gentle animals.' He said, leaning his chin on his hand and raising an eyebrow. His own grin was wolffish in itself.

Bloodrose He jumped horribly in his seat when Manse spoke, speaking of his story. Oh well. No use in trying to hide it now. Sighing, Kai took a moment before answering. "Werewolves are a mix of God's most dangerous animals," Kainder said simply, still writing "Man and wolf. I-... my uncle told me he's seen one. Tore up my aunt and cousin, he said, just because it could. The police claimed it was just dogs though." Kai seemed to pause, brow bending. He could remember it, as what he said was an obvious lie, more or less. The large mass of fur and fangs. The speed. The pain. The shot. His uncle yelling. Kai tensed so horribly it looked like he was about to have a seizure. There was the ghost of the pain returning to the left side of his face. How that thing seemed to smile before his uncle blew its brains out with silver bullets. "Plus, the man in it gives it that boost of viciousness regular wolves will never have. The viciousness of lacking the ability to care," he decided "The perfect hunters." Eventually, he finished his gory scene, the werewolf turning on the dragon and letting him get killed to ensure his escape. Yet, the creature was weak from the silver. Kainder added "Plus, this werewolf hates the kingdom for killing his wife and children, who weren't even like him. Just because of what he was, the king thought they were at the very least witches, vile enough to love an inhuman creature."

Just because of what he was, the king thought they were at the very least witches, vile enough to love an inhuman creature." Manse listened intently to the authors story as he explained to him why, before curiously tilting his head. 'Man is one of the only creatures on this earth to have emotions as complex and advanced. Second only to man are dolphins, wolves. Dogs. Social animals.' He spoke 'man' as though he weren't one himself. His lips turned up again into a smile as Kai told him the last part; 'then why is he the villain?' He asked, leaning back in his chair. 'Surely the kingdom is the villainous one, for murdering innocent people, and judging someone for who they are.' He folded his arms around his chest, feeling a slight sense of triumphance. 'Is the werewolf not the hero, bringing justice to the minority; the other werewolves?'

Bloodrose"The kingdom killed to protect themselves," Kainder said with a blink "The werewolf killed to avenge, then pushed past that. He also judges man, as they judged him. All he did was rally a horde of flesh-eating beasts who want to slaughter man." Sighing softly, he brushed some soft blonde hair back as he sat back in his chair, looking over at Manse. He then asked "Why so curious? Usually people call me weird for going into such detail. They just want those idiot dogs from Twilight that can't comprehend proper clothing." Kai smiled at the thought. Someone was interested in his story somewhat. Toying with his pencil a bit, he murmured "Most just don't want the truth." His books were full of lore and knowledge on all of the creatures mentioned. It was so much that it was offputting on how much he knew. Kai didn't care though. He believed in it all, and that's all that mattered.

'I just am, I suppose. I enjoy reading.' He laughed softly at the insult towards twilight; he hated those stupid books and movies. 'I think I lost count how many shirts that weirdo tore.' He joined in on the jest, grinning widely. 'I suppose it's because we've reentered an era of romance, action and sci-fi, and moved away from the gothic genre.'

Bloodrose"Not necessarily," Kai decided "Does a hunter think his practices are evil, as the doe does?" If one could not understand what he was getting at, then oh well. When Manse spoke again, he nodded in agreement, saying "That's why I write stories of the old specifically. Don't get enough spotlight anymore." Still writing, he then asked "So, are they just stories to you, stranger? Seeing is believing? Or are you a little more own minded?" Kainder didn't care if he sounded like a nut. As said before, he himself believed and that's all that mattered. The young male managed a small smile, reaching to the bandana that covered the left of his face to adjust it a little, finding that it was a little too loose.

What you could call...' he paused for effect, appearing as though he was thinking carefully about his answer. 'A wolf in sheeps clothing.' He said. He glanced up as the chef rang the bell for Kai's food, and he slowly stood, winking at Kai before disappearing behind the bar, and into the kitchen. He emerged a few minutes later, carefully balancing the meal in one hand, glass and wine in the other, gently setting them both down on the table before Kai, and then sitting down again. He was finding himself heavily amused and increasingly interested in this strange character. He felt like teasing him more.

Bloodrose (Short post because I'm about to get real busy) "You must not be wearing your sheep right now then," Kainder told Manse when he sat back down "You give off a vibe much too bold." He began eating, saying after a minute "I wonder if you realize you're a head turner." He was going to set his story somewhere safe, as not to get anything on it. However, he hesitated. Then, he offered it to Manse to read if he wanted, continuing softly "Here... you're among the minority, seeming interested." His blue eye gained a friendly look, but still did Kai give off that growing signature shy vibe of his. The smaller figure even managed a smile. It was usually hard for him to talk to strangers so suddenly, but this man liked his story idea, so it was easier to talk to him.

((It's alright, I'm going to bed soon ^.^)) 'Perhaps my boldness is my sheepskin.' He replied, enjoying this little game, until Kai seemed to shoot him an unknowing compliment. He blinked, taken aback, and then immediately became flustered. A head turner? Was that in terms of looks? Did Kai think he was- Now the waiter seemed almost as shy as Kai did, laughing nervously as he accepted the story. 'I'd love to read it.' He said, his playful mischievousness replaced with a more humble attitude. 'Do you perhaps have a phone number?' He then asked, sliding his phone across the table. 'So I can contact you about it?'

BloodroseKainder blinked when Manse seemed to become flustered, a little surprised himself. His comment about being head turner had indeed been a compliment, now that he thought about it, for two reasons. One, for the bold "aura", like he had just said. And two, because of his looks. Kai was a gay man, and wouldn't deny that he was attracted to other men. He smiled brightly when Manse accepted the story. Kai stared for a minute when the request for a his number was put out. The blonde said, as he took the phone to enter it "Yeah, I do." He put it under the name 'Kainder Silverstein', sliding the phone back after. After he did, he dented his meal a bit more. It took another moment before he finally asked "So, what's your name, now that the opportunity to ask has come up?"

Manse opened his phone to check the number, trying really hard not to bang his head on the table when he saw this guys last name. Was the universe laughing at him right now? He flicked through the pages of the story as Kai continued to eat. 'My name is Manse Adolphus-Conall.' He said, dropping a text with his full name for Kai to put into his own contacts, before tucking his phone into his pocket. Pausing for a moment as he examined him, he couldn't deny that the author was a head turner himself; despite his strange outbursts. It was probably why manse had been drawn over. 'And I get off in...' he checked his watch. 'Half an hour.' He gave him one of his signature charming smiles and got to his feet, walking away to clear some tables.
