Ah, the cursed one-save-only. I don't delete recent playthroughs. When possible, if I want to restart, I transfer my Pokémon to another game. If it's a really old, bad playthrough with no emotional attachment, I'll just delete it.
I picked Totodile on SoulSilver, to be fair. He is adorable !! All the Johto starters are very cute. It's a difficult decision.

I'm emotionally attached to many of my pokemon, as it turns out. I want to be able to restart some of them though, or I'm never going to complete this Pokedex thing. And I'd need an AR to get the thing to get at Darkrai. Yeah, and they all have great final evolutions. Like the Gen 1 starters. And the Sinnoh starters. I don't know what happened. Have you seen what they think's going to happen to Litten?

I like Serperior. And I like Samurott by itself, but I don't think it really works as a progression from Dewott - I feel like there was a lot of wasted potential there. It should have stayed bipedal, imo.
I have... I really hope they don't... do that. He looks fire/fighting, and I'm just... I'm not doing that again. Besides, is it too much to ask to have a Fire starter that stays fully on all fours? I want him to be a big angry fire lion. Still, I was Team Popplio from the beginning.

Serperior's awesome, and I loved Oshawott, and Dewott, though I agree with you - I'm not really sure about "otter otter SEA LION". I didn't like the way they went with Fennekin either, which was a shame, since that's the first time I went with the fire type straight away. And then Chepsin was just... no.
The Rowlet one looks great, and the Popplio's cool, but Litten, just. We've done fire-fighting so many times, and people are just going to ship it with Tony the Tiger and *flails*. I wanted massive angry fire-tiger, since we had a lion with Solgaleo.

Right, I'm off on my adventure now... why is Professor Elm giving me his phone number...

True, fire tiger would be really nice. I'm not a Delphox fan either, though the Chespin line is kind of endearing in how weird it is. I went for Froakie, and I've never regretted that decision.
I love Solgaleo! I'll be getting Sun for sure.
Poor Professor Elm, he's completely overshadowed by Professor Oak in his own game. Also, did you know that most gym leaders are named after flowers in the Japanese version? We have, say, Gardenia and Iris, but only a few. I kind of wish they'd kept that theme in the English version, it fits very neatly with the tree-professor thing.

Slight panic thinking I'd messed something up for those bonus scenes in Symphonia, as the NPC I thought should be there is not present, but having thought about it I think he shows up a little later in the story. I should be ok. whew

And Delphox could've been so great... Ah, I was torn between Froakie and Fennekin but I didn't know what they evolved into. Ah, I think I'm going for Moon. I was stuck but I always get the "blue" game, so.
Awww, that's really nice, we should definitely have kept that. And now, this guy, "don't go in the tall grass" like he thinks I have an accursed choice.

Fennekin definitely had a lot of potential. And I actually kind of like Braixen, too, it's just... Delphox. I don't think I have any specific theme about which game I choose... I think I've gone for the 'blue' one every other time, though, actually, aside from Pearl. And I don't think Yellow counts as either.
At least Professor Rowan was pretty chilled about the tall grass thing. He's like a cool grandpa.

Pokemon? *strokes imaginary beard* Back in my day, we played Pokemon on these blockish computers of sorts. It was all in black and white and had a very simple map. Now we didn't have all this fancy stuff you kids have. We didn't flick our screens to catch pokemon, we actually pressed on multiple buttons to get a single pokemon

We still press the buttons. It's just Go that uses the screen.

Do you play any of the newer games? Soft: Teach me your secrets. What else is hidden under that truck? (I know it's a glitch, but hey.)

Not even mentioning the 0:00 complete time. Took me ages to get that, and that sounds strange. Took me ages to get a short time...
I think I had an older one, but not last week when I did that.

Eh, sometimes. I'm not a huge gamer person though. I've been meaning to play the Pokemon Go, but my phone won't accept it

Braixen was OK, I recall, but I wish they'd stuck with four legs, gone properly foxy. I didn't really notice it until I was trying to work out whether to go Sun or Moon, and I was working out which I'd gone for before, and it was Diamond-Platinum-Black-AlphaSapphire-X-Blue. I don't think Yellow or Platinum or Emerald would really count - they're sort of special editions? I also played Pokemon Ranger for the first time, and I think the previous owner might not have transferred their Manaphy.
Yeah, I liked him. But then it started being Oak that you'd go to again.
'Pologies for poof, it was food time and SoulSilver took so long to save.

I went Yellow-Gold-Ruby-LeafGreen-Pearl-Platinum-SoulSilver-Black-Black2-X-Alpha Sapphire, in order of when the games came out, but I played them out of order, so like I played AS before the original Ruby. I consider 'my' gen 3 game to be Sapphire because of that.
