broken Auransky Kuragehime --cato phoenix Kid noticed Ran's look, of course. "Stop looking at me like I have all the answers!" he snapped. At once he regretted it because snapping at a critical point would do no one any good. He backed up several more steps, hand on his card gun. Mikaele's sword would probably be more effective. "I'm still suggesting we run anyway," he muttered. Ran was still looking at him, like she wanted to ask him something or have him do something. Kid looked over, eyebrows raised. "What?" He tried to keep an eye on Femt's monsters but he was a bit distracted. Dangerously so.

(Good luck on your speeches!) "I would not use it on exposed skin if it was," Vanessa said simply. "If you wish to smell nice through uses other than soap and water I have something in my bag that might be useful." Her lips pressed together. "I do not like relying so heavily on my flasks and vials for every little thing, however. It would be much simpler if there was some hint on where we were supposed to go to get out of this place." It was one of the first signs of a desire to get out of this place and back to her world that Vanessa had expressed. "But," she said, letting the statement go rather fast. "Until then I suggest that we head for the center of town. That seems more likely to contain suitable drinking water as it would be easier to fan out to the surrounding areas." It wasn't exactly true, considering modern technology, but looking like she knew what she was doing was part of the moral support. "Come on," and then she broke into a trot. "Best not stick around out in the open to long. You wouldn't want to meet our little fire-demon's mother, now would you?" "True the water may cause rashes." Liz hummed and when the viles were brought up Liz said "Well we don't need it anyways. Smelling bad isn't the worst thing ever. I'll just make sure not to lift my arms around you." she chuckled slightly at her small joke. She then felt a pang of homesickness just thinking of getting out but she let it drop so she could think on it later. "Sounds like a good idea." She said smiling but it soon fell at the idea of meeting the creatures parents "Off we go then! Burning to death isn't how I plan to go out." she then marched after her. She looked at the buildings and wondered who had live here before hand. "So I never asked where you were from. I feel like I'm always yammering on about cities while you don't talk" Liz asked not wanting to walk in silence and hoping to find out more about her friend. "Ha ha," said Vanessa dryly at Liz's joke. The accent was heavy, as usual, but got practically crushing when full of sarcasm. How Liz actually 'planned to go out' Vanessa didn't ask. Probably at home, in her bed, at the age of 97, if she could guess. As they continued moving Vanessa scanned the building, distrustfully trying to keep them all in view at once. This wasn't a good plan but she at least felt she was somewhat prepared. She wasn't running in completely blind. She had a couple of eyes that had walked in this far, though with how few creatures she'd bitten she didn't want to risk them. "You ask about me a lot," she said to Liz. For a while she didn't answer. Vanessa didn't talk a lot and that was how she liked it. She much preferred to deal with a situation and not the small talk. "I come from Earth," she said. "Currently in residence in the United States. I have a small flat in Wisconsin but I don't stay their often. I am, you could say, a creature-collector for higher. I am well versed in the qualities of mythical creatures and plants and what they can be used for." And she ended there, looking over at Liz and instead asking, "And you? You mentioned you were also in America?"

King slowly started to recover consciousness, and he sat up quickly, his orange-brown eyes widening. "Wh-Where...?!" he gasped. He didn't recognize his surroundings, and the memories rushed back to him. Dammit... I was doing something important! he thought as he stood up and proceeded to punch a tree, though it wasn't very effective to the tree, but extremely satisfying nonetheless. He punched it again, trying to let his anger out, but this time, it didn't have the same satisfying factor.

He was returning the gaze, while it felt briefly intimidating, it was also a trap in itself to stare at him when he stared back. Then he spoke up, and she puffed her cheeks as a means to not be so intimidated. Well, intimidated of him, and scared of the other threat. "Can you make something appear?" She asked now at the thought. "Something like, a broom, mop or rod? Something sturdy?" She asked quickly but trying to keep calm. "Anything, at all?" She asked again. Perhaps the magician's magic was technical, as Shinichi and Conan always debunked, but to her Kid was like some magical being who if he wanted, he would work to make it happen.

King sighed and glanced over at his Chastifol. "At least I still have you..." he said to the floating spear, and he snapped to return it back to pillow form. He then leaned forward and let the pillow carry his weight as he started looking for anyone else. His golden-brown eyes scanned the area, but he only saw trees and more trees, and the occasional bush. He sighed softly.

There was an audible sigh from the Phantom Thief and he waved a hand vaguely at Ran. A rod seemed to materialize out of the air and he tossed it at her. "Try not to break it if you can," he said, feeling like it was quite useless to do so. He was no practitioner of actual magic. No matter what fantasy Ran had in her head. The rod was off his hang-glider. Something the detective's girlfriend didn't need to know. If she really thought he could just 'make something happen' than he'd be making these creatures disappear, now wouldn't he?

Liz had spoken like it was common knowledge. Clearly it wasn't to the blix. Looking left and then right at an intersection Vanessa raised a hand to halt the girl. She scanned the open expanse of cracked asphalt but didn't think there was anything unusual about it.

He leaned forward a bit, intrigued by the conversations he saw going on the group across from him. When one of them suddenly brandished what looked to him like just a plain old rod, the hand he had slapped over his mouth did nothing to keep the following cackling from escaping his lips. "Ahahah! You think that is going to do anything to my precious babies??" he blurted out. Femt then paused, and took a moment to compose himself. "My apologies. I mean, I am fascinated to see how you plan on making that stick effective here. You see, these creations of mine were designed to deal with people that have supernatural abilities... I can't wait to see what you come up with~" The pink fleshy creatures were still steadily growing, with the largest towering over Femt. Somewhere in its growth it had gained a third pair of legs and the stubby little teeth in its mouth had grown into many pairs of long tusks. It let out a raspy snarl as it went charging toward the group and the other three soon followed, the ground shaking as they passed over it. ~~~ Dia and Mint: Luffy tilted his head to one side in confusion. "Eh? Really? Costumes can do that?" he asked before looking down at his own outfit. Picking at his own shirt his head then tilted to the other side and a frown formed on his face. He scratched at his head, you could almost see the smoke coming from his ears as his brain tried to process what Akira said. Finally he looked up. "So they're mystery clothes," he said with utmost confidence.

*SCREECHES* MORE CROSSOVER RPS?!?! Today's my lucky day!! I love these things!)) Character name: Keith Kogane Screen name: MissMistyOC or Cannon: Canon What they're from: Voltron: Legendary Defender Description: A lean teenager with pale skin, black hair, fairly thick eyebrows, and blue-gray eyes that seem purple in certain lighting. His hair can only be described as a mullet, with uneven-cut bangs that tend to sweep to the left of his face and long locks that only stop at the base of his neck. He wears a dark blue-gray t-shirt underneath a red, white, and yellow jacket cropped to his ribcage, with the large cuffs of the jacket rolled up to expose their white color. The collar of the jacket stands propped upright. Personality: Normally reserved, quiet, and calm, Keith is quick to give sarcastic quips and blunt commentary. He is a competitive and pragmatic person who favors following his instincts above all else and will take initiative regardless of the danger and challenge, which can lead to impressive accomplishments. He is not overly confident, but is aware of his skills and strengths to have trust in them and will ask others to do the same. Whilst still a grounded and logical thinker, his rebellious and impulsive nature leads him to be foiled by his own frustration and/or temper; he often must reel himself in with patience and focus or ally input to cool his head. Power(s): Keith owns a small, double-edged knife that can manifest into a larger, single-edge blade when activated by his Galran heritage. Also a skilled martial artist and pilot. Age: 18 Other: Fond of the outdoors; ambidextrous.

At least she'd have a better chance of seeing the danger there then out in the open. (You're good, no worries. Life can get crazy. ^^) (Sure!) "I wish I said I didn't," said Vanessa. She raised a blow gun, a dart appearing in her hand and fitting itself inside with one movement. But footsteps meant something could be hit. Without waiting to see if the footsteps belonged to a non-human, she aimed for where she heard them and sent the dart flying. Like the fire-ball from the small dragon-creature it froze in the air and then ... fell to the ground. Which didn't make sense. It didn't look like it had hit something invisible. It had just started moving slower, then stopped, and then it had fallen to the ground. "Not goo-" said Vanessa. And then all hell broke loose. The apparently empty street exploded, bits of road thundering away from the center of it and blasts of air hitting Vanessa in the face, kicking up dust. The dragon-creature screamed - it almost sounded human - and was sent flying from her shoulder, little wings still not enough to really support its weight. Something that Vanessa couldn't see blundered past and then knocked into Liz with a force hard enough to fracture bones. The blix spun, hand reached out for one of the two creatures under her protection even as she chastised herself about caring. But the same or similar force hit her, sending her skidding painfully backwards across asphalt. Her shoulder was bleeding. A finger had gotten caught somewhere and was bent out of shape. Everything hurt but Vanessa knew she had to get up. "That," she spat. "Wasn't an animal." Something had hit her, but it hadn't been some runaway, invisible beast. It had felt almost like metal. "Liz! Are you okay." Moving her arm sent splinters of pain up and down her spine, but she slowly got up again, looking around. Trying to find her blow gun, since it was the only weapon she had. And her carry-on bag was gone too, shaken off somewhere down the line.

Liz shivered slightly at that reply and felt dread fill her stomach as she watched the dart. Liz was about to say something but as the explosions hit she let out a sharp gasped and staggered back, and drop her weapon to try amd block the incoming dust that assulted her but this was nothing compared to the thing that barrelled into her. When it hit her she let out a screech but it was short as the air was slammed out of her. Somewhere in her head she worried for her poor ribs as she was rammed into the ground by the force. Her head rang and she tried to get her head straight but she was finding it hard. After a minute she slowly sat up gasping in pain and lightly feeling her chest and winching, her ribs were not in the best shape but she thanked all that was above that none of them had pierced her lung. She also felt the back of her head and found a bit of blood from being slammed down and found that her whole body ached from the ordeal but she was still conscious -thank goodness- and nothing seemed too horribly out of place -she was sure there must be fractures of some sort but they were better then breaks. Hearing Vanessa she said slightly out of breath "No they weren't. Aliens maybe?" She suggested thinking back to the aliens that attacked New York. Thinking on it she asked "Are you ok?" And tried looking around and listening for another attack. She heard faint steps but she hoped and prayed that it was the creatures running off and not coming to finish the job. She slowly stood and noticed Vanessa's injury and gasped. "That needs to be treated! Wait we don't have the supplies for that. Crap crap crap." She babbled looking at it and thinking about her small knowledge of how to treat wounds and wondering if she'd know how to handle breaks but deciding to get to that path when they crossed it.
