(As a warning, this is very long! I tend to get carried away when talking about my characters, sorry. I'm also sorry for choosing a really confusing fandom to go with. Please feel free to ask for any clarifications. Also, I have a visual reference for him, should I post that?)
Character name: Werben Alilou

What they're from: Homestuck
Description: From a human’s perspective, what stands out the most about him is probably the horns, which have a slight curve to them. Or perhaps it’s the grey skin or the eyes with yellow whites and black irises. Maybe even the small, curved canines which protrude slightly from his mouth. To anyone who happens to be a troll, what stands out is the fact that he has a freaking ponytail and is way too short to be healthy. (He’s perfectly healthy, thank you very much. He just has unfortunate genes.) Standing at a meager 5’2, Werben almost comes off as a total pushover. The rust-red symbol on his shirt (and the blood of the same color in his veins), which places him at the very bottom of his society, doesn’t do much for his cause. Besides that, he wears a pair of grey jeans and a grey jacket. (His species isn’t much for fashion.) He’s also got glasses. (Don’t tell anyone, but they’re totally fake. He thinks they make him look smarter.)
Personality: To put it bluntly, Werben is a dork. He thinks Troll Harry Potter is the best thing ever. He believes this so whole-heartedly that he’s written several novel-length fanfictions for the work. They all involve his horrible self-insert fancharacter. If he was to be asked about this, he would probably gush for about a minute and then catch himself, clear his throat, and calmly explain how his fanfictions are actually allegories for something or another. If it wasn’t already obvious, he likes to think that he’s a very dignified person, and is very no-nonsense about a lot of things. He likes things best when they’re nice and organized, since that makes it easier for him to deal with them. Werben wants to be seen by others as someone who is very respectable and intelligent, thus the fake glasses. Unfortunately, he’s sort of terrible at actually getting people to quit fighting and get along.
Power: Pyrokinesis. He can create and control heat and fire. He’s gotten pretty good at controlling this, but things can still get out of hand if he gets especially emotional. In combat, he usually uses this in conjunction with a crook reminiscent of those depicted with pharaohs.
Age: Thirteen years (six sweeps in the terms of his people)
Other: He comes from a highly violent culture, and is used to being at the bottom of the social order. His species is also nocturnal and has four forms of romance. It’s complicated. I’ll have him explain things as they come up, because there’s a whole lot that needs to be explained. Also, in his world, video game-esque inventories are an actual thing, so don’t be surprised if he’s literally pulling stuff out of nowhere.

She then started to dig in the dirt Hopi g to find some worms, but paused for a moment when she heard a tree fall not too far away. Vanessa's hearing caught the falling tree and her head snapped around to look in that direction. "And that sounds like it might be what I was worried about," she commented, turning back in the direction of Liz. "Best to stay here, however. We are in the only position that has a clear line of sight and a direction to run in if necessary." She pointed downstream. "But until then, keep very still and quiet." |

It didn't seem to have any eyes, and was sniffing the area. It's large head turned towards the two women and snarled and bent it's four legs as if it was about to run after them. (Sorry if I didn't describe the monster enough.  )

Cavey(Alright, I'll go with the person in the hotel.) Shiro blinked a couple of times before exiting her hotel room. It had gotten boring by herself and it didn't look like the tv was working. The little eleven year old looked both ways before heading down the hallway and towards the main lobby. She was hoping she'd run into another member of the group or something soon. The came to the lobby moments later, sighing before heading to the front of the building, standing beside the front glass doors and looking out into the streets.

Loki stood in the side walk looking around. He had been exploring all over the strange city and saw many weird people. He sighed as he just wanted to go back to his cell and just sleep all of this off. He walked in from of a hotel and stopped to think about the situation that was happening. He blinked when he saw a little girl without any adult around. "Mortal, where are your parents? "He asked.

(Okay, cool. And unless anyone happens to be playing Harry Potter characters, it shouldn't be too much of an issue- it's established in the canon he's based off that his species shares quite a bit of human media. It probably won't come up, anyways.)

mintedstar/fur (The former sounds best, my character's probably never climbed a tree in his life. Here, lemme establish myself.) A boy wanders an unfamiliar world. It's obvious to anyone who may be watching that he's on his guard. His posture is stiff, his eyes constantly glancing around himself; a weapon is in his left hand, occasionally shimmering with barely-suppressed flames. He moves slowly, carefully taking everything in. There's a building nearby, though it doesn't look quite the same as the ones he's used to. Nothing looks perfectly right in this world. For one, the sun isn't as powerful as it ought to be. He should be burnt to a crisp at this point, but its light isn't even enough to blind him. Quite odd, really.

"If it does not have eyes it probably relies on sound and scent. From this moment, after I speak, you must be very quiet..." The blix new it was dangerous to speak, but that didn't stop her. Her eyes wandered to the fading light of day. Unfortunately, the would not be able to use the growing darkness to their advantaged to escape this creature. (I'm looking forward to night time so I can have Vanessa here bite a couple of monsters. :3 Her power works on anything living that sleeps/can be knocked out, so that's going to be a little interesting to try...) |

(Okay mintedstar/fur !) Amarie and Rai stopped. "Rai, something's coming..." Amarie began, and then humanoid monsters sprang up all around them. The two Digimon went back to back, looking around. They seemed to be surrounded by at least 30 monsters resembling lizards made of molteon rock. Rai growled deeply. "You with me, Amarie?" He asked his partner. "Darn straight! Let's kick some tail!" She responded, grinning. Then the two charged. Meanwhile, Jason looked down at his Digivice yet again, then he stopped and put it back, moving his hand over to his charm and activating it. His ears and tail reappeared, and what he sensed after make him groan. "Found them, and they're not alone! We gotta move fast!" With that, Jason took off running, Overdrive Tracker in hand. |

Her first instinct was to run but she trusted Vanessa's judgement and stayed as still as she could, and unconsciously she was using her powers to make her own gravity stronger so it was harder to move. The monster leapt out and ran at the two women, it's mouth was open to show it's long jagged teeth. (That sounds interesting, I can't wait to see it )

goldfish(Apologies for late reply. I was answering another post. ^^' ) Conan wandered over to the window of his room. The sky was almost dark now. Only a little hint of sun remained in the sky and already stars were coming out. This was the first time he would be able to see them from a stationary position. Not on Kid's hangglider or running for his life. Just looking at them from the other side of a window. Something makes him look down. Maybe it's the light from the sword that that...person was carrying, maybe it was the movement, but either way Conan looked down. The small boy frowned. He hoped it wasn't a monster. Far more likely it was someone else who had appeared here. He walked over to the light-switch and flicked it to the ON position. He waited a couple of seconds, then switched it OFF. Then ON. That should be a pretty clear signal that this building was occupied. Then wandered over to the window again and opened it. Looking down, he wondered if he should shout down at whoever this was or watch for him to notice the boy detective.

His eyes narrowed, watching the window, and he came to a stop. This was the first sign of life he had seen since he had gotten here. Despite this, he remained wary. Running into others, when it happened, generally didn't end well. He made up his mind to answer back. Werben willed a small ball of flame into existence in the air in front of him, then caused it to vanish. To make sure whoever was in the window knew he had seen them, he repeated the action. Hopefully that would prove to be intimidating enough, if they were hostile. He didn't want to deal with a fight.
