(Okay mintedstar/fur !) Amarie and Rai stopped. "Rai, something's coming..." Amarie began, and then humanoid monsters sprang up all around them. The two Digimon went back to back, looking around. They seemed to be surrounded by at least 30 monsters resembling lizards made of molteon rock. Rai growled deeply. "You with me, Amarie?" He asked his partner. "Darn straight! Let's kick some tail!" She responded, grinning. Then the two charged. Meanwhile, Jason looked down at his Digivice yet again, then he stopped and put it back, moving his hand over to his charm and activating it. His ears and tail reappeared, and what he sensed after make him groan. "Found them, and they're not alone! We gotta move fast!" With that, Jason took off running, Overdrive Tracker in hand. Kasha seemed a little surprised at the sudden change in pace, but quickly followed after Jason. It appeared that there might have been a fight. That would at least be interesting to watch. He really had no intention of helping. He was only in this group for entertainment, after all, not to get himself killed. |

mintedstar/fur (It's fine! And btw, he doesn't have a sword, he has a small blunt object.) Werben abruptly looked up, eyes detecting the light. His eyes narrowed, watching the window, and he came to a stop. This was the first sign of life he had seen since he had gotten here. Despite this, he remained wary. Running into others, when it happened, generally didn't end well. He made up his mind to answer back. Werben willed a small ball of flame into existence in the air in front of him, then caused it to vanish. To make sure whoever was in the window knew he had seen them, he repeated the action. Hopefully that would prove to be intimidating enough, if they were hostile. He didn't want to deal with a fight. (My mistake.  ) (And late reply...) Conan raised an eyebrow, even though whoever this was probably could see that. Okay, so that had seen his light flashing and they could conjure fire. Nice to know. He looked back at the door of his room. He wasn't sure if he wanted to let the others know what he was seeing. They were probably busy with there own things. And to be perfectly honest, he didn't know how much he liked them. He pushed open the window enough that he could climb out. From there, he stepped onto a tree branch. One good thing about being stuck as a little kid was that there wasn't so much weight to worry about. The tree limb wouldn't break. From the tree branch, he started climbing down until he could safely jumped to the sidewalk. He looked over at Werben with wary eyes, ready to run if he proved to be a threat. |

Werben waved with his free hand, cautiously eyeing the newcomer. "What are you?" he said, voice carefully kept from wavering. His eyes flickered over Conan's attire, searching for a symbol of some sort to tell him what this thing's blood color was. As much as he disliked the whole social caste thing, he didn't want to anger anyone too far above him.
This person didn't look terribly threatening, though. He didn't look much like a troll, at least. However, that also mean that Werben had no idea how to deal with him. It was impossible to know what sort of abilities he had. Heck, it was entirely possible this being could break his bones with a lazy tap. He had to be cautious here.

mintedstar/fur Fear filled Liz as she stared at the creature. Her first instinct was to run but she trusted Vanessa's judgement and stayed as still as she could, and unconsciously she was using her powers to make her own gravity stronger so it was harder to move. The monster leapt out and ran at the two women, it's mouth was open to show it's long jagged teeth. (That sounds interesting, I can't wait to see it ) Vanessa removed her hand from Liz's shoulder and said, "Run!" to the girl. She didn't run. Instead she grinned as she took another potion from her pocket and threw it into the charging monsters mouth. She had always made sure to carry around some potions that held powerful knockout drafts. They were often made from special ingredients and other things from magical creature preserves, so she was trusting that it would work. And if it didn't, it wasn't the only trick she had. |

broken((I'm sorry this is so late, I've had a lot going on irl...)) Arlo picked up a small bag of graham crackers as she followed Mikaela. "Guess it was a good thing you did decide to go with him. Those creatures that were chasing us back there..." She didn't finish the sentence. She still didn't know what they had been, but she was sure that they'd have killed Kid if he'd been on his own. He couldn't even walk when she'd run into them. He'd said that the creatures affected humans and vampires differently... they had reminded her of when she'd first been to the island. They had reminded her of the night her parents died. What had they done to Kid and Mikaela? "I... haven't seen things like them in my world."

They are certainly a pain," he slowed the pace a little more with a sigh. "We better be careful if we do ever run into them again. Apparently they almost kill humans and make vampires mad, though they didn't seem to affect you." He turned around as he spoke, now walking backwards. "Perhaps you were immune or maybe you weren't around them for very long. Either way, we're glad you came to help us." -- Cavey"Nice to meet Loki," Shiro said, grabbing his arm before slowly pulling him away fro mm the door and toward the couches surrounding the fireplace deeper inside the lobby. "Is Loki from Japan like Shiro and her brother is?"

mintedstar/furLiz turned and started running, she thought Vanessa was following and paused when she realized she wasn't. Liz didn't want to leave Vanessa alone with the monster, and it would be wrong to just to run off without her. The monster paused snarling and ran again but it was slower and kept shaking it's head.

Zig-ZagVanessa turned and started running after Liz. "Come on! I bought us some time." As soon as she hit the forest, she turned again and took out another of the potions. She held it up to Liz and said, "This makes you incorporeal. Do you need it?" she asked. She glanced back at the monster and started to run again. "I do not have very many of these, so if you are going to use it wait until the last second." She didn't seem to worried about herself.

mintedstar/furLiz ran after her, using her power to make her lighter, and said "No I'm fine." She then looked back and saw the beast was catching up. "I don't think we're going to out run it." The beast kept running at them and knocked down more trees around it.
