(So they are all together now??) (We seem to have to groups going. (Well, three if you count the one with Conan and Hime's two characters. But that aside.) Your characters and Ciel have just run into one of my characters. His name's Monarch. So at that's basically it. Would you like me to quote our last post?) |

Hime and broken
Kid kept one eye trained on the forest, waiting. The little detective was taking a very long time.
To take his mind off of it he turned to the dog Shiro and whispered. "He's just a little grumpy. I think he's okay, but he is a bit anti-social."
He turned back at Hozuki's words and said, "Hum? I can kind of see why. Though I think that if we continue to look around we will probably see more then a vampire and a oni. That Horseman, for example. Or that Rin girl."
I wonder if she was a witch or something, Kid thought.

Hime
Conan was just able to pick out a light, possibly from a flashlight, as he ran through the darkness. That's to close to be Kid, he thought.
"Hey!" he called, skidding to a halt. He figured that if it was a flashlight then he could probably get away with his wristwatch dart, but he was wary just in case.
He waited as the flashlight moved closer.

Mint, flamerune , sweetclover1 Ciel was too distracted once he heard people getting closer. The boy cursed softly, taking a few steps backwards until he was a little behind Miroka, though he knew she'd just make fun of him for this later. He stuck his hand in his jacket pocket, wrapping his hand around his pistol, but he didn't pull it out. (Here you are Sweetclover.  ) |

Broken and Mint:
Shiro the dog looked up at Kid and nodded. "Oh, ok."
Hozuki looked to Kid as well. "That should be interesting to see. On our way away from camp, the forest was so empty I was certain we were the only living things here. I never expected something quite like that creature to come out of the darkness," he said. As he spoke he slowly made his way closer to where the Horseman lay still, a speck of curiosity on his otherwise stoic face. It being a creature he'd never encountered in his thousand plus years of life made it all the more fascinating to the demon.
Mint:
"It just called out to us! Well, I think it was that thing..." Prompto exclaimed, slowing down to a walk. "Wait, what if it's actually a daemon?!"
"Because daemons sound like that," Noctis replied, the sarcasm thick in his voice.
"Hey, you never know!" Prompto argued back. Despite his irrational fears, he raised one arm up and waved it in a wide arc (because you can totally see that in the dark). "Oi! Over here! Who are you?" he called, cupping his other hand around his mouth.
"What happened to thinking it's a daemon?"
"Eh, I decided to be brave for once?"

Miroka stiffened, her typical laid back demeanor vanishing as she straightened her back and called quietly, "Koriki," Akio glanced up, stiffening as well as his mark on his right hand glowed and he disappeared, a thin blade appearing in her hand. " Kasaiki" She muttered, Kikios mark on her neck glowing as she disappeared herself, turning into a glove on her left hand.
"Who's there?" She called out, voice slightly chilled now that she actually had someone to protect, now looking like the god of calamity that she used to be.

mintedstar/fur , Kuragehime Mikaela glared over at Kid for a moment with a frown. "You realize I can hear you, correct?" He mumbled, shrugging as he messed with his gloves. Then, he finally turned his attention over to Hozuki. "Oh, I knew you weren't human...what are you exactly?" Sora looked over at Kid at the mention of the different things they would see here. And even though he was not talking to him, Sora asked, "who is Rin?" -- sweetclover1 , Mint The boy leaned forward a little, getting his hands out of his pockets as he scanned the alley up ahead. He really couldn't see anyone, but he wasn't about to let his guard down, especially with the group he was with. "I do not see anyone," Ciel whispered to Miroka.

"I know you can, Mikaela!" Kid shot back. He ignored him from that point on. Instead he turned to Sora and said, "Rin is this girl I, Mikaela, and Conan met in the city. She claims that she is the reason we are all here."
And I believe her, thought Katio.

HimeConan looked to the dark heavens. Seriously? I called them to get them to come over here. Still careful, he walked towards the faint outline of two figures. "Well," he said. "I could ask the same of you. I'm called Conan." His steps slowed as he got with range of the flashlight beam. "Now, answer mine. Who are you?" -- broken and sweetclover1Monarch turned into the alley that Ciel and the god stood. He was hesitant, but his face didn't show that. "Two people," he said. "Both with weapons?" He cocked his head a little, then shrugged. "Who are you," he asked.

Mikaela rolled his eyes and turned away from them.
"Oh she's the reason we are here?" He asked, exchanging s glance with his step-sister, then looked at Kid again. "How can we be so sure? Like what makes her so reliable?" He asked, grinning a little. "Wait, a better idea! You can introduce us to her!"

"I am a demon, from the Japanese Underworld," Hozuki said simply. He usually hid the fact if he was outside the Underworld, but he had been properly prepared in all those other cases. This time was quite the opposite, and so he had no time to grab his usual disguise, a hat.
"Hozuki works for the king! It's so cool!" Shiro barked beside him.
Hozuki waved a hand dismissively. "No, no, it's nothing that impressive," he murmured.

Prompto looked down as Conan came into the glow of their flashlights. "I'm Prompto and this is Noct - is... Noctis." he said, grinning as he threw an arm around his friend.
Noctis rolled his eyes at Prompto and crossed his arms, slightly covering the light attached to the rim of his jacket. He had a much more serious tone as he spoke to Conan. "You the one who sent the flare up?"

He turned to Mikaele. "Do you have the death book or does Conan?" He thought that, though it wasn't proof Rin existed or that she was to blame for all this, it was...necessary information." -- Hime"No," said Conan simply. "That was another person called Kid. And, oh, if you were heading towards where the flare went up, then you are off a little." He pointed a little off to the right. "And I should be heading there now. So, if you don't want to die, I'd come along." And with that, he started jogging again.

Dog Shiro tilted his head to the side. "Won't she come if you call her name?" he asked. "Rin! Riiiin!"
Hozuki patted the dog's head to shut him up and sighed. "I'm afraid that is not how it works, my friend," he said.

"Oh, thanks," Noctis grunted. So it wasn't Ignis or Gladio... he thought. The two glanced at each other when Conan started jogging and nodded, deciding it would be best to follow him. They ran after Conan in silence save for their shoes against the pavement, Prompto constantly looking to the sides of the road with a less than confident look on his freckled face.

sweetclover1, mintedstar/fur Ciel rolled his eyes, then glared a two the newcomer in the alley, smirking a bit when he noticed the other guy didn't have anything to defend himself with. He stepped away from Miroka. "What are you doing here?" -- Kuragehime , mint "Oh interesting...you're a demon," Mikaela said softly, then pulled out the death book, holding it out to Kid once he asked for it. "Here it is." He stated simply, then looked at dog Shiro with a shrug. "It might work if you just call her name- Kid, didn't she say if we needed anything, just call out to her?" - Rin was, in fact, listening to everything the group was saying with interest- with the help of the orb she was holding in her hands to watch the group. She wasn't too far away, but she was far enough so they wouldn't notice her.

It was quite clear that the boy wasn't Japanese and the god was just that. Not human. "From what I've seen, we are stuck in another world. Hadn't you realized?" his last remark was mocking. -- Hime and brokenKid frown and opened his mouth. Then he closed it. He grabbed the book from the vampires hand then held it lousily. Then he opened his mouth again he said in a sing-song voice, "Riiiin! Anyone out there? Riiiiin!" --- HimeConan felt that they were getting closer. He could hear muffled voices ahead and he was betting it was Kid, Mika, and his group. He didn't call out. It would just disrupt things and who knew if something wasn't lurking in the forest. So, instead, he slowed a little and turned to look at his traveling companions. "Quite from here, I don't want to interrupt anything."

Ciel frowned, staring at them. "I don't even know if there would be a native who lives here. Who would want to live in a place like this?"

Rin chuckled softly, but instead of her coming out of hiding, she sent her familiar- her cat.
It rustled a bush until it came out into the open. "You callrd?" It sounded like the cat was talking, but it was really a microphone on the ribbon around its neck.

Shiro the dog's head flicked to face the cat, ears straight up. He got to his paws but Hozuki quickly set his iron grasp on the rope around the dog's neck, giving the dog a look that got him to sit back down again.
Mint:
"You got it," Prompto said, giving Conan a thumbs up. After a look from Noctis he slapped both hands over his mouth. "Sorry," he whispered. The two of them slowed behind Conan and crouched down as soon as they heard the voices. Noctis motioned to Prompto and the two of them also darkened their flashlights to a dull glow.

HimeConan frowned a little, looking through the leaves of the bush he was standing behind. He could just barely see what was happening in the clearing. Could the cat really talk? He looked at Prompto and Noctis, glad they had dimmed their flashlights. "Listen," he whispered. -- sweetclover1 and broken"There aren't any natives," said Monarch. "Not as far as I know." His hands were still up and they were growing rather tired. "Um, can I lower my hands now? Or do you think I'm going to attack you without a weapon?" He really didn't know what to think of these two. Or four, if you counted the sword and the glove. -- Hime and broken"And," said Kid, looking down at the cat. "You are not Rin. You are the cat, which I didn't know could talk." He crouched down, looking closer at the cat. "So, Rin's cat, what have you to say about yourself?"

"It's okay," she whispered. "But I am Rin's familiar," Rin said, her voice echoing through the microphone. "Why did you call me here? Was it because you were wanting to prove I was real or maybe because you wanted to know where to go from here?" -- sweetclover1, mint Ciel still couldn't take his eyes off the newcomer, then when Miroka's weapons reverted, he sighed. "Put your hands down; you can't hurt us," he replied. "But I'll ask you this again, who are you?"

Hozuki took a step forward. He released his grip on the dog, trusting him to human Shiro. "If I may speak," he started, glancing around before his gaze rested on the cat. "I for one would like to know why I have been brought here, and how long I will be staying. I cannot afford to be away from the Underworld for a long time like this."
Mint:
"Is that a cat they're talking to?" Prompto whispered, squinting his eyes in the low light. He reached for his camera and had it nearly focused on the cat when Noctis placed his hand over it and pushed it down.
"Not now," Noctis whispered.
"SOrry..."

"Oh yes, I would probably explain that, but perhaps we should do it face-to-face~" The cat then let out a soft meow, blinking up at the demon.
It did t take her long to arrive in the same clearing, maybe a few seconds. A blonde haired girl walked into the clearing. She waved with a grin before scooping up her familiar. "Hello, I am Rin and I am more than happy to answer your questions," she gave a little bow before looking at the group as a whole. "I brought you all here for a little game. You see, it's been getting rather lonely here alone and I don't know the answer to that. I guess you are here until you either die or I get bored of you all."

Dog Shiro's ears perked up and his tail started to wag. "A game? That sounds fun! Hozuki! Hozuki! Can we play?" He looked to the demon, who only replied with a sigh.
"It sounds to me like we are going to be here for quite a while then," Hozuki replied. He frowned as he imagined what the state of the Underworld was like now without him there to keep everyone in line. However, as he thought about it more he let out a low chuckle. This is a good chance for the king to grow a little backbone, he thought, one corner of his mouth curling up.

Shiro looked down at the dog, kneeling down with a shake of her head. "Shiro, that isn't a good idea...it just means more time before we return home."
Rin smirked, leaning forward a little as she half-mindedly pet the cat in her arms. "My, you must realize that I have already begun the game and you all are pieces," she replied simply with a shrug, walking back and forth some. "Ah and as a warning, there are more monsters lurking about, so keep your eyes open~ and if you ever need help, just call out to me! And who knows; I might eventually hang out with you all more."

The dog seemed to deflate a bit. "Oh... so it's not a fun game," he murmured. His tail slowed until it lay still on the ground, but only for a moment, after a second it was wagging again. "But, this'll be a fun story to tell my friends when I get back!" he said.
Hozuki let out a "hmph" after hearing the dog, it always amazed him how the animal could stay to positive all the time. Looking back to Rin he shifted his grip on the club at the mention of more monsters. He didn't say anything, but one could tell by the look on his face that he did not like the idea of being someone's toy.

His eyes were dark shadows and to an outsider it would have sounded like a threat. But he was just interested. His stood, his legs spread. He crossed his arms. Rin played a game that she didn't know how to end. And if she ran the game, then there were two options. Either there was a way for them to win, or she had to disappear. -- HimeConan looked out at Rin. He really didn't like her. But that dislike had a small base in fear. Because people might want to get on her good side or trust her. And Katio was one of those people, he was sure. If he thought anyone was in danger he'd never do something to harm them, but Conan could see in his eyes that he was far to interested in her for his own good. Games usually had all the players against each other. But this game had groups. Groups that might need to have Kid's flares and skill just to survive. "This isn't good," Conan muttered. -- sweetclover1 and brokenMonarch lowered his hands and smiled. "I'm called Monarch. And if you were asking 'what' I was then the answer is human. So no need to worry about any crazy powers. Though," he said on second thought. "I could be lying." He placed his hands behind his back. "What are you called?" he asked Ciel. He used the term that the others from his world had. He had never said My name is... he'd only said I'm called... It showed he was using a fake name.
