Kazuya glanced up at the cat before following, shushing an excited Black Frost as he did so. Beside him, Fafnir lashed its tail in anticipation, while Sraosha calmly flapped its wings. Kazuya wondered what would happen if the demons were killed by Datara. Would they die to be summoned again, like usual? Or would Datara absorb both them and their energy? He shook his head. Demons are too confusing sometimes...

Castiel glanced about before following along after the levitating cat, hands in his pockets. Claire walked alongside him, eyes wide and brow furrowed deeply, but she didn't say anything other than, "Jodie's gonna be pissed when she finds out that she's not in my room, Cas." He looked down at her. She hadn't changed much since he'd last seen her. Same hair, same perpetually angry look; he had to admit though, despite not actually being her father, he had a certain fondness for the girl. He liked Jodie too, and he didn't want her to be worried. "Jodie will be fine. Worried, yes, but we will get you home. I am sorry for bringing you here; I just needed someone who I knew I could trust, and who could handle themselves," he glanced over at her as he spoke, noticing a slight smile on her lips, but it quickly disappeared, "what have you," he paused, awkwardly, "been up to?" She paused, and then began, voice actually picking up a bit as she began, "Well, I'm in school, but I've been hunting too, and..."

Natasha walked with the two kids. Mike, Mike Wheeler as he had introduced himself in full, was deathly pale. He held tight to Eleven's hand as they made their way along the street. Both of the kids were in a state of shock, she could tell, but neither was currently talking to her. They just whispered amongst themselves, glancing around at all of the creatures and their desolate surroundings. Poor kids. Natasha recognized the looks on their faces all too well; she had seen it often her own, when she was a little girl, in the Red Room. Eleven's face especially. Gaunt, eyes emotional, but lacking all normal emotion at the same time. Natasha could already tell she had problems processing it, and using the right responses for different situations. The shaved head. The "superpowers." Poor girl. Poor Mike. At least Eleven had him.
---
The Doctor was last in the pack, hands jammed in his trouser pockets and face still set in lines. The TARDIS was floating behind them, bobbing in the air like a dog. He wasn't sure if Chess had put some sort of... enchantment on it, or if this was just "special circumstances," but he was glad that it was doing that. He would go in eventually, probably to arm himself against Datara, but for now he was okay with walking with everyone else and stewing.

Silverfall tinybreeze @bolderpelt Chess was still dog paddling, but paused. After around ten or so minutes of walking, the pack was met with an odd obstacle. In the distance was Datara, hands reached into five portals. Blocking their way to it was a mess of misshapen creatures, each ranging from the size of an average human, to the size of a large bear. Their skin was the color of their maker, bodies littered with eyes, arms, legs, mouths, etc. And they didn't look happy. Chess merely grinned, and told the group "Best of luck. And remember, I'll need my special guard to keep themselves alive, hm?"And with that, he shimmered out of view, invisible, as the odd creatures lurched forward, drooling and warbling as they eyed the newcomers. It took a moment before four or five of them leaped forward, running rather quickly with their mess of limbs as they charged, those behind them spreading out in attempt to circle them. Datara didn't even feel bothered enough to look down at them, as if it wasn't worth its time.

"What the..." Kazuya stood in shock for a moment, but Black Frost's sudden "Magical Punishment!" battle cry brought him back to his senses. As the frost demon covered a few of the monsters in ice, the human charged forward. "Zandyne!" he shouted, a green whirlwind blasting aside one of the humanoid creatures. Sraosha formed a shield around Kazuya and Fafnir before stunning a few with lightning, and Fafnir slapped some more out of the way with its tail. Kazuya signaled Black Frost to stay back as the trio cut their way towards Datara.

Well, shoot. Castiel whipped out his angel blade, twirling it in his hand as he glared at one of the large beasts making its way towards them. Claire had pulled a knife as well, blonde hair whipping into her eyes as she spun around to face one of the deformed animals. Natasha pulled her hand gun, pushing Mike behind her, trying to grab Eleven, but the girl shrugged her off, squaring her shoulders, glaring at the creatures. And lastly, there was The Doctor, who held a hand out, and gracefully opened the door to his ship as it swung down, letting it pull him back up as he stepped inside, door snapping behind him as the box hovered.

@bolderpelt Silverfall tinybreezeAs Kazuya advanced with his trio, Datara turned to look that time. The beast merely blinked, and more of those creatures sprung from its body like gross newborns, quickly growing in size and charging the intruders. As they did, Datara too began growing in size, finally putting the absorbed energy to use. Grunting, it turned to watch the beginning fight before it. The onces advancing upon the group staying back didn't slow their pace. However, as three leaped for Claire, they were all suddenly stopped. Smashed into the ground by a big, furry thing. Once the dust settled, one could see something white disappearing into the back of the familiar gorilla. His three sets of wings, only the shadows visible before they too disappeared from view. Snorting, Barachiel straightened up, saying as he pulled out an angel blade of his own "I was close to just passing this little skirmish over." Not wasting time to go through much dialogue, he turned to leave Cas and Claire to hold their own, hulking form moving to meet a creature larger than him. Datara grumbled as its minions were being cut down. No matter, it decided. Looking, it spoke aloud, voice booming for everyone to hear "I don't know why you fools came, but know that it wasn't to win against me. All of you are much to petty!" It laughed again, and its jaws opened wide. A ball of black-purple energy formed, aimed down at the group. The Doctor and his TARDIS, to be specific. One second, then two before the dense ball of energy shot forward, ripping through the air with no effort, seeming to yank on existence as it moved.

Kazuya grit his teeth as Datara sent a blast of energy at the others. There was no way that he would be able to stop it in time. His focus was jerked back to his own fight as one of the creatures broke his shield. Right. Got to deal with this first. Kazuya blasted the monster with another Zandyne. Its growth gave it enough bulk to resist the attack, but it was still wide open to be taken down by a Brutal Hit from Fafnir. Still, more kept coming, and another blow sent Kazuya sailing into Black Frost. As he tried to catch his breath, more blows battered his body from all sides. A crack and a few cries of pain were heard as Fafnir whipped the creatures away. Now free, Kazuya struggled to his feet, wincing. Datara's monsters are no pushovers... we'll have to get through them, and fast.
He drew in a pained breath and spoke. "Sraosha, heal us up. We'll clear a path for Fafnir to get through." The Divine demon nodded, sending a refreshing aura over the group before readying a blast of electricity.

"The hell is that?" Claire asked, turning her head slightly as Barachiel pulled an angel blade, lumbering away. She didn't have long to look away though. One of the things, about the size of a deer (if deer stood on their hind legs), came at them at an impressive speed, hoofed back feet slapping at the pavement as its six, no, seven arms flailed wildly around it. On of the mouths, on its palm of course, tried to snap at her, and Claire took its entire forearm off. Cas was next, swinging from the other side with the angel blade, cleaving the thing clear through. They were so fleshy with no real mass at all that it just slid apart, plopping to the ground. "That," Cas said, twirling the blade in his hand again out of habit, "is one of my brothers." Claire glanced at the furry Barachiel before shaking her head, and mumbling, "You have a weird f*cking family, man."
---
The Doctor just made it to the console, switching on the viewfinders outside right as the ball of energy was being shot right at him. He yelped, yanking a lever and pulling the ship to the side, letting the ball shoot by. The TARDIS shuddered just as the trail of it touched its blue hull, but he stayed in the air. "It's okay, Old Girl," he cooed, out of breath as he pulled yet another lever, "a little hop and a skip back in time..." He came out right as the creatures appeared, disappearing from the now for a moment, before sending himself back to the future, aiming the side of the ship right at Datara's... head. Well, whatever counted as a head on that ugly thing. He was just trying to hit it.

@bolderpelt tinybreezeDatara turned away as its creatures kept advancing onto Kazuya's group, three of them merging to become even bigger. The giant growled lowly, the air vibrating from the noise. Looking down the tiny group before it, the thing raised a massive fist, narrowed its dozens of eyes, and swung it in a sweeping motion to hit at Kazuya's group, multiple misshapen jaws snapping open to roar. As the big one attacked them, the smaller, regular ones moved in like a second, immediate wave, storming forward with the intent and speed to flatten them. the ones that stayed back pulled at some of their flesh, the parts pulled off forming spear-like weapons, and threw them at the attackers. Datara closed up one rip, and opened a new one to take the new lives from within it, staring almost boredly. Barachiel grunted in surprise as the ball of energy the TARDIS dodged landed nearby his location. It was no bigger than a watermelon, yet the area around its landing exploded, causing Barachiel and a few of the monsters to be thrown off their feet. Looking up at Datara, he flipped the giant creature his middle finger (even though Datara couldn't see it) before getting back on his feet and moving to his next opponent. Dropping his blade briefly, he clapped his hands together, then reached them outward while parting them again. Lightning shot from the fingertips, springing and lashing out to electrocute five monsters. As they screeched and writhed, he huffed "Only five? How the mighty have fallen!" He used to be able to down hundreds with that trick! Datara had turned away, but felt its head snap to the side, and it growled in surprise and annoyance. As it wasn't energy, and a solid object instead, the TARDIS did indeed crash into Datara's main head. The beast turned slightly, a massive hand swinging around in attempt to grab the rectangular box, saying "Doctor. You're truly beginning to bother me." Instead of slapping the TARDIS, like Datara made it to look like, its hand stopped about five feet away, a blast of unseen energy radiating from its hand and forcing the ship back. Not hard enough to actually damage it or anything, but just to force it away. Datara was putting its focus on the rips and its minions. So it didn't have time to destroy anyone just yet. As it pushed the TARDIS away, it spoke "Give me a minute. Then my attention will be entirely on you." Even though it hadn't known him for a day, Datara disliked The Doctor the most. Probably because the Time Lord saw fit in questioning his methods. No one ever did that, whether they had the power to or not!

"You've got to be kidding me. Lovely." Kara briefly zipped off to get take off her everyday clothes along with letting her hair down, so the clothes would not get shredded. "Well, Let's get started. " Kara sighed, gently gliding up into the air, she looked around the battle that surround the ground around her. She focused on protecting Kazuya and his small group from the air, although she struggled to stay in the air, she did manage to turn a few of the monsters surrounding the teenager into dust with her heat vision, before deciding to try fly and ram a few of them from the air.

Castiel and Claire were holding their own fairly well, tag teaming. Claire would take off a couple of arms and legs or stab it straight through, and then Cas would decapitate it with his longer blade. The angel, of course, had an easier time actually defending himself. He was strong, stronger than a teenage girl, of course, and a simple kick to one of the things' chests would send it rocketing through the air, or back into a building. He watched out for Claire too, but like he'd said, the girl could hold her own, even with just a knife and some basic martial arts. Was he... proud? Maybe. Well, yeah. He was proud, as Cas, and for Jimmy.
---
Natasha, still holding Mike firmly behind her, a hand clenched around his upper arm, was shooting the monsters down, or shocking them with the gauntlets that were hidden under her jacket sleeves, or kicking or hitting with her gun. There were a lot of them, but she wasn't alone. She'd just watched Eleven stare straight at a bear-sized creature, lumbering with one big gaping mouth on its front towards them, and then watched the creature inexplicably contort into a painful shape before being thrown to the ground. Eleven's nose dripped blood, and she wavered on her feet, but turned to yet another before humanlike one, snapping its neck with a jerk of her head, and pain in her eyes.
---
Bloody hell. The Doctor clenched his teeth as the TARDIS was forced sideways, and Datara's voice boomed through the console room. He yanked a lever, teleporting so that he was hovering over a rooftop about one hundred yards away, watching, for now, contriving a plan. Datara was all-powerful, or that was what he made apparent to the Time Lord, and to the rest of them. How did you beat that? Well, normally he did it by being cocky and annoying and generally pestering the monsters to death, but maybe that wasn't such a good idea, since so many peoples' lives were on the line.

Sraosha released its electricity onto the beasts, but in doing so, had no chance to dodge. It was swatted into the ground like an oversized fly before being assauted by the numerous monsters, vanishing into a red-black mass. Fafnir was struck as well, but simply huffed and got to its feet. Apparently, physical attacks didn't hurt it. Kazuya had barely pulled Frosty away from the same fate when they were shoved from behind by another wave. The teen fired off a Zandyne to stun them long enough for Black Frost to freeze a row of the beasts, effectively creating a short-lived icy barricade. Kazuya heard a roar not too far away as Fafnir launched itself at the large monster. The Dragon would be fine, but Kazuya was starting to regret his choice to strike first. Mainly because of the spears soaring through the air. He managed to sneak a few Holy Dance attacks into his dodging, but the assault was forcing him to back up against Black Frost. At least Kara's help kept him from being completely overwhelmed.

Kara looked around, she didn't know where to strike first. She saw that Castile and Claire were holding their own, but Kazuya, Natasha and Eleven weren't fairing well. She aimed a few heat blasts at some of the monsters near Eleven and Natasha, severely hampering what would consist of a whole row of them. She aimed a few more blasts taking out a few more and completely destroying a few that she had previously injured. She then took a few blasts at Kazuya's monsters taking out a few right next to him.

@bolderpelt Chess poofed into view, sitting on one of the arms Claire cut off. Looking down at it, he had an idea. These things were technically coming off of Datara right? Playing with a finger, he called out to Cas, who was a distance away "Make tracks and get over here! I think we have an alternative!" He would need to thank Kazuya anyway for getting closest, if this sample instead worked. When a monster got close, Barachiel helped the cat out by throwing his blade to impale the monster's back, causing it to fall. Chess needed to be visible to teleport and reality jump, which made him vulnerable in the current situation.
"Nothing to say to me, Doctor?" Datara called simply, turned away from the Time Lord "You sure had a lot to say earlier!" Its attention was mainly on the reality rips, feeding off life. It closed another rip, to again open a new one. Honestly, Datara wanted to just close the rips and follow The Doctor, but that could wait. For now. For the time being, it opened its jaws again, another ball of energy building up, head turning toward the TARDIS a distance away.

tinybreezeThe big monster grabbed Fafnir, roaring before shoving the dragon back, seven large hands pushing roughly. Pulling off a misshapen leg, the large appendage turned into a sort of warhammer, and the creature swung it at Fafnir, multiple eyes glaring in anger. The smaller attackers still swarmed, trying to bite, snap and grab at anything that moved in front of then, sharing the hate of their maker.

"Thanks!" Natasha yelled over to Kara, holstering her gun and also catching Eleven with her one hand as the girl nearly fell onto her back. Her eyes were rolling into her head, nose bleeding profusely after she had contorted yet another one of the beasts. She had a really bad idea, but she called around her back, "Mike, can you shoot a gun? Did your dad ever teach you?" There was a beat, and then he replied, "My," he paused, voice growing tearful, "brother did, Johnathan." "You think you can fire that?" Natasha continued, gesturing to the gun in the holster, and with a nod, he took it, pulling back the safety and holding it securely before blasting one of the things through the head. "Good shot, kid."
---
Castiel glanced over at Claire. "I'll be okay Cas, go!" she called to him, and he nodded, making his way quickly to Chess, mowing down one of the beasts on the way before finally getting to the cat. "Let's go," he said hastily, bending down so that still wasn't eye level with the thing, despite how abnormally large it was, but this was easier for the two of them to talk with the sounds of fighting and the moaning of the monsters surrounding them. He tucked his angel blade securely into his coat pocket as he spoke, glancing about to make sure nothing was around.
---
This time, the TARDIS just flat out disappeared, though it still shuddered in the vortex as the ball of dark energy passed through the spot where it had been. The Doctor made shushing noises, shaking his head as he stroked the console with one hand, materializing to take another wack at Datara's head or body with the other. As long as he could keep it a bit distracted he knew that he was helping the people fighting down below. Damn, he hoped Clara was alright...

The woman barely hear Natasha over the sound of battle, but nodded in acknowledgement, disintegrating few more around the three people. Kara aimed a set of blasts at the thing that battled with Kayuza's minions, and then another few at some that came near the cat and angel. Then she turned her attention to throwing some more blasts around the teenager, before landing on the ground on one of the smaller ones, managing to throw one or two of the smaller ones against the near free ground/wall.
Clara mean while just kind of watched from around the corner of the building not sure how to help, everyone else had powers or weapons, or knowledge like the Doctor.

@bolderpelt Chess reached out a paw to grab a hold of Castiel, then closed his eyes. A pulling sensation pulled at them both as they shimmered out of view.
Chess opened his yellow eyes, looking around at the desert area. Removing his paw from Cas, and the other away from the arm, he looked around and said "We're here." The chubby feline glanced around to see where they were, murmuring "Suna..." Sighing, he dusted himself off, telling Cas "Let's go. Keep a look out for anything weird. Basically, in your case, point anything out." Paws leaving prints in the sand, he began walking. The main village was far away, from the looks of it. That wasn't what they were there for. They were there for, yet Chess hadn't yet noticed it, the blue markings that were beginning to appear on the ground, a large pair of ears near silently rising. The soft winds buried what little sound there was. However, sound wasn't needed as The ears and markings rose up, mounds of sand crushing together to form a body, arms reaching out to block their way. Chess turned around a looked up hopefully, then groaned. The figure looked over then, wisps of sand trailing off of it as Chess bowed his head, nudging Castiel's leg with a paw so he'd do the same. A pair of glowing gold eyes opened up in its face, blinking once as it just seemed to be... watching them. Nothing more. However, it wouldn't allow them to leave just yet. If one had better lighting, they could see the massive being was basically just a fat tanuki with blue markings.
This creature wasn't exactly their main target. More like a... piece of the puzzle.
"I know what you are, Cheshire Cat, but not this one here. What the hell are you?" it spoke, looking at Castiel, leaning down so it looked over them more "I've never seen something like you before. Well, sort of. You're like a Jinchuuriki, but a different creature. Explain yourself."

"Uh," Cas said as Chess nudged him, but bowed nonetheless, shifting awkwardly as his leather shoes sunk into the dune. He straightened after a moment, shifting again as he met the creature's glowing, golden eyes, explaining in a steady voice, "I am Castiel, an Angel of the Lord. I do not believe I am from your universe." Cas, in turn, had no idea what a Jinchurriki is, but he didn't speak any further. He didn't know what this large creature was, or its intentions. In fact, he was quite lost in this whole thing, his vast knowledge of the supernatural lore in his own universe essentially useless with all of these various people and creatures he had met, and in all the different universes he had been dragged to. He had enough sense in him to try not to push it when it came to these things either. He had to get back to his boys in one piece, after all, to fight the good fight.

@bolderpelt Datara was now just swatting at the TARDIS, bellowing its rage. It couldn't blast it with energy now, because it was too hard to track. So, Datara could only hope to grab The Doctor's beloved ship. Swiping a hand, some of its flesh jumped off to form little spikes every now and then, trying to get at the Time Lord. Slowly, the minions it had out were yanked back to their host. The creature was too focused on The Doctor to keep the minions around. So, the plan was working. Datara even saw fit in closing all of the reality rips, no longer stealing life. Now it was fully focused on the telephone box that saw fit in attacking it.

The Doctor growled under his breath as he felt something (one of the spikes) jab into the TARDIS' hull. The ship moaned and groaned, but the Time Lord held her steady, steering back into the vortex and helping to burn the whatever it was off in the split second he had slipped into that little pocket of nothingness between realities, once again smashing into Datara. His ship was getting tired though, he could feel it, hear it in his mind. His people had once grown fleets of battle equipped TARDIS', but his? His was not one of them. She was for travel, not ramming into so-called gods that were trying to kill their friends.

Datara finally caught the TARDIS, and was about to crush it, but was forced to drop the ship when a bolt of lightning crashed into it. It growled, reaching to grab Barachiel, but the archangel had already leaped out of the way. Datara, getting angrier, whipped around to try and find the TARDIS again, yelling about how it would crush them all under its foot. By that time, it was just Datara. Its minions had retreated to its body. However, that many it was even bigger now, of gargantuan size.
---
"Ohoho!" The giant laughed "So you're like Datara? Some high and mighty thing? Let me squish you then!" Just as it lifted its large foot, Chess waved his paws, yelling "No, Shukaku! He's not like Datara!" Chess watched "Shukaku" lower his foot, narrow eyes looking Castiel over. Finally, he sat back, questioning "Whaddya want, fools?" Chess hesitated, but eventually said "The Gedo Statue?" The tanuki paused, then loomed over them again, asking "And how do you plan to power up such a thing, cat?"
Chess went quiet in thought, then loomed over at Castiel. Inching over, he asked quietly "Um... do you by any chance have a way to charge things with those powers of yours? Like a... jumpstart?" Shukaku, who leaned down to be nosey, questioned "How can this guy tame the Gedo Statue?" Chess only smiled. The statue was like a... sleeping vessel. All the beings held inside were dormant, just needing a little wakey wakey. The cat wasn't sure, honestly, about what Cas could do to it, but he was the best shot. When awake, the statue, which was Datara's size, could do battle with the beast.
