How is it different?Steve asked himself. He wasn't thinking about what Bucky had really meant, about being transformed into someone he didn't want to be. "If you're referring to HYDRA, they're not going to take you again. I won't let that happen to you." Steve knew he was scared. And yes, it was frustrating to try to convince him everything was alright like a scared animal, especially with how stubborn he was being. He hoped that in time, Bucky would come to terms with him. "Steve, I'm not worried about that, just..." Bucky huffed, shaking his head before setting his glass down once more and saying rapidly, "you know what, I'm going to take a walk. Can I take a walk? I guess I can, since, you know, this isn't a prison." And with that, he walked out the door, heading down the hall. [[ tony or one of your other characters or loki might run into him i guess? ]]

Sure, I can bring in Loki to try to make it more interesting. I know he was supposed to do the fingerprint thing, but we can just roleplay that another time if you want.]
"Right. Go ahead." Steve moved out of the way for him to go.
Loki was wandering around the halls, hoping to get a chance to change back into himself again. This time for more than a few minutes! He heard footsteps against the tile floor which made him curse under his breath. Would he ever get to be alone in this godforsaken place?! He didn't realize it was Bucky.

[[ okay! ]]
It didn't take long for Bucky to round the corner and see Lukas, also known as Loki. He narrowed his eyes, marching right up to him and then asking, quite nicely for how pissed he looked, "Everything okay." He was still seething from his little chat with Captain America. How could he have ever been friends with that man? He didn't know him. Steve didn't know who he was either.

Loki relaxed when he saw it was him, the only person who didn't care who he was. "Yeah, well sort of. Natasha doesn't seem to trust me at all." Bucky looked like he had just gotten out of bed, hair all ungroomed, face red. He looked flustered. "You?"

"No," Bucky said simply, brushing past him, and then saying, "come on, we're walking." He knew there was nothing else constructive that he could do to keep himself from actually bunching someone's nose into their brain at the moment.

Loki's eyes widened. "Alright." he felt ashamed of himself slightly that he was letting this mortal shove him around, it was very unlike him. Usually he would make his own decisions, but right now he didn't care that much. He kept pace with Bucky, walking steadily behind him. "Do you have an idea of where you want to go?"

"No," Bucky replied, "somewhere open. I don't... I don't feel good." He shook his head slightly. There was no way that he was going to spill his guts to Loki. Not about his feelings, of all things...

Loki grumbled under his breath, this guy was so... different. Unlike the Avengers, hard to predict, so secretive. Why couldn't he just make a clear point. He didn't want to make an enemy of him right now, so he kept his mouth filtered from anything snappy. "Then lead us to where you want to go."

Bucky did as he was told. He walked, and walked, and walked some more, until he came out into a broader hallway, and made his way out and onto an outside deck. It was cold, dusted with snow, which was still billowing, but as the Winter Soldier stood there, gripping the guardrail and clenching his teeth, he didn't seem to notice it too much. His hair whipped in his face, and he was stock still as his wide blue eyes made contact with the road below, watching cars go by. "Loki," he finally said after moment, word coming out in more of a sigh than a concrete phrase.

"Yes?" Loki followed his gaze to the streets of New York. He didn't have to adjust to the coldness of the atmosphere, he was already a Frost Giant, coldness ran through his veins. He figured it might be okay to shift into his Asgardian form again, and did so. Bucky would likely not freak out, since he knew who he was. He waited impatiently for him to continue.

"What the hell are we gonna do?" He wasn't ready to be here. Loki couldn't be here, no matter what. He was going to get himself into trouble because he was going to snap and accidentally hurt someone. Loki was gong to be seen, and then dragged off, and Bucky put in even more trouble... his mind was just racing. It hurt. He was already tired again, but he couldn't go back with Steve. Not yet.

"We? What do you mean, we? I'm going to leave as soon as I get some rest. Maybe not to Asgard just yet, but somewhere else." He stated firmly. "You.... you..well, I thought you wanted to stay here with Mr. Star Spangled Banner. He is your friend, isn't he? Or did something happen?"

"Not my friend," Bucky sighed, shaking his head and quickly running a hand through his hair, "hasn't been for a long time... I, um, it's a long story." His Adam's Apple bobbed up and down for a second as he stared down over the railing.

"I see." It sounded so much like his complicated relationship with his "brother" Thor. One minute, they were fighting Dark Elves, the next, he was banishing him from Asgard. Loki wasn't going to prod any further, he knew how touchy these types of situations could be. "I told you what I'm going to do, now what are you going to do?"

"I don't know," Bucky said, shaking his head softly, "Steve says I can leave whenever, but I know he ain't going to keep his word on that. There's no way I'm leavin'." He sighed softly, looking up to the building ahead of him, brow furrowed in something between anger and... maybe sadness? His face wasn't used to emoting yet.

You're really great at roleplaying Bucky. <33]
"Suit yourself." Loki shrugged his shoulders. He walked slowly a few steps away with his hands together behind his back. The trickster god was contemplating about how he would get away without drawing too much attention. He continued to watch the dark streets that ran down below the tower. They were lit only by the headlights of the cars that drawled by on the busy streets heavy with traffic. He looked over at Bucky again only after a new idea had struck him. "You know, we're both outcasts.. considered untrustworthy even by people who were once allies. How would you appeal to coming with me?"

[[ thanks <3 ]]
Bucky glanced up, eyebrows raising in surprise. He scanned the god over, to try and detect and see if he was toying with him, but he didn't find it within the other man. "I..." he said, pondering. Did he want to be associated with Loki, to be with another villain, though he himself knew, deep down, that he wasn't a villain. Did he want to worry Steve? But, he did need more time to wrap his head around all this, so eventually, he nodded. "Yes. I'll come with you. Only on one condition though. When I'm ready to come back, you bring me back, okay?"

"Deal." Loki grinned slyly. His eyes gleamed with mischief and delight at Bucky's agreement. "We leave first thing tomorrow. Meet me here, and we'll decide where to go."

Bucky gave a small nod, and an even smaller smile, before he dipped his head, gestured to the door, and said simply, "Getting cold." With that, he turned, and went inside, beginning to make his way back down the hall. It took him about five minutes like it had before, but he found his way back to the entrance to his floor, pushing the door open and glancing around for Steve, to see if he'd made himself scarce or if he'd stayed and waited for him to get back. He didn't know if he wanted either, but there was no in between.

Okay! Ikr, it's so awesome.]
The next morning at the break of dawn, Loki was at the same location from the night before, waiting for his "friend". Wait, friend? No, he was just there for company and assistance. He thought about all the places they could go. Somewhere on earth wouldn't be smart. Someone was bound to recognize him, again. And going to Asgard was also out of the question. They'd need to go somewhere very far away.

Bucky, a couple minutes later, showed up. He had a small backpack over his shoulder, maybe big enough to fit one change of clothes, but he'd squeezed three in. His had-been matted hair was brushed now, and as neat as it could be at its length. "Ready?" he asked as he stepped outside, screwing up his eyes against the wind.

"As I'll ever be." Loki said coolly. A crooked smile escaped his lips. "I'm going to take us to another realm, Alfheim. Those light elves are oblivious to what happened in New York."

"Ah," Bucky said softly, "I'm assuming since they're light elves they're, you know, nice...?" He cocked a dark eyebrow, staring at the trickster god. He didn't want to go to a place where they would easily be in trouble, running from things...

"Of course...." he nodded. "I wouldn't take us to a place where we'd constantly have to hide. They also have a thing for nature, y'know. So think twice before you smack a butterfly." Loki joked. He held out his arm for Bucky to grab.

"Why would I want to kill a butterfly?" Bucky muttered, shaking his head as he reached out and laid his cold, metal hand on Loki's outstretched arm, face screwing up as he prepared to be swept into the sky, like he had seen other people and aliens be on TV.

Take us to Alfheim. Loki thought to himself. As soon as Bucky had grabbed his armor, they disappeared into the morning mist. Loki felt stretched and strained as they traveled through the loop. But it was the only way to get there, and he knew it would be over soon.
