(Wow that is literally amazing. I love it. And it's literally 1000 times better planned than anything I write, which is usually a few pages of something completely random and unplanned. I would love to read that if it were a book so I'm sure that if you finish it you could get it published. I would definitely love to read it so I know others would) (Aaaahhhh Thankyou so much!!! >////< I've had it in the works for over 4 years now, and I've started and stopped so many damn times trying to write it... I'm farther than I've ever been before, in at 8000 words and on chapter 5!!!) (Wow,congratulations! Honestly I bet it's just amazing. I hope you get it published and I get to read it one day)

Damianos gritted his teeth, feeling a surge of anger; he felt he knew that they would not respectfully bury this gladiator with the needed fee for the ferry to cross the river Styxx- this man deserved more than that. He walked over to Aedan, suddenly feeling a searing pain in his leg. He flinched and looked down, watching a trickle of red run from his thigh. 'oh.' He managed to say, examining the wound, then wearily looking up at his partner.

Aedan caught sight of the wound at the same time as Damianos, and wordlessly ripped a piece of his tunic and wrapped the material to cover as much of the wound as he could.
"It will suffice for now" Aedan murmured gently "but it will need to be examined to be sure it is not an important artery."

"It will suffice for now" Aedan murmured gently "but it will need to be examined to be sure it is not an important artery." He nodded, then blushed deeply at an endeared chorus of 'aww' from the crowd. 'Really??' He muttered, embarrassed, finding that completely unecessary. 'Are we able to leave the arena now?' He asked, trying to keep his gaze away from their slaughtered enemies.

"Ignore the crowd" Aedan said firmly "I am trying to make sure that you don't bleed to death. If that was an important artery, you would collapse before you got out of here. This way, you can way least walk out of the Arena to get some medical attention before you lose too much blood"
With that, he looked towards the entrance back down into the darkness, knowing that would be back in the dark maze beneath the Arena in a matter of moments

Sighing hopelessly he shook his head, then felt a wave of dizziness, and heavily leant on Aedan. 'Okay. Definitely go.' He mumbled, limping back towards the tunnels beneath the arena so he could receive medical attention.

Aedan nodded, happily supporting his friend as the two made their way below the Arena.
"See," Aedan joked, trying to lighten the mood as the walked towards the physician's room "this is what happens when I put you on the defensive. You go and get your thigh cut up. I guess your next lesson from me will the the placement of arteries you don't want to be severed"

His eyes shone with amusement as he looked at Aedan, grinning widely. 'Cocky.' He said, feeling his dizziness start to fade, and the pain in his leg lessen slightly.

Aedan laughed too, unable to help it when he heard Damianos' contagious laugh.
"I have every right to be," He smiled "I'm not the one with their thigh slashed to ribbons. Come on now, we should get you seen too"
At the last sentence he led Damianos into what could only be described as an infirmary, with beds and a couple of physicians hurrying from bed to bed. He sat Damianos on the nearest one and stood nearby, examining himself for wounds too.
"Mind you, you have done your job well" Aedan admitted "I have only minor scrapes"
He had only a couple of slashes here and there, nothing deep enough to cause issues or warrant being seen to by a physician. Not like Damianos and his leg

She grabbed his shoulder and tugged, "Turn around sir." She said moving back to let him get up from the cart. She tried not to blush as she saw his fit form, she moved her arms so they laid in front of her holding the pristine white clothe which seemed exceedingly bright in contrast to her lilac dress. She could hear the people start to cheer for the games to start and she could feel the pit in her stomach grow more in size from the anxiety of standing in view of the people. She could hear the impatient whispers of her parents and her brother which only made her blush a soft pink. She let out a breath and shook her head a lock of black hair fell over her shoulder.

As soon as she spoke to him, it gave Aedan the ability to react, and so he did as he had been bid, until he was facing her, and his own face was now revealed.
Aedan's face, like many of his culture, was raw boned, who strong cheekbones and a strong jaw, unlike the fine boned facial structure of the Romans.
When he saw who had addressed him, he did a quick bow in greeting "My lady," He greeted politely.
He heard the screams from within the Arena "I am afraid we will not have much time to speak"

Not like Damianos and his leg Damianos smiled both with warmth and with pride. 'Good.' He murmured, examining him. 'I didn't want you getting hurt.' He admitted in turn, blushing a little. He looked up as a physician approached them, and asked in rapid-fire Roman what was wrong. Damianos' eyes widened as he struggled to understand the quick speech, but got the gist and unwrapped his thigh slowly, in case it was still heavily bleeding. It had slowed to a trickle, and he relaxed, curiously examining it. It somehow didn't look as deep. The physician frowned, muttered something about 'halflings', then crouched to clean out the wound, Damianos hissing with pain- this seemed to hurt more than the wound itself.

Aedan raised an eyebrow when he saw how the wound had appeared to have begun to heal by itself. If Aedan needed any proof of Damianos being a demi - god, this would be it.
"Wow," He murmured "I didn't know that your body could heal by itself"
When his friend started to hiss in pain, Aedan tensed just a little bit, as if wanting to be protective. But there was nothing to protect Damianos from - this was all for his own good.

He flinched as the physician pushed his finger into the wound to further clean it, tearing up a little and squeezing his eyes shut. Finally the physician finished and bound his wound with fresh bandages, and then stood, looking at Aedan. 'I'm going to give you fresh bandages.' He said. 'You are to clean his wound tomorrow and bind it again.' Damianos wiped his brow, struggling to contain his annoyance at th Physician as he gave the bandages to Aedan, and then walked away to continue helping other gladiators. Once he was gone, Damianos said, 'ow.'

(Haha I wanted to sleep in but my body hates me XD)
Aedan smiled at his friend "Yeah, I should have prepared you for that, huh? When it first happened you didn't notice for ages, so I assumed the nerves were shot and you wouldn't feel the pain. But obviously it's healed a little since then."
Aedan had done this job many times, and was always the one to whom the physician's entrusted the aftercare of wounds. He had been here long enough to have seen every type of wound a gladiator could get, and since he had spent so much time here when he was first captured he had seen enough of the procedures for cleaning and binding wounds.

(Awh bless 😂 Oh we found our Elf, he's brought us a gift of socks ahaha) Damianos listened to him closely, watching him as he spoke, nodding every so often to show he understood. 'Are we going back to the hold?' He curiously asked, slowly standing; wincing as his leg twinged angrily with pain. He hissed through his teeth. 'Darn things worse than before.' He complained, looking at Aedan with a slight pout.

(Hehe I think we're putting the tree up in our house todsy)
Aedan smiled "Yeah, we'll get you back through. It's probably best if you start resting that leg as soon as possible"
So, allowing Damianos to lean on him, he helped him out of the room and the pair began navigating the dark hallways, the faint sounds of the crowd cheering still reaching them even through the stone.

(We've had ours up for about a week now, I'm debating on putting up the one in my room) 'Yes'sir.' He jokingly replied, trying not to lean on his friend too much as he knew he weighed quite a bit. He then frowned, and stopped him. 'Aedan.' He said, voice taking on a strange calm. 'Where do all of these tunnels lead?' He asked, looking at him.

Aedan looked to his friend when he asked about the tunnels, and replied slowly "Well, there is a whole underground complex here. Our quarters are rather large - there are about three more holding areas here. Then there is the infirmary, the armoury, the training grounds, the animals' cages, and then there are entrances onto the market square and onto a burial grounds out back."

Aedan nodded "Yes, and I know what you're thinking. The market square is not the best bet. The burial grounds are. Nobody but Emperors are allowed to be buried inside of the city, and these burial grounds are outside of the city walls. It's a long tunnel with a high chance of being given caught before we get to the end of it"

'There's two of us.' He said, looking at him. 'I can still fight. If someone approaches we say we got lost, take them out whilst they're unawares.' His heart was thumping in his chest at the prospect of escape, and he looked at Aedan. 'I can get you home, Aedan.' He said, his tone pleading. 'Please, let me aid you.'

Let's go while we have the chance, Aedan- id rather see you to your freedom and family than remaining here for another five years. I have nobody to return home to.' He continued, pain in his eyes. 'But you do.'

I can make it.' He straightened, removing his arm from Aedan's shoulders and looking to him to lead the way.

Aedan smiled at his friend's kind comment, and began to lead the way through the darkness.
They entered into a particularly dark and wide passage, which Aedan recognised to be the passage to the burial grounds.
