Aedan knew what his friend was saying, and he didn't hesitate. He put a hand on his new friend's shoulder and simply said "I follow your lead. Do what you need to, Damianos, and I will have your back, always."

Aedan knew what his friend was saying, and he didn't hesitate. He put a hand on his new friend's shoulder and simply said "I follow your lead. Do what you need to, Damianos, and I will have your back, always." He flushed and felt his chest swell with love and admiration for his friend. He said nothing; the moment was perfect as it was; instead choosing to head towards their fate. He flinched at the roaring crowd as they were equipped and then brought to the 'surface' through the tunnels, Damianos clutching his sword tightly, adrenaline already pouring into his veins. 'Let's do this.' He murmured, completely ready.

Aedan nodded, and as they went to step out into the Arena, he murmured to Damianos "Whatever happens know is going to make these last five years worth something, and for that I would like to thank you, Damianos"

Aedan nodded, and as they went to step out into the Arena, he murmured to Damianos "Whatever happens know is going to make these last five years worth something, and for that I would like to thank you, Damianos" (Awwwwww!!!! QwQ) Damianos looked at him, feeling that stabbing swell in his chest again. His gaze softened towards the other male and he nodded, now ignoring their surroundings to focus solely on his friend. They stopped within the arena and said their salutes to the emperor, then Damianos took a deep breath and turned to face their competition. (Shall we rp the other two gladiators or just RP it like a scene and go straight into the fight?)

(Hehe ikr? I had to
Also, it depends on what we want to happen in this scene, if you know what I mean. I'm feeling like we should probably rp it as a scene but like I said it depends)

(Whoops sorry for poof)
Aedan and Damianos' opponents were not too large, at least not compared to the Greek man, but they had a hostile energy that struck some kind of primal fear into Aedan.
The blond looked to his friend for any hint as to how he wanted to approach this situation. Ann important part of pairs would be taking cues from his partner

The blond looked to his friend for any hint as to how he wanted to approach this situation. Ann important part of pairs would be taking cues from his partner Damianos closely examined the two gladiators before them, considering what kinds of moves they would make based on their physical appearance and what he could perceive of their agility. 'I'll take defence.' He murmured. 'Let me be your wall.' He looked at him. 'I'll take any hits coming your way- focus on cutting them down, and I'll finish them off.'

Aedan nodded, shifting into a position where he could easily dodge behind Damianos. He felt bad about making his friend take defense on the first fight but he knew that questioning Damianos would be the last thing the Greek would need with everything that had happened.
And so it began, with the slower Damianos being a string defense and making high impact attacks while the swifter Aedan danced on the balls of his feet, making light jabs as he did and moving behind Damianos for defense.
The Celt had switched into a fighting mode, and every part of his brain seemed to shut off but the most primal as he concentrated on the fight.

The Celt had switched into a fighting mode, and every part of his brain seemed to shut off but the most primal as he concentrated on the fight. Damianos gritted his teeth, eyes a wolfish glare as he caught hard against the two gladiators, trusting completely in Aedan to watch him and ensure he wasn't killed. He grunted as he stopped a heavy blow from the bigger male, bracing his legs; his arms shook as the two leaned into their weapons; Damianos slid his sword up the others blade, a smooth humming noise ringing out as they span around each other. He ducked behind the second gladiator, then placed himself back in front of Aedan, breathing heavily, sweat trickling down his cheeks as the sun made the situation a little worse than what it already was; not to mention the overwhelming noise of the screaming crowd.

Aedan too was starting to sweat in the heat now and with the exertion. He wasn't fighting hard but his focus was speed and trying to put as much power into his attacks as he could without compromising the speed.
He was getting jabs in a lot, and was particularly effective while one of the opposing fighters was caught up fighting Damianos.
The first gladiator and Damianos were fighting each other and were rather distracted, meaning that the second gladiator fixed fixed his sights on Aedan, no doubt trying to work out how to land a hit on him now his defender was distracted.

The crowd suddenly released a bloodthirsty roar as Damianos span around his opponent, slashing his sword across the bottoms of his legs, causing him to collapse with a yell. He then turned and looked at Aedan for help- was he supposed to kill him, or leave that to the Emperor to decide?

Tel me about it! Although maybe not because they say that an author telling someone about what their writing can cause the writer to lose interest in the writing and scrap it or something)

I just won't let anyone read what I've written, I think it's an unspoken authors rule that it's bad luck 😂 The world of Cirabeth stands in mortal turmoil as the tyrannous Emperor Daniel of Bra'ghan threatens total subjugation of all the kingdoms- Princess Katherine marries the hot-headed King of Varezi, Aiden, in order to solidify an alliance between Oceana and Varezi. Through the stress of an impending war, Katherine starts to learn the culture of her new land, whilst rising up to give the women of this kingdom a voice, and stave off the volatile demands of Daniel... and a new quest begins when she is recruited by the deities of Cirabeth to release the remaining 8 of the Pantheon, whom were sealed 500 years ago in the greatest war all of the realms had ever witnessed. Can Katherine succeed in all of her heavy duties? And what is this mysterious presence that looms over Cirabeth...? I'm sorry it's so bad omg I have an actual synopsis on my Nanowrimo account I just can't recall it rn, but that's basically the first book... it's meant to be a planned series but we'll see how it goes)

One roar was followed by another as Aedan's swift footing allowed for him to find himself behind his opponent, his sword firmly across the other gladiator's throat.
When he saw Damianos looking for him to help, Aedan just gave a very pointed look in the Emperor's box to show that the Emperor decided here and not them.
He hated this part, especially if he was told to kill his opponent. That was always the worst feeling, knowing that all his opponent had done was lost a fight.

(Wow that is literally amazing. I love it. And it's literally 1000 times better planned than anything I write, which is usually a few pages of something completely random and unplanned. I would love to read that if it were a book so I'm sure that if you finish it you could get it published. I would definitely love to read it so I know others would)

He hated this part, especially if he was told to kill his opponent. That was always the worst feeling, knowing that all his opponent had done was lost a fight. Damianos clenched his jaw, then slowly and methodically lowered his sword to rest on the apple of the males throat, as he looked up to the box. Silence fell around the coliseum as they awaited the emperors decision with baited breaths; but of course, the crowd would be disappointed if there was no bloodshed today. Damianos' gaze darkened with anger as the signal was given for their opponents to die. He cursed at the emperor in a hiss under his breath, looking down at his opponent; he was glaring up at him, challenge and determination in his eyes which Damianos could heavily respect. 'I hope Hades let's you in.' He murmured in Greek, before lifting his sword and running it through the opponents neck. (Lord I hope this is PG13 I don't wanna get wrong off the mods 😳😂)

(Saaaaammmeeee x Not to worry, this part will be short as possible.)
Aedan swallowed imperceptibly when he was given the signal for death, at which point he stepped out from behind his opponent and crossed to the front of him.
"You have fought like a warrior, and you will die as befitting a warrior." was all he said before one stroke of his blade led to the silence of death.
Aedan never could stand killing an enemy from behind. It was a grave dishonour in many cultures to be killed from the back as if one was fleeing from battle and not facing their enemy.
He suspected this was the same in Greek culture, as Damianos had done the same thing. But this exchange between Aedan and his opponent had been quite and almost private, exactly how Aedan would prefer his death if it was going to be in the Arena. With some quiet words of respect from the opponent before the dispatch.
