Lucien nodded, blinking a little in surprise as he shook the other man's hand "That would be me. It's a pleasure to meet you, sir. I hear that you've been having dealings with the princess herself - I trust that they have been going well?"
This was his chance. WIla was meant to find out this stuff from Livius but Lucien had an opportunity right here, he was hardly going to pass it up. If he could get something out of Livius now that would be just perfect.

"Not the business you speak of i assure you, I just admire her and attempt to be a model citizen. She is quite the saint, shes been funding many establishments, i even hear of her funding the Colosseum's repairs. Do you think she could use any assistance? I would offer some of my geldings for the chariots and aa large sum to help the construction." He said all the while smiling at the princess's guard.
Sabina slowly walked away from the two women and caught a glass of wine as she leaned against a pillar she drank the liquid, Is this how i am meant to be? A laughing bubbly air head?

Lucien nodded "I think she might appreciate the assistance, certainly, though you may be better suited asking her yourself. But why the interest in her work with the Coliseum in particular? She also funds orphanages and other much more charitable establishments. You may be better supporting those"
He cast a glance towards where he could see Aedan inside, hoping that the other one would catch the glance and make a comment about the gladiator. If he did that, Lucien might be able to pick out what his intentions were with Remus.

"I dont have an interest in those, meant romans find honor in killing slaves and deserve proper horses and the slaves need to let out a good fight." He said fixing his red tunic. "Ive heard you've assisted in training the slaves, Why would a princess's head guard be training savage gladiators?" He asked looking at the solider.

"Because the princess finds happiness in it," he replied simply "and she favours them. And because they are no different from you and I, Livius. They are generally very pleasant, intelligent people to whom unpleasant things have happened"

"They are savages and before they were brought to Rome they were chewing on.raw rats and laying with beasts, like the Celtic women the princess keeps in her presence. Many says shes caught sleeping in the stalls with those beasts. Shes a animal and the princess continues to dress her like a roman women. The princess are taking in slaves and attempting to make romans out of the savages." He raising an eyebrow.

Lucien sighed "Lies, all of them. Wila, the slave you speak of, has a...strictly professional relationship with the horses. I should know, she provides many of the horses for the Arena. And to be quite frank the gladiators aren't treated like humans here. So even if they were as you said, it makes no difference whether they are in Rome or their homelands, apart from they would be much happier at home."

"You sound like you know the horse girl well, and that you've adopted the same opinion of these savages as the princess." He grabbed a glass of wine as a slave brought it to them, "I should find the princess and speak to her about my assistance, you are her guard where is she?" He said snippily looking around for the princess. His eyes landed on Aedan and he glared at the slave then straightened his back and waited for lucien to lead him to the princess being sure to not look at Remus.

Lucien folded his arms "I'll be quite blunt with you, sir. As the trainer of the gladiators it's my business to make sure I know everything that's going on in the Coliseum. I'll take you to the princess when you tell me what your business with Remus was. That's my deal, and you don't get close to the princess without my permission, so you had better spill"

Aedan shrugged "Yeah. You've seen my country. I mean, five years ago you didn't really want to go back to Greece, but I thought maybe you might be ready to visit it again now? We could always flit between the two countries if you want to? It's just a suggestion, of course. I don't really know what you want to do, but I'm willing to do anything if you want to do it" Damianos chewed his bottom lip as he considered it. Did he want to go back to Greece? Was he ready to face what he'd left behind? A lost legacy? 'I'm... not sure.' He curiously replied, looking down at Aedan. 'I'm comfortable to just stay here for now though.' He added, smiling nervously. 'Thanks for being so supportive.'

"I love how you think a insignificant little guard will stop me," He said in a slight laugh, "Dont think you could stop me, your not even in the same league." he. Patted his shoulder and began to walked away from the solider.
Sabina was at the other end of the villa where the gladiators were, she walked up behind Aedan and drew a slim finger down his spine. "Funny how we keep seeing each other at these parties." She smiled her new glass of red wine in her hands.

Lucien moved to send in front of the other hand, hand on the hilt of his sword "I'm afraid I can stop you, because I have a job, and that job is to protect the princess. If I were to let anyone I have reservations about go near her I wouldn't be doing my job. So until you can satisfy those reservations, you're not going any closer to the princess. And you won't try anything on me, either, because if you touch me, that will look like a threat to the princess herself." ------- Aedan's body shivered in surprise as he felt a finger being drawn down his spine. He had tensed a little but relaxed the moment he realised it was Sabina "It is indeed, my lady" he replied with a dip of his head - after all they were still in public "and it's wonderful to see you"

"Fine I wish to speak to the princess on financing the Colosseum so that my younger brother may be able to win some honor once more. He had a spear go through his leg and cant go back to his legion. I want nothing to do with that savage of hers." He hissed.
"Would you care for some wine? my cousin may have a big mouth but she has good taste." She smiled a slight blush on her cheeks.

"Fine," Lucien nodded, sheathing his weapon and stepping aside "but I'd advise you not to call the gladiator a savage in front of her, nor for you to upset the princess in front of the gladiator. The gladiator doesn't take kindly to those who upset the princess and he has had more fighting training over his five years than you have in your military career, I can guarantee you"
--------
Aedan nodded "If you don't mind, it might take the edge off. Thank you"
It wasn't going to be a great night, he didn't think, though he knew that nobody would come near him if the princess was talking to him

'But could we make the doorframe... just that little bit higher? I've gotta duck to get through everyone else's.' He laughed, running a hand through his curls, shaking them out. He frowned as he saw something shimmer- tugged a curl to its full length, and blinked slowly at the silver. '......'

"Sure," Aedan laughed "bigger doorframe it is"
Then he noticed Damianos looking at a silver hair and he sighed, planting a kiss on the other man's forehead, saying "It's okay, I've got a few of those coming through, you just don't notice mine as easily because I'm blonde"

Damianos blinked slowly again and then looked at him. '....... but I'm barely past 30.' He finally managed to say. '....have I really been that stressed?' He curiously asked, before plucking out the hair, not about to let it stay in there, stubborn mule that he was. 'Plus I'm a demigod.' He said. 'I thought we were supposed to stay fighting-fit and handsome as Hades until we died our gruesome deaths in some misfortunate battle or embarrassing event.' He grinned at him wearily, then moved away to start staking out the roundhouse. 'I cannot name one demigod who was happy.' He murmured, his voice soft. 'I tried from a young age to be the first. We live in a limbo- we, as beings of immortality and mortality combined, stand on a fine line. We can be killed by mortal weapons and immortal weapons alike, unlike our enemies. Monsters cancer killed only by our weapons which are blessed by our parents, but even then the bored ba*****s tend to send us out there to see if we'll die anyways.' He straightened up, quietly placing a rock where the fire pit would be. 'Sometimes, i wonder what would happen if I were offered immortality.' He straightened, wiping his forehead, wearing a weird expression on his face.

But just because you're not yet 30 doesn't mean you can't get greys. Some start getting them in their teens. But if it helps, you are still fighting fit and handsome as Hades, and there'll be no gruesome deaths for you, not on my watch." Aedan listened patiently to the other man as he moved closer to him, before replying "If you were offered immortality, would you take it? Some say it is more of a curse than a gift, but I wouldn't know anything about it at all.'" (Sorry it's short XD)

'I.. I don't know.' Damianos softly responded. In truth, he was internally terrified of the day when he would be slaughtered for the amusement of the gods. '...I don't think so.' He eventually said, looking up at Aedan. 'Because then I would lose you, and no godly powers would ever be able to soothe that pain.'
