"...right. .." Aedan laughed "Nobody knows. Great. Expect a lot of questions from those two later. This is going to be an interesting day"
Esca too was looking at them 'Do you two love each other?"
Aedan smiled "Yes, Esca, we do. We love each other very much"
Esca smiled, looking genuinely happy. He was about to say something but was quickly pulled away by some other boys for a game.

Damianos made the laughing noise again and nodded at Esca in agreement, before watching as he was pulled away by the boys to play. His gaze turned longing and soft as he watched them running around, then he lay down with a huff and closed his eyes to rest- the sooner this leg was healed, the better. He hated being stuck.
Later than night he felt well enough to move, and managed to convince some of the Lykos to join the nightly campfire in their wolf forms, laying around nearby it, some of them brave enough to come and lie at the sides of the celts. He limped over himself and sat beside Aedan, yawning, warning the toes of his front paws by the fire. Aquila and Nuellan sat nearby, sharing glances and looking over at the two, both unnaturally gleeful.

Aedan glanced over at Nuellan and Aquila, laughing and beckoning them over.
"Don't just sit over there and smile at us. If you've got questions, come ask them!" He smiled, inviting the two men over.
He felt it would be too strange to just sit there and let them stare at them, so if they came over and talked he felt that that would be considerably better than the rather awkward alternative. And he didn't want them to be asking questions forever, so he figured it would be best for him and Damianos to get their questions out of the way now.

Nuellan, still the quiet one, practically hid behind Aquila as they sat down next to him. 'When did... this- happen?' Aquila chuckled, gesturing between Aedan and Damianos, who shyly covered his face with his paws and whined. 'I always thought there was... something,' Nuellan mumbled, 'but I never realised it was that.' Aquila snickered, looking very, very happy.

Aedan smiled down to Damianos "Come on, it's fine. They deserve to know."
Having said this he turned to the two men "Uh, we officially started a relationship about six years ago or so. But we've liked each other for a lot longer than that, basically about eight years. We've had a connection right from when we met"

Damianos leaned against his partner with a happy sigh, glancing up at the other couple. 'How did we not notice?' Aquila said, sounding amused. 'You hid it well, my friends.'

"Uh, yeah, we kept it on the quiet, I guess" Aedan blushed "though the fact that we've spent most of the time we've known each other apart helped us keep it a secret"
Aedan smiled, looking at Damianos.

The wolf released a loud, guilty whine, looking up at Aedan with what could only be described as 'puppy eyes', ears flat against his head. Aquila shook his head and looked over at the bear, hearing the celts shout with approval as Mishka brought over a massive hunk of leg-meat for them to cook over the fire; a guest offering from the Lykos. Damianos seemed pleased and watched as the celts began to prepare it with the young mother.

Aedan smiled and called out a quick thanks to Mishka and the Lykos in general before turning back to Damianos
"Hey, it's not your fault, remember? We talked about this" He said gently "Don't blame yourself so much about it, okay? It's like Esca said, you had a responsibility to your people. I understand that and I certainly don't blame you for it"

The meat was soon distributed, Mishka bringing a small hunk over for Damianos to wolf down. He stretched and stood, shaking himself and rumbling something to the woman, before limping awkwardly into the family roundhouse that Aedan shared, following his scent to ensure it was the correct one. 'Night Dami- I hope your boo boo is better in the morning.' Aquila teased, grinning, then yelping as Nuellan scoldingly punched him in the stomach.

Aedan laughed at Aquila and Nuellan, shaking his head as he went into the roundhouse with Damianos. Those two were still like children.
He settled down by his furs and watched Damianos settle on his. Esca was already asleep, tired by the play, and so was Eo, tired from...well...pregnancy. Idelle was still outside with the others and would likely stay there for a while yet.

"Your princess is a royal she does this for you so she looks good for the people. And the guards aren't just for you, you are not the only gladiator I do not trust. I dont trust any of you slaves, you are my property until you are dead or you are bought by another and I dont intend to sell the lot of you." The pudgy man sneered and had his guard pushed the men into the building away from Remus who turned and walked towards an eatery with soup and bread. "I'll never die for you," Aedan fumed, addressing Remus but doing so under his breath, knowing the man could no longer hear him. He had decided long ago that if he died as a slave it would never be for Remus. He would think of his home as he died, and that would be his moment of freedom. If his last waking thoughts were to be of anything, it would be of his home, and not of his life as a gladiator, and certainly not of his master. Not if he had any say in it. Most of the time the other gladiators tried unsuccessfully to hit on the girls in the bath house then gave up and started enjoying the hot relaxing bath. Alucius, a german gladiator sat beside Aedan. His pale skin was only slightly darker then Airdens and his hair was a rich brown, with blue eyes that looked like a churning ocean. "So Aedan, what's it like being the favorite of the Princess?" He asked calmly, "Shes been nice to all of us, but shes made it obvious that you are her favorite."

"It is good," Aedan replied gently "She is very generous to me and she visits me often. Her favour certainly makes life a lot easier and she is very kind to me."
Aedan didn't elaborate any further. There wasn't much more to say than he loved having her favour. She was so nice to him.
Aedan shifted a little so the water covered his newest wounds, soothing the newly healed skin on his stomach from the fight when he got Sabina's favour.

Esca was already asleep, tired by the play, and so was Eo, tired from...well...pregnancy. Idelle was still outside with the others and would likely stay there for a while yet. Damianos rested his head on his paws, gazing silently at Eo and her stomach, a protective expression in his eyes. He eventually tore his gaze away and stood, slinking silently over to Aedan and flopping down next to him, cheerfully introducing him to the exceptional, amazing warmth of a real-life giant animal sleeping next to you. He eyed him slyly, knowing it was pleasant- when still learning to transform five years ago, he'd slept in the centre of all of the pack, Medeia usually at his head- he'd never needed any furs to keep him warm, nor to support his head to remain comfortable, as their body heat and soft coats had been plenty enough.

Aedan sighed happily as he felt the warmth of Damianos around during him, moving a little out of his furs with the knowledge that he would soon no longer need them, with the warmth Damianos was giving out. It was so pleasant, the feeling of being so warm and safe.
He closed his eyes again, moving closer to Damianos, hoping to leech more heat and well...generally to be closer to Damianos. It was as if telling people about their relationship had unlocked an aspect of their relationship previously inaccessible to them.

Damianos turned his head to nuzzle into Aedan's hair, feeling the same as he was; he was much more comfortable now, feeling as though something akin to pressure had been lifted, almost as if he'd just realised they didn't have to hide. He sighed softly and fell asleep with ease that night, feeling as though he'd finally come home.

When Aedan woke he could still felt Damianos' warmth and he didn't move, not wanting to break the spell of the beautiful moment. He had never felt so happy and contented in his whole life. It was like Damianos had been missing from his life forever and he was complete now he had found him.

"In Gull our women are the leaders and are considered above men, they choose who they lay with at night and are divine in all men's eyes. If a women chose to give you her gaze and help protect you then she has chosen you to be the keeper of her heart. Though Romans and Celts do things differently then us Gulls. That's obvious from the way men here seem to think women and other men are objects." He chuckled deeply, adjusting so he was sitting in the warm water more comfortably

Aedan nodded "Interesting. We Celts are different. We do not see women as above men, like you Gauls, but we do not see them as below men like the Romans. We see women and men as equal. Both men and women can be leaders and commanders and we share chores and such things between us. Both men and women keep the house and we both hunt."

It was like Damianos had been missing from his life forever and he was complete now he had found him. The wolf was already awake, slightly looking at Aedan from the corner of his eye, and he wagged his tail as a greeting, but didn't move either, also relishing the peace of the early morning. He closed his eyes again, listening to the soft breathing of everyone in the roundhouse. Aquila was hugging Nuellan to his chest under their furs, both looking very comfortable. Damianos definitely felt at home now. He felt the urge to move slowly seep into his muscles however and sighed; he should probably check on the Lykos. He glanced at Aedan again, hoping he'd understand the simple look on his face.

Aedan nodded and both man and wolf got up at the same time, Aedan doing a quick stretch to wake himself up before he headed outside.
He would have to check on how the tribe was doing that morning anyway, so it was probably time for him to get up if he was going to get everything done. He couldn't shirk his many responsibilities for the sake of a lie-in with Damianos, after all. If he did that, he wouldn't be a very good leader at all. That much he knew.

((The feel of the rp rn is so quiet it's lovely)) Damianos stretched and glanced at his leg, realising the pain was gone, and was now a dull ache. He looked up at Aedan and seemed comfortable, bowing his head to him, before they parted ways, heading towards the large bundle of fur that was the Lykos clan. He curiously moved through them, trying to find mishka, and felt a vague sense of worry when he couldn't. He lowered his nose to follow her scent, feeling slow panic set in when he realised she'd left the village. He glanced up at Aedan and released a low woof to grab his attention.

(IKR? So peaceful)
Aedan had been organise a hunting group when he heard Damianos howl, and he immediately ran over to see what the problem was.
"What's going on?" Aedan asked, immediately concerned "Is everything alright?"
He could sense Damianos' worry and he knew something was wrong. But he had no idea what. Was everything okay? Was something going on with the Lykos? What was happening?
He had no idea but he was worried for his partner

He had no idea but he was worried for his partner He looked at the pack, then at the gate, whining and pacing it, needing Aedan to open it so he could go out and search for his missing pack member. He wasn't sure how she'd gotten out, unless she'd climbed and then left. Mishka was known to wander, but he didn't want her walking out on her own when she didn't know the territory yet. He jumped up at the gates and looked back at Aedan expectantly, looking more stressed by the minute as his nose flared to try and take in her scent and figure out which way she had gone. Once the gate was open, he looked at Aedan and made a gesture to his back, much as he had done to Esca.

Aedan opened the gate as requested, and ran to grab his sword before jumping on Damianos' back.
He still had no idea what had happened, but clearly it was something bad, judging by how stressed Damianos seemed to be at that moment. So he decided not to question the other male any more, and just to do what the wolf asked him to do. That was the only way anything was going to work in this situation. He knew he just had to trust Damianos

He released a loud huff as Aedan's weight dropped onto his back, and realised he wouldn't be able to go far with the splint. He twisted enough to grab the bandage and viciously tear at it until he was free from it, and tested out the weight on the leg. It seemed alright. He began to trot out of the village, already panting as he set himself into a rhythm and followed Mishka's scent. They travelled for a good hour, damianos' panic becoming greater by the minute, until he was almost running in his need to find the woman. He narrowed his eyes on something in the distance- and then he released a loud, terrified yelp, sprinting suddenly forwards. He loped a few leagues and skidded to a halt before the mutilated body of the woman. He practically shook Aedan from his back and stood over her body, nudging her cheek, hot breath on cold skin. She was gone. Utter horror in his eyes, he then moved his nose to her stomach; Gone. He flattened his ears to his head and slowly sat down, before releasing a loud, mournful howl, tipping his head back to the dark sky.
((Poor Mishka))

(Jesus this is savage)
Aedan put his hand over his mouth in shock. He had seen a lot of death in his time, but never a murder in cold blood. This was on a whole other level.
"How do we tell her sons?" he murmured "How do we tell the boys? And who did this?"
So many questions. Oh so many questions. And questions that would probably never be answered. Murders could be committed by anyone and nobody would ever truly have any proof of it. But Aedan felt it was their duty to find out who,and to bring them to justice,

((I know I'm sorry x'D))
Damianos finished howling, body trembling as he pushed himself against Aedan's body. He heard the distant howling of the pack, equally as mournful, as they told him they were on their way to collect the body. He turned and stuck his nose back to the ground, his initial shock and pain swiftly turning into anger- Mishka didn't deserve this. He snorted as he picked up the musky scent of men, and looked at Aedan, nodding his head to his back again. Once he was on he set off, following the scent with murderous intent. They wouldn't get away with this. He'd have all of their throats.

There was nothing that rivalled the feeling of power and freedom that came with running with wolves. He turned to continue following the scent, which was starting to mingle with more- they were nearing a village. Murderers. He released a vicious, angry snarl, baring his fangs as he leapt swiftly over a log and slowly closed the distance between him and his prey.
