Larksong nosed her way out of camp as she fallowed Thistlestride out of camp. "So, that's kinda cool that you're the first one to be head warrior thing," she commented as she padded to his side. "That should be fun," she mewed as she padded farther into the forest. It was like a second home to her, camp being the first one. It was a mother gentle tongues as soothing a kit as it squirmed from a nightmare. Relaxing more, she stopped t see if the tomcat was following.

Appledew glimpsed the two leaving the camp from the corner of one vibrant-yellow eye. He was becoming bored with laying around in the sunlight, so he decided to join them. He slithered out of the thorny undergrowth surrounding the dens of camp and jogged over to them.

{{ Agh sorry I poofed! Yesterday was hectic I had so much hw omg but I got on top of things today :) The reason it was so crazy was because I've been preparing for a weekend trip to Cali. And honestly I just wanted to say that like it was no big deal to see what rich people feel like but I'm actually so excited! I've barely left the surrounding states of Tn so I'm hella ready for this as a diagnosed (by myself) wanderluster. Anyways today and the next two days I won't be on much if at all because of this trip but after that I should be solid. I'll try to be back in a moment to rp some XD }}

What was the deal with the snakes these past few days? Usually there was one snake bite every other greenleaf, if that, and now there was at least one snake bite and an almost snake bite. It seemed as if the snakes were out more than usual this season, which wasn't good at all. Chickenstar would have to be informed about this. Perhaps even Redstorm so she can send patrols out in places where snakes aren't as common. A question then came to her. "A rattlesnake by the creek? That's odd..." Usually rattlesnakes were up by Pine Ridge with cottonmouths and copperheads controlling the creek. Something was up with the snakes this season.

Mudfeather perked her ears in interest when Wiltedpetal admitted to this not being why she had come. The medicine cat tilted her head to the side, wondering what the warrior had on her mind. "Whatever's on your mind you can tell me," she mewed softly, wanting Wiltedpetal to know that she was there for her. Was this something about Webwhisker? Was she curious to know if Mudfeather had seen him anywhere in StarClan? Or was it something entirely different that Mudfeather had yet to know about? Only time could tell it seemed.

The moment she was called a kittypet was the moment she felt all of her fur bristle up and her fangs bare. "Who are you calling kittypet?" She spat, claws digging into the dry ground beneath her paws. "I'll show you what a true forest cat can do, you no good mange-pelt." Crystal took a few steps closer, amber eyes narrowed and fangs still bared. She was more than ready for a fight, and she was more than ready to beat down this Clan cat to show him who was boss.

Wiltedpetal nodded. It was certainly odd. But perhaps it was a one time thing, sometimes an occasional rattlesnake could wander away. It wasn't like they were physically confined to one area. When Mudfeather continued, Wiltedpetal merely sighed.

After a few moments of silence, she tentatively replied. "Something isn't right with me...." She slowly sat down, flattening her ears to her skull. "I feel weird..." She hesitated, swiping her paws against the soft flooring. Her gaze drifted towards her paws, and she silenced herself once more, contemplating everything that had been happening to her recently. Slowly, the gears in her head started to churn, slowly but steadily, and then she raised her head to peer up at Mudfeather hesitantly. "I think I..."

Wiltedpetal was sick? Was she injured somewhere and the wound had been hiding? If that were the case then a wound in this sort of heat would fester and grow infected in no time. Was that what was wrong with the warrior? Instantly Mudfeather became worried. She got up to her paws and sniffed around the curly furred she-cat, scenting no signs of infection or open skin. Then what was wrong? A bad toothache? Stomach pain? Headache? Mudfeather was more than worried over the she-cat who she saw as a friend.

"You think you're what?" The tortoiseshell and white asked slowly, softly, not wanting to push Wiltedpetal, but wanting to know just exactly what was wrong. She wanted to help Wiltedpetal with all she had, so if the light gray she-cat knew what was wrong, then Mudfeather could help her out.

Mudfeather was just wanting to help Wiltedpetal. Something was wrong with her and apparently she had no clue as to what that was. Mudfeather leaned forward and nuzzled the she-cat lightly. "We'll figure this out," she murmured gently as she stepped away from Wiltedpetal and looked her over with blue eyes. There was something that was standing out a bit now that Mudfeather was really looking at her... A twinge in her stomach brought her back just as Wiltedpetal asked an odd question.

The medicine cat blinked. "Fat?" She asked slowly, looking over the she-cat once again. Warriors could very easily become plump when prey was plentiful like it was now, but fat? Clan cats weren't kittypets. Only kittypets got fat.

Then Mudfeather noticed something. Having looked over Wiltedpetal's flanks she realized that there was a bulge to her sides... That's when it hit her. Mudfeather looked up at Wiltedpetal with a gleam of knowing in her eyes. "You're not fat. You're expecting kits," she breathed, perking up just slightly as the excitement for her friend rushed through her. Wiltedpetal would make an amazing mother!
