As soon as the word snake came up Mudfeather froze. She was brought back to the moment when Halfear came running into camp about how Blackpelt had been bitten. Was the same snake that bit Blackpelt the one that almost got a hold of Cinderpaw? Possibly. Then again, there were plenty of snakes out and about in the woods. Not all of them could be the same snake, or even close to being the same snake. Mudfeather took a shaky breath as she tried to steady herself. At some point or another she had to stop thinking so much about Blackpelt, but it was hard, especially when she was going through something that Blackpelt should have been there with her for.
After a moment the medicine cat finally found her voice once more. "Is he okay?" Surely he was if Wiltedpetal hadn't rushed him to her as soon as it had happened. If he was in any pain whatsoever Mudfeather was sure his mentor would have brought him in. "Does he need anything for slight shock?" The she-cat questioned, honestly concerned for the white and brown apprentice. If he was in need of anything then Mudfeather was going to help him get what he needed. She assumed he was mostly alright, but she could never know for sure.

{ I mean the two mian characters been through hell and back with eachother have two beautiful baby boys and then he comes home after making a deal with the cops that if they drop her case and keep her safe he'd take the blame for everything and spent 25(+) years in prison. He comes home to find her dead in the floor (I cant tell you by who but it'll shock the hell out of you) And nows he's in prison. His wife and soulmate is dead and his two boys are on the outside mother and fatherless being raised by the killer... }

Oatshine sighed softly as he saw right through her lie. Sweeping her tail till I rested, curled around her paws, she frowned slightly. "Yeah, wasn't the best rights sleep. I just couldn't get comfortable and just .. yeah," Oatshine mewed softly. The pale ginger tabby looked over at Galefoot. Her ears heated slightly as looked at the attractive tomcat that sat with her. Galefoot couldn't help but frown as she did. He hadn't meant to make her possibly feel bad for not getting enough sleep, that definitely wasn't what he wanted. "I'm sorry," he murmured. An idea entering his head, he decided he'd collect miss later in hopes of making her next more comfortable. "Would you like to go for a walk? Maybe get your mind off of it." |

"He is fine." She reassured her softly. As far as she knew, he would surely have felt it when the snake latched on. She knew the pain could be so unbearable, it was hard to believe he could race all the way back to camp if he had bitten. "It lashed out at me, as well." She continued. "I just thought it would be best if I warned you. It was a rattlesnake by the creek." She added the last sentence as an afterthought. The clan was in danger of being bitten anywhere they went, controversial to what some others believed.
Wiltedpetal hesitated once more, debating on whether she should converse with Mudfeather a little bit more. "But this isn't why I wanted to speak with you..." Surely Wiltedpetal should have known by now that she was expecting kits, but it seemed impossible to be knowledgeable about her own issues, while she could be so attentive with others. But she wasn't, and she only had the slightest bit of niggling in the back of her mind.

A few heartbeats of silence passed between them, the pale ginger tabby looked around the camp to see who all was coming back from patrol and who was leaving. She liked knowing where others went, it made her feel a lot better if she knew her clan mates were leaving and where to. It was a strange habit of hers to always ask. She didn't think anything of it but others thought it was a little strange her asking where they were going.
Turing back to the other warrior, she nodded at his question." Sure! I'd love to go on a walk with you," she purred softly as she got to her paws. "Where will we be walking to? I don't mind where we go," she mewed happily looking over at Galefoot.

So far it seemed as if the Clan was welcoming this idea of a new rank. Chickenstar gave himself an internal pep talk that this would be good for the Clan. If any cat had doubt in the need of a new rank he would very well want to hear what they had to say. For now, though, it seemed as if no cat was standing up to defy his suggestion. So he took that as a sign to keep going. This new rank was something he had thought on for a while now, and for all he knew it wouldn't even be permanent, it would just be a rank to have for a few seasons until things settled down. But Chickenstar just felt like it was right. So he went into explaining it. "This new rank will be a head warrior. With as much work that we need to do, there is a possibility that both Redstorm and I will be out of camp at the same time, and if something were to happen we may not have a cat to go to. In such a case the head warrior will act as a leader of the sorts if neither leader or deputy is out of camp. If just the deputy is out of camp then the head warrior will act as deputy. That being said, this cat will see to it that patrols are doing as they are told. If Redstorm is out of camp on a hunting patrol and she has asked for a border patrol to head out as well, the head warrior will see to it that a border patrol is set on its way. There is no guarantee that the head warrior will ever become the actual deputy, but he or she will be a respected warrior that Redstorm and I can go to for any kind of help." Chickenstar stopped there, hoping all of this made sense to the Clan. Even if there wasn't two deputies, he wanted the Clan to feel as if there were in a way. He didn't want RidgeClan to be without a deputy any longer than it needed to be. After everything that had happened he wanted to make sure the Clan had a well rounded sense of security. He could only hope his Clan would feel the same. "This rank may only last a few seasons or stay forever, but I want to at least give it a try. With that being said, I hope StarClan approves of my choice. Thistlestride, you are to be RidgeClan's first head warrior."- - - - Crystal eyed the tomcat through a narrow gaze. She snickered under her breath, looking at the white and gray tom as she lashed her tail. "Is the poor Clan kitty scared of me?" She mocked with a laugh in her words. "Is he going to attack poor ol' me? Pathetic," she hissed, unsheathing her claws as she prepared herself for a fight. Crystal was sure this tomcat was mouse-brained enough to try and fight her; he was going to lose horribly, but if he wanted a fight then she would more than gladly give it to him. It was time to show these Clan cats who was boss, especially after one had killed her only daughter some seasons ago. It was time to take revenge. I'm here!) Leafgaze snorted and got down preparing for a fight "I'm gonna give you one last chance you spoiled kittypet! Get out of our territory!" He growled, anger burning in his vivid green eyes. The tom cat bared his teeth and lashed his tail. It might or might not be easy to fight this rogue, but he needed to protect his Clan's territory at any cost. Leafgaze suddenly wished he had brought another cat. |
