"You want to get back?" Theo clarified, getting onto the bike easily. Either way, he figured they'd want to get going quickly, there was no use sticking around.

"Uh ya." Xander's head was in a fog. His mother was going to kill him. He had no idea what he was going to tell her or what she knew. He didn't even know why she was calling him.
(Yes, I can duplicate the first plot. Just let me know what Muse you want and what gender pairing!)

Theo nodded. "Home it is." He picked his helmet up and held it out, nodding to the seat behind him. "Come on, it's all the way on the other side of town so we should get going."

Xander nodded and pulled the helmet onto his head before climbing onto the back of the bike. He held on tight as Theo sped off. His mind continued to race as they headed back to the city.

And she's called Amalthea Lux]

Theo moved quickly, slaloming between other vehicles in a way he'd never been able to do in a car. He didn't want to keep Xander for any longer than he had to, not when he seemed more than a little panicked.

Xander prayed that when they got to the library, everything would work itself out. Every scenario ran through his head, and for each one he thought about how he would get out of it.

Theo pulled up by the library and parked, cutting the engine quickly. He paused, waiting for Xander to hop off, before dismounting himself. He took a few moments to lock it up, then nodded to Xander. "Is she here, do you think?"

Today was the day. The day that Kane Demont would finally be headed to Hogwarts. He had been counting down the days in his head ever since his 11th birthday. His entire family had helped him to prepare for this day. His uncle had proudly taken him to get his wand. While his mother and father had bought him every book they he would need. Kane was more than prepared to board the train and start this adventure.
Kane had been born into a proud family of Slytherin's, and there was no doubt in anyone's mind that he would end up their too. Kane had a black hair that was cut close on the sides, and longer on the top. His skin was well tanned and he had bright green eyes. He walked proudly next to his parents as they headed towards platform 9 3/4. Once there, the Demont's received many stares from the other families. Many of whom had already sent their children onto the train.
Kane had grown used to the stares that his family received in the wizarding world. After all, his father did hold a very important job. Kane noticed that there weren't many student's left on the platform, and realized that many of the seats on the train would be taken. His only hope was that he wouldn't be stuck sitting with some mudblood. His cousins had all warned him of what a disaster that would be for Kane's social status in Slytherin.

"I hope not." Xander replied as he pulled the helmet off of his head. His hopes were destroyed however when he turned around and locked eyes with a woman through the glass front doors of the library. "Uhm... Theo you can go if you want to." Xander said almost in a daze like tone. He felt like time had slowed down as his mother pushed through the first set of doors leading to the outside of the library.

[Hmm, I'm tempted to make Amalthea a mudblood, but I'll hold off on specifying for a while until I've decided.]
Amalthea Lux was already sitting on the train, looking out of the window at the station, at all of the people still waiting to come on board. Her compartment was empty apart from her, but she could still see on or two stragglers on the platform so she suspected that it might not be so empty soon.
Amalthea was a wispy waif of a girl - she was tall for her age but very slim, with extremely pale skin, giving her a sort of ethereal, faerie-like look about her. She also had long blonde hair, tumbling down to her waist in glossy waves - she had made an extra effort to look good for her first day at Hogwarts - along with large, doe-like blue eyes.
She, too, was incredibly excited for her first day at the school, and she held her wand in her hand in pride, already dying for her first chance to use it. She'd practised, of course, but never with her actual wand, not wanting to get into trouble for underage magic. So her first chance to cast magic properly would be in Hogwarts, something she was really looking forward to.

(Okay!)
Kane turned back to his parents to say goodbye. He gave his mother a hug and a kiss on the cheek, and gave his father a handshake. There were no words of encouragement from either of them, but he could see the pride in his mother's eyes and his father's stance. Kane turned his back to them and boarded the train. He didn't look back out the window or wave like many other students would do, or were still doing from their compartments. His family had taught him to have much more pride than gestures as sad as those.
He made his way down the center isle of the train, glancing calmly into each compartment that he passed. His face showed little emotion on the outside, and on the inside Kane felt only prepared and a small amount of excitement. He was nearing the end of the train when got to a compartment with only one student inside. She was a thin girl, and tall too. Figuring that there wouldn't be any other availability, Kane knocked gently on the glass before sliding the door open. "May I join you?" He asked the girl politely.

Amalthea had looked around as she saw the carriage door open, and offered the other student a smile before gesturing to the seats around her "Of course, there's plenty of room. Take your pick of the seats"
The girl waited for the other student to get settled in, not wanting to be rude, before offering her hand in greeting along with a smile "Hi. I'm Amalthea Lux - it's great to meet you"
She knew her parents would have left the station a while ago, and they hadn't followed her on the platform, simply seen her off before she'd even gone through to Platform 9 ¾. It was their way - they weren't overly fond of goodbyes, and they'd have gotten upset if they'd had to wait too long to see her off. And she knew seeing the train would have set them off anyway, and she didn't really feel like she needed that emotional drama on her first day at Hogwarts. Her emotions were, quite frankly, running high enough as it was, if she was completely honest with herself. She hadn't felt this emotionally charged since she'd first gotten the letter, and that felt like an eternity ago by this point.

Kane offered no other words as he choose the seat directly across from the other girl. As she reached her hand out to shake his, he returned the gesture. Although, his was without the welcoming smile. "Kane Demont." He shook her hand with confidence and waited for her reaction. Almost every wizard knew of the Demont family, unless they paid no attention to the news. His family was in it quite often. Being wealthy and holding high ranks of power tended to land people as new headlines.
Much of Kane's excitement was beginning to fade. After all, there weren't many more surprises waiting for him. He already knew what house he would be sorted into, and that he would be welcomed into the Slytherin house with open arms. So Kane wasn't very worried about making friends once at Hogwarts. His last bit of excitement was the looming opportunity to finally be allowed to use his magical abilities.

"Demont, huh?" Amalthea nodded, looking impressed "That makes sense- I thought I recognised you from somewhere, but I couldn't place you. I suppose you'll be wanting to be sorted into Slytherin, then?"
She looked out of the window as the train began to pull out of the station, grinning with excitement. They were finally on their way to Hogwarts - she couldn't believe they were finally going, after what felt like such a long time of waiting. She had no idea where she wanted to be sorted - she supposed Ravenclaw or Slytherin, but she wouldn't be averse to being sorted into Gryffindor either. She didn't have particularly strong feelings about Hufflepuff, but it was definitely the house she felt like she belonged the least in, anyway. Hufflepuff was certainly not her thing.

Kane, satisfied with her reaction, sat back a bit in the chair. "I know that I will be placed into Slytherin." A small smile formed on his lips, though it was more from pride than happiness. "Where do you hope to be placed?" He asked Amalthea as he glanced over her. It was hard for him to determine what house she looked like she belonged in, but he could definitely see her fitting into Slytherin,

"If you want me to, I will," he said, watching the woman approach them. "But I have a feeling you'll want somebody to vouch for you. She doesn't look pleased, maybe a good excuse will change that." He didn't know if it would. With his own parents, there would have been no doubt. They never got to this stage over something like missed curfews or a few white lies. They'd never gotten to this stage, period.

"I don't know," Amalthea admitted "I think I'm most likely to be placed in Ravenclaw - I'm not sure I have quite enough ambition to qualify for Slytherin. I don't really mind, but I think it'll probably be one of those two, because I definitley don't see myself as a Gryffindor or a Hufflepuff. I don't have a big family tradition of one house to guide me, anyway, so I've honestly got no idea where I'll be place. I guess I'll just let the Sorting Hat do it's thing. It's the only one who can truly know where a person should be placed"

Xander hardly heard Theo over the blood pounding in his ears. "Ok." Were the only words that managed to escape his lips as his mother made her way to them. "Alexander. Where on Earth have you been!?" She looked furious as she reached where Xander and Theo were standing. She waited with arms crossed for an answer.
"We- uhm." Xander searched his brain for an acceptable answer.

Kane nodded thoughtfully as she spoke. "Well, if it makes any difference, just from the few minutes I have spoken to you, I think that you would make an excellent Slytherin." Kane was speaking the truth. The girl that he had just met was speaking so politely to him. But as she did so, she didn't compromise her confidence once. He found himself thinking for a moment of the future. If she did make it into Slytherin, Kane was sure that the two could become close friends.

Theo, who had taken to this situation as he would a confrontation with a manager, managed to smile. "Hi," he greeted, opening his mouth to continue when he realised that he had no idea what Xander had told his mother. He'd have to wing it. "Theo, nice to meet you. You must be Xander's mother. To answer your question, we just came back from a coffee break." He smiled, a contrast against the calm and collected way he was speaking. "I figured we'd earned it after the last few hours."
