Hey so I'm Glow. I left the old wcf around a year and a half ago, although I would occasionally log on to peek in on my friends. Anyway, my point is that I haven't done anything on a larger forum in a long time. But it seems to me that there are a lot of beautiful changes happening in this community! We're evolving, guys.
All this is to say that I feel like doing a Hogwarts RP and I was wondering if some of you might be willing to join me. I hosted a small group Hogwarts RP a while back on the original wcf and it was super fun. This will probably be the same thing. So I'll need, let's say, seven other people. I like to pride myself in being "advanced", so it would be fantastic if those of you who agree to join are as well. Mostly I mean that I like to post big chunks of writing and if you're not into that, this plot probably is not for you.
That's what this is, a planning thread.

Here's what I'm thinking. I like putting together slots with things like this, just to ensure we get a nice diverse cast of characters. So we'll have eight characters that the RP will center around, and these characters are all in one group of friends. They call themselves The Marauders, after a similar group in the books (if you recall). Our plot takes place in modern times, so obviously it will be quite different from the books in several regards. Really the only similarity is the setting and the name of the group. The plot will be up to us to come up with (which is why I'm making this thread).
As far as slots go, I think it would be best if our cast was mostly from two of the houses. I've created short descriptions for each character that is up for grabs. Once you claim one you will be free to expand on that description however you please, I'm simply using it so that we don't end up with too similar characters.
Slytherins:
A self proclaimed ice queen with a rebellious streak (claimed by glow)
A guarded boy with an awful family (claimed by daffodil)
An ambitious boy with a massive inheritance but a good side (claimed by amberice)
Gryffindors:
A tough girl with strict morals (claimed by bigbadwolf)
A playful girl with an eccentric twist (claimed by Ghostling)
A bravehearted boy with a killer smile (claimed by ოἶʂƈεllმղεօմʂ)
Ravenclaws:
An analytic girl who keeps her feelings close to her chest (claimed by Rosestar)
Hufflepuffs:
A well-liked boy who is ofen in trouble with teachers (claimed by Falling Rosepetals)
Yeah so I don't know if anything is planned like this anymore. I'm just winging it.
Just claim a slot and then we'll discuss what to do with the story. Again, this isn't where we'll be RPing. I'm just spitballing at this stage.
