Well, we could try to come up with some struggle in the wizarding world that isn't blood-related? Idk, I just feel that there isn't much to do with the blood thing without copying the plot of the books

Ah, let me rephrase that: something that isn't solely focused on blood. As in, whatever villain or "evil" force is rising, isn't a force that is compelled to act because they want blood purity. Unfortunately, I don't have any other ideas heh, I'm not particularly creative I'm sorry, but the antagonist(s) should have some deeper motive beyond blood purity, you know? Maybe they use blood purity as a facade for their actual plans, to gain traction, all the while having some ulterior motive.

Okay so what if something similar to the Triwizard Tournament was happening? That way we could have legitimate action, on top of the disputes between houses. I think technically the tournaments were discontinued in the books (if I remember correctly), but we could say for convenience sake that it was brought back but limited only to the Hogwarts houses. Yeah they were discontinued, but we could always say they're trying to bring them back by starting off with just a tournament at Hogwarts, to make sure it's safe. The competition could even be cause for the divide of houses, if that would make it easier. |

I'm watching the deathly hallows part 1 now cause its on tv lol. I'm just excited to use my first hp oc I made back when I was in middle school.
I like the idea of a competition that would be fun to do and it can cause plenty of drama
